A new friend. [Demetri, Echo(as someone else)]

Demetri heard the thump and grabbed his make shift katana and swung out at what he thought was the boys midsection,just a little above the sound in a diagonal sliceing action, if he was incorrect then the stick would break and he would be in trouble. He would be without his stick and would have to rely on his fist and a few jutsu.

The stick is just short, a normal Katana being twenty four inches long and his position seven feat above the boy would cause his swing to smash against the tree and shatter.

As the boy reaches the apex of his swing Arashi pushes off with his back foot dropping and closing the distance quickly with the added force of the jump and gravity along with the swing that leaves the boy open allows Arashi "Uzumaki style Meteor Punch" as he dubbed it in the few moments he was preparing the strike lands, a right hook forming his body turning in mid-air all his weight being directed to the punch which would slam into the boy's left cheek with crushing force...for a Genin anyway.

If his strike lands the boy would be sent stumbling from the branch to a fifteen foot drop down into the bushes below which would save him from too serious an injury, falling from his roost Arashi's left coiled foot kicks backwards shifting his weight his left hand shooting towards the Other branch, his shoulder tensed and locked to prevent dislocation as the hook embeds itself into the branch and he lowers himself in a drop to the ground before getting back in his original taijutsu stance another smirk on his face as he awaits to continue.

'We are the links of the Uzumaki Clan, the Uzumaki chain.' he hears his Grandfathers words in his head, 'We are the Uzumaki and our chains can hold Kyuubi himself. Remember this.' his Grandfather pauses 'And never let the village forget.'.

Arashi chuckles..an ominous sound in the forest echoing around as he remembers...he will never forget....he will make the village remember just what his clan has done for them over the years "Do you know who I am?" He asks his opponent calmly never once breaking his stance or having his concentration leave him.

The clanless boy boy heard the stick crush and he let loose of it the second he heard the sound and felt a sharp pain his cheek as he went flying towards the ground he reached out and grabbed ahold of a limb about eight feet down and swung upon it like a monkey and landed upon another tree branch and jumped again seeking a place to hide.

Demetri laughed a little at the boys question "No i do not." he said "But i like the way you fight." he told the boy picking back up his fighting stance.

Since you were going for a Diagnol slash your hands would be spread apart, leaving you open.

My own Speed stat, plus the gravity of the downward jump would allow me to close the mere seven foot distance rather easily and land the punch.

A better move would have been to bring your Other hand up and block or step to the side, tree walk and fall so you could stand underneath the branch, like Naruto did when he mastered it, course that's what I'd do.]

"Uzumaki Arashi" He answers "The last in Konoha, the Clan heir and as of Three days ago, clan head to the Uzumaki." He says "Your name." He asks, now bouncing on his heels to keep him loose prepared to lash out at any moment as he awaits the boys next attack.

Another Scarlet Warrior of the Uzumaki clan stands before this boy, the Last of the Scarlet Warriors....the one the Senju Aeon missed in his initial attack, powerful chains of chakra, fuinjutsu strong enough to seal the Nine Tailed demon god Kyuubi...a direct descendant of Mito Uzumaki the first Jinchuuriki.

This boy stands at the front of a deceased clan, the spirits of his ancestors at his back making a sea of red hair and blue eyes prepared to charge "The secret of the chain...do you know what it is...?" He mumbles to himself "We are the chain...We've risen from extinction twice, we are the unyielding, the untiring, the unstoppable...we are Uzumaki...." He finishes a bit louder the beginnings of a chain peeking out from his right palm hidden at his side. "And we will never be forgotten.." he finishes.

Demetri looked at where the boy stood and heard the boys name "Arashi My name is Demetri i may not hold a title like clan leader but i also know that some times that the tainted blood from blood lines can be over come if you train enough." He told Arashi as he started to mumble something about a scarlet chain and saw the chains start peeking out of his hands. I need to stay away from that he thought as he jumped into another tree forming hand signs for a jutsu before jumping out at the boy from behind pushing off a tree with all his might his arm drew back for the strike aiming for the cheek of the boy hoping to return the favour.

He watches his opponent leap atop a fifteen foot high branch with impressive leg strength and then curve around the branch in order to leap at him head on, Arashi tenses his muscles and as the boy curves around the tree Arashi's left hand swipes against his left side drawing the stick-kama which he throws towards the boy's midsection as he leaps towards him his fist drawn back for a mighty blow which will be stopped cold by the training stick, signifying a lethal blow.

His right hand allows the chain to drop to his feet the chain pooling twice preparing a strike just in case the boy manages to dodge his attack, and if he continues his assault his legs are tensed along with his right arm wielding the chain...one could guess what will happen to the boy the power of the Uzumaki clan at th ready.

"You have to train harder then the clans first...Dem" He says as he throws the Stick-Kama with deadly precision, the position of his left hand which threw the stick-kama suggests he's used to having a chain attached the actual kama and chain on his hip attesting to this.
If this were a real fight, the boy would be impaled through the stomach and the Uzumaki heir would yank the chain and slice open his stomach knicking a few organs along the way...fatal if not dragged to a hospital for surgery, otherwise it's a slow death of bleeding out as the raw sensitive open wound and organs lay against the cold ground possibly getting an infection.

Good thing this is a simple spar, and that the Uzumaki found a suitable twig to use.

Demetri smiled as he saw the stick flying at him just as he had hoped and heard Arashi's words of training. Just as the stick would hit him in the gut he would exploded into white smoke and a log would appear in place of him as he appeared behind the boy still smiling when he went to kick out the boys legs and if he as successful he would stike his gut with his elbow before striking out at the thoart and jumping back to a safer distance. "Train harder then the clans huh?" He asked as the stick kama came closer to him. "TRY THIS OUT!" he shouted as his plan went into action. Demetri still thought the chains looked dangerous but the only way to beat a long range fighter was to get in close to him....atleast thats what his dad had taught him.

The boy's hands were drawn back for a punch, which would leave him unable to perform said substitution, leave the strike from earlier to hit with enough force to knock the wind out of the boy.

The Uzumaki heir smirks at the sight his chain still at the ready, "In the world of Shinobi hard work always overcomes talent.." He says "Course..I'm rather talented and work hard myself" He shrugs his shoulders his smirk vanishing into his bored expression as he walks to the left his right hand sliding back to grip his book and open it.

"Nice job, bulk up your jutsu repertoire and you'll be quite the opponent in the future."
He says while he begins walking from the clearing his eyes now focused entirely on his book his steps calm as the last signs of mist vanish from the area.

He is unconcerned if the boy is alright or not, he seemed skilled enough to save himself from such a fall most he'd get is a bruise from the small height and a definite bruise from the strike from the stick that signified a fatal blow and would put an end to the spar...it was a welcome boost to the Uzumaki's ego after his run in with his new team mate Koroshi Uchiha...that freaking monster.
