Chuunin Exams: Nekrun vs. Vergil

As Vergil took notice of the kunai plunging itself into Nekrun's stomach he indeed would run around the fireball while keeping his Sharingan eye trained upon Nekrun whilst drawing his sword with every intention of stopping the fireball from hitting Nekrun. What he didn't expect to see was Nekrun becoming wrapped in an aura of chakra and was grabbing Vergil's kunai in order to use against him. Vergil would be within five meters of Nekrun as he held his sword at the ready, chakra channeling through it once more, and watched Nekrun with a small smirk. What Nekrun didn't take into account was the fact that the "smoke bomb" wedged into the kunai was actually a paper bomb that Vergil merely disguised as a smoke bomb using his false surroundings technique. The chakra that Vergil's earlier flying swallow was imbuing into the kunai had now completely been seeped into the paper bomb causing the tag to activate and explode as it would also cause Nekrun's kunai still within his hand, given to him courtesy of Vergil, to shatter into pieces and surround Nekrun in smoke which may have impeded Nekrun's vision but not Vergil's Sharingan as he was able to clearly see Nekrun thanks to his chakra cloak. Immediately upon seeing the bomb explode Vergil would than throw his sword at full strength towards Nekrun's gut once again, chakra flowing through his katana fully, as he would put enough strength into his throw to make his katana slice straight through Nekrun's organs if it hit. All the while he would pull out a kunai as the fireball was still moving at so slow a speed for Vergil it was now only 4 meters away from hitting Nekrun while only two meters away from Vergil. His attention would remain ever vigilantly upon Nekrun, however, as he waited to see what would happen. If Nekrun decided to use any attacks with his scythe Vergil would make it a point to dodge such attacks.

Nekrun didn't expect the kunai to explode in his hand, but it happened none the less. Nekrun dodged to his right a three meters, holding his scythe in front of him as a shield, then looking over at Vergil who was holding his katana. I will continue as if Vergil still is going to throw his katana, Nekrun held his scythe at just over a meter from his body, and watched Vergil, prepared to move his scythe if he needed to. Vergil threw the katana at Nekrun and it would stick straight into his scythe, getting stuck before it even reached the hilt. Nekrun would use his free hand to throw a kunai at Vergil and break the katana that was now stuck in his scythe right after the katana made impact. Nekrun would think upon his next move. Of course if Vergil did or didn't throw the katana, once Nekrun made it to the three meters from the explosion, Nekrun would make a two flesh clones, and both would quickly throw kunai at Vergil before rushing him, the one on Nekrun's right using body flicker to get 1 meter from Vergil and slice at him while waiting for the second to show up, the second one that was originally from Nekrun's left used spirit wave to amplify himself and come in to slice up Vergil, both focused on main vital spots that wouldn't fully kill Vergil, but at least knock him out.

Vergil was flabbergasted. Not only had Nekrun shrugged off his surprise paper bomb trap but, as Vergil's Sharingan was able to track with complete ease, he could see Nekrun rolling out of the way of the still incoming fireball all while Vergil kept a safe two meter distance from it. By the time Nekrun had gotten back to his feet Vergil had already let loose his katana as it soared it's way straight towards Nekrun at full speed. Vergil watched his katana soar through the air towards Nekrun coated in Vergil's chakra as Nekrun proved himself just fast enough to get his scythe up in order to try and defend it. Vergil watched in shocked bemusement as he saw that Nekrun had opted to block his incoming katana with the snath of his scythe, digging his feet into the dirt while doing so, as Vergil watched his katana slice straight through the metal of Nekrun's scythe snath and land straight into the target that Vergil had intended to hit. His katana would pierce through Nekrun, the blade sinking deep within the gut of Nekrun's belly, as the blade would slide through and out of his back just as he had thrown his own kunai at Vergil. Seeing Nekrun's kunai make it's slow way towards Vergil he would grab the kunai's hilt from a safe distance, his chakra instantly coursing through the blade, before he brought the kunai around and sliced his own fireball rapidly, standing in front of it and waiting until it was a meter away from him, as his chakra blade would cut straight through it and split it into multiple sections causing it to dissolve into harmless and tiny embers.

Afterwards Vergil looked over to Nekrun, blade sticking straight through the ninja, as the sword had been buried so far into Nekrun the katana's hilt was the only thing preventing the blade from sinking further in. Most likely the pain and loss of blood would cause Nekrun's body enough stress to force him to go unconscious as, if it did, Nekrun's body would collapse onto the ground as Vergil stood before him a few meters away watching in silence. A hush had fallen along the crowd in the stands above the two ninja, proctor stepping forward and checking Nekrun's pulse, as Vergil waited patiently for a verdict to be called out. Vergil had made certain that, while his blade did indeed pierce straight through Nekrun's internal organs, he didn't hit any vital organs that meant instant death. He would wait for the proctor to finish examining Nekrun before shouting out to the crowd that Vergil was the winner and waving to one of the arena's side entrances for medical support. Vergil nodded upon hearing that, the crowd remaining silent as they watched and wondered if Nekrun was going to be ok, as Vergil would walk up to him while forming a few hand seals. If Nekrun was unconscious his body was more then likely laying on the side due to the length of his katana and hilt keeping him from laying in a flat position.

