So the day had finally arrived. It felt like a long time coming, but at long last it was here. The day where two would partake in one of Kumo’s many notorious challenges; the Warmonger’s Gauntlet. Three people would definitively enter at one point or another, 2 challengers, and 1 quarry that they would be going after. Now, unlike some other missions similar to this that have been done by both of said challengers in the past, this mission they were about to undertake was slightly different. It added the option of fighting someone else after they’d be victorious. Hopefully, just hopefully, they’d get to knock out the first one in due time without sustaining much injuries to be able to do this.

This is what Hiroki Shimada had hoped for, at least, one of the two previously mentioned challengers. The thought tarried along while he was entering the designated zone of the arena. Once inside the makeshift waiting area, he’d wait there for the other who was supposed to be joining him. One, Meika Kamigawa. They’ve talked about doing something like this in the past, and well, on this day it would all come to fruition.

And so, with nothing else to do, Roki would linger in that room being the sole one inside, wearing his new armor; an all black set of fine leather and iron. Lightweight, and the best part; the mask acted as a rebreather in case of unwanted toxins in the air or in the off chance this fight would delve underwater. Katana lay in it’s sheath along his right hip, arms crossed slightly right above his chest.

Meika's Stats:

This place . . this arena had a darkness to it. The Warmonger arena was meant for people to show off their dedication for the ranks. Where blood was bitterly spilt amongst the cement.

Will this end like her last encounter? Where the enemy she faced actually summited to his fate?

Or will this end in death. . .

The outcome will not be entirely up to Meika.

Her black ronin robes was her choice of attire, just like the last time she fought against a formidable foe. Within the breast folds of the robes was her Tanto, within easy access if necessary. The woman's wrists contained the ninja sealing bands and the infinite ring glistened from her pinky. Her ninja pouches was strapped to her right thigh.

And along the back of her shoulder was the seals that Hiroki was so kind to place. At least it seemed that he didn't mind providing his protection in this case. It meant something to the Kamigawa.

For the time being, Meika decided to leave Nanaki out of the fight. The bird was still too inexperienced. Meika wasn't ready to take on the burden if she was to lose him in a battle. Not yet was she prepared for such a lose.

Her boots glided acrossed the floor of the arena as she entered the perimeter. Making a stand in a location that was 40 meters from the very center of the arena, to her right was Hiroki who was about 20 meters off from her shoulder.

This was it . . may the two of them be the victor. Just as a sudden mysterious sensation creeped up her spine.

”Senkou The God”:

“Ugh shit.” He muttered under his breath as the gates leading into the Warmonger’s arena parted. The assortment of lights dazed the Hyuuga who stumbled into the arena, his eyes immediately wondered toward the duo in the distance.

“Two versus one, crafty, " he muttered again as he adjusted the weapon pouches provided to him for this battle. In his right hand, he held a crystal singing blade. Upon entering, he activated his Byakugan without a second thought before advancing to the centre of the arena.

Senkou eventually stopped at exactly in the centre of the arena, still located 40 meters from the female prospect and about that distance from the fella that stood 20 meters away from the young woman.

“Well… what are we here for?” he called out to the duo, his right-hand twitching in excitement, the blade inadvertently singing through the air as the piercing blue eyes looked upon the chakra networks of the young challengers.

As Meika entered the arena, Hiroki would quickly follow suit in entering the circular coliseum.

Taking a stance to the kunoichi’s right, as their opponent would be let loose from their gate, the mischief maker would briefly shut his eyes closed with a gentle flutter; right before snapping them open in a rather violent and overt manner. The left had taken on a change in this, revealing that it was actually a Sharingan. With it’s enhanced vision, from the distance their enemy was he could see that said criminal possessed a doujutsu as well in both eyes; the same in both. Byakugan. Not bothering to keep it a secret, he’d call out to his fellow ally in this match. ”Meika, be careful. This one is of the Hyuuga clan, Nobo is in current possession of one of their doujutsu eyes so I’ve seen a bit of it’s potential.” To which was left unspoken for now; the boy knew that anyone with it had a unique trait of x-ray vision, it was how the former Raikage had managed to see Elias slip under the ground and be able to know where he went.

