Mission: The Big Meltdown
It was the middle of the night when Masashi was woken up by his butler. That right off the bat told Masashi that whatever was happening was urgent. His butler would normally allow things to keep until the morning, but here he was, being gently shaken awake. With a sigh, Masashi would sit up and look at his employee with a slightly annoyed expression. “I know you’re just the messenger, what’s the situation?” His butler hands him a sealed letter and bows before leaving. With another sigh, Masashi opened the letter and read the contents. It was a mission request; there was a problem with the reactor at the Archives. His orders were to make his way over there and find out what the problem was. There wasn’t much information in the request, but that was likely in case the request fell into hostile hands. Masashi stood up and got dressed, his manipulated fabric spreading over him to appear like his normal gear, and left his home.
Just about everyone had gone to sleep at this point, with the exception of some of the rowdier locals and the night watch. Masashi suspected that there would be a couple other shinobi up right now; getting a similar note to him and also making their way over to the Archives. At some point during his walk the Uzumaki Jounin would bend over, pick up some dirt, and convert it into explosive clay before placing it in his large weapon pouch. It didn’t take him long to get to the Archives; he wasn’t running there, but he definitely wasn’t casually walking over, this was a high-rated mission after all.
When Masashi arrived at the Archives there was a group of the town’s guards in front of the main entrance, which had been sealed. The Uzumaki Jounin would walk over to them and nod. “Masashi Uzumaki-Akari. I’m here to check out what’s going on. Please give me the run down on what’s going on here.” He would direct the question to the most senior guard there, showing them the mission request as proof that he was here on business. The man would look at him for a moment then nod. “The reactor, or whatever it is that keeps this place running, appears to be on the fritz, and it could be bad if it’s not shut down properly. Normally we’d simply ask the Master of the Archives to take care of it, but he’s nowhere to be found, so we needed extra help in getting this figured out. Something’s not right about it, but I can’t prove it.” Masashi frowned slightly, ‘foul play? Here? Who’d want to blow up a library of all places…’ Questions he would have to find the answer to at a later time. He wasn’t sure who else would be sent to assist him, so all he could do for now was wait for anyone else to show up and verify that they were indeed supposed to be on this mission. He wouldn't wait long though, this was time sensitive after all.

"Hey Mr. Uchiha, are you in there? It's kind of urgent and I need you to wake up." Taichi heard a voice coming from the other side of the door at his room in the inn. He stirred for a moment, and he glanced up to the door, seeing the shadows of an individual's feet as they stamped slightly just outside his door. He let out a slight groan as he lifted himself up off of the couch. Luckily he had passed right out after his training that day and didn't go into the bedroom, or else he would have never heard the man at the door.
He swung his feet over the side of the couch and he placed his feet onto the floor beside the couch and he slowly lifted himself to his feet. The knocking start up again and so did the talking through the door, "Please Mr. Uchiha, I was told that this message was to be delivered directly to you, from the police force of the village!" Taichi was unsure just why he would be getting a message from the police force, unless they had found out who he was and they wanted him to answer for his crimes.
Taichi stopped for a moment, but he realized that there was no point in stalling any longer than he already had. He walked over to the door and he placed his hand on the doorknob, telling the individual that he was coming. As he opened the door, the man who was working the front desk looked to be sweating from the anxiety that the message was obviously causing the poor man. He stretched out his hand, as if he was deserpately trying to get it out of his hands and to Taichi as soon as possible.
"Uhh... Thanks." Taichi said as he rubbed his eye with the hand he was holding the doorknob with. The man from the front desk nodded his head and he ran off back to his office in the lobby of the inn. The young Uchiha closed the door as he watched the individual leave, and he lifted the envelope upwards towards his face so he could read what the envelope said. He noted that the only thing written on the envelope was his own name. This was quite interesting as he wasn't a part of the village, but he was still being written to directly. Maybe they had remembered him when he had helped the Jounin help with the trinkets being taken from the temples and just kept him in mind for any random mission that may have poked up during his stay.
