Jason blocked all of these attacks with ease and dodged them as well. unfortunatley, he got hit by the last attack and felt the ground under him and koaru to give away and crack a bit. " so that's how you want this, huh? well, two can play that game. " Jason swung his right fist towards koaru's jaw. should the attack hit, then Jason would follow up with a combo of punches and kicks to return the favor to koaru. the combo would end with a spinning jump kick aimed towards koaru's face and leave him stunned. should the attacks miss, then Jason would jump backwards 5 meters and await for koaru's next assault.

Koaru was still in mid air when Jason delivered a right hook to his jaw. Koaru took the hit and flew backwards. Koaru landed on his feet, skidding to a stop on the ground. More attacks were coming his way: a series of punches and kicks were coming for him all at once. Koaru could see them all clearly, and dodged each of them fluently, and even occasionally blocked a hit or two. With both hands occupied by blocking a punch, Jason's spinning jump kick caught Koaru in the throat. Koaru winced in pain as he hit the ground hard. He coughed as he got to his feet, facing Jason once more. He would still be able to go a few more rounds...or so he thought. The pain in his throat was too great. Koaru put one hand over his throat as he tried to look at Jason. He saw that he had retreated about 5 meters away from him, giving Koaru some time to recover from the stunning kick.

"hey! you ok? you look pretty blue... should we stop and rest again? you don't look alright..." Jason asked with worry in his voice. "i didn't mean to hit you at the throat. i'm so sorry for that." Jason apologized while walking towards koaru.

"Heh. Not a chance!" Koaru said as he weaved hand signs. He inhaled with all his might as he studied Jason's position. Koaru exhaled a spear of wind. The cylindrical burst of wind was headed straight for Jason. Because of the properties of the technique, Koaru knew that Jason would have trouble seeing the spear that was heading for him. From jason's perspective. He would only see Koaru weaving hand signs with no action following afterward. Because of this, Koaru directed the attack so that it would graze Jason's right torso. Jason stopped and made a hand seal and his chest began to glow. a barrier expanded from Jason at a 15 meter radius and a few seals appeared on the ground. the attack that koaru made fizzled out into existence and the wind just brushed past Jason's skin. Koaru could feel a change in the air as Jason's chest began to glow with text imprinted on it. Jason smiled and laughed loudly. "it works! it actually works! month of hard work, and it finally works! yohoo!" Jason jumped up in the air. Jason landed on the ground and pointed to koaru. "your jutsus won't work on me anymore, koaru. so yeah." Jason chuckled while he was looking at koaru's face.

Koaru gasped in amazement. He had no idea Jason still had something like this up his sleeve. Koaru began to run toward the barrier as he drew his ninjato. He began to analyze the properties of the barrier. He thought to himself, 'My ninjutsu did not work...so what about taijutsu?' Koaru stopped running when he was just inches away from the large barrier that surrounded Jason. Koaru gingerly lifted his blade. He tried to stab the barrier, almost making it look like a poke. Koaru was glad to see that his sword passed through the barrier unaffected. Koaru gave Jason a dark grin. 'Ahha! so physical attacks will still work!' he continued to think. Koaru pointed his ninjato at Jason, now. He took two steps toward Jason so that he was now standing completely within the barrier. Koaru was intrigued by this barrier. Could he use his ninjutsu attacks while within the barrier? What are the other effects of the technique. Koaru intended to find out starting now.

Jason took out his katana and swung it with the flat side at Koaru's left thigh. should the attack hit, then Koaru would stumble in pain. should the swing miss then Jason would block any incoming attacks. He would kick Jason's sword hand attempting to kick the sword right out of his hand. If the kick worked, the sword would spin multiple times before landing tip first in the ground 2 meters away from where they were fighting. Koaru would say "Bring it on," challenging Jason. He followed up by jumping up over Jason's head. Koaru would rain down with ninjato slices to the head. These could be dodged by ducking, simply die to the ninjato's short length. After the assault was over, Koaru would land on the ground on the other side of Jason from where he started off. Koaru would then bend low to the ground and sweep at Jason's legs from behind. Whether this sweep hit or missed, Koaru would turn around fully to face Jason in a crouching position, his ninjato blade ready to launch another attack or defend its owner from one.

Jason got hit by the kick at his hand that attempted to knock his sword off. Jason held the handle strong enough for it to only glide a bit because of hand sweat. Jason then ducked under the ninjato attacks from above and then let himself get hit by the sweeping leg and kicked koaru at the face with his right foot as he fell down. Jason then got up quickly and jabbed the handle at koaru's stomach and uppercuted with his left hand at koaru's face. Jason then jumped backwards for 4 feet and prepared himself for koaru's next attack.

After Koaru's swept landed, Koaru jumped into the air once more, directly over Jason by about 1 meter. By the time Jason made contact with the ground after falling from the sweep, Koaru was already descending from the height of his jump. Koaru gripped the handle of his ninjato with both hands, the blade pointing straight for Jason's stomach. Jason's attempt to kick Koaru while falling missed as a result of the jump. Jason seemed to be trying to get up. Would Jason continue to attack, or would change his efforts to block or evade the risk of impalement by Koaru's ninjato.
