Altar vs The Seven Tails
Sun Mar 26, 2017 1:10 am
Welcome to your Bijuu Battle
Before we start, a few ground rules as always.
+Participants are given 48 hours to respond, Mods and NPCs however are given 72 hours.
+The possibility of death is very real and in fact, expected. You are fighting a bijuu after all.
+Once you post here, your stats and jutsu are locked in place. Anything not on your stat page will not be counted, same as the bijuu. Both parties should ensure all final edits to their stat pages are made before posting in this topic
+There are no get out of death free cards, if you die, you die. However the bijuu may not die. A death blow will result in the bijuu being knocked out and primed for sealing.
+If your NPC permits, you may edit your post once. Editing resets the 72 hour counter from time of edit.
+Regardless of how much coding skill you’d like to apply, each technique used must be listed at the bottom of your post along with appropriate AP deduction. If any party fails to list a tech, it does not go through
+Because this is a semi IC event, you may use the words from your battle towards stats/a technique you used or trained.
+Should a battle mod be required, one will be provided. It will not help your case to argue with the battle mod. You may make your point respectfully and then defer to the mod’s judgment.
+Should the first team/participant fail, the next team/participant will get their turn. A new topic will be made for the next fight. Should all bijuu hopefuls for a certain tailed beast fail, signups for that beast will open once more.
+Participants post first, IC investigating a natural oddity that has been occurring near their village/current IC location. The NPC-ed bijuu posts second with a complete stat page as well as their entrance post.
+Best of luck <3

Christ, it was humid.
That was Altar's thought as he made his way through the borders. There had been reports of disturbances in Kirigakure's tides, and people had reported headaches and migraines after hearing an odd buzzing noise. Strange occurrences, to be certain. People often got headaches due to the constant poor weather, and the raging storms caused the sea to be unruly. But it was out of hand, something that the natural happenings of Kirigakure would never cause.
As he walked, the boy made sure to keep his eyes peeled, watching for any movement or activity. He didn't know what could cause this, but he suspected it could be no normal ninja. As he moved, he maneuvered over various pieces of small rubble, making sure not to trip. The armor that was strapped to his body allowed him to move well, though the mask and the cloth over his left eye was something he was still getting used to. It wouldn't inhibit him, but damn was it itchy. And the humidity really didn't help.
Christ, was it humid.

The boy and bug.
Over the ocean, a distant humming echoed for miles. A curious creature was inspecting a storm that wasn't quite natural, a storm that seemed to be persist as if it had some intent. Though, the creature wouldn't find its answers here, staring at said malstrom of wind and rain. It began its trip to what could be considered home, which at this moment consisted of a clearing in a swamp like part of the jungle. More than a simple feeding ground, the beast was beginning to grow fond of the natural beauty, the dark green trees teeming with colorful wildlife and moisthe climate.
With the image of home in mind, the bug began to fly home.
That distant humming was starting to grow into a constant buzzing, the source of the sound closing to fly overhead of a nearby village which intersected its path, and unknowingly, overhead of Altar. The sound would be immense, shaking the trees, the ground, seemingly the world itself shook as the creature passed.
The noise would continue for some distance, before lowering to silence as it landed in the previously mentioned clearing. The giant beast had plenty of room here, roughly since the clearing was a rough oval nearly 300 meters in length and 200 in width. The few trees that were scattered around the middle had been toppled into the shallow water by Chomei.

