Re: What happened (P, NK, Taro, Vret)

Taro watched in awe as the two other Jounin took care of business-they were quite efficient to say the least. It seemed that Vretyel was more of a physical fighter while Nero on the other hand dealt more with jutsus as apparent when, by some weird jutsu, Nero shot something at the man who was formerly holding the scroll. It was right before Nero delivered the killing blow to the man that Taro yelled out to Vretyel in a rather jovial tone: "See I told you branches could be dangerous." The humor was rather striking, at least to Taro anyway, as it was just earlier that Taro had teased Vretyel about the danger of branches and now a man lay dead upon one. All things considered that had been a fairly easy mission. Taro still had high hopes of making it back to the village before nightfall to get some ramen, which was a rare delicacy that he had not had in a while.
Unfortunately Taro's hopes died with the man Nero had just killed, because as he man lay dead on the ground his blood quickly pooled from the large open gash on his head. The pool of blood grew in size quickly and made it impossible to rescue the scroll that was now drenched in blood. For a few seconds nothing happened, but there was a peculiar silence in which Taro despaired-the scroll was now probably ruined and the group of jounin would have to explain to the Hokage how they had tracked down the thief only to botch the job at the last minute-if only that was all it was.
It was at this point that the scroll released an inordinately large poof of smoke. At first Taro thought that they had somehow missed a missing ninja who had just thrown a smoke bomb down onto their fallen leader, but yet again Taro's assumption was wrong, because inside the smoke he could just make out the form of a truly vicious beast. It was about the size of a male elephant, but had the body and head of a lion, a tail that seemed to be a large snake and finally the most striking feature was that adjoining the lion's head was the head of a goat. Taro now understood; the scroll that had been stolen was some sort of summoning scroll and the blood from the dead man had brought the beast out and unfortunately the beast looked none to happy to be summoned.
The beast was not in the least effected by the pollen that was still lingering in the air. Luckily it seemed that the beast had not noticed the three jounin, because instead of attacking it let out a monstrous roar that shook the very earth. To top it off the lion head opened its mouth and released a blazing stream of fire into the air. It was then that Taro snapped out of the temporary awe-inspired stupor and realized that this could be a very big problem-somehow this beast had to be subdued or who knows what kind of havoc it could cause. With this in mind Taro hoped that his two teammates had the presence of mind to get out of the way as he slammed together the snake hand sign yet again. Only this time instead of growing trees he manipulated the roots of his first tree to attack the chimeric beast.
Alas the roots moved too slowly and the beast saw them coming and reacted accordingly with a speed unfitting of its size by jumping back and in effect crushing a tent that had been near the rear of the camp, but also coming far too close for comfort to Taro. He could smell the sulfuric breath of the beast that was now right in front of him. Taro fought the instinct to run, because he knew there was no way he could out run this beast instead he stay completely still. The monster was oriented in such a way that it was looking back at the the remains of the camp where it had been summoned and where both Nero and Vretyel had been. Taro's only hope now was that those two had escaped from the summoning zone and somehow were preparing to combat the beast, because as it was now Taro could also hear the hissing of the snake like tail just eight feet above him and it was only a matter of time before he was found out.

Re: What happened (P, NK, Taro, Vret)

Vretyel had watched in shock as the arrow from Nero came only inches from Vretyel's face. For a moment Vretyel had thought that Nero was going to act revenge on Vretyel by impaling him with this arrow along with completing the mission along side it. Rather the arrow went for the man holding the scroll, for a moment he stood in shock of the attack and looked back a Nero, the man was truly amazing, just like his clan member, Navi Yamaki. At this point Vreytel only chuckled a bit at Taro's comment about the trees, it was good joke on something that they had discussed earlier, and in his mind Vretyel had thought it out almost exactly the way that it had occurred in reality.
However In his youth Vretyel would do this, had he been older Vretyel would have had the right mind to pick up the scroll immediately before the blood rushed onto it and then looked to Nero and Chuckled at Taro's witty comment, but there was no stopping the blood getting on the scroll. Blood had splattered on the scroll from when Nero impaled him, and if that wasn't enough, it was as though the dead missing ninjas blood was drawn to the power of the scroll, soaking it in matter of moments, when Vretyel was looking back at Nero. When he finally was out of his trance it was too late, the blood had already soaked the scroll and the beast had started to form, the only thing that Vretyel could do was jump. Since he did not know how far the trees had grown, jumping anywhere else would have meant possible disaster for Vretyel. Jumping was the only place he could go and it was the right place to go too.
