Re: Training to become Stronger (open, nk)

Fenrir's smile seemed to diminish slightly at the Genin's words, as they brought back memories from long ago, in a life forgotten. He stopped smiling entirely, seemingly oblivious to the world around him as he ventured into his mind, trying to grasp at the memory. A man, important in some way, cut down before Fenrir's eyes. Who was it? He simply couldn't find the face, the man's details remaining blurred from his mind's eye. Suddenly, Fenrir's head would jerk to the left, snapping him out of his trance-like state. His smile would return quickly as he processed the rest of what was said. I only wanted to spar, as now that our villages are in an alignment of sorts, it would be a waste to damage two perfectly good ninja, or at least one ninja and a future shinobi. Truthfully, Fenrir did want to see what their throats looked like with less throat, but that was one of those bad things he wasn't supposed to act on. I do like the suggestion of Taijutsu only, although you both seem to be a bit stronger than me, it seems like it can make it more of a fair fight. I'm afraid if I went all out I might accidentally burn you to a crisp, and we don't want that now do we?
Is that what Fenrir wanted? He didn't want to hurt people, did he? That's not what he was taught a ninja should do, they're supposed to have honor, dignity, and be kind, aren't they? Don't be a fool, being a ninja is about power, and the best way to prove your power is to hurt and destroy those who doubt it. Yes, that was right, ninja are meant to fight, and fight is what he would do. The smile returning to his face, Fenrir would take up his position 20 meters away from the 2, standing at the ready with one hand on the handle of his Candy Cane Sword and the other facing the two, palm outward. Are you ready? It was time to have some fun.

Higuto kept his hands in his pockets as he watched Fenrir back up and hold a sword at the ready. He seemed ready to go as well as Asollan. He smiled before taking a hand out of one of his pockets and began to crack his knuckles. This would be the first time he actually tested his abilities on another person. It's mainly always ever been training with tree stumps and wooden dummies. The lack of experience was staggering but he felt that any training session, even if he wound up floored by his opponent, brought experience.
His left hand never left his pocket as he got into a stance and held his other hand by his side. He watched Fenrir and Asollan closely while planning his first move. He inhaled deeply as he thought about moves he would be making as well as what to do if things became too intense. He couldn't help but feel that even though Fenrir had stated that he only wanted a spar there was no telling what the other ninja would do. He needed to be cautious. "Forgive me if I seem... terrible. I'm not well acquainted to Taijutsu as well as others may be but I'll give my best."

Asollan grinned at the willingness of the two for his suggestion of taijutsu, this would indeed be a good test of skills. “Well well, I’m all excited here. Just don’t throw a tantrum if you end up hurt.” He glanced over at the other leaf ninja, he didn’t really seem the fighting type if he was honest. “I hope you don’t freeze up on me now.” His eyes darted back to Fenrir who seemed to have taken a safe 20-meter buffer zone and gripped onto a weapon of some kind. He wasn’t entirely sure what it was but if he was to use this weapon he would be ready to draw his sword and counter at any moment. After all, this was a taijutsu fight, not a kenjutsu one.
It didn’t seem like either of the two would make the first move, the leaf ninja seemed to be overanalysing things. “Well if neither of you will make the first move then I have no problem initiating.” Asollan wasted no more time and began picking up pace towards Fenrir his eyes focused on his hands. Asollan kept his hand close together as if he was getting ready to box someone, but of course, it wasn’t an ‘if’ that he’d try and beat this guys face up.

Fenrir watched as the Academy student approached, rather impatiently, as he had grown used to dealing with those faster than or almost as fast as himself. Well, this is just what one had to deal with when training with those weaker than oneself, and he did kind of ask for it. Judging by the other ninjas speed, if Fenrir moved forward about 6 meters, Asollan would be able to reach him soon enough. Sheathing his sword, Fenrir would step forward quickly, covering 6 meters to lower their total distance to 9.5 meters. If Asollan kept running, he would quickly make his way to Fenrir, and the fight would actually be able to start. As he moved, Fenrir would also sheathe his sword, taking up a defensive stance to prepare to recieve his opponent. He didn't want to try and overdo it by completely wrecking the student, especially with his teammate hanging back so far that he wouldn't be able to help. He also wasn't able to use any jutsu to mess with them as they stood out of reach, so that was completely off the table.
Unfortunately, Fenrir's post would be rather short, as he didn't want to try and speed-blitz his opponents and needed to wait on his foe to reach him.

Higuto watched the events unfold as he saw Asollan and Fenrir getting closer to each other. Any moment they would clash and being as far away as Higuto was the only way he could close the gap quickly would be with a jutsu. However, as the rule stated that no jutsus were allowed he set upon running forward. His speed would slowly grow but for now he was running at a speed that allowed him to only cover four meters between the two.
He kept his planning around what he would do upon reaching the two. He knew he wasn't very good at taijutsu so he'd have to come up with ways to support Asollan for the fight. He watched as the two continued to move toward each other in the meantime.

