A Meeting of Youths (Open, Atarashi Senju)

Atarashi gets an idea, out of the hundred moving through his head. He takes a horse stance and forms a clone seal. He then starts building up his chakra in preparation for trying to perform the shadow clone jutsu. It's fairly slow at first. he has to pull on parts of his chakra he hasn't really had to use before because he's never attempted to perform a very powerful jutsu like this before. The sheer scope of the shadow clone jutsu is, on its own, putting strain on his chakra system. The idea of creating a flesh and blood clone of himself that can exist on its own is such an extreme idea that it's hampering his ability to build up the chakra required. That means it's going to take even longer to build up the chakra just to use in this single jutsu. He continues to hold the ram seal and pull on his chakra reserves to get enough chakra to start trying to perform the shadow clone jutsu. The chakra keeps building and Atarashi starts to sweat from the strain of pulling on this much chakra for a single jutsu. In order to maintain focus on building up his chakra for the shadow clone jutsu Atarashi starts focusing on the flow of the wind around him and his own shadow. He watches the effects of the wind blowing on the leaves and the trees around him. He watches as his shadow stays as still as the sun is they sky, only deviating a little from where ti used to be. He feels the wind blowing across his skin, going to the place where the wind will be calmer. He watches how the wind blowing around him and across his skin dances with the leaves of the trees around him, causing them to shake and dance. He focuses on how the wind he's standing in feels as it flows against he skin and carries anything that's not tied down along with it, and how some of the stuff being carried by the wind he's standing in feels as it brushes against his skin. He watches as his shadow remains stoic as it ignores all of this and stays standing there, completely still excepting the movement of the sun. The focus on the wind blowing around him and on his stoic shadow allows Atarashi to continue to build chakra to use in the shadow clone jutsu with minimal discomfort. The chakra continues to build at a steady rate, even if the chakra doesn't build at a fast rate. If anyone were to look at Atarashi right now they'd see something they wouldn't expect. You'd expect to see a child struggling to build up the chakra for this. However, that's not the case. Instead his face is completely blank. It almost looks like he's under the effects of genjutsu or maybe some kind of trance. He looks like a man, or boy in this case, possessed. It doesn't look normal. In fact it looks rather unnatural. However there's no way of knowing what would happen if he were to be disturbed. It may be best to just let him continue, however he doesn't look well.

Once Atarashi has built up enough chakra to even begin to attempt to try to perform the Shadow clone jutsu, he starts funneling that chakra into the clone seal. He then takes the chakra he's channeled into the shadow clone jutsu seal and starts moving it to his right to start trying to build up the shadow clones entailed by the said shadow clone jutsu. He starts with his right foot. He molds his shoes with lots of detail so that they look just right. He then starts contributing chakra to his shadow clone's right leg. Atarashi perfectly proportions his shadow clone's right leg so it looks exactly like his. He then starts making the clothing that he's wearing on his right leg. He models every fiber of his clothes so that not a single thread is out of place. In his mind Atarashi believes that it has to be a completely perfect copy of himself. That way if anyone has a stupidly powerful eye for detail they won't be able to tell the difference between him and his clones. He starts with his left foot. He molds his shoes with lots of detail so that they look just right. He then starts contributing chakra to his shadow clone's left leg. He then starts making the clothing that he's wearing on his left leg. He models every fiber of his clothes so that not a single thread is out of place. Atarashi perfectly proportions his shadow clone's left leg so it looks exactly like his. Atarashi then connects the two legs and the clothing that's on them. He begins to work his way up the body starting with the waist/hips/pelvis area. He adds the stupid amount of detail he does with the rest of his body but I can't talk about it. He then focuses his efforts onto making his abdomen as accurate as possible. He starts with that clothing that was covering his abdomen, making sure not to let the clone drift in any form that might screw around with how the image looks. He then starts to fill out the clothes with his own form that he makes from the chakra he's pouring into the shadow clone jutsu. He sculpts his own body with relentless precision and determination. He then gets around to making his chest and all of the things associated with it. He starts with the clothes, of course, and is extra careful here since people watch your core when you fight and that means he'd be in a very bad spot if that high level of attention spotted a flaw in his clone. He then lines the shadow clone's clothes with his shadow clone body, making every application of chakra as accurate as he can. He then moves to his right arm. He starts with the sleeve and makes it perfectly. He then fills out the sleeve with the shadow clone version of his right arm. He continues down until he reaches his hand. He forms his hand with amazing precision. He even gets the scars on his hands completely perfect. He then moves on to his left arm. He starts with the sleeve and makes it perfectly. He then fills out the sleeve with the shadow clone version of his left arm. He continues down until he reaches his hand. He forms his left hand with amazing precision. He even gets the scars on his hands completely perfect. He finally gets to his head. Every strand of hair is carefully placed. His eyes are placed and designed perfectly. His mouth and nose are both identical to his real self. The headband is the last part of the clone. Atarashi finishes by pouring an extra bit of chakra into the clone to bring it to life. It looks around, seemingly confused before it enters the same state as the real Atarashi.

