A Snowman Temper Tantrum

As the young Shinkou continued to scan the room, he felt a hand be placed on his shoulder. He looked over and he looked into the sinister eyes that was natural to the Uchiha. He explained that they were going to check the room before they went to the room that held the reactor, to which Kurayami nodded his head and drew his katana and sped through the room. They both agreed that there was nobody within the room, and Taichi's clone would sprint off back into the tunnels to go through another route to get to the same room as the original Taichi and the Jounin from the village.

The young Shinkou followed the Uchiha into the room that held the reactor. When they all had arrived, the second Taichi Uchiha, which he assumed was in fact a clone would form a few hand seals and have a small dome surround both himself and the reactor. Taichi explained the plan, to which Kurayami agreed that that would be a great back up plan, but he then said that he was going to keep looking for a kill switch that the would be able to use to shut down the reactor before it blew.

He turned away from the others and he began to follow the lines that led away from the reactor until he was able to find some sort of switch that he would be able to switch to kill the reactor as soon as he could.

Standing behind both Kura and the Uchiha clone , Zeref was pretty sure that even if there was someone in the area he more than likely wouldnt have to raise his hand in defense or to attack the guy since he was sure the uchiha would pretty much have the situation under control. He didnt think that this mission going was going to be such a walk in the park as it had been so far since after all it was S ranked mission, he had expected to be going up against some strong ninja and doing something life threating stuff, but instead he was following behind some seriously strong guys. Zeref would watch the short inter action between the uchiha and Kura , wandering why his fellow genin was so alarmed since the clone seemed pretty confident in his abilities.

He then followed Kura to the reactor room and started to begin his search for the button.

It took them longer than expected to find the switch. That is to say, the reactor was pretty close to full meltdown when one of his shadow clones managed to find it, above the reactor and a little to the right. They’d only recently showed up with the rest of the team and thank goodness they had. It was originally hidden in some shadows. They hit the switch, and the sounds of the reactor shutting down could immediately be heard. The Uzumaki Jounin breathed a sigh of relief. “Alright, looks like that would be a mission complete,” he said to the rest of them. “Lets get out of here.” With his snakes in the lead, Masashi would get the team out of the maze of tunnels that spread out underneath the Kozai Yuki National Archives and back up into Hoshigakure.

The Uzumaki Jounin would approach the man in charge of keeping the scene secured and would let him know that the issue had been resolved. Unfortunately if someone had been involved in tampering with the reactor, they were no longer at the scene. With the reporting done, Masashi would turn to the three members of his squad. “Good work everyone, hopefully this is the last we hear of this, at least for tonight,” he said with a chuckle, “mission’s complete as far as I’m concerned, you can all head home. I’ll fill out the mission report and have it filed tomorrow.” He would then turn to his serpent companions and bowed to Lady Rin. “Thank you for coming, Lady Rin, Mana,” and the pair would nod in acknowledgement before de-summoning, returning to their home. With all the pleasantries done, the Uzumaki Jounin would make his way home to his manor home to work on the after action report that the higher ups would no doubt be interested in. All in all, not a bad night’s work. Maybe that meant he could get a little more sleep.

Taichi and the entire group all spread out throughout the room that housed the reactor in search for a switch or something that they would be able to use as a primary power source to cut the power to the reactor before it would have the chance to fully meltdown, as it was seeming to be close to. Taichi spoke to his clone from within the dome that had been placed around the reactor, and the clone spoke back telepathically that the reactor's physical integrity was beginning to give way and that they weren't going to have much time left before the reactor was going to go on full meltdown soon. He also spoke on how the heat was becoming unbearable within the wooden dome. The real Taichi thanked his clone once more telepathically, thanking him for the service that he was providing them all. 

During their search, Taichi had tried his best to follow the different cords that were attached to the reactor, but to no avail. It wasn't until during their search, one of the Jounin's shadow clones had found the very switch that they were looking for. Upon the hitting of the switch, the sounds from the reactor immediately began to lower in pitch, and immediately the lights that was radiating off of the reactor began to dim down. The wood clone that was within the dome would tell Taichi that the reactor was clear, to which Taichi would relay the all clear to the rest of the team that was gathered within the archives underbelly. He dispelled the wooden dome, then he dispelled the wood clone.

He looked to the rest of the team, seeing that the Jounin was already well on his way to getting out of the room and back topside to the ground level of the archives, he figured that that was probably for the best for the rest of the team, including himself. When he heard the jounin say that he was going to be heading back to his home, he chimed in in agreement. "I think I will do the same. It was good to have worked with you guys. Hopefully we will see you guys again under better circumstances."

What that, he would body flicker through the halls and sprint his way back home by leaping from rooftop to rooftop. He was happy that he was able to have provided such a service to the village as a whole, as he was beginning to feel quite the kinship towards it. As he rushed home, mainly so he could get himself some sleep before he headed out the next day for some training, he thought about all of the things that had been happening in his world lately. He was becoming a larger part of this village, yet he wasn't an actual part of it. He wasn't sure if this was going to be something that would change, but he was becoming more and more open to the idea of becoming an official member of the village, it just felt like the right next step for him.

As the reactor was beginning to sound as though it was going into full meltdown mode, the young Shinkou began to frantically sprint through the room, checking every nook and cranny to see if there was a switch of some sort. When he was looking through the entirety of the room, he finally was able to locate the power cord that provided the reactor it's energy. Even though he was able to find the power cord, there was a little fact that needed attention, actually getting to the switch to flip it. He saw that the Jounin from the village that was also part of their village had found the very same cord and was following it to find the switch that they needed to flip, the killswitch as it were. 

Both of the individuals began to run for the switch, but they were pretty much matched for speed. The young Shinkou decided to use the large wooden dome that surrounded the reactor, and they were both aiming to flip the switch. They both got there at the exact same time, but being that the Jounin was in fact his surperior, he bowed to Masashi's clone as he did the honors of switching off the reactor. When the reactor's switch was turned down, the reactor began to power down and you could hear the difference immediately. The heat that was radiating off of the wooden dome began to cool down. 

The team was already beginning to disband, and that was fair enough as it was in the middle of the night and they were all most likely tired and ready to go back to bed. He was looking forward to that very same thing himself, so he bid farewell to the remainder of the team as he saw both the Jounin and the unaffiliated shinobi leave the room. He bowed to Zeref and he made his way out of the building and he went back to his home, still curious as to who it was that messed with the reactor in the first place. He did his best to shrug it off and hurry on home, as he was tired and his eyes were having a hard time staying open and his body was having a hard time reacting in the time that would be required of him to be in battle.

When he got home, he took off all of his gear, hung up his armor, and he headed back to his room to get some much needed sleep.
