Water learning to use water

Kuro watched the hand seals intently. "ok... Yeah I definitely messed that up that first time. This time for sure though!" He copied the hand seals again, slowly and deliberately. He was doing it right but was distracted by the GIANT WATER BUBBLE. "Whaaaaaaat? I... I wanna do that... NO! Gotta focus on this!" He shook his head and re-did his handseals swinging his arm again, this time 

(Stopping this here because I just noticed the bonus requirement of 30 chakra to learn this technique. Gonna just... bash my face against a wall for awhile.)

The sharks came around for a second pass, the second clones Kira letting out a heavy sigh. She needed to find a way to stop this jutsu, and preferably incredibly quickly considering the power of the sharks moving towards her. Her hand slid into the bag at her side pulling four senbon and with a quick flick of her wrist they flew towards their target, the wires attacked practically impossible to see within the water. The first sharp turned it's massive head, dodging one but the other three sank into it's body sending a light spray of water into the bubble as the sharp was pierced. It continued forward, the wounds closing in around the senbon and seeming to only loss the shark off more.

"First meal...." The first clone Kira spoke, and as she did the shark slammed it's head against the clones left shoulder sending him spinning in the water once more. It came around for the second pass as shark number two closed in quickly to strike, but the defending clone grasped into the four wires with her left hand, riding the speed of the shark, and was out of the second sharks way before it got the chance to open it's great mouth and tear a chunk from the clone.

"I....I knew that." The attackinfb clone said into the water letting it's breather free long enough to speak. Unfortunately the words came out as a mass of incoherent bubbling sounds. The defending clone rode along, watching it's captive for signs of danger to circle around and upwards around ten meters. Finally the sharp shifted around to swim towards it once more. It's maw opened and with a mighty snap it bit through the wire releasing itself and swimming towards the defending clone once more.

'Shit' she thought as she slowed to a stop floating towards the shark once more. She needed to act fast or be back in the same position, and unfortunately that trick she was sure would only work once. The shark closed the distance quickly, opening it's great mouth to display row after row of jagged razor sharp teeth to the clones Kira it was attacking making it's intentions very clear. It was hungry and the girl it moved towards at high speed was lunch. The clone would wait until the last moment, when the shark was preparing to close it's great mouth down upon her body to act, spinning to send a round kick just past the creatures rows of teeth to strike it's vulnerable eyes. The shark winced, shifting to the side after being hit and narrowly missing the clone. She was ecstatic, though her happiness was short lived as she was struck in the back by another shark. The hit hurt quite a bit but the most unfortunate part was it pushed her forward just as the second shark struck, scraping it's sharp sand paper like skin against her side to spin her in the water wincing in pain. The third came down on her from above, the defending clone barely seeing it in time to move her body forward to doge the snapping of it's great. Wide mouth, settling for the painful pull of sand paper skin against her back over jaws piping her head from her shoulders like a cherry tomato between the fingers of a small child.

Kuro once again tried the Water Needle technique, creating more worthless rectangles of ice. "Geez... this is a LOT harder than i thought it'd be... Maybe i should try something a little more basic..." He stared at the water bubble and sighed, wishing he could anything as incredible as that. He turned to Kira looking a bit defeated. "Um, do you know any simpler techniques? I'm trying but the needles need to be all sharp and accurate. I need something to create that doesn't require such... Finesse." He smiled a bit sadly "Just... a blast of water or something..."

"Hm... Well if you're having trouble with that the only thing else I can teach you is probably the hidden mist technique? It takes a water source near you and turns it into a fine mist that makes it virtually impossible for people to see where you are unless they have a doujutsu or are incredibly resourceful." She had stopped to ponder for several moments, bringing her hand up to her chin to scratch at it in contemplation before she even spoke. Unfortunately her lower ranked jutsu were all supliment sry for the most part. Still she had a small bit that might assist him and worst case she would help him raise his chakra to be able to learn more techniques.