Once he's done Atarashi and his clone leave the dazed state. Atarashi and his clones seems surprisingly disorientated, even given that he just pulled of a huge jutsu. His face is back to normal and he turns to Higuto. All three of them ask:

"Did I do it?"

Higuto watches how the young Senju goes into the situation, impressed by how he controls his chakra in such a way to give small bursts of it to make his shadow clones, as he could feel the chakra swell into new forms and cause them to create body doubles of Atarashi. Higuto clapped his hands together as he was asked how the Senju did as he gave a wide smile.

"Very good! Very very good! That is an extremely advanced technique that usually takes even Jounin a full day to master. You'd probably learn how to create them left and right perfectly in just an hour. You should be very proud of yourself."

He gave the clones another little once over as he couldn't see any flaws in their designs, even with the slow formation that went into them, as he thought he'd give them a test.

"Alright, Atarashi! How about you give that paralysis technique a try on one of your clones to see if they're truly solid? If they are then the technique will freeze them. Keep in mind the jutsu only works for one but you have your pick over which one you'd like to freeze."

All of the Atarashi seem excited about the idea of learning another jutsu. They all start discussing how they should proceed with this. They mumble to themselves is a hushed tone so that you can't hear them. It's a little weird watching Atarashi argue with himself and yet it's not that strange for some reason. He just sort of gives off a self loathing aura. After a little bit of deliberation they agree on a proposal. The Atarashi on the right, Atarashi 2, starts doing a motion with his right arm constantly moving his right arm up and down. Atarashi on the left, Atarashi 3, forms the tiger seal and starts building up chakra in order to attempt to try to perform the temporary paralysis jutsu. Since it wasn't a very complicated jutsu Atarashi 3 didn't have much trouble building up the chakra for the jutsu, or at least he shouldn't have had trouble with it, but that doesn't seem to be the case. However since the clone jutsu divided up the chakra of the original Atarashi the Atarashi clone is left with much less chakra than he is used and is having trouble dealing with the sudden loss of a lot of his chakra. Never the less Atarashi 3 continues to build up chakra for the jutsu, despite his hindrances put in place by a lack of chakra. Atarashi 3 finishes building up the chakra for the temporary paralysis jutsu and starts working on actually performing the jutsu. He starts pushing the chakra through his tiger seal and then projecting it into the air. However he keeps the chakra very fine so that it can't be seen by the naked eye. He then takes the very fine chakra he's pumped into the air and starts moving it towards Atarashi 2 who's still moving is arm up and down over and over and over again. Atarashi 3 starts wrapping the very fine chakra around Atarashi so lightly that Atarashi 2 can't feel the very fine chakra as it starts to wrap around his entire body. Once the chakra has fully wrapped itself around Atarashi 2, Atarashi 3 applies more chakra to the temporary paralysis jutsu to get the very find chakra to solidify and trap Atarashi 2 in a bind of very fine, practically invisible chakra. Atarashi 2 suddenly stops moving and doesn't continue to move. Atarashi and Atarashi 3 sigh in relief that the jutsu is a success. Soon Atarashi 3 releases the temporary paralysis jutsu and Atarashi 2 starts moving again. Atarashi 2 seems pretty freaked out, like he's just been through a very traumatic experience, and he keeps shaking.

