Task: A little boy climbed a large tree in the forest , 40 meters high, but one of the branches he used to get up the tree broke and now can’t get down. Your mission is to use your skills to get him down the tree to safely. Be warned though, ninja were assigned to the mission because of a hornets nest in the tree, so keep that in mind.
Another day with yet another mission as Vergil had been selected to help out yet another D rank mission which was something he wasn't complaining about at all as it gave him a bit of a chance to show off his ninja abilities. This particular mission was a rescue one as it involved, from what he'd been told, a child had got themselves trapped at a high point within a tree residing just outside of the village's gates. This gave Vergil a bit of pause as he wasn't entirely certain what the village's gate guards were doing to allow such a thing to happen but he wasn't going to question their work ethic all that much as it provided him the chance to tally himself another mission done. He thus made his way to the village's gates at a walk, passing by children playing in the streets and parents walking them to the playground, as he passed them in order to hear a cry from a tree to his right which was just a few meters from the walls that surrounded the village. He had been warned that their was a hornet's nest in the tree along with the boy as he walked over and looked around to try and find said nest.
Sure enough, a good bit higher than where the boy was positioned in the tree, there was the sound of buzzing as a nest being protected by a few calm (for now) hornets could be seen through a few leaves and branches. He would have to be quick and quiet in getting the child out from the tree as he didn't want to get him or himself stung. Letting out a sigh he thus put his hands together in order to start gathering chakra to the soles of his feet as he started to slowly walk up the tree while making certain he was stepping lightly so as to not shake the tree a bit too much and cause the hornets to get angry. He would stop about midway to the boys position as he crouched along the trunk of the tree due to seeing the hornets seemingly growing a bit more active from the light vibrations coming off the tree trunk. He would wait a little bit as the boy watched him in his crouched state as Vergil put a finger up to his lips to signal the boy to remain as quiet as possible. The boy nodded as he looked up at the nest and they both watched it slowly quiet back down a bit before Vergil got up and slowly began his walk back up the trunk to the child.
Every now and then he would stop his ascent up the trunk to allow the hornets to calm down from the very light vibrations coming from his footsteps until he finally got to the branch holding the boy and crouching beside the branch while looking up to the nest to see the latest activity coming from it. The hornets were now getting very angry from what they were feeling as Vergil's eyes turned quickly from blue to crimson as he could see they were getting ready to attack. Taking the boy into his arms thusly, as quickly as he could, he hopped downwards off the trunk and made his way away from the tree while going away from the village to make certain the hornets didn't direct their attention to anyone within the village. He ran to the nearby training field as he could hear the sound of buzzing behind him which made him run faster while still carrying the child and protecting him in his arms.
After a while they would both make it to the training field, Vergil setting the child on his feet and telling him to hide behind a bush, before getting out a few kunai and facing off against the oncoming onslaught of insects. His sharingan allowed Vergil to see each individual hornet making their way to him as he got his knives ready and took a defensive stance. There wasn't but about fifty of them which was quite a lot in terms of how much damage they could cause but Vergil had no fear in being able to take them all out with his knives. They all charged at him using swarm tactics as he quickly began to slash around him in a circle while keeping an eye on each hornet to see where they were at all times. A few would break off from the swarm to avoid the slashes but most would fall victim to the kunai while the broken off hornets would attack from above. It was too bad Vergil didn't know fire style or else this might've been a hell of a lot easier. Perhaps that would be something he strove to attain when next he went out to do some training. He jumped back to avoid the hornets coming at him from above while slashing at them when they changed direction towards him before catching himself by sinking his feet into the dirt and jumping towards the remaining hornets to cut them.
The ground was soon covered in the body parts of many hornets as he put the kunai back into his pockets and made his way to the kid just as he was running out of the bushes towards Vergil. The kid cheered Vergil on from his skillful insect take down as Vergil smirked and offered the kid a walk back to the village gates and to his family. The boy agreed as the two walked back to the gates, Vergil remaining cautious to make certain no stray hornets would attack them from the tree or anywhere nearby, as the two passed the gates threshold and the boy ran over to his parents as Vergil walked away after they had offered him their thanks. He told them that he was just doing his job and it was no problem before making his way back to the mansion to report on his success.
