Taking a turn in the snow (Open to all Yuki nin)

{Maku said I would now be after him in the order of posts}


Breaking eye contact after receiving the glare from the leader Maku, Daiyuki took the opportunity to apologize to Kira the person described as Maku’s friend. Taking heed to her stern chastisement of his actions earlier, “duly noted” Daiyuki responded whilst sucking his teeth in dismay.
 
“I meant no disrespect, I was just so absorb with your scent that I had to approach quickly and abrasively before it was drowned out” Daiyuki retort as Maku’s stern voice pierced his ears.
 
Nonetheless upon the introduction of the person known as Kanae, Daiyuki took a huge inhalation of the air through his nose and exhaled with a sense of calm.
 

“Fortunately, I’ve met this girl before she has such a tranquil scent" he reveled to the group being cautious not to offend her.

(So I screwed up the post order so here is the post order from here on out.

It seemed that Maku had a lot of good advice to offer. Kanae made a note in her head to perhaps speak with him again after she passed her exams. Yes, it was probably a good idea to glean as much experience from the three she had met so far.... Maku and Kiranomo seemed friendly enough, but Youka was a mystery. What were his true motives? Kanae didn't want to pry, but she just didn't have a good feeling about him. She then caught sight of that wolf boy from before. Daiyuki, was it? Huh, catching the scent of others... he was a wolf, alright. Well, he didn't seem too awfully harmful, so she supposed it was alright for him to be there.

She nodded to Daiyuki. "Um... thank you?" She then turned to Kiranomo, and spoke up. "So... what are we doing here?"

She scoffed, though her action was fairly quiet and subtle. Catch my scent, she thought to herself. One does not catch the scent of a savar suit wearer. He is soo full of... Her thoughts were momentarily paused by maku's words both vocally and then in her mind.

~I...I'm sorry. I geuss I'm still a little shook up from our spar.~ it had been the first time she had been forced to pass out by any means other then exertion, and the trip to the hospital as t heels as se was having the dreams again. Sleep didn't come for the girl who watched her past behind closed eyes. The beating youka had given her ripped her back to the memories of lying bloodied on the ground like a violent blade cutting through her resolve and it was starting to show.

Kira put on her best smile for the boy, she didn't really like him but he was one of maku's so she would never let him know that. "You're find. I'm just a bit skittish. Always have been... I'm sorry for my overreaction." Though her voice was pleasant and her smile radiated forgiveness the shadows didn't seem to move, though it would probably seem to the outside world as a mistake in having been caught up in the convorsation and simply not realized they were still there, keeping distance between herself and this new boy.

Yea Maku was a bit shook up after that spar as well.  The question who could beat whom between himself and Youka still had yet to be answered.  Sometime soon, they were going to have to fight, just the two of them.  It would be an interesting one, perhaps Maku would even use his full powers which he had not used in a very very long time.  In fact, he had never been in a fight were he had to go all out and use his genjutsu.  At least not yet.

"Its fine"  He said over the choker so only Kira could hear.  Since she had also neglected Kanae's question, he figured he might as well answer.  "Well Kanae dear, I decided to take a stroll around the village, to get to know everyone around here, and hopefully meet some of my ninja.  Which I am getting to do now.  So all in all a succesffull mission wouldn't you say?"  He would say smiling at her.  Looking at the three people around him, he realized they were blocking traffic just standing in the midle of the road not doing anything.

"Well Kanae, Kira here was about escort me through the village, I need all the protection I can get, you see."  as he had done with Kira, Maku held out his arm to Kanae, as if for him to escort her like a gentleman would.  "Would you care to escort me, and why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself."  If she accepted then he would begin walking with her, and Kira through the village, hoping to hear about the girls past.

Not forgetting about Daiyuki, he looked behind and spoke to the man  "If you would like to come you can Daiyuki, it's good for everyone to know each other, and you can watch my back"  Maku would say still smilling.

Kanae's timidly and uncertain response to Daiyuki’s comment had caused a bit of dismay in his mind.  However with the rebuking gesture he’d received from Kira had further confirmed present thought in his mind that he felt didn’t belong here.  Generally from time to time in the past when he was smaller and his parents were still alive the villagers had loved his feral attitude.  The savage murder of his parent had changed this, causing his attitude to be more abrasive than normal.
 

Nonetheless Daiyuki turning his attention to the leader pondered the invite to follow him. “Sure if you command me to follow you then it is my will to serve you” he would say looking down away from Maku’s inviting smile to the scar on his right hand. That scar had meant more to him that the smile preceding from his leader’s face, it was to symbolize the pact they made in which Daiyuki would serve Maku without opposition till he was strong enough to take his life.

Kanae seriously doubted that Maku actually needed protection, and didn't trust Daiyuki enough to believe that Maku was having them there purely for escort... no, there was more to it than that. And besides, why would Maku ask for help from a lowly academy student? Hmm... obviously, he wanted information out of her, but what else? Well, she would have to see. If he was assessing her for power, he wouldn't find much...

As she walked with them, the short runt between Kiranomo and Maku, she would choose not to relate much of her past. She had her own reasons, as was expected. "Well... I'm just an academy student. I lived with my parents until a few years ago, but then we were.... separated." These were no lies, so was she safe?

She walked with them, following  beside maku with just enough room for the young girl to follow between them. She enjoyed the child's company. She had the same personality it seemed that she did, or at least had so long ago. Why was it that she was slowly losing pieces of who she was? Was it the power? Maybe it was the pain. Something about who she was felt different. It felt wrong but in an almost natural way. 


     "Kira....Stop thinking about it. Enjoy the people of this village. The small girl looks up to you and it's your job to prove yourself to her as she tries to prove herself to you. " Selenes words were unwanted but helpful. She knew she was right, and maybe one day Kira would take them to heart.



     Even lost in thought she kept an eye on the strange wolf boy. Perhaps he was simply socially awkward, she thought. Either way she would ensure that nothing negative came from the situation and defend the people she cared for with her life.

Mmmm, Maku thought that the small girl was hiding something.  However each person had the right to hide their past for a time if they wanted to.  It took a while before Maku started using his real appearance and name after all, though in all honesty he didn't have anything to hide.

"Well I am sorry to here that you and your parents are separated.  My dad died a while ago now, and I actually ended up killing my mother,"  He looked up contemplatively, "admittedly, she tried to kill me first though."  They continued to walk, and passed a store that sold flowers.  What a rare sight in such a winter oppressed land.  Walking up he purchased three roses.  One white, one black, and one red. 

Walking back to his two female friends, he handed Kanae the red rose, and Kira the Black and white.  The symbolic meaning to Kira was not lost on him, as it had guided his hand in the purchase.  He stared at them, hoping they would be pleased.  "Sorry Kanae, Ive known Kira longer so she gets an extra"  He said with a wink.

The walk made Daiyuki forget about the looming idea if him losing his mother and father, in fact walking with Maku and Kira with the addition of Kanae it more or less promoted the idea of a family. It was this warming feeling in him that he had not felt in what felt like centuries seemed to draw tears to his eyes, furthermore the passing by the flower shop would further affirm this feeling.  However it feral nature would not allow such an empathic to last, in that instance as the tears rolled of his face an hit the snow he took another obnoxious whiff of the air. Daiyuki had not spoken the whole after confirming his service to walk with Maku; surely the leader’s company would find this to be strange.