It appeared that the man holding the scroll was the leader of this camp but also a very good kinjutsu and senjutsu specialist, the scroll was a summoning scroll, and the man had been able to meet the necessary requirements to summon the beast before the three ninja had gotten there. This was the missing ninjas last stand against the leaf village, it was far greater than Vretyel had ever imagined, and if Vretyel, Taro, and Nero were not careful, they could end up dead. The beast, it was massive. It was bigger than even the monkey summons that Senma had talked about could ever be, all of features of the beast reminded him of some terrible science experiment, and Vretyel knew that if they did nothing, they would allow this beast the ability to destroy the leaf village. It was now time for Vretyel to act. Having now landed on top of the beast's back before he breathed his fire Vretyel would use his amazing strength to hold onto the beast's hair in order to not fall off from the beast moving out of the way of Taro's attack. When the beast landed Vretyel used one of his clans ultimate abilities, The Inazumahi advanced lightning atonement jutsu. Lightning chakra would drip from his hands, his feet, and his staff onto the beast, and he would know that Vretyel was on him. Immediately Vretyel would transfer right into his next attack, the Javelin of the Heavens jutsu. If it would worked he would just all of his strength to pierce his staff into the back of the beast, reaching the beasts Vertebrata bones. Along with that once the staff was inside the beast he would have it explode using his Atonement jutsu. Lighting pulses would radiate in and around the beast, Vreytel's chakra inside him. At this point, if all the events that had occurred before this did occur, he would need to find a way to get off of the beast.
He would see that the beast's tail had come close to hitting Vretyel, so he took his staff out of the beast and jumped onto the ground right next to Taro, he would deactivate his atonement jutsu just in case he needed to use it later. He would kneel looked at the beast now looking at the two jounin. Lightning would now be spratically sparking on his hands and feet like a static shock as his entire body would be red from the heat coming off from the jutsu. The beast now stared directly at the two Jounin, and unless something else happened, Vretyel would have to react accordingly by using another Inazumahi jutsu. Using lightning manipulation with his one hand he would amplify the pain receptors of the beast of where Vretyel pierced him with his staff. The intensity of the jutsu would cause the beast to roar in pain, giving Taro, Nero, and Vretyel more time to come up with a strategy to destroy the beast, because even though Vretyel had put a dent in the beast, this massive battle was far from over.

Re: What happened (P, NK, Taro, Vret)

Nero saw that Vretyel didn't or couldn't pick the scroll up from the ground before it contacted the scroll stolen from the Hokage's office which was laying on the ground as well as the man's dead body... Nero was feeling guilty for causing it, he shouldn't have been lazy and he should've reached the man, killing him in a close range to get the scroll unharmed... It was a rookie mistake. The scroll could've been one with important writings on it, and Nero messed up with retrieving it... "I should forget about getting a higher rank then..." he thought as he saw the pile of smoke just then. "Did someone get away ?" he thought as he visualized the situation once again, "Strange... I am pretty sure that there were only four of them... 2 were taken care of by Taro, one was by Vretyel, and I killed the last one myself... Where did the pile of smoke come from ?"...
Nero then saw the head of a giant lion. "Damn..." He thought "It is nearly as big as the last monster I killed... But as I said, I killed it with Navi's help... And Now I have Taro and Vretyeş by my side while I will face this monster...". Then, the whole pile of smoke would be gone, and Nero could now see the whole body of the monster... It was not a giant lion... It was some kind of monster with two heads, a head of a lion (a giant one), and a head of a goat (as big as the lion's head). But what would shock Nero was what he saw next, since a lion with a head of a goat wasn't really that stronger or scarier than a giant lion itself... Its back would have been a blind spot, and one of them could have gotten to face its back to ensure its death while the others kept it busy.
But, then Nero saw the tail of the monster... A snake... He was now a little scared of the monster, though he was still sure the three jounin could've taken care of it without any of them having a serious injury. But this... This changed too much... "So, the scroll was a summoning scroll..." Nero thought "A scroll to summon this... No wonder why they stole this scroll... But now what do we do ? Fight it blindly ?". Luckily, Nero's Blessing of the Wİnd God technique was still active, since that was the technique Nero relied on the most when in a battle... He realised Taro started using his ultimate KKG, manipulating the wood he has created with the jutsu he has previously used. Nero realised the fight has already started, seeing that Vretyel is also attacking the monster in his own way, using a lot of lightning... Nero dashed towards the monster, sending two weak slashes towards its heads to keep it nusy while he got to its back to face the tail, which was a giant snake...