"That was not pleasant. Real me, you're going to hate feeling that later."

Atarashi shudders and then calms down. He then undoes the shadow clone jutsu but he only unsummons Atarashi 3. Atarashi 3 disappears in a poof and then Atarashi clasps his hands against his head.

"Ow, ow, ow. Sweet mother of mercy that's unpleasant. It feels like my brain just exploded."

Higuto watched the events of what was happening unfold before him as he could tell that it was a jutsu that was beginning to take it's toll on the young Senju as he kept quiet through the ordeal to see how he handled the stress. After everything was done it was shown that he had indeed used one of the more useful ways of shadow clones by having them learn the jutsu for him and then disappear in order to give him the experience. He was impressed as he patted Atarashi on the back as Atarashi seemed to be suffering from a headache.

"I must say you are a really quick learner and a very talented ninja. You're learning things on a rapid level. It's no wonder your head is starting to hurt. I could barely move once I learned the next technique I'm about to teach you."

Higuto then pulled his right hand out of his pocket as he held the palm of it up and began to focus his chakra along the palm. A light breeze began to form around his palm as chakra started to form into a sphere. The breeze was strong enough to cause Higuto's bangs to move.

"This is what is known as a Rasengan. One of the most advanced techniques any ninja would be proud to know. It is a jutsu that can be known as a trump card if you ever find yourself in a predicament where your opponent is up close and is trying to overwhelm you. Very powerful and very dangerous if within the hands of the inexperienced."

He allowed his chakra to relax as the Rasengan slowly shrank down and disappeared as he gave a wide smile.

"Would you like to learn this jutsu next or would you rather give yourself a little bit of a break first?"

Atarashi is kind of blown away by this jutsu. It looks kind of like a hurricane of chakra is being held in your hand. He isn't quite sure where to start with this one. He starts building up his chakra in preparation for trying to perform the rasengan jutsu. Unlike the clone jutsu it isn't fairly slow at first. He to pulls on parts of his chakra he hasn't really had tome to explore because he hasn't really been in this position before. However s jutsu as powerful as the rasengan jutsu is still a pretty big project and the amount of chakra it would require is probably nothing to laugh at. The sheer scope of the rasengan jutsu is, on its own, putting strain on his ability to even understand the jutsu. The idea of creating a hurricane of chakra in his hand and the containing it without letting it blow up in his face is such an extreme idea that it's hampering his ability to build up the chakra required. That means it's going to take even longer to figure out how to form the jutsu and what is applications could be. He forms the generic chakra build up seal and pulls on his chakra reserves to get enough chakra to start trying to attempt to perform the rasengan jutsu. The chakra keeps building and Atarashi's head starts to sweat and throb from the strain he mind is going through trying to comprehend this crazy jutsu. In order to maintain focus on building up his chakra for the rasengan jutsu Atarashi starts focusing on the flow of the chakra in the rasengan that Higuto showed him when he first introduced the jutsu and showed it to Atarashi. He watches the effects of the chakra spinning fiercely around the center of the rasengan jutsu and how the chakra interacts with the air around it. Atarashi reasons that not only in the chakra in the rasengan spinning very fast, but that the chakra in the rasengan jutsu is also spinning with a lot of force behind it. He remembers the exact specifics of the dimensions of the rasengan jutsu, such as the diameter, the spin rate of the chakra spinning around in the rasengan jutsu, and the time it took to form. He also remembers, or at least tries to remember, how many rings of chakra were spinning in the rasengan that Higuto showed him, if they were even strings at all. He remembers how the rasengan jutsu formed in Higuto's hand so he knows where to put the rasengan jutsu when he begins to attempt to perform the rasengan jutsu. He focuses on how the rasengan jutsu's rotation seemed to follow the way that Higuto's hair just so happened to spin. While this detail confused Atarashi he assumed it would come into play when he actually tries to attempt to perform the rasengan jutsu. He remembers how any dust an particulates that touched the hurricane of chakra that was the ball of chakra created by the rasengan jutsu seemed to almost instantly be destroyed by the force of the rotation. The focus on the various aspects of the rasengan jutsu allows Atarashi to continue to work on figuring out how to mold his chakra in order to use in the rasengan jutsu with minimal discomfort. The chakra continues to build at a steady rate, even if Atarashi doesn't quite know what to do with it just yet. But when he figure out how to perform the rasengan jutsu he's sure that he'll know what to do then. If anyone were to look at Atarashi right now they'd see that he's entered the strange empty concentration state again. Whatever is going on inside of his head it's having strange effects on his mental state seems to be very strange. However, it definitely seems to be helping him learn these jutsu so whatever's going on has some kind of an effect on him. His face is completely blank again as he continues to build up chakra to try to attempt to perform the rasengan jutsu. It looks a lot like he's under the effects of some kind of memetic effect, or if not then something has some kind of hold on his mind. He looks like he's starting to get close to having enough chakra to start trying to attempt the rasengan jutsu. It doesn't look normal though. This strange mental state is starting to really unnatural. However there's no way of knowing what would happen if he were to be disturbed. It may be best to just let him continue, however he doesn't look well.

