March 'Til Dawn Brings Death
Sat Apr 28, 2012 11:56 am
Crimson leaves crunched beneath the feet of the soldiers walking down a path in the forest. This forest had the traces of fall already coming, and the colors of the season along with it. As the soldiers marched, they came across a fork in the fall forest. Daybreak was soon headed there, and the soldiers along with their leader, Nashua Uchiha, needed to get to the intended destination quickly. And so they stood, two roads diverging in a yellow wood. Nashua flicked his hand twice, once at the largest group of soldiers, a group of several ANBU and Chuunin and higher ranks, and gestured them with the second flick towards the path on the left. A few Uchiha guards and higher ups including elite ANBU with some Jounin then followed him. The first, larger group was to wait in a perimeter surrounding Kumogakure while Nashua's group would go in for an ambush. The large group would have a clash with many forces possibly if Kumogakure shinobi spotted them or were awoken, but the real fight was going to be between Nashua and his opponents. There was a sensation that swept over his body as he dashed, several ninja following close behind. He hadn't killed in awhile, and hoped this would be a good one. Nashua could almost feel the cool red mercury known as blood splashing across the ground and his kimono, painting the village red. He dashed on, taking the road less traveled as Kumogakure's doom drew ever closer.
The path wound through the yellow canvas of trees as the ambush group headed ever closer to an entrance to Kumogakure that had been plotted out pre-battle. Nashua had recently had a meeting with the Raikage, seemingly to strengthen inter-village relationships. Although, that meeting had been the cloak to a hidden purpose nobody except the Leaf Ninja that were there with the Hokage that day would have known about. While Nashua met with the Raikage, an expert cartographer went all around the foreign village, plotting and mapping practically every nook and cranny. The path that the Hokage and his troops were on now led out to a set of stairs that, once ascended, would bring them to the side of the main part of the village. From there, art would soon be created. A palette of blood and gore would be spread, the village of Kumo Nashua's blank paper. Creation of new, beautiful things always came at a cost, after all. But nobody said that cost ever had to be negative to the artist in anyway. Death and destruction drew ever so near by the second for this poor village. Nashua would rid them of the pathetic rule of their Raikage, a mere child named Kino. Nashua thought about it and then was saddened at the thought he would likely majorly overpower the Raikage, proving to be no fun of a match. Nevertheless, he continued.
A minute later, they emerged from the woods and gazed upon the large flight of stairs. Not wanting to waste time, Nashua took a kunai from one of the ANBU behind him, marked it with Flying Thunder God, and hurled it towards the air, a path parallel to the stairs. He then teleported, warping in a flash to the spot of the kunai and landing on the top of the staircase with expert timing. Nashua stood up and dusted himself off, smiling and looking down at his elites, a slender finger to his lips and motioning for them to come with him. And that is when it happened. The carnage began at first with an explosion at the front of the village. Nashua was standing at the south-western side of a large building and stuc to the wall as he watched several ninja rush towards the direction of the explosion. Once they reached the bridge over to the next mountain, there was a few more explosions. These explosions came from paper bombs planted on bridges that allowed movement between the different parts of the village mountains. They had also been planted earlier, another part of the strategy. The screams of pain that resounded from Kumogakure ninja were like music to Nashua's ears as the bridges went down and all those ninja headed toward the diversionary explosion would be killed if they were on or around any of the bridges. There had been excessive planning and tactics put into this attack, all personally developed by Nashua Uchiha. It was going perfectly as the troops finished their march up the stairs and met up with Nashua, whom of which was smiling and laughing wickedly, having an amazing time with the death all around. Death would be pleased too, so many new friends all at once, so many souls to deliver to the after life. Truly it was a joyous day.
Nashua walked out from behind the building's cover and into the open air of the village. He took a deep breath in and exhaled happily as three Jounin and two ANBU, all of Kumogakure, skidded to a halt before Nashua. They readied their weapons, all having katanas, and Nashua activated Mangekyou Sharingan to ready his weapon. He had not used his Mangekyou much, nobody was worth using it on after all. Hopefully these pathetic soldiers could stand at least some chance against him. One of the ANBU was shocked as he noticed the hat atop Nashua's head, the Hokage hat. "Th-that's the Hokage! Oh god he's gonna kill us all!" the man shouted in terror as he turned to flee. But as he did so a black vortex formed at the center of his chest and it was too late, as a rapier, a blade black as night and powerful as the judgement of the gods themselves, appeared in his torso, impaling and killing him. As the body was set alight and consumed by a small inferno, Nashua's eyes quickly dashed across the sight of the 5 men, the rapier following and rippi9ng out of the dead ANBU and slicing across the bodies of the other four. "Hmph, not even a challenge," Nashua spoke, an airy tone in his deadly voice. He spread his arms out, inviting challenges as he went, returning the Blade of Hell formed by the Magekyou Sharingan to his side and wielding it now with an iron grip as he headed towards the Raikage building, cutting down all in his way. Explosions occurred around him as buildings toppled and burnt and blood was splashed across the ground. It was a fun sight for Nashua, he hadn't killed this much in awhile. He was sure Yonbi felt the same way. Nashua soon arrived at the door of the Raikage building, gazing up at the top. He jumped and climbed up to the top of the building, ascending to the roof. Once he was on the roof, he began to form four arms of chakra from his torso. Yonbi's power was very unique and powerful, also quite handy at times. Using the arms, Nashua pushed off the roof and launched several feet into the air. Within his hands he began to form two Rasengan, and one Rasengan ball in each of the four chakra arms. It was time that the Raikage face him, face his death. "Come out come out wherever you are...." Nashua said loudly yet high as he then turned and plunged towards the roof of the Raikage building, four arms and his own hands extended out to the ground. "RAIKAGE!!!" he shouted, an invitation of death as the Rasengans slammed down into the roof, causing a massive explosion of chakra and wood, also sending Nashua plummeting through the whole building and all its floors. Once he reached the bottom there was a collision of the Rasengan in each hand with the ground and a massive sphere from the power was created, destroying the Raikage building and those around it, enough force to kill anyone in the area or do extreme damage. All that was left of the area was a large smoking crater, Nashua standing at the center untouched. It was apparent, he was the harbinger of death today.