Then, Roki’s eyes would loom over to the Hyuuga. One blue, one red piercing his direction. ”To give them a spectacle, so I can trust you won’t make this…dull.” And with saying that, they’d be off to the races.

Immediately, the Kumo shinobi would go through a differing variety of handseals, and upon their creation, two clones would emerge 1 meter on his left and right side. The two would come into view in particular manners. Lightning chakra would flash in the spot, giving a visual effect that they appeared to be running into view, but without actually moving anywhere. They’d however stand there, silently and patiently. Drawing upon the natural energies of the world in place of the actual person.

Techs Used:

"Mhm~" Meika nodded to reassure that she had heard Hiroki's information. Her eyes scanned over their opponent's form figure, and what was amongst him. From the pouches and to the very blade within his grasp.

One of her eyes shifted to the shade of black as her bloodline dojutsu activated. Meika's right hand began to form hand seals as she carefully watched the dark haired opponent that stood within the Arena's center. Ready to react if needed. She could already tell that he was antsy by the way his hand held that blade.

Four chains will protrude from the floor, creating a diamond shape from around the man. Their anchor point being exactly eight meters away from the hunter npc, at each corner of the diamond shape. The two chains ( that are located in front of him and one behind him ) will travel in the direction inwards, aiming to hit his lower waist. The other two ( one on each side ) aims for his upper torso.

The rest will wait to correspond with the opponent's reaction.

Battle Notes:

Chains would rapidly be sent in the each cardinal direction of the rogue nin in which the pair of Kumogakure Chunin had found themselves up against. But, glancing down the geometric straight lines provided by the links of cold, gray metal would make it clear that the same man in question, wasn’t reacting at all to this. It was an advantage, that’s for certain. While risk taking was fun every once in a while, and while no one had gotten directly harmed yet, there still wasn’t the want for any chances of the possibility to even arise. So, Hiroki would try to press the attack, and launch his own attacks against the missing nin now.

Dashing in a B line towards their opponent, the Shimadan would enter his Raijin’s Rage; the veins running across his forehead and arms becoming slightly more prominent as the teen was fueled by the anger of a baleful storm. The clones would stick back, continuing their meditations to pull from energy from the earth’s crust. A streak of red and black drawing closer and closer towards the Hyuuga, handseals being performed during this mad dash. When the lad would come to a sudden stop, the distance would between both men would have narrowed to 10 meters with Hiroki being diagonally to the fellow’s left hand side in front of him. It was a tactic made in the heat of the moment, making sure to not get within the path of any of the chains.

It wouldn’t be until after all of them would make their mark though, that the shinobi’s attack would become apparent. Opening his mouth, a purple conical cloud would roll and stretch outwards. Reaching around and bending in spirals until it would creep along the ground; expanding to a cloud that would have a width of 10 meters, and a length of 20. Whoever was unfortunate enough to be trapped within the cloud wouldn’t be too keen on it’s effects either. The toxin in question wasn’t the normal one presented by the same technique itself. It was one of the Dragon Slayer’s own design. Graven Rot; more specifically from his Witherbloom technique. A nasty poison that had absolutely brutal effects when it came to it’s offensive capabilities. Worst of all, it didn’t need to be inhaled, contact with skin alone was good enough. And with some more, spider like peculiarities, fingers would splay into intricate positions, creating an aura around himself. Once it would be met by Senkou, the guy would feel that his Speed would be drained a bit if their chakra wasn’t potent enough to resist the effect.

Tech Used:

Each chain succeeded in striking their assigned points and suddenly grew taunt. Causing a 10 by 10 meter cage to form around Senkou as Hiroki raged forward towards their opponent. Stopping just to where the cage would form, 10 meters from the captured Senkou that was now anchored to each metal wall that warped around him. 

Each chain was taunt to keep him suspended into place from within the cage, and Hiroki's creeping cloud attack made it's advance towards the hunter. 