Asollan watched his enemy closely as he began to pick up the pace, he had taken his hands off his weapon which made him grin as he was almost hoping for a battle of swords. However, was important now was overcoming his foe with good old fashioned taijutsu. When it came it came to raw taijutsu he wasn’t so bad, though he was much better with a blade. Asollan thought it fair warning as he shouted, “I hope you’re ready!”
Asollan reached top speed as he raced towards his target, Fenrir, managing to close in 9 meters which only left a distance of 0.5 meters between them. Asollan smirked as he knew he could now reach him with his legs. He twisted on the heel of his foot and raised his knee as if to strike at the side of the head before pivoting back to fake the movement from the side and instead strike with the ball of his foot at the boy’s chest. He wasn’t sure how much damage he’d do but he was sure he’d left at least a sting. Pushing off his body Asollan would recover his footing and raise his arms to prepare for a counter attack.

While the boy wasn't too terribly fast, he was certainly able to throw a harder hit than Fenrir. As the knee seemed to be coming at him, Fenrir prepared to block, but found that instead, his right foot would be coming directly for the chest. Sidestepping to the left, putting him out of reach of the other foot and on the outer side of the attacking limb, Fenrir would push it up with his right arm. This, assisted by the momentum from the kick, would likely be enough to put him off balance, maybe even enough to tip him over backwards. Either way, it would open up an opportunity for Fenrir to land a hit or two. His speed gave him the advantage as he swung his right leg at his opponents left, the last thing holding him up. If the blow connected, which it almost certainly would, than Asollan would be knocked over or at least distracted while Fenrir ran towards his other opponent.
Higuto had yet to make a move, and Fenrir was ready to get things going for the genin, as it was rather unfair for Asollan to be left alone to deal with Fenrir. Upon reaching the genin, he wouldn't strike or grapple or even taunt him. Fenrir would simply stop 5 meters in front of him, standing and waiting for his opponents to get close once again, this time together. Hopefully, he would be able to see how well they worked together. Even if they didn't like it, Kiri and Konoha were now aligned, and Fenrir intended to make every part of the two villages stronger, including himself.

Higuto was running forward as he watched the two show off their taijutsu prowess against each other. He could see Asollan trying for some feints with his attacks while Fenrir seemed to be fast enough to process the attacks and dodge accordingly. Higuto could see the difference between them: Asollan had the strength and could probably wound Fenrir but that would have had to have been if he was lucky as Fenrir was clearly faster. Inevitably he saw Fenrir do a move which might've toppled Asollan as Higuto saw Fenrir's attention turn to him. This encouraged Higuto to reach his top speed as he charged forth.
Fenrir had decided to stand a few meters away from Higuto. He could only surmise that it was to allow Higuto to make the first move. After having a look at Fenrir's speed, however, he knew that more than likely he wouldn't be fast enough to land a strike himself. However he felt he may have been just fast enough to possibly set Fenrir up for Asollan. So he circled around Fenrir, stopping behind him while keeping low to the ground, as he brought his foot in for a leg sweep straight to the heels of Fenrir. He had hoped that even if Fenrir could foresee the move he would choose to jump and avoid it and allow Asollan to recover and possibly hit him as he hung in the air.

Asollan’s eyes widened as he attacked, it looked like Fenrir was quick to reflect his attack even after the feint. If there was one thing Fenrir had, it was speed. By the time he had recovered Fenrir had easily covered another 5 meters towards the genin who charged back at full speed. “Hmm, that’s better.” Asollan mumbled to himself as he raced over to catch up to the two as the genin preparing for a leg sweep, would that really work? As he came from behind Fenrir, it seemed he had lost his balance but wasn’t completely toppled over.
Asollan smiled as he pushed forward with his back-left leg and struck with his right knee to Fenrir’s side as the genin’s legs swept at him causing Fenrir to topple over his legs. The extra force caused the boy for a brief moment to float in the air just above the ground, opening up the opportunity for his next strike. Asollan turned on the balls of his back-left foot and angled his right leg so that with a quick snap extension he would unleash a swift blow to the boy’s jaw sending him skidding across the dirt. “Strike!” Asollan quipped. He turned to the Genin promptly, “By the way, I don’t believe I got your name.”

As the genin went for a sweep at Fenrir's leg, he quickly formulated his plan of action. The Student would have undoubtedly charged at him from behind, as he seemed to be the most aggressive fighter in the group, being the first to attack. That would mean if he got hit by the sweep, then he would be left open to both of their attacks, and would essentially become a human volleyball. That wasn't going to happen. Since he had stopped, Fenrir lost all of his momentum, but he knew he could still move faster than either of them, even from a complete stop. Fenrir would jump to dodge the sweep, but it wasn't quite how Higuto had expected him to. When Higuto went for the sweep, he went behind Fenrir, in the way of Asollan, who had been coming from behind. This would make it easy to get away from both by simply jumping away, placing himself 10 meters from the two. If Asollan had even tried to make his attack, he would have been blocked by the body of Higuto as well as the distance between the two. This was beginning to get fun, but he had to remain smart about how he was doing this, so he would place another 5 meters between them by taking a few large steps back. This, based on their speed, would give him a break, as neither would be able to reach him before his next move.
This next move would make his advantage greater, boosting his speed. So, what do you say to adding our swords to this mix? Maybe even some Ninjutsu for you? When saying "you" he would point to Higuto, who thusfar seemed to specialize in something other than Taijutsu. Offering to add in what the other two specialized in seemed like the best way to make this fight a bit more fair. Besides, he didn't even really know that much ninjutsu, C-Rank being the strongest he could use.
Current positions: Fenrir 15 meters away from Higuto, Asollan next to Higuto on the side opposite Fenrir.
