Nine and Five.

He allows her to lean against him, and in true Konoha Shinobi fashion..he returns the gesture by leaning against her his cheek laying against the top of her head gently..
A show that they both need someone to comfort them every so often, no Konoha Shinobi ever fights alone, the importance of the gesture may not be known to the girl as a Shinobi...but as a human it says much of the same..it says that this person is here for you.

He closes his eyes as well, deciding to merely allow the girl to take all of the warmth and comfort his frame can give.
Echo Uchiha was once described as a coward, a boy who would lie, cheat, play possum and run away in order to win a confrontation...but one thing Echo prides himself on is never abandoning a friend in need...Minorin currently counts as Echo's friend.

She feels him lean against her, his cheek on the top of her head. She squeezes his hand tighter. Being together like this felt nice, and so warm. The small girl closed her eyes as the two sat there together.

This boy known as Echo is just the kind of person she feels comfortable being around. She’d like to see him again no doubt. But before that, she’d like to enjoy today with him too.

“Thank you.” She didn’t know if she was supposed to say something like that at such a time, or if she should say anything at all. But she’d already said it now.

Then she heard footsteps approaching the table, the small girl slightly lifting her head and allowing her eyes to open in order to see who might be approaching the table.

He smiles at her words, he answers softly in a voice barely above a whisper the voice only meant for her at the moment so the person approaching couldn't hear "Anytime, Milady." he speaks before allowing her to part from him and glancing towards the waiter bringing them their food and beverages.

Quite a bit of food actually...good thing he's bringing in ANBU Pay, oh yeah! Echo Uchiha...High roller~!
He grins towards the waiter and nods his thanks before glancing towards his..well technically it can be considered a date right? "Shall we?" He asks gesturing towards the food.

She looks at Echo as they separate, thankful that he’d been quiet, especially since he’d called her such an embarrassing name again too – even though she was slowly becoming accustomed to being called it.

She watched as the waiter approached, setting down the drinks and food. Her eyes widening at how much food there really was. The waiter left right after he set the food down. She glanced over at Echo, thinking that she would have to help pay for it somehow, she couldn’t just let someone pay for all that if she was going to be eating too.

She smiles back and nods as the boy glances over to her and speaks, “Sure.”

He gives a small chuckle and with a casual pluck from the platter his left hands index finger and thumb pinching the tooth pick holding a slice of veal he takes a bite his eyes closing as he savors the taste of the meat..a small purr of content erupts from the back of his throat...definitely the Kyuubi's influence...

His cheeks color at that, but he appears to be attempting to ignore it..as if he doesn't hear it...

And he silently hopes the girl didn't hear that either...he's beating up that Fox later if it's the last thing he does!

As Minorin sips on her drink she notices a soft purr erupting from the boy sitting next to her. She glances over at the boy, noticing a soft blush appearing on Echo’s cheeks. Although it seems like he’s ignoring his own purring. She smiles, softly giggling on the inside as she sets her drink down. Part of her would like to tease him like he did to her, but she would refrain. It’d been really cute, his purring.

She plucked a piece of crabmeat from the platter, carefully holding the toothpick as she placed the crabmeat it in her mouth. Letting out an “Mmmmm!” as she did so, hopefully making such a loud noise would help the boy be distracted from his purring.

He swallows finally at the girls outburst, he gives a smile figuring it was to distract him from his own small...outburst..That was pretty mortifying..he will have to find a way to control himself a bit better.
His smile still in place his right hand picks up his glass and takes a small sip.

..That and her reaction is pretty cute, a small grin forms at the thought still happy to be sharing a meal with the girl beside him.

Minorin notices Echo smile, causing her to actually giggle a bit after swallowing her food. It tasted really good. She’d never tasted anything like it before. She’d definitely try to imitate such a dish later on.

Sharing a meal with Echo was pretty fun.

She wondered why he’d seemed to purr without meaning to. But she could ask that some other time, right now would probably be much too embarrassing for him. Minorin smiled picking another piece of meat from the platter.

Echo joins her in enjoying the meal set out before them, eating slowly, not like most Shinobi who are merely eager that they get to eat any meal..Echo's lifestyle now and lifestyle in his past urges him to enjoy the finer things like this.
He chuckles softly at her giggle "Would it be improper of me to call you cute Milady?" He comments simply glancing at her with his grin still in place.
The Vulpine grin that is becoming a trademark of Echo Uchiha, he's always had that..even before the Kyuubi was sealed into him.

She’d heard Echo laugh, but when he questioned her she nearly choked – on air of course. She was glad she hadn’t placed a piece of veal that she had plucked from the platter in her mouth yet, that would’ve been gross.

Her cheeks turned deep red, the name and the word cute had been said to her. It could be a fatal blow to the small young girl! She turned her face towards the boy, brow furrowing, “I’d say so, but if you insist I’ll be forced to call you a name too.” She would then use her left hand to smooth her long ivory hair behind her ear before taking a sip of her drink in an attempt to calm herself down.