Perhaps Senkou wasn't as ready as Meika had guessed. His antsy dance led to him being hesitant to react, and now put him in quite a nasty situation. Meika stood on stand by as the chains grew even more taunt, the gears on the cage turned as their strength proceeded to pull the opponent in half. If successful, Senkou would have his torso and waist ripped from one another. 

A disgusting, gory situation that Meika wasn't all prepared to witness. But her gaze didn't break as the two Kumogakure shinobi threaten to end things quickly. It couldn't be that simple. . right?

It was easy to tell when the criminal was about to make a move. While any ordinary person might have missed the slight give in the man’s left knee and the way it tilted inwards to indicate an about face maneuver on that same foot, Hiroki was no ordinary person. The Sharingan’s blessings had become apparent once more in being able to see this factoid being presented ever so carefully. A slight change in plans would be made. The clones would continue to sit in meditation, seeing as there was hardly a chance for them to close the distance now. While the Kumo nin would stay his course in the movement itself, and the activation of Raijin’s Rage, since their opponent had ditched the location of where he was standing, what he had originally planned to do would be stopped.

Instead, a chase would give in.

Not like one of those big, action packed chases that one might see in a movie or anything of the sorts, but moreso that to just pursue the dude they were after. And while Hiroki may not have been able to keep up or catch the fellow, that wasn’t necessarily the entire goal of this. Instead it was to corral them into the wall where it would be somewhat easier to land a strike due to the limited escape options in which one could potentially take there. As the nin in question came to a stand still towards the wall, Roki would follow suit with halting 30 meters away. During the last few seconds of movements, both hands went about making some handseals, and upon the final one being formed, he’d outstretch both appendages allowing for a yin-yang disc to form in between them. Spinning there for but a moment, within the next, a 10 meter in diameter cylindrical beam would fire forth, potentially striking the Hyuuga.

And it turns out that Meika was correct. It was not meant to be so simple. The battle was still on going and they was not yet finished here. Meika knew she needed to act quickly from the very moment that the hunter pivoted within his position. Her body instantaneously became surrounded by chakra lightning as her slim form surged with energy, all the while she dashed forward towards the center of the arena. She traveled at full given speed while her left hand created the hand seals for an amplifier.

During the time of her dash, the Hyuuga would have already successfully destroyed the one chain link and followed onwards to his entrance of the arena. Her chain attack was easily discarded, leaving her to have to come up with a different means of attack.

Meika completed her hand seals for her left hand and extends one of her sealing papers from the ninja sealing bands at her wrists, her right hand working with a different long line of hand seals to prepare for her upcoming attack. Meika stops 31 meters from where she had begun her dash from a speed that was just a tad faster than her opponent's. Meaning that she was able to complete her 31-meter dash much sooner than the hunter completed his 40-meter one to the opposing side of the arena. Meika slammed down her paper seal onto the ground as 5 gallons of water erupted from the parchment. Meika then followed by slamming her right hand onto the water in corresponding to the line of seals she had performed,

The water surged upward at Meika’s new given position, which was now 49 meters from the hunter. The water shapes into 5 sharks just within the 30 meters of Meika but being at that very 30-meter mark that led towards the direction of the hunter’s entrance. Each shark being 4 meters long and 2 meters wide, that didn’t hesitate to surge toward the direction of the hunter. Meika maintained the last seal with a single hand as four of the sharks formed to attack as a tight arch around the hunter, who was just 10 meters from the wall. The fifth shark attacked from above, raining down its attack on the man.

Even as the sharks maneuvered their way toward the man, Meika continued on to advance. Her attack left her with about 10 meters remaining which the hunter needed to finish his dash before he turned to attack Hiroki.

It was unfortunate that the distance the hunter had put between both him and the Kamigawa woman made it pretty much impossible for her to do much in terms of steering him from attacking Hiroki. Unless he broke his attack to focus on the sharks that were closing in on him fast. Each shark had to travel 19 meters from where they started to reach the hunter and had about 10 meters before the hunter finished his dash. Meika continued to advance 15 more meters toward the two.