He then starts focusing some of his built up chakra into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu. He then takes the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to form it into a very fine ring of chakra. He takes the very fine ring of chakra that he made from the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to spin it in a clockwise direction. So far the very fine chakra ring seems to be spinning just fine. However Atarashi seems to be showing signs of mild discomfort. It's not anything note worthy, at least it's not anything note worthy just yet, but there's still a definite grimace on Atarashi's once completely blank face. He then takes the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to form it into another very fine ring of chakra. He takes the second very fine ring of chakra that he made from the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to spin this one in a clockwise direction as well. This time the signs of discomfort are more pronounced. There was definite confusion on Atarashi's face, and maybe just a little bit of pain. He then takes the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to form it into another very fine ring of chakra. He takes the third very fine ring of chakra that he made from the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to spin this one in a clockwise direction as well. This time the signs of discomfort are much more pronounced than before. There was complete bewilderment on Atarashi's face, and maybe just a bit pain then before. He then takes the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to form it into another very fine ring of chakra. He takes the forth very fine ring of chakra that he made from the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to spin this one in a clockwise direction as well. This time the discomfort is starting to seem to turn into actual pain. Atarashi seems to be struggling with all of the spinning pieces of the rasengan jutsu seem to be baffling him. Atarashi's face also seems to be in a lot of pain. He then takes the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to form it into another very fine ring of chakra. He takes the fifth very fine ring of chakra that he made from the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to spin this one in a clockwise direction as well. The signs of suffering just keep getting worse and worse. Atarashi just doesn't seem to know what to do about the fact that his attempt at a rasengan jutsu seems to be failing miserably. His face contorts into faces that look like there's some serious pain happening in that head of his. He then takes the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to form it into another very fine ring of chakra. He takes the sixth very fine ring of chakra that he made from the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to spin this one in a clockwise direction as well. Atarashi is on the brink of breaking. The thing in Atarashi's right hand hardly look anything like a rasengan jutsu. The six rings of very fine chakra were barely spinning and they look weak and they're seriously wobbling. After trying to make another ring of very fine chakra Atarashi stop trying and dispels the pathetic excuse from a rasengan jutsu that was in his right hand. After taking a moment to recover Atarashi thinks of something. He feels the hair on the top of his head. He realizes that he's been spinning the rings the wrong direction. He holds out his right hand again. He then takes the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to form it into a very fine ring of chakra. He takes the very fine ring of chakra that he made from the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to spin it in a counterclockwise direction. So far the very fine chakra ring seems to be spinning just fine. Atarashi sighs in relief that it seems to be working better this time. He then takes the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to form it into another very fine ring of chakra. He takes the second very fine ring of chakra that he made from the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to spin this one in a counterclockwise direction as well. He then takes the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to form it into another very fine ring of chakra. He takes the third very fine ring of chakra that he made from the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to spin this one in a counterclockwise direction as well. He then takes the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to form it into another very fine ring of chakra. He takes the forth very fine ring of chakra that he made from the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to spin this one in a counterclockwise direction as well. He then takes the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to form it into another very fine ring of chakra. He takes the fifth very fine ring of chakra that he made from the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to spin this one in a counterclockwise direction as well. He then takes the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to form it into another very fine ring of chakra. He takes the sixth very fine ring of chakra that he made from the chakra he put into his hand so that he can begin to attempt the rasengan jutsu and starts to spin this one in a counterclockwise direction as well. Atarashi them makes ring after ring after ring of very fine chakra until the ball in his right hand looks like the beginnings of a decent rasengan.