"We would have been foolish to stay in the building." The Deputy Raikage (Now the Raikage since the main oen was away) spoke to his advisors, who stood beside him upon a nearby building. They had observed the destruction caused by Nashua up to this point. They hadn't just stood there and done nothing though - in all the time that they had been in hiding, they had been relaying orders to the ANBU on what to do in the event of a village attack. Having the attacker be a Bijuu and a Kage made the job considerably harder, which resulted in mandatory changes of plan.
"Send backup, I will need it." Explained the Raikage. The two advisors nodded, each raising a clenched fist which signalled a free ANBU to come to their position. The Raikage's order was quickly relayed and the ANBU nodded and left to gather backup. In the meantime, the Raikage attached his favourite weapons to his wrists - scythe-shaped blades which threatened to slice apart those that he sliced against. With his ferocious speed, he was likely to outrun even the attacker and perhaps use it to his advantage along with his blades. He smiled at his plan, but then his expression changed to a frown at the prospect of him possibly having to kill who was once an ally. Konohagakure had declared war on Kumogakure.
Turning to face his advisors for the last time before the battle, the Raikage bid them farewell with a clenched fist. He then looked to Nashua, leapt off the building and started walking between the debris of other nearby destroyed buildings to reach him. Once he was a sufficient distance away of ten metres, he raised his wrist scythes and assumed a battle pose.
"You'll never be forgiven for this, Hokage." He frowned, his guard up. "You have declared war on Kumogakure and now it is my duty to eliminate you."

"Declared war? Oh no I would think not," Nashua said, grinning wide like the Cheshire Cat. It was apparent that the person standing a distance away from him now was likely the replacement for the Raikage.
"War would imply that both sides have chances of winning fairly!" Nashua said, bursting with laughter. "You see, this place, and anyone who opposes me, have been in checkmate for the last five moves and didn't even realize it," Nashua said, ten soldiers, a mixture of his own elite4 Uchiha and some ANBU, assembling behind the Mangekyou wielder, having returned from wreaking havoc. With that, Nashua's smile disappeared and was occupied by a serious face that gave off a large aura of death.
Nashua signaled with his hand for the ninja behind him to leave. At first they were hesitant, but then they too caught the aura emanating from Nashua. He was becoming excited and might actually have to fight with this one. Kumogakure wouldn't have likely put another weakling in the place of the first to deal with protection while the Raikage was gone. And that was the fun part about it. Nashua stared down with the Raikage, interlocking eyes and focusing, seeing any intent and predictions through the Mangekyou Sharingan. He then rapidly switched his sight down to the spot of where the Deputy Raikage's heart was, a small black vortex appearing at miniscule size. It was imperative that the attack be reacted to as late as possible, and a half second later the stark black hilt of a sword would appear as the rest of it was rapidly brought into existence, appearing right in the middle of the Raikage's heart. As this attack went, Nashua looked down at his side and quickly formed another two Blade of Hell rapiers, flipping to the left in the air and grabbing them as he went. He landed and brought the swords up in a fighting stance, one sword with perfect positioning to guard attacks and the other held straight forward in offense as Nashua glared back at the Raikage, tracing any movements he would have made throughout with his eyes.