Nero had a plan in his mind. "Now..." he thought "Taro will be keeping the giant busy from that distance with his wood release. And Vretyel is fighting the monster in a close range... I can see I am faster than him, and I believe my clan abilities or my own abilities are better to match up with the snake instead of the two heads.". Nero then saw that Vretyel has opened a wound on the beast. "Now is my time !" he thought as the snake attacked him. With his speed which could at least be compared to that of Navi's, he dodged the snake's move, sending a powerful slash towards it, aiming to slice it from the body of the monster. But it was a snake after all, and it seemed the heads shared their visions since the slash wasn't only dodged by the tail, but the body as well...
Nero realised Vretyel wasn't there anymore. Then he looked at Taro and saw Vretyel next to him... Vretyel then did something that Nero didn't understand and the monster moaned in pain. Nero took the advantage and sent multiple slashes of wind towards the tail, and the body of the monster. All of them hit by they caused mere wounds instead of slicing the tail. Nero, seeing the situation, made his way back to the place the other two were standing, and after putting his hands together and concentrating, he created a giant half-sphere of wind rotating around the monster.
That would have caused the monster to not be able to get out of the sphere Nero created for some time. "We don't have too much time to come up with a strategy !" said Nero, whose mask was still covering his nose and mouth, "We should come up with a strategy soon... I can keep him like this for some time, but even though it won't be getting out, we won't be getting anything inside either... So ?". Nero then thought about Taro... He actually relied on Taro more then he relied on Vretyel for the time being, since when the beast was out of the sphere, he had more chance to do something to cause the monster to be bound, which would leave enough openings for the other two to take him down. He continued talking, "Taro ? What can you do to bind the monster once I let it free from the sphere ? Please tell me you can hold it with your wood release... And Vretyel ? Get ready, you'll be the one to make the first strike, after it is bound, and probably during the slight opening between me releasing the sphere and Taro bounding the monster, if he will."... Nero would wait for the other two come up with something, or at least answer him, since he couldn't be holding the beast for a long time.

Re: What happened (P, NK, Taro, Vret)
Mon Nov 12, 2012 6:15 pm
It was as Taro watched his comrades combat the beast that it hit him-this monster was going to be impossible to take down by himself. Success in this battle would depend on teamwork. And as if to prove his thoughts Vretyel's shocking attack seemed to be shrugged off as if it were nothing even though it was apparent that Vretyel had enough strength and skill to take the beast on. But Vretyel couldnt seem to pin him down as apparent when Vretyel was forced to jump down off the back of the beast. Vretyel landed next to Taro, but now the the beast was staring down the two Jounin and Taro doubted they would both be able to escape were the monster to attack in any way. He could smell the rot of death on the monsters breath as it let out thin smoky breath. Despite the horror of the situation Taro could not help admiring the beast. The creature had the blood splattered golden mane of a lion that gave it an almost majestic presence-in fact Taro could have admired it for quite a while were it not preparing to kill both him and Vretyel with a simple stream of fire.
Luckily in the nick of time Vretyel used some weird lighting jutsu that made the beast writhe in pain and in that same moment of pain the beast was attacked by Nero with a couple slashes of what Taro now noticed was the very wind itself-impressive to say the least. Though the attacks effects were negligible as apparent by the beast merely shrugging off the attack yet again and being only slightly wounded. This thing was a juggernaut of epic proportions. It reminded him of a similar monster he had encountered while on the country borders as a missing ninja. The monster he had faced on the borders was also the result of a Kinjustu user, only he was rather dim witted, which made Taro's victory all the easier. Granted that other monster he had faced had not been nearly as large as this one nor as bloodthirsty, but Taro was pretty sure it would come down to the same basic strategy: he would have to pin it down while the others took the creature on. So, when Nero jumped down next to him and inquired about a strategy Taro did not hesitate in agreeing with his well thought out plan-after all it was exactly what Taro had been thinking of.
Normally he would have been in awe of the large wind dome that now enclosed the chimerical beast, but for now Taro just went with it and made the snake hand seal yet again while he yelled over the noise of the rotating wind to both Vretyel and Nero: "Yeah I can keep it bound just keep him restrained for now-it will take a bit to get everything into position. And then Vretyel can go in for the kill." Taro knew his wood release would be able to hold, he had yet to see anything that could grapple with it and come out on top, the only issue would be catching the monster, which now, thanks to Nero, would not be a problem. Holding the snake seal Taro moved three large roots into position around the wind dome that now held the monster.
