Though he couldn't see the boy's eyes widen, Kazuo could see in his body language that the boy was terrified. That shred of humanity that he could see beyond the mask was enough to make Kazuo hesitate, starting to turn his blades so that the flat ends would connect with his opponent. An act of hesitance and of mercy, sympathy for his enemy.

"What are you doing?" Yuumei asked him, baffled by this. "He'll remember your face! They'll kill you if you don't kill him, Kazuo!" She cried frantically, trying to make him see reason.
"The camp would have seen me anyways. I don't want this kid's blood on my hands if I can help it. Not today." Kazuo answered as his blades collided with him, the blunt force being enough to knock him out cold and send him sprawling forwards onto the ground. He slowed to a stop near his opponent, his blades subsiding and returning to their normal states, quickly sheathed by Kazuo

"Fine, if you wanna be like that, at LEAST check to see if he has any money. You need every cent you can get" Said Yuumei, exerting her control over him. Kazuo's form twitched as she took the reins, and he knelt to his fallen foe, quickly looting all of the ryo he had on him, before standing again and taking off into the woods. It took every ounce of will Kazuo had to keep her from slitting his throat, but he managed to hold her off that much, at least. They really needed to have a chat about their current arrangement, as Kaz wasn't too thrilled to share anymore...
