Potato Picking for Konoha Woman
Tue Apr 10, 2012 12:08 am
It may not have been the most glamorous of missions, but even the greatest ninja had to start somewhere. The adolescent boy walked through the Konoha village gate. His eyes bolted from side to side, taking in all the differences between this village and his own. According to the mission, an old woman needed help here digging some potatoes. It may not have been Kankuro’s first choice of mission, but even he had to admit that it was at least an easy one. He would make it back to the village in the mist in no time at all. The view of the woman’s house was already in sight.
Getting straight to work, the boy was given the tools he would need to take care of the task. Taking the small handheld shovel within his hands, he dug it into the ground. The edge of the shovel pushed through piles of dirt, tossing it aside with each potato he dug. Each potato only took a few quick moments of digging around them before he was able to pull them from the ground and put them into the basket the woman had provided. The entire harvest was over in just under an hour.
“Thank you so much, dear,” the woman told the mist ninja, patting his head.
He smiled humbly as he put the basket down just inside her small home. “It was no trouble at all, ma’am.”
The mission was over just as quickly it’d begun and Kankuro was soon on his way back to his own village once again. Next time, hopefully he would have a mission with a little bit more excitement.
