Nine and Five.

He chuckles softly and hands the man his Menu an act which is mirrored by the girl at his side, the waiter walks away and Echo leans back against the backrest with a content smile on his face.
"So, how is Tengakure after the whole treaty??" He asks simply he knew it was a strange city before but he never really visited...come to think of it he's never been to Kiri either....eyuhh...that's kind of a sad thought...Viper's rage at his Family being harmed caused quite the mess...his own rage in Suna also caused a bit of a mess...but at least he left the village standing.

The girl stares at Echo for a moment, the waiter had left and now Echo was asking about some kind of treaty. She didn’t know of any treaty.

“What treaty?” Her tone was curious and her eyes were wide, such curiosity even caused her blush to fade away. It must be something between just Konoha and Tengakure, but she’d only just joined the village. Whatever it was it hadn’t happened over the past few days.

He blinks at the question..how curious "Well, why do you think I walked right in without much of a problem??" He states simply....ignoring the fact that they probably had no idea who he was and he never actually wears his Konoha headband or gear that could set him up as being from Konoha.

"The war is over, the Fire Nation is back to just the Fire country and all the villages are independent once more." He states a small smile forming "Peace..." He states as a small whisper "...You aren't originally from Tenga then?" He asks curiously.

She blinked at him, he was from Konoha, and Sky and Fire didn’t get along at all. But he hadn’t looked to be from Konoha. Then the part came that really surprised her.

The war was over. She hadn’t even realized it.

She knew that now Kirigakure was gone, but now she was finding out that the war was over too. Was it over because Kirigakure was no more?

Minorin stared at him for a while, unsure as to how she should respond to his question. What should she do? If Konoha had to do with Kirigakure’s destruction should she do anything about it? And if she was supposed to do something what should she do?

She decided she’d at least tell him she wasn’t from Tengakure, but she wasn’t sure if she could tell him where she was really from.

“I’ve only been a part of Tengakure for a couple days, almost a week…”

She smiled softly, not letting her concern show.

He watches her reactions carefully, he also notes her avoiding the subject by partially answering his question and nods once in understanding "Well! It's nice right?" He asks simply a wide grin coming on his face as he's obviously planning on quickly changing the subject..no need for the girl to talk about something she doesn't want too.

Echo knows all about that after all, and he didn't wanna talk about his trauma for a long time..

She smiles wider, “Oh yes, it’s really nice. It’s got that steam power and stuff, it’s just very different.”

She knew Echo was changing the subject, and she appreciated it. But maybe she could tell him. He’s told her about his stuff after all. And he seemed kind. The war was apparently over, so there shouldn’t be any problems with her talking about her home.

She sighed, trying to stay upbeat, “Tengakure is just very sunny compared to Kirigakure.”

She’d spoken almost in a whisper. It was only where she was from. It wasn’t like it was too big of a deal, that’s what she kept telling herself.

Echo's eyes close and he winces at her..admittance to being from Kiri originally..
He sighs softly his left hand softly being placed against her shoulder in what he hopes is a reassuring gesture "I'm..." Sorry? Sorry wouldn't do any real good... "I'm sure it was.." He says instead giving the girl a small smile that he hopes conveys how sorry he really is...that girl who was once again out somewhere she shouldn't have been caused the destruction of an entire Village at the hands of Volcano...

Yeah he's gonna paddle her ass later, just for the sake of making her feel like the little brat she is.

"Do...Do you wanna talk about it?" He asks his tone filled with worry, she made it seem so easy speaking about his problems..he was speaking before he even realized he was...he was also crying in her arms..

She listens to him as he tries to speak to her, watching his face closely as he places his hand on her pale shoulder. She hoped she wasn’t causing him any trouble by telling him. Then he smiled at her, such a tiny smile.

And then words came out, asking her if she wanted to talk about it. He was such a kind person. She smiled up at Echo, her brow slightly furrowing as she thought. She didn’t know what she should say, or if there was anything to say. She almost felt like she wasn’t allowed to care, since she hadn’t even been around when Kirigakure had been attacked.

“I think I might like to talk about it sometime. Once I actually know what I want to say. Right now there really isn’t much I can say, except maybe that missing people can be hard.” She didn’t feel like she was going to cry, but a small lump forced its way to her throat at that last part.

She couldn’t allow herself to really cry yet, not until she went back to see what had happened for herself. For now she'd keep smiling though, a little soft smile.

He listens to her words carefully and with another nod he accepts her answer giving her shoulder a soft squeeze, a reassuring gesture that he's right here with her...she's already given him something no one else has he'd be a fool to not return the favor.
He wants to pull her into a hug, but he thinks the girl would find that awkward instead of finding the reassurance that he found in it...at least her reactions to him merely calling her cute are a slight indication of such a thing...and well he's close enough that if she did want a hug..he'd give her one.

She feels him squeeze her shoulder and she can’t help but bring her hand up to squeeze his hand, a gesture of gratitude as she slowly lowers her head, resting her forehead on Echo’s shoulder.

Normally she’d be blushing so hard her cheeks would probably burst into flames. But it felt nice to have someone there for her. Someone who really seemed to care despite just meeting her. Maybe that was why her blush decided not to burst forth with so much force as she sat there, because it was just as surprised and grateful as she was.

But being here and resting her forehead on him made her feel bad, he’d had a hard life and here she was, displaying weakness in front of him and her life had been a piece of cake. A piece of cake with a little sour part mixed in. It was just one event. One bad thing, maybe it was considered big, but it wasn’t something that she’d had to deal with every day like Echo had to do.
