Taking a turn in the snow (Open to all Yuki nin)

"Of course, Maku." 

Kanae took the rose in her hand. Rare indeed.... she held it in her hand.... a rose reminded her of the flowers outside the gang shed's window when she had been......

She blocked out thoughts like that. Now was not the time for that sort of thinking. She noticed that the wolf boy had been following them without a word. Daiyuki, his name was. That was a good name, for a wolf who lived in the snow. Kanae didn't want to make him feel left out... he was probably socially awkward already, sniffing around like a wild animal. Kanae took a petal from the rose, and pressed it into the wolf-boy's hand. 

"P-please.... take this..." Her head would be turned slightly away to her left and down, avoiding direct eye contact. This was also a failed attempt to hide her blushing cheeks. Hopefully, he found the aroma of the petal to be attractive...

She took the roses, one in each hand and placed them behind her left ear, staggered slightly and one on top of each other. It was amazing to her how a Rogue ninja could go from nobody traveling with youka to the powerful but kinda leader 

      "These are beautiful Maku thank you...But....."She took the black rose from her ear carefully, and turned to kanae. Unless someone stopped her she would pull Kanae's har out from in front of the girl's hair lightly and slide the rose behind Kanae's right ear. 

     "perfect. One from Maku, and one from me. and they look and smell simply delightful."

Maku watched as Kira gave the small girl a rose and smiled.  She was always so friendly and nice, it was one of the things he loved about Kira.  Looking around, he actually had a question for her.  "How long do you plan to stay in Yukigakure Kira?"  He had been wondering about it for some time.  He knew Selene wanted him to keep her from Amegakure, and he still wasn't sure what he could do to stop her if she push to go.  He would have to contemplate on that subject more.

The exchange between Daiyuki and Kanae was not lost on him.  He was glad to see them getting along, to trying to since they most likely would wind up on a team together.  One that he could possibly lead, with the lack of available chunin in the village.

Daiyuki had not taking any interest in Kira or Maku during the walk; he was more or less infatuated with the girl Kira had brought. Truth being he was captivated with her scent.  As the girl offered him the petal Daiyuki snatched it from her like a savage. “Thank you!” he said excitingly.
 
Hoping the two authority figures of the group were consumed with their menial conversation he has taken this opportunity to remove to remove the kunai that his still blood stained from his pact with Maku from it scabbard, he then proceeded to remove a quarter of an inch of hair from his florescent purple and black shoulder width hair.
 

Daiyuki wouldn’t stop here, he would then proceed to remove his yukikagure headband, intertwine both item then place them in the center of the headband before placing on his left arm.  “Now were pack mates” he said as completely this ritualistic like affirmation of what he would consider his “pack”.  “Looks like Yukigakure is heating up!” he thought to himself as he continued to walk.

Er..... pack mates? Kiranomo thought about the word "mate". Did that mean friend? Was it something like a sibling bond? She honestly hoped so, that would be a nice change of pace. It was really... comforting to finally have friends like this. A kindly leader, an understanding mentor, and a "pack mate". 

Kanae's mind turned to the word "mating". Oh no... was THAT was he wanted? He didn't seem like that kind of guy. Sure, he was socially awkward, but he didn't seem to desire her body... she had a flashback just then, of her stepfather.

"Come on, take it all off."

She breathed in slowly, trying to shake the memory and the trauma that came with it. Shakily, she turned to Maku and Kiranomo. "Kira-san.... you're leaving?"

"Oh. Well I'm sure i'll stay for a few more days. I want to make sure you're ninja are set up and train with them a little before I.." She stopped the moment the petals were snatched from Kanae's hand. She moved directly to Kanae's side, just a little before her with a nervous look on her face. When he drew the kunai Her Shadows once more rose up, this time all ten raising around her as the large circle of shadow appeared beneath her. The black circle of shadow mastery shadow was her palate with which to play. It was like her great picasso displayed the moment there was trouble. Large gashes would appear the moment the tendrils rose, and each of the gashes would form into one of two things. 

     The first were a large almost half moon shape. The moment it formed it stretched out to about one foot long, and A jagged set of teeth formed into place, finishing the demonic looking shadow mouthes. The others would form almost into a diamon with a splash of black like a marble on a pool board. The eyes and mouthes were incredibly well made as usual. They had a dark almost evil look to them, and as seven of the shadow tendrils formed up as a defensive measure the shadow mouths stretched out into three huge cheshire cat grins. The final effect of her technique was a spiraling cage of shadow that protected Kanae from the assumed assailant as two turned to point towards the strange wolf man once more and the final stayed at her side as a final precaussion. 