He opened the envelope and he began to read the contents of the letter that was inside. As he read the letter, he began to understand that it was in fact the latter option of what the higher ups of the village wanted from him. Turns out there was an issue at the archives that needed immediate attention, hence why he was being told at such a late hour.
He was still absolutely exhausted from the day of training that he had, but if there was in fact foul play, as the letter did in fact imply, then he was going to have a chance to use the technique that he had learned in that day's training. He gathered up his weapon pouches, lashed them to his body and he headed out the door so he could meet the problem head on and get ready for a night just as eventful as his day, which was something he appreciated.
He ran through the village, being surprised as to just how quiet the village could be during the night time hours. As he leaped from rooftop to rooftop, he saw on his map exactly where the archives were, and he rushed himself over there. He was still surprised that he was chosen for this mission, so he wanted to make sure that he didn't ruin the mission on account of his tardiness. He was nearing the archives when he wanted to stop for a moment and assess the building. He wanted to be sure that there was nobody rushing to leave the place, as they could possibly be the culprit.
When he was clear that there was nobody leaving through any backdoors or windows, he leaped down to the main road of the village and he saw that there was another individual already walking in, he was already asking questions about the situation, so he figured that he was also contacted to cooperate in this mission. He listened for a moment, allowing the situation to be explained before introducing himself. When the details were cleared up, he spoke, "Hello. I'm Taichi and I am also here to help the situation. I have already checked the perimeter and there was nobody escaping through any backdoors or windows, so should there be a culprit, they are either long gone or still in the building."
When Taichi was done explaining himself, he quickly looked over to his newly found comrade and he stretched out his hand as to greet the individual. "Hello, as I said my name is Taichi. You are?" He would wait patiently for the response from the comrade, and he would help formulate a plan with him once the formalities were out of the way and they had the ability to do so.

He had spent hours at the training grounds, working on his sword skill and his archery when he realized that the sun was beginning to fall under the horizon. He wasn't quite ready to go straight home, but he figured that if he was going to get an early start on his training for the next day, he was better off getting to bed as early in the night as he could. He spent just a few more minutes cleaning off his blade and his arrows, clearing them of any debris that may have stayed on them from plunging into the training dummies as many times as they did.
He put all of his weapons back into his quiver and sheath before he faced the exit of the training grounds. He walked through the training grounds and he had noticed that there was a few other shinobi still training, to which he tipped his proverbial hat too, training that late into the day would produce some great results. But he knew that passed a certain amount of daylight, he didn't like to train as he was just too tired, especially if he hadn't gotten enough sleep the night before.
He exited the training grounds and he got onto the main road of the village, and he turned to the direction that would get him to his home the fastest. He was thinking about what he was going to do for dinner, when he ultimately decided that he was going to fast for the night, and he was going to dedicate his time to prayer and meditation instead. He walked through the village, and as he was passing by the markets, he knew that he was near his home. He got to the steps that led to his front door, and he quickly walked up the steps, reflecting on the day's training.
He was pleased with the improvements that he was seeing within himself, but he was not so pleased with his lack of ability to truly show his strength in battle. He walked through his front door, and he breathed in the familiar smell that was within his home. He placed his katana in its home, hanging on the hall tree that resided directly behind his front door. He released the string that was on his bow, and he leaned it up against the wall also behind the front door of his apartment.
He took off his armor, piece by piece, setting them down in order of how he would be putting them back on, in a neat stack directly next to his front door. Once he was done getting out of his armor, he walked over to the kitchen sink and he turned on the faucet and filled a cup with water. He was going to go without dinner tonight, but water was something he was still going to partake in. When he was done filling his cup with water, he turned away from the kitchen and he walked to his bathroom.
He placed the drink down on his nightstand, directly next to where he was going to meditate and pray for the night. He went into his bathroom and he took a shower, cleaning off all of the sweat and grime that had attached themselves to his body during his training. When he was done showering, he got himself dressed and went off into his bedroom. He sat on the edge of his bed, and he continued to reflect about the day's happenings. He reflected on his training, on his progress, and what he had left to progress in.