"But hey, even if that's not helpful we can train a bit to raise your chakra and when you get it high enough I'll teach you all of my cool water jutsu alright?" She smiled at him, giving the boy a soft nod with hopes that her encouragement would raise his spirits.

Meanwhile across the field the two ones were still locked in vicious battle. Screw this, the defending clone thought to herself closing her eyes for a brief moment to call out for her weapon. She needed sorrow, and decided the second unlock would be more useful in the current situation. Her opponent would be low on stamina now as they had not really gained much upon creation and she knew the powerful jutsu back to back was incredibly draining. The weapon materialized in her hands, hatred, and as the shield formed on her left arm the Fourth shark came flying through the water, it's nose ricochetting off the shield just as it came fully into being. She thrust her arm outward to slam the weapon against the shark and it glanced away from her seeming hurt, a large but of it's nose broken off.

As it swam back upwards to allow the fifth shark a pass the water around it swirled around the sharks nose, reforming the lost bits of the beast. The fifth shark circles around behind the girl before jetting towards her as she recovered from the last, and she turned to search for it, but not in time as it struck her hard in the center of her back to thrust her forward once more bringing her dangerously close to being dispelled.

I really need to do something fast, she thought to herself. The situation was looking worse and worse as the sharks came back around to set up for the third set of attacks. They paired off into a group of two and a group of three, preparing to attack more violently this time, the clone controling them simply watching with a wicked smile on her face. As the first set darted forward the defending clone let the chakram fly at it's full speed and power, allowing the chain for flow through her hand as it moved. This was her one chance to even the odds. It sliced through the middle shark of the first pack, and as it did she gripped the chain, stopping it's forward momentum and leaving it spinning for barely a second before pulling it backward, where it ripped through the left most with enough force to destroy the two as the ranged weapon came flying back towards her.

Kuro smiled, relieved there was something else she could teach him, even if it wasn't really an attack jutsu. "All right, anything is better than nothing right? Besides, it sounds pretty handy." He stopped for a moment and had a thought "Turns water into mist... could I turn into the mist? Nah, that'd probably be a really bad idea huh?" He scratched his head and laughed a bit.

"Yes the hidden mist jutsu is incredibly helpful. You can't see through the mist and chakra senses can't either because the mist is full of your chakra. It's an excellent jutsu to have." She stopped to ponder his words for a moment. It was a strange idea she had a feeling would cause problems. "Yea...don't try to use your own body. That could end painfully." She raised her hand to slide the mask back across her face before forming the hand signs for the hidden mist jutsu, a single tiger seal. As she did, from her back a thick cold mist seemed to pour out, blanketing an enormous area in mist and casing the boy to lose sight of her. With a pulse of her chakra she activated the masks ability and through the glass she was able to see thermal signatures, showing the boys body a bright orange against the cold mist and earth.

Excellent, the defensive clone though to herself seeing the two sharks she had cut dissipate into the great exploding colliding wave jutsu. The final one came around as the shield was on it's way back, making it there just before she was able to catch it, however the sword of hatred did it's job efficiently. She took two great cleaves at the shark jutsu, the first separating the creatures mouth at it's hinged jaw and the second, a downward slice as the shark was moving past, her body shifting back enough to avoid it, slicing through the great beasts head, effectively cutting it in half and dissipating it into the water around them.

The attacking clone could feel the power shift as the first three sharks were killed. The final two spun around from their circle coming towards her with renewed vigor. She could take them out easily and the attacking clone knew it. The situation looked bleak, she thought to herself. The bulk of her chakra was used up with the first attack and she wasn't sure she would be able to do anything to handle the situation before her once the great exploding colliding wave jutsu broke.