     "Maku..." She decided that talking to him would be a bad decision, or at least  speaking to him vocally, and so she spoke into his head next. 

~maku....Why would he draw a weapon in your presence.~ She waited this time before actually taking action against the man but if his goal was to get on her good side she was failing to do so.

Maku was a patient guy, yea no one could disagree with that.  He was also pretty easy going, not much rattled his cage, that much could be seen by anyone who knew him with any kind of knowledge.  However, his patience was running thin.  He was trying to have a nice relaxing walk, and for the second time it was interrupted by what he assumed to be a misunderstanding.  After all, didn't Kira think if there was danger, or an attack he would be the first one to respond to it, and nullify it before anything serious happened.  This Daiyuki also had drawn a weapon which was an odd thing to do, though not completely out of the ordinary, but alas it appeared that he had to show off a little to get everyone's attention.

As these thoughts ran through his mind, he let his chakra surge and flux.  It wasn't only just his chakra that was mixing into his aura though.  It was also his very spirit, and his willingness to loose his life for any that he held dear.  His disregard for life caused his aura to be even stronger as it gained strength from his fighting spirit.  The very ground seemed to crack, and a strong wind blew all the snow away from him.  His outline gained a red and gold color, with the very air around him crackling form the surge of chakra.  A galaxy seemed to appear above him, only to be pierced by a powerful beam of light, like that of a quasar the very thing he drew one of his most powerful attacks from, before it imploded in a supernova in a brilliant display of purples red and golds.  It soon dispersed and as fast as the display occurred it was over.

All this happened in a matter of a few seconds, and was meant as a remainder that he was indeed the leader here.  He spoke out loud, "I am sure Daiyuki didn't mean anything, and was doing nothing to harm anyone.  At the same instance it is an odd thing for you to do.  However I know of your fondness for rituals so I doubt your being sinister.   Kira here is just a cautious and protective person, and after an encounter in Iwagakure I can't blame her.  In fact it is one of the reasons she is a trusted friend and one of the strongest kunoichi I know."  He said looking at Daiyuki.   

Over the choker he would speak to Kira "I know your still jumpy darling, but please everything is alright.  If anything was going wrong don't you think I would be the one to handle it, please place a little trust in me."

He was impetuous in actions; it was certain Daiyuki had understood this as he frozen in his track.  This would be the second time he had offended Kira however this time his intolerable gestures had cause Maku to reprimand him more harshly than ever.
 
 Furthermore the raw power radiating his leader, made Daiyuki submissively fear him even more. “Sorry miss kira” the boy would embarrassingly put his kunai away.  However what was he to do with the headband, his hair and the petal?
 
Being interrupted in amidst his ritualistic routine had caused him to fearfully drop all of the items he had in his hand at his feet. I pondered stooping to get them but if had would Kira lash out at him?  Daiyuki would leave the items there in hope Kanae her self would address the situation and the misunderstanding.

Yikes!~ Kiranomo sure was scary when she got protective. But she needn't be so cynical... Daiyuki wasn't strong enough to kill anyone there except for Kanae herself, and if he did that, he too would most certainly die. Well, Kanae most certainly thought so. An instinct among wolves was that of survival, of staying alive. Most of all, they tried to keep the pack together. Logically, therefore, behavior that was antagonistic to fellow village-members (i.e. killing them) and behavior that was suicidal.... both of these went against the grain. It was extremely probable that Daiyuki was just trying to be nice. Did Kiranomo realize this? Kanae hoped that her mentor didn't mean any harm. She scrambled to pick up the petal and headband, and gently placed them in Daiyuki's hand. 

"P-please... don't be scared. You're fine, it's alright..."

She wondered what that kunai was really about, though...

She took in everything for a moment before her eyes soften and the shadows slowly uncoiled. As Kanae rushed out of them they bent open to accomondate her exit, and moments after they were gone one more. 

~Yea....I've just been really jumpy since.....Since youka.~ She smiled at kanae, who even after the questionable situation was trying to help the boy finish doing whatever it was he was going to do. It warmed her heart and brought a smile back to her lips. "I appologize Daiyuki. I have been a bit on edge and due to situations in my past sudden movement and any action that could be perceived hostile I react to on instinct. Just....Watch the sudden movements hun and we should be alright. " Maku's display had barely seemed to phase the girl, and that was because it hadn't. She knew his power, though this was slightly new,and little about the strength of her team mates ever seemed to be a huge surprise anymore.