Altar would halt himself, suppressing his chakra as the ground shook beneath his feet, a horrendous buzzing noise sounding off overhead. As it passed, Altar would look cautiously skyward, catching a glimpse of something giant, green, and he could only presume it was jolly as well. After the beast had passed, the boy would make his way after it. This was the only lead he had, and he sure as hell didn't want to blow it.
After a while of traveling, the boy happened upon marshlands. As he kept his path inwards, he would happen upon an enormous clearing. What seemed to be a man-or-manlike made clearing in the swamp. There was a layer of water ever present on the ground, perhaps two and a half, maybe three inches deep. Trees lay strewn about in the middle of the clearing, only a couple being present. The rest, he could only assume, had been tossed aside by the giant beast that inhabited the middle of the clearing.
It was a massive, insect like creature, the likes of which he himself had never seen before. He vaguely remembered seeing them in ancient history texts, but he had thought them fiction before. Something about creatures made of chakra, made to terrorize the world, yadda yadda. He enjoyed a good read, but historical bores were hardly his first choice.
As he entered the clearing, the boy would be about 100 meters from the bijuu. Deciding it best to make his presence known so as not to startle a giant, the boy would raise his voice, not shouting but broadcasting. If there was to be a peaceful solution to this situation, it'd be preferable. "Hail, giant. May I ask your name, should you have one?" the boy would say, his hands idle at his sides. Awaiting a reply, after receiving one or not the boy would continue his pace forward, walking towards the beast at 50 speed.
"I am an ANBU of Kirigakure, thus I am unable to give you my own name. You may call me Hastur, if you like." the boy would continue as he walked, pausing to give the beast time to acknowledge or reply, and once again if one was received or not, the boy would continue.
"I come from Kirigakure due to disturbances in our tides. I'd suspect you're the cause of this. I ask you to move, somewhere far away where you'll no longer disturb us." the boy would say, pausing once he had reached within forty meters of the beast.

Thinking that a shallow pool of water in nature would be three inches deep perfectly across was foolish. Some parts were much deeper, reaching as deep as three feet. Nonetheless, Chomei was just settling into his new "home."
Altar would arrive on the scene to see the bug placing some of the uprooted trees on the perimeter opposite of the side he came in, doing so by scooping the lumber with his horn and using his teeny legs to carry himself.
Chomei paid no attention to the boy until he spoke, turning his gaze to the voice sounding like a small yapping to the immense creature. He was no dick, and he fully intended to hear the child out. Well, he assumed he was a child. When you're this big, the age of an ant means nothing.
Personally, the big bug took this as an attack. Why couldn't they pack up their things and move on? Plus this dude was ANBU. Ninja? Fuck those guys. Not to mention this dude walked like a crack head, his movements seems slow but the distance he covered was grand. My middle aged mother would definitely be jealous of that power walk.
"No, halt." As he continued, the bug would protest louder and louder until he stopped. "Freeze,"
Once Altar stopped, he'd speak his mind. "This is my home, if you can't deal, buzz off and find a new home." The creature would wrap this conversation up with one final booming "Now begone. Go on, scram, get outta here," whilst making little shoo-ing movements with his front two legs.

From his post forty meters away, Altar could get a good view of the surrounding scape, noting that there were areas where the water went deeper than what he originally thought, some areas seeming to stretch down some feet. Seeing as there was no mention of the water surrounding Chomei itself, we'll say that Chomei was in a small downwards press in the ground, about 100 meters in length and 50 meters in width, most likely where the beast slept, the water in the described area about a foot deep from the likes of it, slowly becoming more shallow as it furthered from the beast before dropping off again in another 50 meters or so to become around three feet deep. Of course, Altar stood in the middle shallow ground facing the beast, and he had managed to find one way in where the water remained shallow to enter the clearing in the first place.
Chomei's response to him was both expected and a surprise. He hadn't exactly expected such a legendary creature to be so...informal. It was strange to think about, surely. Unfortunately for both parties, it seemed a peaceful resolution was out of the question, and Altar couldn't exactly just walk away.
"You can't give it a chance. It's one or done."
"For once, I agree. End it fast. Could always bring it to Void and make it suffer later"
After the bug finished speaking, the boy would prepare himself for combat, his Byakugan activating under his mask and his skin dampening ever so slightly, moving his right hand about an inch and a half away from his face, forming the seal of confrontation (speed 165), the boy disappearing the instant the seal completed.
Seeing as Chomei had not shifted his posture from being down on his smol legs, save motioning with his two front, and due to the artificial divot in the ground where Chomei was, it's head would be well within fifty meters ground distance of Altar, resting at just about ground level with the shallow middle ground.
The boy would reappear a meter from Chomei's head on the right side around the crook between the head and shoulder-pauldron-thing, forming handseals as he appeared (speed 165), moving forwards towards Chomei as well (speed 90). As he completed the fifth handseal, the boy would release a stream of water from his mouth aimed for the right side of the beast's head, the water quickly becoming electrified after release (speed/power 125). If Chomei were impacted by the stream, the beast would find itself unable to move.
If all went well, the beast would be hit and paralyzed, and Altar would form a snake handseal, ten seals appearing on his body. The seals would combine and form eight individual seals. Two would take place on his sides, one on each side, about a foot under his armpits. Two more would place on his thighs, one on each side, facing outwards. Two would place on his ankles, one on each, facing his front. One would form on his stomach, facing his front, and the final uncombined seal would form on his lower back, facing backwards of course. Again, assuming the beast had been struck by the stream of electrified water, the boy would use let the hands manifest and use them to scale the side of the beast's head along with his natural arms. Once on top, the arms on his stomach and sides would grab the beast's horn at varying levels, the arms extending to accomodate, wrenching it and snapping it from the beast's head before flipping it upside down and driving it downwards through it's skull, pinning the beast in place (200 power/speed).