Atarashi then starts focusing some of his built up chakra into the rasengan jutsu to try to get it to spin as fast as it was spinning in Higuto's hand. As Atarashi starts focusing some of his built up chakra into the rasengan jutsu to try to get it to spin as fast as it was spinning in Higuto's hand he notices that instead of spinning faster the rasengan jutsu is just growing bigger. Atarashi ceases focusing some of his built up chakra into the rasengan jutsu to try to get it to spin as fast as it was spinning in Higuto's hand for a moment to try to figure out how to get the rasengan jutsu to increase in speed instead of growing. Atarashi ponders that maybe he should try rotating the rasengan jutsu in his hand physically and with chakra instead of just using some of his built up chakra. Atarashi dismisses that idea as he finds it to be rather ridiculous. Atarashi continues to try to think of ideas for how he can try to get the rasengan jutsu to increase in speed instead of size when he starts focusing some of his built up chakra into the rasengan jutsu to try to get it to spin as fast as it was spinning in Higuto's hand. He then thinks that maybe his clone can help him by applying chakra to the jutsu. But then he remembers that the clone doesn't have much of his chakra so it might not be a good idea to try to expend his clone's chakra reserves just yet. If he is going to use his clone's chakra he's going to use it in a later jutsu. Also the idea of remembering dying from loss of chakra wasn't exactly the most appealing idea. Atarashi dismisses the idea of having his clone help him increase the speed of his rasengan instead of the size. Atarashi decides to try it again but this time when he starts focusing some of his built up chakra into the rasengan jutsu to try to get it to spin as fast as it was spinning in Higuto's hand he'll try to focus more on the rasengan ball itself instead of the rasengan jutsu itself. Atarashi then starts focusing some of his built up chakra into the rasengan jutsu to try to get it to spin as fast as it was spinning in Higuto's hand. This time as Atarashi starts focusing some of his built up chakra into the rasengan jutsu to try to get it to spin as fast as it was spinning in Higuto's hand he starts focusing the chakra into the Ball of the rasengan jutsu. Low and behold, The speed that the very fine rings of chakra are spinning at starts to build up speed. Eventually the very fine rings of chakra are spinning as fast as it was spinning in Higuto's hand when he fist showed the rasengan jutsu to Atarashi. Atarashi's rasengan jutsu is starting to look like the real thing.