The Raikage ignored the Uchiha's hollow threats. He was a Hokage, yes, but the frequency of his clan line appearing throughout history meant that many of the Uchiha's weaknesses had already been discovered. Though the Raikage hadn't had the luxury of studying them up for battle, there had been a fair few rogue ninja possessing the same or similar traits to those that a Uchiha would have and it was from those that he formed his next plan of attack.
As the Uchiha interlocked eyes with the Raikage, he quickly looked away, leapt into the air (thus avoiding the currently-undetected vortex at the same time) and landed to the side, the same distance away from Nashua but four metres away from where the blade of hell now was. Without the support of his flesh to keep it in the air, it clattered to the ground uselessly.
"A war doesn't have to suggest equal possibility of the victory of either side. A war can be one-sided, unending or brief. I will demonstrate." The Raikage spoke quickly as he formed a single hand sign with his two hands and suddenly zipped forward at the speed of what would have been difficult to follow with normal eyes (such as those of the advisors, who gasped at the demonstration) and brought the wrist scythes to Nashua's waist height, aiming to cut him in half. It didn't matter at this point if Nashua tried to attack him with his own blades - the Raikage had another trick up his sleeve. This battle was going to be one for the legends. It was a test of speed.

((OOC: I would like to note that my Mangekyou Sharingan: Blades of Hell can float and be guided in midair and float or impale in target when not being directed, so the rapier would still hover there at same distance from me that you are, therefore it doesn't fall to the ground))
Nashua tracked the Raikage with his Mangekyou as he looked away and jumped into the air four meters to the side. Once he landed, he spoke quickly and then moved his hands into a handseal. As soon as this happened, Nashua had started with his great visual abilities. The scene would seem to play out in slow mo in Nashua's head as he read the Raikage's movements. The move forward would usually not have been able to be seen by most, but the visual prowess granted to Nashua allowed him to see it. The Raikage would head straight forward from the spot he had landed, not turning to look back towards Nashua and rose his scythes up to about waist height as he continued forward. Nashua, however, had already figured it out. Once the Raikage was within two meters of Nashua's position, (Still at the path of line taken from the placement of four meters to the left in relation to the position Nashua was aligned with the hovering, failed sword attempt at) Nashua would turn and face a direction that would put straight moving attacks on a course perpendicular to the way the Raikage was moving. He would flip back a few meters and form handseals, exhaling deeply as an enormous ball of fire bloomed from his lips and was shot at the Raikage. With the predictions made and speeds of different objects included into the factor of battle, the middle of the giant fireball would likely end up colliding at an intersecting point with the Deputy Raikage. While forming the handseals Nashua had let his swords float to the side an inch, and quickly snatched them back and into a guarding position as he landed and skidded back, waiting like a python to continue consuming his prey.

(Ok, that's fine.)
The Raikage knew Nashua had underestimated something. He was 2.8 times faster than the Hokage - almost three times faster. With the fireball cannoning toward his path, the Raikage knew he would hit it. But even though the Sharingan could predict movements, even more so for the Mangekyou, it didn't assist the rate of reaction for the body, and neither was this the case for the speed of the fireball. Thus, all the Raikage would have to do was change direction. He jammed the metal wrist scythes into the ground in front of him and put his foot behind, causing him to slide across the ground until he came to a halt. Yes, it was a critical error he had made in revealing his true speed, but he had to play to his strengths now. With his speed, he leapt backward and narrowly avoided the fireball as it blazed past his face, singing him very slightly. He landed on the ground, looked to the Hokage and began running toward him at 3/4 of his full speed with only a distance of five metres to cover.
"New strategy." He muttered, clapping his hands together. A beam of lightning erupted from between his palms, smashing through the ground and creating a large fissure as it veered the five-metre distance toward Nashua. If there was something the sharingan couldn't predict - it was chakra.