Once Nero, assuming he did, took down the wind dome then the roots would instantly move into bind the beast, which now that they were at close range would be able to easily catch the beast-especailly considering the fact that the beast would no doubt be disoriented from Nero's attack. The first large root would loop over the beasts two main heads, the lion and goat. The second and largest root would loop over the midsection of the monster and into the ground on the other side it came out of and in effect bringing the beast to its knees as the root would slowly exerted its unyielding strength to the beast. And finally the third branch would loop around and restrain the creatures snake tail. Assuming all went as planned the monster would be completely incapacitated and unable to move and be in the perfect position for Vretyel to deliver the final blow or blows as the case may be. The only downside to this attack was that Taro would have to remain still as he had to remain in control of the roots as were one of them to come loose it could mean the death of anyone of his teammates including himself.

Vretyel watched in awe as Nero and Taro had taken also done major damage to the beast, although the beast looked scary and large, the three ninja made it look easy, and now it was only a matter of time before the three were able to take the beast down. After Vretyel had slowed the beast using three of his most powerful jutsu, Nero was first able to use wind to guide around the beast and give it several gashes, all of which would have killed any normal human, but instead just made the beast scream out in pain with its blood dripping from the many wounds that had been made by the attack. Not only that but he was also able to subdue the beast while the three ninja would come up with a strategy to destroy him. He had used another wind jutsu that was somewhat new to what Vretyel had ever seen come out of Nero, it showed that he massive control over how the wind element worked, and it showed that even without the use of weapons he could kill many ninja easily with just his hands. It was impressive to say the least, as Vretyel was only able to thrive in hand to hand combat using his clan jutsu and the abilities he had with his strength. While that was going on Taro, the great Senju ninja had made trees to subdue the beast even more after Nero had stopped. To make trees of that size and power so easily had shown that he had vast knowledge and control over his clan and his clans element, and it made Vretyel wonder if one day Taro’s ability would be able to rival those the first Hokage long ago. Not only that, but Taro had shown by his willingness to use large amounts of chakra and great Senju wood abilities against the beast showed that he did not want the beast to destroy the village, meaning that his allegiance then would be to the leaf and not to missing ninja. Vretyel was that much closer to trusting the man, and it showed that maybe one day, he could soften his hatred to missing ninja and respect some of them who had returned to the leaf. But now the beast was beginning to be secured and it was time for Vretyel to get back onto the beast and begin the process of taking it down.
Had the events of Nero and Taro occurred then it would be easy for Vretyel to land another hit on the beast, possibly killing the thing without much issue at all. Vretyel would have to wait until the beast was secured by Taro’s trees before he could get onto one the heads of the beast. Had Taro’s plan worked Vretyel would jump to the beast’s lion head the moment it was on the ground. He would have his lighting staff still charged from the Lightning Atonement jutsu from earlier, so when Vretyel got close to the lions head Vretyel would prepare for a second Javelin of the heavens jutsu. He would aim his staff so that when Vretyel landed on the beasts head the javelin would go straight into the lion’s brain, right between the eyes. Had this worked Vretyel would have impaled the brain and skull of the beast with his staff, killing the lion’s head. Blood was dripping from the point of impalement, only to be burned as it touched the staff of Vreytel. For added effect Vretyel would then grab onto his staff again, and as he was picking it up he would have one of the conductors of the staff explode, so that now the entire beast that was still functioning would be even more paralyzed. Vretyel had done his part to killing the beast, however there was a lot more to do, and Vretyel would not be able to kill the beast now. The goat head of the beast would seem almost unfazed by the death of its lion counterpart and would try to swallow Vretyel whole. Vretyel would have no time to get his staff out and kill the beast, what was worse the staff that Vretyel was using was too embedded into the head of the lion so that the entire staff would not be able to come out. Vretyel would have to resort to only taking out half of its staff, so in a last split second decision Vretyel took half of his Bo Staff out of the beast and jump backed to where Taro was at, that would mean that either Nero or Taro would have deal the finishing blow to the beast.

