Weak genin, no more (Open)
Tue Mar 28, 2017 6:43 pm
Sora was sitting out on the training fields, meditating. Sora never got super stressed so that wasn't the reason for this. Sora found it the best to get some fresh air and just breath for while. The bird cirped around, the sky was bright with a baby blue color and the sun. Childeren could be heard from a distance, playing. The grass even felt nice where he sat himself. Over all, it was a beautiful day that Sora was sure many were taking advantage of just like himself.
While sitting, Sora thought it would be a good idea to start flowing his chakra. Sora did this often, this lead to easy chakra release, leading to jutsu. Ayato, his former senpai, gave him praise for this before when he and Sora trained together. With his praise lead to Sora good self esteem, although he didn't show it.
Sora's blank face even puzzled his grandparents, whom which he lived with. He didn't know how other people thought of it though beacuse he could read people expresstions as well as he could show them.
Then Sora got up from where he sat. He came out here for one other reason then just sitting there and taking in the nice environment. He came there to train as well. Sora has been noticing that even people of his same rank could beat him, so he needed to change that. Sora began to flow his chakra again. He performs the proper hand sign and then took his lighting chakra to the palm of his hand like he had in Ayato's training. After all that was done, he starts to attack the wooden pole that was placed there for training shinobi, like himself, could use. The wood wasn't effected much by the lighting style jutsu, mostly because it was meant to be used on other humans. He fired his hands at the wooden pole until he grew sore. So Sora stop and sat down again. He looks at his hands, they were red but nothing bad happened to them.

“Come on…” It should not be this hard. All that the boy was doing was attempting to kick a tree trunk in a very dynamic manner. He retreated the several paces once more as he looked towards the tree. His eyebrows furrowed as he took a deep breath. His feet kicked up dirt as he took off and leapt into the air. “AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH” was the vocalization of the releasing of his own energy into the kick as he soared through the air. His aim seemed to be off, however, as he missed the tree entirely and shot past it, causing his form to falter as he realized his mistake in midair. The boy immediately began descending rapidly from his aerial position as his foot hit the ground, causing him to go from like twenty miles per hour to zero in the course of half a second. He immediately fell face first into the dirt and skidded for a moment before lying there in the grass. In pain.
He pushed himself up and brushed the acquired dirt that had accumulated itself onto his clothing before giving an exasperated sigh. It seemed that the only way that the boy was able to train was through a trial and error method. Damon was rather impatient, as he wanted to know an entire arsenal of jutsu by now, but could not find the time to hone his skills between the work that he did among other things. He walked over towards the row of training dummies that had so kindly been left out by Hoshikagure officials and prepped himself for running. “I can do this, I can do this, I can do this…” his voice trailed on into a low murmur as he began running. Taking short breaths in between statements, Damon soon found himself leaping into the air towards a certain dummy that, unbeknownst to him, was the very one that Sora had been practicing on. “I CAN DO THIS” came the vocalized release of energy that doubled up as a cry for success. His foot connected with the dummy, rather successfully, as he knocked it down. It was not hard enough to say, shatter the damn thing, but it was as hard as he could kick for the time being. After all, he was a rather fresh genin.
Damon then noticed the tired looking genin that he had found himself in the general vicinity of. He thought for a moment as his expression went blank, all the while panting. He was leaning forwards, palms rested on his knees, attempting to catch his breath once more. Should I run? Should I say ‘hi’? Damon was not much for interacting with others, but since he was a shinobi now, it would probably do him good to reach out to his comrades and form bonds with them. It would help to improve their teamwork in the field, should the need for battle and strategy ever arise. He walked over and stretched his arm outwards towards the sitting boy. “Hey,” he said plainly, “My name’s Damon. Nice to meet you.” It was a rather basic greeting but an effective one nonetheless. Should Sora take his hand, Damon would pull Sora up from the ground. If Sora did not take his hand, Damon would retract it rather awkwardly and attempt to strike up a conversation anyways, based on the reactions from the boy.

The Arugula just finished his day at poker. Having already played for a few hours, he gained a little money, but not very much. Unfortunately, a lot of the day, he was card dead. This meant that he didn't really get a lot of playable hands. He did manage to win a small pot though. That was about it.
After his poker day, Arugula decided to go and finish his learning of the technique leaf great whirlwind tech. He would walk out to the training grounds to look for a training dummy to use. Apparently, they would have a few. Arugula would walk over and grab the very left one. He would put it down on the ground to practice the taijutsu a bit. He would get into position to start the jutsu.
He would start with a low kick, to a middle kick, to a high kick, and then a heel drop. Arugula would accidentally do the heel drop wrong. He would do the heel drop, and it would land at the front of the dummy. The dummy would fly away from the Arugula. He realized that he messed up when he saw the dummy fly away from him. This was an unexpected mistake, as Arugula thought that he was well practiced at the heel drop part. Arugula was in the air at the time, so he would not be ready to stop the dummy. Arugula would fall down for a second, and after landing, he would hope he did not hit someone. This dummy would fly by Sora, but not hit him. This would happen around the time that Damon would introduce himself to Sora. Arugula would walk to Sora and say, "Sorry, about that bro."