He got off of his bed and he got down onto his knees, where he would begin to clear his mind of all things that were not related to that of Yuumei and the power he granted. He breathed deeply as he began to pray to Yuumei, giving him his undivided attention as he awaited Yuumei's presence in his mind. After a few hours of prayer and meditation, he climbed up into his bed and he laid down, staring up at the ceiling for a few moments before he closed his eyes and slowly, he fell asleep.
As he slept, he couldn't help but notice a knocking in his dreams. He couldn't tell if the knocking was a sign from Yuumei, a random noise in his dreams, or maybe it was coming from the real world itself. He stirred for a few moments until the knocking became louder and more aggressive. His eyes shot open and he slowly moved his body, trying to gain his function enough to get out of his bed. He yelled out to the aggressive pounding on his front door, yelling out that he was indeed on his way to the front door and that they didn't need to pound on the door any longer.
He got to his door, and he placed one hand on his katana, ensuring that if this was someone trying to take advantage of him, then he would be losing a limb fairly quickly. He slowly opened the door and it was a courier, holding out a letter to the young Shinkou. He was quite interested in the fact that he was receiving a letter at such a late hour, but then the courier explained the situation as it was "critical information" and "for his eyes only". The young Shinkou accepted the letter and thanked the courier for his time.
He turned away from his front door and he opened the letter so he could read what it was that was so important that he needed to see it that night. As he opened the letter, things began to get a little more clear, reading that there was an emergent situation at the Kozai Yuki archives and his attention was needed right away. He nodded in acceptance to what was written on the letter and he quickly placed all of his armor on, starting with his leg pieces and ending with his helmet.
When he had his armor on, he placed his sword and quiver on his waist and threw his bow over his shoulder after reattaching the string to each end. He rushed out the front door and he began leaping from rooftop to rooftop to get to the archives in the shortest distance possible, allowing him to get there in no time. When he landed on the ground directly in front of the archives, he saw that there was already two individuals standing there, speaking to someone who seemed to have the information about the events that happened at the archives.
He listened to details, and he introduced himself to the others that were standing there, and he was excited to make a plan as to how to handle the situation. He quickly introduced himself saying, "Hi. My name is Kurayami Shinkou." He bowed briefly, yet respectfully. "I am pleased to make your acquaintance. Shall we briefly speak on how we are going to handle this situation?" When he was done speaking and introducing himself, he would assume the formalities would be over and they could quickly go over a plan of action for the mission at hand.

"Whew, that was one hell of a workout i got to do that again sometime", the young senju had thought to himself as he took a sip of his water. He had been working out most of the morning doing varies workouts to improve his speed and stamina , something that he valued over the other skills that he could be working on and since he already knew his chakra reserves were pretty high Zeref thought that it was time to try working on a new jutsu to learn but before he could finish his workout he could here someone start to approach him. "Im in the middle of some good training here , so i hope whatever your bringing me it better be worth my time or ima be highly pissed off", Zeref said in an annoyed tone. He hated when he was interrupted from training especially when he feels the session is going as good as its been that day, not to mention he was being interrupted in his favorite part of training. "My apologies sir , but im not sure what mission they have assigned you too , im only here to deliver the letter to you so dont blame me for having to stop your training", the messenger said before he handed Zeref the letter and then leaving quickly just as he arrived.
"Sigh, well i guess he did have a point there", Zeref said as he opened the letter to see what kind of mission he would going on today and to his surprise it was a S rank mission. His eyes grew wide when he realized that he would be going on such a high ranked mission especially since he was only a genin but he knew that he wouldnt be sent on a mission as important as this without having other ninja to accompany him on it. He quickly grab his stuff and made his way home to grab a few supplies before he headed out, not wanting to waste more time than needed to get this mission started because he wasent sure who had already headed out on the mission and would hate to be the last one to arrive or even worse arrive once its all over. It didnt take him long to grab his ninja supplies and a quickly change his clothes since his last outfit was covered in sweat and that was something he rather not be force t wear all day.