Nashua watched as the Raikage dodged the fireball barely and skidded to a halt as it passed him. The Raikage would then make a dash towards him and build up chakra as he activated a jutsu with the clap of his hands. A beam of lightning shot to the ground from his opponents hands and Nashua saw the chakra start forming towards him. The Raikage may have been fast, but Nashua was smart. He jumped in the air an inch, and then formed an arm of chakra from his back as it rapidly extended, launching Nashua over the large fissure created and over the Raikage. As he did so, he reached deep inside himself, into the cage of the beast. Yonbi, lend me your power! Nashua called to his beast. By the time Nashua was 3 meters from the beginning of the fissure and Raikage, two dark red tails would have grown from behind him and his body would be covered in a coat of red chakra. This was the power of the Yonbi, Four Tailed Beast. Truly a sight to behold. Nashua would rapidly turn towards the Raikage and thrust his hand out, extending a long bubbling arm of chakra rocketing towards the enemy as he guarded with his rapier still in other hand. As the arm launched, he would surge chakra into it and send it to the surface of the arm. With this, the battle was sure to be one to behold.

Current stats:
Health: 50
Chakra: 80
Stamina: 20
Speed: 100 [2x Nashua's]
Strength: 20
The Raikage watched in awe, continuing running and closing the distance between himself and Nashua at the same time Nashua was thrown over the fissure and transformed into the Yonbi. Through gritted teeth, the Raikage knew he had to use his second plan. He leapt straight toward the Jinchuriki-Uchiha-Hokage (a mouthful!), thrusting his wist straight toward the bubbling arm of chakra heading straight toward him. He activated his chakra just before it reached him, and there was a mighty explosion as the two chakra entities matched. The Raikage's mighty chakra emerged from his wrist scythes and attempted to envelop the Bijuu's. It was almost as if the Raikage's chakra was corroding away the Bijuu's, though it probably felt different from Nashua's end.
"This is only your first tail isn't it, Jinchuriki? How many can you behold?" The Raikage grinned, increasing the force of the chakra through his wrist scythe, aiming to slice into the Bijuu.

''You summoned me'' Evens said to the Raikage.
Evens was shocked when he saw a person. A person glowing red.
A Jinchuriki! Evens thought inside his head.
Evens was scared and couldn't understand why he, a newbie genin, should help against a Jinchuriki. But because he was summoned by the Raikage he just had to help.
Evens stood up and looked at the two tailed maniac.
Konohaninja.. A special person.The Hokage!
Evens figured it out and shook his head in fear of dying.
Evens and the Raikage was battling together against the Hokage. He just couldn't belief if.
''Oh well... I guess i have to help then''
Evens said to the Raikage.
I think i can help. But if i get to close I just end up getting killed.
Evens thought while looking at the tailed Hokage.
Evens prepared himself to a gruesome battle. He took his beloved dagger forth and waited to see any reaction.

The chakra of the arm Nashua had launched began to weaken a bit as it clashed with the chakra from the Raikage's scythe. Although it was weakening a bit, it did not matter. Nashua sent another burst of chakra up the arm to the end, and detonated it. The hand of the arm would burst in a flash of light flames, mainly causing huge light at the end. Nashua, unaffected by the light due to his distance, then activated Flying Thunder God. With the chakra arm, he had used some of his chakra to mark the Raikage when he clashed with the arm, unknown by the opponent. Nashua reappeared upside down, balancing using his hand as he grabbed the marked, right hand scythe of the Raikage. He would shoot a smaller chakra arm at the ground below the Raikage and push himself off, away from the Raikage and slipping the right mini scythe off of his hand. When he landed he instantly refocused and saw a ninja standing next to the Raikage, appearing as a Genin. Nashua smirked evilly.
"Think fast Raikage! Now get out of the way boy!" he spoke rapidly as he pulled his hand back, readying his arm with strength. He then kicked his arm forward forcefully, launching the mini scythe at a high speed towards the forehead of the Genin. It spun through the air, cutting a path towards its target in the motion of a throwing knife. Here would come into play as for testing the Raikage, would he save the boy? Or would he ignore it and continue to fight? It didn't matter to Nashua, both of them were going to be dead by the end anyway. Getting into defensive mode, he snapped his fingers and five ANBU who had been watching the awesome battle from the shadows got in front of him in a formation, ready and eager to join the fight as Nashua surrounded himself with a sphere of his own chakra, coating the outside with fire and making it out of Yonbi's chakra, increasing its hardness and defensive capabilities and making anything that touched the surface burn. This would all happen in a matter of around two seconds, befitting of this battle of wits and speed. As Nashua got into defense it would be the time of judgement for the innocent boy who had happened upon the battle.