Sora looked at Damon with his infamous blank gaze as he introduced himself. He did, however accept his offer to be helped up. Once he got up with Damon's help, the dummy that The Arugula kicked toward them had flow by. Sora looked at the other genin with the same gaze as he gave Damon. Then, out of good manners, Sora bowed to them both and intoduced himself. "I am Sora Nishimata." Sora added as he felt it was necessary to tell them, "I am of Genin rank." His head band that he had placed on his forehead gleamed from the beauty of the sun. "Do any of you need assistance?" Sora asked with his expressionless look.

Akemi had decided to go to a different training grounds today. He usually trained in his apartment or the wildlife reserve, but today he seemed to be in a lot more quieter place. Gone, were the usual sounds of the busy chatter next to his apartment and the continuous sounds of animals making sounds. Sure, he was normally in complete awe at the extent of beauty in mother nature, but the continuous drone of birds tweeting really ground his gears, so to speak. So, he was currently in the water gardens training grounds, practicing a taijutsu technique known as the block.
It seemed like a pretty useful move, being able to block the majority of oncoming damage would certainly save him someday. Akemi realised he was training loads of "Get out of jail free" techniques. With his last resort jutsu and he planned to become someone who would suddenly gain a bunch of power and take the enemy out by surprise. He also needed to become durable, while he was no pushover, he could certainly get taken out rather quickly by someone with any decent amount of strength. Coming to this realisation had made him take out a scroll on blocking and begin learning the technique. Thus, why he was currently training in the water gardens.
He began flowing through the motions for a block. Lifting his forearms to block an attack from an imaginary opponent. Doing this he realised two things. One: he probably looked like an idiot training against air. Two: This would be so much easier to learn if he had some kind of training partner. But that seemed to impossible for Akemi to achieve. His social skills were definitely not the best. In fact, they were probably the worst in all of Hoshi. Any social situation he was put into ended up with a mix of stutters and awkward movements. But he still really wanted some way to find a training partner.
As if on cue, he heard the sound of someone screaming very dynamically beyond the trees he was situated behind. What was that? thought Akemi. Suppressing his chakra, he started moving through the trees towards the sound of the dynamic sounding shouts. Once he made it to the edge of the trees he saw a boy, roughly about 15-16, charging at a dummy, screaming, very dynamically, about being able to do this. What was he doing? Then it became obvious the boy was practicing some kind of taijutsu technique. Akemi was not sure, but it looked quite funny.
Eventually the boy tired and looked around. Akemi continued to watch from a tree, roughly 10 meters away from the boy, continuing to use chakra suppression. Akemi looked up and spotted another boy, about 12 years old, was looking quite tired further up on the field. Well, seemed like his peace and quiet had been compromised, why not make the best of it? He continued to watch the two people on the field, watching them talk and watching the 15 year old offer a hand to pull the boy up. Then, to add to Akemi's surprise, a dummy came flying out of nowhere, and it looked like it was heading towards the two.
Akemi began to panic slightly, should he attempt to save them and compromise his hiding spot? The internal conflict continued for a few seconds before he finally decided to help them. It wasn't that he didn't want to help them, it was just that he would probably be forced into a social situation with them afterwards, it was probably a silly thing to think in such a predicament, though Akemi could not help himself.
During his inner struggle it seemed that the dummy was now very close to the two boys. Snapping out of it, he began to soundlessly move through the trees towards the two. That's when the dummy sailed right past the two boys, not even skimming them. Akemi breathed a sigh of relief, seems his help wasn't needed after all. He turned to leave, but stopped himself. It seemed that another person had joined the group now, making three total. He turned and looked at them, he had yet to see how far he had progressed in his training compared to other people, why waste this chance?
So, Akemi started heading towards the group, jumping from the tree branches onto the field without a sound. Stopping in front of the three, he cleared his throat quietly and started coming up with a way to speak.
"Umm, d-do you, ermm, want to spar?" he asked them, stuttering slightly

A training dummy similar to the one that Damon had just dynamically kicked down landed next to the two boys. After the initial shock, the boy pulled Sora up from the ground before investigating. At least he had planned too before another person walked up and apologized, revealing himself to be the cause of the disturbance. He then registered that Sora had introduced himself after giving the new arrival a look over before deciding to introduce himself as well. Sora seemed to be a more formal sort of person, whereas he himself was quite casual and made that known. “I’m a genin as well. Call me Damon.” He felt no need to share his full name as a sort of formality or bow, but he did extend his hand to Arugula as he introduced himself. “And you are?” He would wait for the boy to accept his gesture and introduce himself. Should he accept or not, yet another boy would then approach the trio and ask for a spar. Instead of answering immediately, he decided to wait for the other’s reply before he came to a decision himself. After all, he was not even remotely strong yet, and had only partaken in two missions that were not combat oriented. So this would be his first real battle, and he could perhaps use the experience to learn some more jutsu that he had had in mind.