Nero, hardly maintaining the sphere around the beast was glad at Taro answered him in a short time, "Yeah I can keep it bound just keep him restrained for now-it will take a
bit to get everything into position. And then Vretyel can go in for the
kill.". Nero smiled at Taro, and waited for Taro to get everything into position. Nero watched as three large roots of the tree Taro has created when they first reached the camp went around the sphere. After realising everything was in position, assuming that from the roots stopping to move, probably because Taro waiting for Nero to let go of the technique, Nero did as he planned and the sphere has ceased to be after some mere seconds. The roots, fast as before, reached to the monster. The monster tried to fight back to the giant roots, its head biting some wood, and his claws trying to cut some, but it was too late... The roots, the wood has already covered the giant beast's body enough for it to stop moving, and leave an opening to Vret to do the final blow... Nero, feeling a little tired for using the BWG, sat down to the ground to watch Vret doing his work.
Nero watched as Vretyel jumped to the lion head of the beast just as it fell down to the ground. Vret's staff then pierced through the lion head of the beast. The lion head seemed dead, but Nero realized it didn't effect the Goat head at all. Nero realised that then the goat head, which was still alive, tried to attack Vretyel who was standing on the dead head. Then he saw Vret trying to take his staff from it, but couldn't "No..." he thought "He is going to...". But luckily, it didn't happen as Vret took half of the staff, returning where the other two were... Nero realised that Vret wasn't going to do the final blow... And Taro was needed to hold the beast down... Nero decided to go for the final blow to kill the beast. As he ran towards the giant with his advanced speed, he thought what would be the ending blow... He knew that weak blows or slashes wouldn't kill the beast, nor would an arrow, which killed the man who held the scroll to summon the beast... So, Nero, using a deadly combo, activated his Raven Style, the bloodline ability that he has been granted by, because of being a part of the Yamaki clan...
At this point, wings shifted from the back of Nero as his whole body got covered in chakra. Nero lifted from the ground, flying towards the beast with still as fast as before, got up to a point he was meters up in the sky, just on top of where the goat head was, as he then started flying down, towards the mentioned head, as he also (using his Blessing of the Wind God technique) stated turning around himself and taking the shape and strength of a drill. His fast was more than twice the ANBU member clansmate of Nero, Navi's speed, which was pretty advanced, even for the fastest pepole in Konoha. He pierced through the goat head in mere seconds, entering from the top and going out from the bottom, as he drilled the earth a little to soften his fall. He was now standing in a hole, being filled by the blood coming out of the goat head of the monster, that the three have just killed... "No..." thought Nero as he visualized the situation once again "The goat head didn't get effected by the lion head's death... And there is a third head... The snake... It probably didn't die even though we killed the two heads...
Nero, with his Raven style still active, flew out of the hole, through the dead goat head, as it was now on the top of the monster. He now started creating thin chakra around him rotating in a shaped of a very thin disk. Nero, using his wind manipulation, gifted to him by the BWG, heightened the disk, and then threw that towards the part where the snake head and the body of the whole beast were bound together. The snake tried to attack Nero, but instead it was cut off from the body of the beast. Then Nero realised something that frightened him... The snake was still very much alive... It fell down, causing Nero to easily dodge his last attack, but it was still alive... "I have to hit it in the head ? Well, that is going to be harder then hitting the other head..." Nero thought, since the snake's head was a lot smaller, and the snake was faster and more flexible then the rest of the monster. The snake once again "jumped" towards Nero, trying to bite him once again. (if it could, it would've had the top half of Nero in his mouth, blood spilling out of the bottom part as it fell down) Nero, instead of dodging the move, sent a strong slash of wind towards the open mouth of the giant snake... The snake would be pierced into two after a short time. Nero looking at the two parts of the snake, the lion with the hole in its head, the goat head completely missing a huge part in his head, and hi,s own body covered fully in blood, which was caused by the goat head, thought that it has been a messy battle in the end, at least for him...
Nero then went straight to the lion head. He checked how the staff got stuck in... He tried to pull the staff back, but it seemed Nero wasn't stronger than Vretyel... He created some arrows from the wind, and sent them straight through the lion head, opening some holes around the staff to pull it out easier. After 3 arrows, Nero pulled the remaining half of the staff from the dead monster's head... One of them... He, deactivating his BWG, then headed straight back to where Taro and Vretyel were standing... His red eyes were shining, matching the color of the blood that was now covering his whole body... "Well, that was messy, huh ?" told Nero when he was close enough for the other two jounin to hear him. When he reached near them, Nero threw himself to the ground, face-down... "Give me some time... I just got out of a giant goat head"...
