Hoshigakure's Ninja Force

After a long and hard day of training his mind by meditating, Yusuke decided to go for a late night walk around the Water Gardens. The ninja had stood motionless for ten hours on this day, emptying his mind and channeling his chakra; the genin figured it would be nice to relax in the silence of the night so he postponed sleep for a late night stroll. 

So Yusuke left the training grounds and headed along the path. He walked nearly a mile on the winding road, and eventually found himself where he was walking to. The Water Gardens of Hoshigakure were beautiful at night, and Yusuke could hear more and more frog ribbits the closer he got to the waters. Lanterns lit the way, and he could easily find a beautiful place to take in the glory of his village. 

The patriot stood next to a fountain, and stared upwards at the flowing water. With the moon light shining from beyond the water sparkled in a most pleasing way. Yusukes companion, Rudi, quietly sat next to Yusuke as the two of them unwound from a long day of stillness. 

The Inuzuks canine was sleepy, and could have fallen asleep right on the spot, but to his surprise there were others out in the night time, walking in the distancr. This kept him alert, mostly because like his owner, Rudi was a friendly dog. Meeting others was fun for the two, and as they sat watching the beauty of the fountain they wondered if anyone would approach them in the midnight hours.

Madara wanted to wind down her long day by taking a nice relaxing walk around the neighborhood, though not before activating mind’s eye of the kagura for some peace of mind. It was already evening and the moon light was incredibly refreshing. She’d missed it since it’d been so long since she’d got to properly enjoy it. She wasn’t the only one who felt this way. There were a mix of people out and about who minded their own business but would give sideways glances at each other.

Every other step the woman took was accompanied with a jingle of coins. Her right pocket contained most of her earnings for the day that she hadn’t spent on food. She was self-conscious about the sound and was a little scared that someone might be out to rob her. She kept to herself mostly and wondered where she even was. She’d gotten so distracted by the beauty of the night that she’d gotten lost. That was never a good sign for a woman. She did her best to remain aware of her surroundings and protect herself, even going so far as to keep a hand wrapped around the handle of a dagger that was sheathed at her waist. She remained vigilant until she popped out of an alley and into an area she recognized.

“Thank goodness,” she sighed as a familiar fountain came into view. This meant she wasn’t all that far from her home and she could relax a little. There would be enough foot traffic around here to deter obvious criminals. It wouldn’t be long before she walked near a man and his dog, though she wouldn’t pay them much attention unless they tried to interact with her.

Ciel suddenly sprang up from out of the middle of his sleep, thinking where the hell was he at. "Oh yeah I did dose off up here", he said to himself. It was early into the night and he had dozed off on a rooftop somewhere in his village. Ciel figured it had to be no more than 9 or 10 pm and with him now being wide awake he decided it was time for him to find something to get himself into. As he walked aimlessly around the village he couldn't help but think about himself and all the things he had been through recently and how he needed to grow stronger if he ever was going to catch up to the rest of his team and actually be useful on higher ranked missions.

He knew his quest for power wasn't going to be easy and since he wasn't born with too much natural talent besides his Sharingan he knew it was going to take more time than others. His Sharingan would for sure help him get out of the sticky situation in the future, he just had to train his body to keep up with his eyes because the last thing he wanted to do was solely rely on using his eyes in every battle unless it was necessary. As he seemed to zone out and be consumed by his thoughts, he was only snapped out of it thanks to him noticing the group of people in the water gardens. It didn't surprise him to find other people here since the beauty of this place could be appreciated in the daytime just as much as it could in night. 

At first glance he couldn't tell much about the group of three and from the looks of it seemed like it was a genin squad about to do some training with their sensei or maybe just enjoying the night like he was. "Hmm I wonder what they could be up to, I don't wanna seem rude and but in but If their doing some secret training or something interesting id hate to miss out on it", he said to himself as he contemplated going up to the group of three."Fuck it", he said to himself as he made his way over to them and as he approached he would call out not trying to be to loud he would do his best not to yell, "Yo, You guys enjoying the night as much i am", He would say to the group as he made his way over.

Not a bark from Rudolf as the party formed, of course the dogs tail wagged happily enough. Yusuke was in a distant day dream as the crowd approached, his eyes gazing beyond the flowing waters of the fountain. Yusukes companion,  Rudi, remained sitting. The two were happy to make friends at any hour, and the ninja duo greeted the first woman who approached with a friendly smile. 

The woman had come from a nearby alley, and Yusuke could vaguely hear her approach. A light jingle that the Inuzuks ninja faintly ignored as he was lost in the dreams of a low ranking ninja. What mostly alerted him to her was Rudi wagging his shaggy black tail. Yusuke put his hand out and waved from a distance before softly calling to the night walking stranger. 

"I hope you're staying safe miss. I'm Yusuke, and this is Rudi. Inuzuka." Yusuke bowed which the lady was still at a distance, and then noticed a dog approaching. Yusuke, the Kennel super meister on live births, didn't recognize the canine as it barked at Rudi who just sat there wagging his tail. Yusuke told his dog, Rudi, to stay and he waved again from a distance to the one who was chasing behind their pup. 

When the man reached talking distance Yusuke replied to him, "Thanks. Rudi is a good boy. He knows what's up." Yusuke scratched the top of Rudi's head, who hadn't moved from his spot this whole time. "Well I just got done training for the day. I'm enjoying the night." Yusuke scratched his head innocently and looked around the fountain the trio had collected themselves near by. 