After the Arugula apologized, another dude appeared. He must be a rather aloof dude who must not have very good social skills. It also seemed weird that that person was jumping through the trees to come over here. Arugula would think that he could have walked. Perhaps he was training a new kind of technique. Regardless, he would soon come to Arugula and the other two genin and offer to spar. Arugula would say, "Sure I guess I can spar with you." Arugula was not really worried about not having very many jutsu yet. He was pretty sure that the other genin here didn't have too many jutsu either.
Arugula would get ready to go fight. He would remember the training that he did with Jeisuta. He learned some ability to fight. He would hope that he would be able to do some taijutsu when he would be done with this fight.

A Spar? Sora thought as Akemi suggested. Sora had spar once before with Jei but that was only is first. Sora was a bit nervous, not knowing the others abilities. So he began to analyze from appearance. Damon was older and had jet black hair, he had no visible weapons. Next was The Arugula. He was even older than Damon, he was also super tall but skinny and also no visable weapons. Lastly was the latest comer, Akemi. He was around the same age as The Arugula. Although, out of the group, he was the only one with a visible weapon. Now that Sora was done with analyzing the group with appearance, he needed to analyze there powers and abilities.
Sora looked to the group once more, giving them his expressionless face. "Will this be a free for all?" He asks.

When he had the three pairs of eyes looking at him, Akemi half buried his face in his scalf, shuffling his feet side to side slightly. He began playing with his right sleeve with his hand when he noticed the analyzing gaze from the young one. Why did he think this was a good idea? Well, he was here now, it would probably be a lot more rude to just 'Walk off' now. Then again, did he come off rude? These people had probably never seen him before and he had just walked in and asked for a spar. It was what ninjas did, right? Sparring was the ninja-way of socialising. He had often heard his grandpa go on about 'Words Through fists" or something like that, was that true? Well he was about to find out. Lost in thought, he heard the younger ones question directed at him. Assuming no one else would answer, Akemi started to speak.
"S-sure, we can do a f-free for all, any objections?" He asked, though it would be slightly muffled due to the fact that he was currently burying his face under his scarf. Assuming no one objected, Akemi would continue. "I-i think that we s-should be allowed to use anything in are arsenal, I-i-i have been training in taijutsu my whole life, i also come from a c-clan that specialises in taijutsu, so i think it would be a little bit unfair to just limit you all to taijutsu. N-n-no killing blows, try not to use anything too p-p-powerful, lets go." After he said this, the young Hiyu was somewhat surprised, that was probably the most he had ever spoken to a person in his life, bar his parents. He also remembered something that had completely eluded his memory for a while, his summons. Would he be able to earn their respect if he summoned one now? He decided against it, his sparring partners probably wouldn't like it if another being joined in on the fight.
Assuming no one had stopped him at this point, Akemi would shuffle his feet into a stance. With his left foot facing towards the group and his right foot behind it pointing to the right. All his weight would be put onto his right foot so that if needed, he would be able to shoot out with all his weight and power. If no one had made any move at this point, the teen genin would slowly lift both his hands in front of his head, with his left hand slightly in front of his right hand. He would then look at the rest of the group, eyeing them carefully, there was about 4m in distance between Akemi and the group. He would also be ready to use the genjutsu release should anything out of the ordinary happen.
"You g-g-guys ready?" He asked, eyes never leaving the rest of the group.
If, still, no one had made any move against Akemi, he would make the air next to his right hand compact and pressurise, forming a 24 inch wind arrow in his right hand. He would then hold it tightly and flick his wrist, aiming the wind arrow so that it would just scrape the top of Sora's neck, Akemi didn't want to injure people to badly after all. After this was done, Akemi would continue to watch the rest of the group for any reactions.

Damon was calm on the surface, albeit quiet. He had never really fought anyone else before, aside from an accidental encounter with a guard on a B rank mission. Aside from that though, he was worried that his jutsu arsenal would be vastly weaker than that of his fellow shinobi. His athletic prowess must have been far weaker than theirs as well. He could barely even run. Damon had accidentally formed a nasty habit of forgetting to breathe whenever he ran, so he could barely exert himself physically without getting tired. However, he would not be one to walk away from a challenge. While the timid boy kept stuttering over his words, Damon used the Rat → Boar handseals to open storage displacement, and withdraw a notebook that he kept to mark down the jutsu that he had in mind that he wanted to learn. After selecting one that sounded promising, he signed the handseals again and allowed the book to dissipate into little particles as it faded away to his pocket dimension. “Sure, I’m game.” He said this with some confidence, but in truth, he only half meant this. He smirked and took a few steps back from the group before they began. As he was not feeling very descriptive, Damon simply observed the scene before him as the shyest of the bunch seemed to take up the initiative and strike first. He seemed to be able to manipulate the air currents into the shape of arrows and fling them at opponents. Luckily, he was not aiming at the Uchiha, so he would not have to do anything as of yet. Instead he began building up his chakra in order to prepare himself to retaliate, should anyone approach him, or to strike out if he is left unattended.