As he moved through the ladscape making his way to the mission area he could only wander what made the higher ups would send him such a high mission, was this some kind of test to see where his progress was or was they just trying to kill him off. "HAHAHAH, aww man that was a good , i doubt they would be trying to kill off a nobody like himself, but hey i guess you would never know untill the moment i suppose", Zeref said out loud to himself. It wasent long after that outburst that he arrived at the location of the mission that was on his mission paper. Once he arrived his worst fears were came to the forefront, he was the last one there. Luckily enough though he was able to hear the details the senior worker had said and everyone introducing themselfs.
"Hey dont forget about me", Zeref said as he walked up to the group, "Names Zeref Senju and ive heard pretty much everything", he said as he was now standing and 4 feet from the group of his fellow shinobi. He was excited to get this mission started since it was his first S ranked mission.

It wasn’t long for the rest of the team to show up. The first one to arrive introduced himself as Taichi, he was slightly shorter than Masashi but had a slightly bulkier build. White-grey hair, blue eyes, and fairly pale skin. His face has a trio of red lines, one on each cheek and one on his chin, but had no other blemishes or unusual features that he could see. He wore black fitted black clothing with a blue, fur-trimmed jacket over top. He wore no gloves and wore sandals on his feet. The man had extended his hand towards him which Masashi accepted the offered hand with one of his own, providing a firm hand shake. “Nice to meet you Taichi,” the Uzumaki Jounin would say to his counterpart. “I am Masashi Uzumaki-Akari."
The second person arrived almost immediately after Taichi did, they were just under six feet tall, with a similar build to Taichi. Unfortunately he was unable to see any of the person’s physical characteristics because of the body armour that they wore; head to toe leather armour with metal plates covering some of the more vital parts of the body. They had a bow slung across their back, a katana on one hip, and a quiver of arrows on the other. As soon as they was within speaking distance, they would introduce themselves as Kurayami Shinkou. ‘Huh, that’s a clan I’ve heard recently,’ Masashi thought to himself, thinking back on the training session he had with Morio and Youta. Youta was the Shinkou in that interaction. This was not the time for small talk though. The Uzumaki Jounin would nod at the boy, because the voice that came through the face mask was that of a younger male, and say “it’s nice to meet you Kurayami Shinkou. I am Masashi Uzumaki-Akari, and this is Taichi.” He looked around briefly. “I believe we’re waiting on one more person, once that happens I’ll get to the reason we’re here.” As he said this, he would kneel, scoop up some dirt nearby, and convert the dirt into explosive clay, which he would place into his large weapon pouch.
Almost as if those were the magic words, the last member of the team, Zeref Senju as he introduced himself, arrived. The boy was the shortest of the group, though still a similar build to the others. He had black hair cut short, eyes whose colour he couldn’t quite make out, and tanned skin. Zeref appeared to be wearing some kind of black robe with gold trim, and a length of white fabric draped over one shoulder like a cape. “Nice to meet you, Zeref,” Masashi would say to the last member of the team. With that being said, Masashi would quickly bite both of his thumbs, drawing blood, then using each hand to make separate, but mirrored hand signs. He would then place them both on the ground, creating a pair of summoning arrays. With twin clouds of smoke, a pair of Serpents appeared. The first one was the meters long, primarily lilac in colour, with red eyes and a gold stripe running the length of her body. The second was a slightly shorter serpent, seven meters long, mostly yellow but with blue splotches that covered her body. Masashi bowed deeply to the lilac Serpent, it was one of the Five Serpent Lords and one must always show deference. “Thank you for coming Lady Rin, Mana,” The Uzumaki Jounin would say to the lilac and yellow serpents respectively. “It is of no moment, Masashi,” came Lady Rin’s reply. “Glad we could help,” was Mana’s response. “I’ll just get right into it then, for those that are not aware of why we’re here,” Masashi would say, turning to address the rest of the team. “This is Lady Rin, one of the Five Serpent Lords,” he would tell the other shinobi, indicating the lilac Serpent, “and this is Mana,” gesturing to the yellow and blue Serpent. “We are here because there is an issue with the power source that runs the National Archives. There is the chance that foul play could be at work here, but