However Atarashi notices that his rasengan jutsu is leaking a lot of chakra into the environment. Atarashi realizes that not only is this not very chakra efficient, but Atarashi also realizes that if he were to try to use the rasengan jutsu in this state it wouldn't be able to do very much damage what ever he was trying to his with it. At the very most it may just create a spiral pattern is whatever he was trying to hit with the rasengan jutsu. Atarashi resolves to finish learning the rasengan jutsu so that he can properly use the rasengan jutsu in battle. First however, Atarashi has to try to think of a way to accomplish such a feat. This jutsu is fairly powerful and trying to contain that much energy moving like the rasengan jutsu does would be very difficult indeed. Atarashi starts running through ideas in his head so as to try to think of a way to contain the chakra leaking out of the rasengan jutsu. The first idea Atarashi has is to maybe try to create a thin sphere of chakra around the rasengan jutsu and to try to use that to keep the chakra pouring out of the rasengan jutsu from pouring out of the rasengan jutsu. But the Atarashi realizes that it wouldn't work. Not only would it stop the main purpose of the rasengan jutsu, that being to inflict a lot of damage due to its high spin rate, but it would also be very hard to maintain, if it could be maintained around the rasengan jutsu at all. The shear volume of chakra pouring out of the rasengan jutsu would probably break the sphere on its own. And even if it would be formed, the amount of pressure put on it by the rasengan jutsu would mean that it would have to be maintained and that would be a serious detriment to his chakra. Then, Atarashi notices something. some of the very fine chakra rings inside of the rasengan jutsu were weakening. When Atarashi tried to put some of his built up chakra into the rasengan jutsu to try to get it to fix the weakened very fine ring of chakra all that happened was that the volume of chakra being lost by the rasengan increased. Atarashi then has another idea. What if he took control of the chakra that was being pushed out of the rasengan jutsu and used it to repair the very fine chakra rings? That way, not only would the jutsu work the way it's supposed to, but also it would make the jutsu stable so that Atarashi wouldn't have to keep putting chakra into it to keep it going. As chakra continues to pour out of the rasengan jutsu Atarashi reaches out with his own chakra and takes control of the chakra pouring out of the rasengan jutsu. Atarashi then takes the chakra that used to be escaping from the rasengan jutsu and forces it back into the rasengan jutsu. He then starts feeding the chakra that used to be escaping from the rasengan jutsu into the very fine chakra rings that used to be weakened by the lake of chakra because that chakra was being lost from the rasengan jutsu into the environment. Atarashi is now holding a stable rasengan jutsu in his right hand.

Higuto watched Atarashi closely as he put forth the effort to form his Rasengan, closely coaching him every step of the way, providing tips and tricks to when it came to forming the spherical ball of chakra. Nodding at how quickly the Senju learned the finer points of the jutsu he was incredibly impressed by the amount of chakra the boy displayed as he could feel it swelling from within the boy thanks to his chakra senses. He smiled upon seeing everything the young boy was putting his body through as he could see the ball forming in the boy's hands until he was holding the ball of chakra the way he was supposed to and he could feel the power coming from it. This caused a smile to form on Higuto's face as he couldn't see, as far as his eyes could tell, much of anything wrong with it.

"Really really really good job, Atarashi. I'm simply blown away by what you've been able to accomplish in what can truly be considered record time. It's amazing to see what you can do and I'm certain any of the grown ups, our senseis, saw you now they'd be filled with pride and so should you."

Atarashi seem confused for a moment but hen seems happy.

"Do you really think so? I'm can't thank you enough for helping me. I never would have been able to do this on my own."

Higuto chuckled at that as he shook his head.

"Yes you would've. Your potential is remarkable and I only helped you realize the tip of the iceberg. It'll be up to you to find more strength without me once I go do my thing. But for now how about we learn that jutsu I showed you that made it rain?"

"That sounds like an excellent plan."

Higuto chuckled as he brought his hands together.

"Alright. So this is going to require quite a bit of chakra to do. You're going to be affecting a wide area, after all, and essentially the rain will be infused with your chakra as well. It'll essentially take your chakra out of commission which is why I can't do it a second time. I have to wait until tomorrow. But you should be able to do it with your chakra"

Higuto would then show Atarashi the seals he had moved too fast to show previously as he formed the bird, rat, ox, monkey, rat, then finally snake. He wouldn't try to waste his chakra in trying to make it rain a second time as he had tried multiple times before to do so with no success and him nearly dying from expending so much chakra.

"Just form these signs and focus your chakra into the sky. With concentration you should be able to make it rain. And then once you do so see if you can keep it raining for a bit. There's something else I wish to show you. A way to utilize the rain to hide you from sight and chakra sensory."