Green chakra would form over Vergil's hands as he leaned down and placed them over the points of entry and exit his katana had made. He would prevent any significant amount of blood from leaving Nekrun's body as he brought his foot up and channeled chakra through it's sole. He would stick his foot to the hilt of his blade and, while keeping his hands steadily healing Nekrun's injuries, slowly use his foot to pull the katana out from his body. Upon fully doing so his healing chakra would completely close off Nekrun's wounds as Vergil stood up, picking his still bloody katana up with him, and step aside as the medic ninja came with a gurney. They lifted Nekrun's body onto the gurney as Vergil laid Nekrun's kunai on top of his body before they could cart him away and off the field. Upon seeing Nekrun gone Vergil swiped his sword through the air, the friction of the air causing the blood on the blade to come right off, before he would bring it slowly into it's sheath. Taking a soft breath, using his free hand to adjust the collar of his vest before bringing it up to run it back through his silver hair, he would then turn and make his way to the opposite entrance in order to take his place with the remaining exam participants.

Nekrun had the whole plan layed out in his head, but it was too late for him, he was almost a hopeless cause against this opponent. Nekrun drew the short straw for his first match and there was no other way to put it. He just had to hope that Vergil was the winner of the Chuunin exams, then he wouldn't be put to shame. Nekrun looked at his scythe, his favorite possession on the planet. There was a hole through it and he felt the blood leaking out of him slowly, wishing he had done something different to save himself from this loss. Nekrun saw his steel scythe almost look at him and cry. A tear rolled down his cheek, shimmering in the light of dusk. Nekrun examined the hole in his scythe "what have I done" he whispered as more tears started to roll down his face. Nekrun felt true despair for the inanimate object that laid in his hand, it looked almost dead in his eyes as he scanned over it. Nekrun could feel the cold heartless katana pulled from his gut as he spat up blood, his blood rushing in and rewarming his body where the katana was removed. He noticing that Vergil obviously wasn't fully trained in pulling swords from people as he gave a tiny hit to a bone that was part of his ribs, causing excruciating pain for Nekrun, but no real bodily harm that wouldn't be heal able soon. He kept chakra cloak active, at least dampening his pain a bit as the katana was pulled from his gut. He looked at his opponent and said to the man one word, although it was said with pure resolve, he spoke "win" it was clear when Nekrun said this that it was not a request, but a order to Vergil. A order that must be carried out to redeem him. Nekrun knew that he didn't really have the right to give a order to the man who had just beaten him, but didn't care and said it anyway. Nekrun thought back to the bracket in his mind, it filling his entire head with thoughts, Vergil would have to fight Tadashi or Minato next. Nekrun didn't quite know Minato, but he knew that Vergil would probably have a problem with Tadashi, another one with the sharingan. Nekrun, while Vergil was still close, spoke to him "Tadashi can be tricky, he's part of my team so he's almost guaranteed to be tricky, you remember the old tales of team 7 with Naruto, the one who became a hokage?, our cell is kinda like that, I'm the sasuke, Fuyo is the sakura, completely useless, and Tadashi is the Naruto, the strongest of the group, or at least the most determined in meeting his goals. He was endowed well, so don't underestimate him" Nekrun finished his speech with that. Nekrun felt the warm touch of healing chakra, he knew he didn't have the power to heal his wounds himself at the moment, so he was very glad that Vergil did it for him. It was important that all ninja knew at least the lowest level of healing jutsu, you never know when you might need it. Nekrun looked into Vergil's red sharingan eyes. They didn't look like they were quite full of hate, maybe it was the amount of blood loss, but Nekrun felt like the eyes were almost endearing to the loss. Nekrun slipped in and out of consciousness for a second, he heard muffled sounds from the crowd as they cheered for Vergil. Nekrun was on a stretcher at this point and wanted to show something at the very least before he left the stadium for the time being. Nekrun held his scythe, the hole and all, into the air so the crowd could see. Nekrun looked at the medical officers that were standing around him, but the ones given the stretcher job this time were obviously under trained and low level, so when they got off the field the cooldown for Nekrun's yin wound healing destruction was finally over, if only it had came a little bit earlier. Nekrun used it to heal himself fully so he could leave the field, as he did so he told the workers "get back for a second" and they all stepped back, watching in awe as his body almost healed himself, pushing out all the metal fragments from the katana that the workers couldn't find. They were amazed at this level of healing that they had never seen before. Nekrun got up from the stretcher and left the field, waving to Vergil at the center of the arena. Nekrun didn't know how he lost, but it was over in a flash, he stood no chance against this opponent, he could only hope that he could get stronger to defeat Vergil at another point in his life. Nekrun didn't know what would come next, but he would sit in the stands and continue to watch the rest of the matches, as his was the first one, Nekrun would be able to see every match that came after it. Nekrun was very excited to watch everyone's matches especially Fuyo and Tadashi throughout the rest of the chuunin exams. Nekrun would sit in the stands and watch the giant screen for the next match just as every other watcher did.

Approved @all except Nekrun claiming Vergil's chakra signature. After calculations, you actually have 1921 TWC. You can choose to add 1921 WC towards Vergil's chakra signature however. Reply when edited so I can approve that.