that may not be the case.” The Uzumaki would look at all of them in turn. “We are to reach the reactor, shut it down, and determine what caused the reactor to reach this state. This is somewhat time-sensitive since the reactor does not have a fail-safe in place to prevent the reactor from reaching meltdown state, and I’m not entirely sure what will happen if it does.” He paused for a brief moment before moving on. “I have requested the aid of my companions here to help us find out way to the reactor, from what I’ve been told, the actual layout underneath the Archives is fairly hard to follow, so the more eyes we have to track down the right path, the better.” Lady Rin and Mana both nodded to show they understood the plan. “There’s just one last thing to keep in mind,” the Uzumaki Jounin said to the group, “if this is the work of sabotage, the culprit may still be inside. If there is someone there that isn’t supposed to be, you are to capture them alive, they will need to be interrogated. Any questions you have can be asked as we reach the tunnels. Let’s go.” With that, Masashi would lead the group inside to the mouth of the tunnels to where the mission itself would begin.

Taichi would simply nod to the other two individuals that joined their group, one being from the Shinkou clan, a clan that he had not heard of before. He was hopeful to learn more about him as the mission would be carried out, mostly so he would be able to expand his knowledge on all of the clans that inhabited the world that they lived in. The last individual that joined their posse had a surname that Taichi was all to familiar with, the Senju clan. He did nothing more than nod to the second individual as in his mind they were wasting time as is, if this reactor was truly on the verge of melting down they desperately needed to get going.
The assumed leader of the posse was a Jounin from the village of Hoshigakure, he knew this just based on his demeanor and the fact that he had in fact assumed leadership of the mission. Taichi would watch as the leader would summon forth two serpents directly in the middle of their gathering and he would begin to speak with them both, before explaining their purpose in the mission party. "Tunnels, eh? I think I may be able to aid in the gathering of eyes for the party."
He would form a few hand seals and he would have two identical copies of himself split from his own body. They would first look nothing like Taichi, just huge chunks of wood as they split from his own body, but as the wood would touch the ground they would take shape and gather color in their skin. His two identical twins would activate their Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, as he didn't want to have his Rinnegan be too much of common knowledge within the village, at least not yet.
With his clones and himself ready, the party would all begin to rush through the archives and enter into the mouths of the tunnels that lie in wait for their intrusion. The snakes would lead the charge, and they would be closely followed by the Jounin Masashi. Directly behind them would be Taichi and his two clones, they would all be ready to split the moment the tunnels did the same.
As they ran through the main tunnel, it quickly turned into three separate paths that they were going to need to split up if they were going to make it to their destination in time for the meltdown. He and his clones each separated and they would each take one of the tunnels on their own, constantly sending messages to the other Taichi's telepathically should the need arise. The real Taichi would have the two younger individuals follow him, at least he would urge them to, he wanted to make sure that he was able to keep them safe, as that was his first priority.
He didn't know just why he felt that way, as usually he didn't care too much about others, at least not enough to where he would become their protector. He figured that this must just be another side affect that the village life was having on him. Should the younger two follow the real Taichi, the other two clones would split up into the side tunnels as Taichi would take the tunnel in the middle. Should the younger ones not follow Taichi, then he found solace in the fact that he had a clone with the younger ones no matter what.

The young Shinkou was pleased to meet a member of the village ranks that was such a high rank, at least in comparison to his own rank of Genin. He was honored to be able to go on a mission with a Jounin as it made him feel just a glimpse of what his work was going to get him should he continue to work as hard as he had been working. Another individual joined the party just before their departure, a member of the Senju clan. This clan was nothing secret as it had access to one of the strongest and most sought after nature changes for chakra that was around, the sacred Wood release.