The second Altar moved his hand, especially at that speed, Chomei knew the stranger hadn't taken well to his proposal to hit the road. Webs shot out of the beast in all directions for three meters, wrapping themselves around his body right before the man had warped himself to the side of the beast. (150 speed, health.) As the man warped, they would harden into a cocoon, protecting the creature from his attack, if he continued through with it.

As the boy reappeared, ready to go, he would stop short and push himself backwards about two and a half meters, noting the shell that had formed around Chomei. It seemed to be made of some sort of thread or webbing, but it looked like it was hard as a rock. That...could prove to be a problem.
The boy would decide to change his plan of attack, deactivating his Byakugan and Water Trident and moving to where the head of the beast had been (speed 50). It would take a few seconds at most, the ANBU deciding to form a snake handseal (speed 125) on the way there, ten seals appearing on his body, combining and shifting place as was described before (speed 100).
Seeing as Chomei had formed the cocoon so tightly around himself, there was little to no room for the beast to move or change position inside the cocoon.
As he reached the 'head' of the cocoon, standing about a meter away, facing it so he would be facing Chomei inside, the boy would allow the arms to manifest, the two at his sides and the two at his thighs all extending to their full range and settling on the surface of the cocoon, pressing down on it (power/speed 200). Of course, the cocoon, around Chomei's head, would shatter rather quickly, and the moment it did, the hands at his ankles and his stomach would all extend forward to full range to, quite literally, punch Chomei in his big face (power/speed 200). At the same time, the hands that had shattered the shell would continue in their path, all four aiming to grab Chomei's head at each intermediate direction (power/speed 200)
Of course, the hands would knock Chomei out cold, their impact being more than the beast's fragile frame could handle. However, if at any point something unsatisfactory would happen, Altar would change his plan and actions accordingly.

As the boy teleported to the right of the beast's head, he'd find himself falling to the ground, slipping between the head and shoulder section of the cocoon. Chomei would attempt to burst from the back of the cocoon after the boy had fallen. Before Altar hit the ground, the creature would attempt to scream, its mouth pointed towards him.
The sound could be heard for miles, and the man would be torn apart by the vibrations of the sound. Ripples in the air expanded from the mouth, causing the ground to shake and condense into a crater.

As the boy reappeared, he would note his mistake in teleporting to the direct side of the beast, getting an odd sense of deja vu. In the air, the boy would form a snake handseal (speed 160), the seals activating and combining instantly in the positions mentioned prior, again, each arm manifesting and extending to full size. Of course, due to this timing, the beast had not yet started to move inside it's cocoon, it's now shared hell with the boy.
Now, as the beast was before him, still having yet to move, the boy would let the hands rain hell upon the great beast's head as it began it's movement backwards, the two at his sides grabbing on to the beast's head and the arms at his thigh level and ankle level aiming to repeatedly strike the beast in the head (power/speed 200). Of course, the hands at his sides would reel the boy in close to the beast, making for an even quicker process. All in all, a great multitude of punches would be thrown and impact the beast in a matter of a couple seconds. While the other hands were moving, the hand at his back would brace itself against the side of the cocoon directly backwards from him until it was out of range of the wall.