The defending clone lashed out once more with the shake am, though this time the sharks semes to expect it. The left most of the duo shifted out of the way of it's attack continuing it's momentum towards it only to be sliced in half from behind as the clone caught the chain once more, leaving the chakram spinning for a moment before being pulled back at a slight arc to whip around slicing through the shark and leaving only one left. With it's partner cut off the shark looped around to continue circling it's target almost as if waiting for the right moment to strike. As the chained chakram came back the defensive clone caught it once more, her hand pulling back from the momentum, and then almost immediately loosed it once more in a path just ahead of the shark with the intention of slicing through it and ending her troubles in one final strike.

Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit, the attacking clone thought to herself as her opponent caught the weapon again. She called out in her mind to sorrow, hoping to gain the main weapon's help but unsure if it and it's unlock could be used together. Much to her pleasant surprise at her mental call a horrific scream like that of a terrified maiden in her death throws ushered through the battlefield loud enough that even Kira and the boy would hear it clearly. A bright flash of purple energy appeared. In the water and she reached out quickly to grab it the moment it was fully existent. The long scythe hung loosely in the water the heavy spiked ball flosting beside her due to it's incredibly light feel when in the hands of it's master. With a mighty swing she released the scythe blade, the ringing of chains calling out fully in the water followed by the sound of metal slicing through open water. As the chakram was about to hit the final shark the clashing of metal rang out as the scythe blade connected, throwing the chakram off and causing them both to hang loosely in the water. The shark now unhindered crashed against the defending clone roughly, pushing it just on the edge of being desummoned. The shock of the defense and the surprise that sorrow and hatred could be active at the same time surprised her, causing the girl to lock up, not bringing the sword around until it was too late. She winced in pain, drawing the chakram back quickly, hand over sword held hand, and as she did the shark set up once more. She got the weapon back just as the offensive clone got hers, each doing the same thing, though the offensive clone hooking the staff of her weapon around her heel and the crook of her knee to hold it as she drew the chain back.

"Hm.....Sounds like the clones have summoned my weapon" Kira would say as she continued to teach the boy. It was suprising to her considering she remembered the pull of hatred on her heart before the screech of sorrow hit the battle field. She made a mental not that the two could in fact be summoned together.

The shark came around once more, and the offensive clone set up. As it moved to strike The offensive Kira clone readied another powerful strike of her scythe to deflect her opponent's parry and ensure the kill. The final of the five feeding shark jutsu sharks struck quickly, dodging the chakram once more the first time and the scythe blade flew from the staff once more to slow it, this time catching it's curved blade in the opening beneath the top of the shield to stop it's spinning momentum and lock the two weapons together. The shark opened it's great maw, the miscalculation taking away either girl's ability to use the ranged portion of the scythe, and as the offensive kira reached out for her chained ball the defensive kira stuck. Two great slashes slit the shark as it had the first, it's jaw splitting open as it swam and then each piece floating freely in the water for a mere moment before the shark dissipated back into the water. "Yes! I did it" She said, ushering a flurry of bubbles into the great exploding colliding wave and filling her mouth with freezing cold water she would have to spit out, and did, before she allowed the tube back in to filter out more breathable air. As the strikes ended the two girls pulled at their weapons to unhook them, though the tug of war which would end in a stale mate due to their strength being the exact same, was ended early as the great exploding colliding wave jutsu finally shattered, the chakra holding it together finally dwindled enough to no longer keep it up. A torrent of water washed across the battle field where they were sending each girl flying and each losing grip of their weapon as the water shifted them off to opposite ends of the clearing spinning and at a loss for which was was up or down. When they finally came to there was an enormous expanse of water beneath them, each having activated their water walking technique out of instinct, and they stood quickly to shake the water from their faces.

In perfect unison they removed the masks, a single pulse of chakra retracting the breathing tube, and as the masks hit their necks to hang loosely they called out to their scythes to desummon and summon once more so they could continue the battle as a clash of steel on steel.