Just as he was thinking about the wood release, the other individual, the one that went by the name of Taichi formed a few hand seals and he saw huge chunks of wood split from his own body. The young Shinkou's eyes would widen slightly as he did not expect to see two individuals with the sacred wood release in the same mission, especially not in a mission with a low ranking Genin such as himself. He then saw the clones and the original activate a dojutsu, suddenly their eyes went red with a strange pattern within their iris'. "An Uchiha? With Wood release?" The Shinkou thought to himself.
He was going to have to ask this individual just how he was able to obtain the Wood release if he wasn't a member of the Senju clan, like the last member of their party. But for the time being, he was going to have to keep his astonishment to a minimum as their was work to do. The Jounin had summoned two snakes before them all and they began to have a conversation about the mission at hand, or at least that is what he had assumed. When the Jounin was done speaking to the serpents, he rose to meet them all with a quick explanation of the details of their mission.
Kurayami was fortunately there early enough to hear the details originally, but he still made sure to show his elder the respect that he deserved by listening intently. When they were finally off and heading into the tunnels of the archives to go and find this reactor, the unaffiliated shinobi, Taichi, offered for both the younger shinobis, like Seref and himself, to follow him. He was unsure just why the ninja would want them to follow him in particular as he was not a part of the village and would have no reason to care about their wellbeing.
He decided to reject the offer to follow Taichi and instead he would head through the tunnel on the right, which he was then realizing that he was going to be following Taichi one way or another as his clones were taking up both of the tunnels other than the one that the original had taken. He wanted to focus on the mission, but he couldn't help but remember the fact that he saw an Uchiha use Wood release. He wanted to ask the clone his question, but he decided that it was best to stay focused on the mission, and hope he would be able to get his question answered by the end of the mission.
The tunnel that they had taken seemed not to be the correct tunnel to find the reactor as it reached into a dead end, but it was a room that had been ransacked by somebody. He looked around and he slowly placed his hand on the katana's handle. He wasn't sure just who it was that they were going to run into, but if they were malicious enough to ransack the stacks of scrolls and books in this room, then maybe they were the individual who would have tried to set the reactor off as a distraction.
He checked the room, having his katana slightly unsheathed, just in case he was going to need to quickly bring it out should a fight happen. He heard no sounds and saw no movement, but he wanted to be as sure as he could be. His heart beat quickly, as he was hopeful that he was going to finally go into real combat for the first time.

"Likewise", Zeref said in response to the greeting he received from the jounin. As he looked around at his current team members he was honestly surprised that there werent another person or two and with how big the archive was if there was a person or two inside it would be very possible to overlook them if they were hiding well enough , but he figure the higher ups knew what they were doing when they had assembled this team of four. Since Zeref was the last of the team to arrive he just like everyone else was ready to get this mission underway, so when Masashi started to speak almost immediately after Zeref arrived everyone could tell that he was going to be taking charge of this mission. Since this was going to be his first S rank mission he knew he better listen up and not have his usual non caring attitude, there could be alot of dangerous things ahead and without the right information someone could end up hurt or dead, and Zeref really would hate to have to explain why someone died or got hurt on this mission but then again that what comes with S rank missions.
Zeref looked onward as Masashi summoned two serpants , the first one was the meters long, primarily lilac in colour, with red eyes and a gold stripe running the length of her body. The second was a slightly shorter serpent, seven meters long, mostly yellow but with blue splotches that covered her body. Lady rin and the other was named mana, two names he would try to remember just in case something was to happen down in the archives. Right after greeting his summons the leader of the group started to break down the mission and let us know that there might still be an enemy inside the building so to stay on our toes, something Zeref planned too do from the beginning. The next thing that happen was a bit more surprising , the white haired shinobi use wood style jutsu while also possessing a sharingan. If Zeref hadnt seen something similar to this before then he would of had the same look on his face as kurayami did, but none the less it was still a pretty cool thing to see. The shinobi in him couldnt help but want to see if that man could teach him that technique and possible others if the man knew any , but this wasent the time nor the place to go wanting to learn new jutsu so he decided it would be best to just put his question to the side for now and wait till the mission was taken care of before he bombard someone with questions.