A newcomer shouted "Yo." Yusuke didn't wave at this newcomer, instead holding respect for the man who was clearly a high ranking member of Hoshigakure no Sato. The upstart genin didn't want to give him the impression he wasn't paying attention. Yusuke did give him a nod, and replied to the ninja still in the distance.

"Tonight is just what we needed." Yusuke slipped him a smile and looked around the group waiting for introductions.

Madara would have been content with just going on her way but she was spoken to. Realizing he meant to start a conversation, Madara turned to him and walked closer all while keeping an eye on the dog since she didn’t like dogs much. Even the peaceful looking ones had it in them to hurt you, even if they didn’t mean it. Plus, being a shinobi meant encountering animals trained to kill. It kind of ruined the fun of being around animals, in her opinion. She had considered getting a combat pet in the past but then she realized she would be devastated if she lost it on a mission.

“Hey, your dog doesn’t bite does it?” Madara would ask. “I’m more of a cat person myself. What are you two up to at this hour?” She suspected that they were waiting for someone since they were just chilling in one spot.

Not long after she finished speaking did more people approach. She could sense them coming after all. She said to Yohei: “I was just on my way home and decided to rest for a while and chat. How about yourself?”

When Ciel arrived Madara said, “yep, just going for a nice walk. Are all of us here shinobi?” she asked, already knowing the likely answer due to her sensory jutsu. She didn’t know why so many people were gathering around, not that she minded. Maybe there were just a lot of social people out and about tonight. Or maybe they all had night time missions to get to soon. Who knew?

As he approached the group of people he would look at them each individually trying to learn as much as he could from their outward appearance before he takes the time to actually talk to them. He wouldn’t want to say something to the wrong person because you never want to make enemies with someone to far above you. From what he could tell though only one of them , the older white hair male was the only one that had any noticeable on him. The other two seemed as though they both were of no higher rank than him , but then again he could be wrong . It was late and some people rather chose comfort than the shinobi vest higher ranking ninja wear.

It did make him slightly happy to know that he wouldn’t be the only low rank ninja amongst them even though he didn’t know that for sure. What He did know was that sometimes rank dosent equal physical strength but it does give you power and to much of that can corrupt even the best of men and in this case women too. As became within normal talking distance ,He would give a slight smile back and acknowledge the nod from the younger male , not forgetting to smile at his little companion as well. 

Ciel wasent much of a dog guy but he didn’t dislike them either, he knew sometimes their sense of smell and tracking can be extremely useful at times. Looking over at the young lady who had asked if they all were shinobi , he couldn’t help but think that it wasent a bad question to ask. Sometimes he can forget not everyone in the village is a fighter and some still need to be protected .“Yeah I am , My name Ciel Uchiha . It’s a pleasure to Meet you all”. He would say with as smile as he looked around the group.

Yusuke started petting Rudi's head as the dog took focus on whi was speaking. It looked like a group of ninjas had popped up, and when everyone confirmed it Yusuke smiled brightly. The elderly genin was proud to be apart of Hoshigakures shinobi force once again. For too many years he had let himself stagnate in service to the Inuzuka Clan. 

A lover of canines, and cats too, Yusuke was proud to serve as a Hauringu Fang. His duty to record every living Inuzuka canines birth was important to the Hidden Clan, but Yusuke had his own dreams. 

When he was asked if his dog bit Yusuke shook his head and snapped his finger, Rudi got on hisbuind legs and put hisbforelegs up in a begging pose. "Naw. He's a good boy. By the way, I didn't catch your name Miss." Yusuke spoke in a soft tone, his gravelly rejoice slightly echoing in the night air. 

He continued, speaking to Ciel Uchiha. "Nice to meet ya Ciel. I'm Yusuke and this is Rudi. I think I said that." Yusuke chuckled and scratched his head. The wild mane of hair he had shook, it's greasy tendrils of hair sticking to each other. 

Rudi continued to speak, "I spent the day training, meditating to grow as a shinobi. I came here to rest my mind after. It's good to meet you all." The chatterbox went on, "So since we're all ninjas for Hoshi, Yusuke flashed his headband that always hung at his waist, "Let's get to know each other. What's your nindo's?" Yusuke was smiling brightly, excited to make new friends.

Madara smiled and said, “the name’s Madara,” when she was prompted by Yusuke. She didn’t give a last name, but people had a nack for associating the name to the Uchiha clan. She was glad to hear that the dog was not going to bite but she still kept an eye on it cautiously.

Madara would nod at Ciel as he made his introduction. It didn’t seem like he wanted to say much. It was the dog owner who had a lot to say. Madara had figured this would be a simple thirty second conversation but he wanted to talk about his day and ask everyone about their nindos. It made Madara want to burst out laughing but she held back any signs of wanting to do so. Did people really have nindos? She thought that was just a cliché that they talked about in the academy. She supposed that it was easier to put all your faith in such a thing if you were trained to be a shinobi from childhood but she hadn’t become one till she was grown.

She would be the first to answer in the group so she said, “can’t say I have a nindo really. I’ve been a genin for a year or two now and it doesn’t seem like I’m ever going to move up the ranks. I guess the most I can make out of my life is to be a low rank foot soldier.” She pulled out a flask and took a big swig before continuing, “but okay if I have to have a nindo it’d be… to not die.”