As they all entered the tunnels together there were to separate pathways and of course everyone split into two different groups, something that resembled movies. Putting the jokes aside Zeref decided to follow his fellow genin down the tunnel on the right side. Feeling slightly creeped out by the unaffiliated Shinobi gesture to follow him, but in the end they were anyway so it didnt make any real difference. Zeref wanted to make small talk but he didnt want the enemy if there was one to hear him. So he just stayed in the back ready for anything that would be coming his way. He was a slight bit more relaxed than he should be only due to that if there was an enemy the shinobi in the front would see him before anything happens to anyone or atleast thats what he hoped would happen.

As soon as they had reached the Tunnel entrance, Masashi would make hand seals and create a pair of Shadow Clones, similar to Taichi’s Wood clones. He would send one clone with Taichi, who chose to walk down the middle path, and the other with the group going down the right path. Masashi himself would travel with the Wood Clone going down the left path, and his two summoned companions would join him.
Their group’s tunnel snaked a good number of meters before splitting off again into another series of tunnels. “Of course there’s more tunnels…” Masashi would say to Taichi’s clone. At least it looked like they had chosen the right path. The maze of tunnels was going to make reaching the reactor in a reasonable time frame unlikely. That wouldn’t deter Masashi though. Whenever they came to a fork, he would ask Lady Rin and Mana to check some of the forks quickly to see if any of them went the way they needed. That particular strategy worked fairly well, especially since they were able to speak telepathically, so it would allow the Uzumaki Jounin to make the decision on which way they needed to go before his scouts fully returned. After about 20 minutes of searching the tunnels, they finally arrived at the end of the tunnel section, opening up into a larger room that held a fair amount of pretty complicated-looking machinery. Masashi would turn to the Wood clone of Taichi. “Please make sure that Taichi and your other clone are updated on the path to get here. Hopefully it’s easy enough for us to simply shut down the reactor before things get worse." With that said, Masashi and his serpents would immediately start looking for something akin to a switch to shut off the reactor.

Taichi and Masashi arrived at the reactor, which was perfect timing. Taichi would send note to the clones which would then pass the note down to the other members of the party that the clones were with. The clone that had gone down the left tunnel, the one that had just ended up in a dead end would dissipate as there was no further use for it. The other clone that was with the other two Genin of the village would tell them that the nuclear reactor was found.
He noticed that the young shinobi, the one with the katana was very on edge and thinking that there was an individual within the room that they had found themselves in. He placed his hand on the boy's shoulder, told him that they were going to check the room before they met the others in the room with the reactor. Quickly he took the west side of the room and he used his enhanced eyesight to check every inch of the room in seconds and he ensured that there was nobody else within the room. Once they were done in the room, he turned back and he guided the Genin into the room with the reactor.
When they were all in the room with the reactor, the next step in the mission was left to be figured out. He thought that it would be good enough for the moment to have his clone go directly in front of the reactor and he would channel the natural energy that he had been gathering naturally due to the Jugo DNA that was residing within his body. Once the hand seals were formed, he would slam his palms into the ground and suddenly a dome would form around the reactor and the clone itself. The dome would be tight enough to where not even light would be able to enter into the dome. The roots of the trees, that were enhanced by his Sage Mode elevating his Vigor, would wrap around under the ground of the room with the reactor, ensuring that even if the reactor was to go off, there would be a large barrier to protect the others in the room and the remainder of the village.
Taichi would turn to his comrades and he would explain his plan with the dome, ensuring them that this reactor should not be strong enough to get out of the sphere that was created by his clone's trees. Once the back up plan was explained, he thanked his clone for his sacrifice, to which the clone acknowledged. Then Taichi instructed the Genin to look for a switch, as he was sure they would have no hang ups with going along with what he was saying as it was the obvious next step in the needs of the village and the mission.