Kuro listened carefully to what she said and nodded and watched as she performed the jutsu. He grinned as the mist started to pour out from behind her. He waved a hand through the mist and slowly backed away as the mist crept over him. "Wow... I... feel lost in this. I really can't see more than a couple feet! And what water source did you use?" Kuro stepped through the fog and expiramented with how difficult it was to navigate through. First he just tried walking to find the edge or refind Kira. Next he tried to jump high enough to get a peek of where he was in the mist and laughed as he came down. "This is crazy, I can't see you at all, can you see me?" He outstretched his hands as he walked around trying to locate her, purposefully keeping them around chest-level, just in case. "So, can you let this down so I can try now?"

"That's the purpose kid. " She watched the orange shape move about, first waving something in front of it she assumed to be his hand, and then begining to walk. As he did she kept her distance, following just out of range of his sight, and as he asked if she could see him she moved behind him quickly, bending down to whisper in his ear, "Yes I can" before moving back into the mist hoping to surprise the crap out of him, though not literally. She released the jutsu, and the mist lightened up, becoming a very light fog that allowed him to see her, now directly in front of him around two meters away.

"The water source I used is here. " She slid her hand into the bag at her side and pulled out three empty bottles that were assumed to be drinking water. "The only problem is once it's dispelled I have to refill them again, but it serves a purpose. " With that she drew out a fourth, putting it to her lips and taking a slow sip.

The clones squared up, the water still flowing outward to lower their height considerably. At this point the duo training the hidden mist jutsu would be able to notice the small stream of water that would flow past them up to their ankles. Clone one caught sorrow just as it finished materializing directly in front of her and waved the scythe around before bending down to pick up the chained ball around two feet into the chain from where the ball was hooked.

The second clone held out her arm, the shield like chakram appearing on her left, strapped easilly to her clothing, and then plucked the sword from the air. She prepared for the attack, knowing the ranged prowess of sorrow was dificult to combat, especially with a mostly close quarters weapon such as hatred. She would run forward quickly to close the distance waiting for the signs in clone one's shoulders, the subtle shift that would tell her an attack was coming. she saw it almost immediately.

Clone one shifted her hips, and after two swings of the enormous ball she allowed it to flow between her legs for a split second before reaching her left foot backwards, her weight set on her right, and caught the chain as it slid past her knee in a large loop around her toe. With a powerful thrust the weapon was sent back the opposite direction through her opened legs to fly at her opponent with incredible speed and power. Clone two saw the attack, considering for a moment actually blocking it. She wasn't sure what would win in a battle the chained ball that shot strait as an arrow towards her chest or the sheild on her arm, but she was certain it wasn't exactly something she wanted to find out. Spinning her body she would shieth the sword between the shield and her arm in a slot made to hold the weapon, and as she spun the chain of her own weapon kicked up. She grasped it in her now open hand in a single loop, and as the ball came in range ducked backwards to allow it to pass just over her shoulder. As it passed she thrust the looped chain upward, catching the ball in it and then pulling downward to tie the two weapons up again, though this time with both of her attacking portions freed.

Clone one watched clone to close the distance, her attack easilly countered. She considered using shadow sewing but deemed it unfair, and thankfully after deciding not to remembered she was too low on stamina to pull off the jutsu for it's full duration anyway.

Kuro jumped in surprise when Kira was suddenly behind him. "Yipe!" He held up his hands defensivly, his hair dripping from the shock. "Don't... do thaaaaaat!" He shook his fists at the mist and stopped when he realized it was dissappating. "Thank you." He listened to her explain the water bottles and smiled. "Ah I see, thankfully I always have two on me, gotta stay hydrated after all. Or else I get all... Unhappy." He opened up a bottle and set it down. 

"All right, my turn!" Kuro copied Kira's handseal demonstration she'd done and focused. The water started to slowly transformed into a small light mist. It slowly floated to about four-foot high and a twenty foot diameter. "Almost... Dang it, I'm not giving up on this one too! It's not... that... hard..." Kuro closed his eyes and focused harder on the mist and the last of the water in the bottle. He managed to get it high enough to just barely cover the top of his head. "All right!"

0"right...Sorry I um...I couldn't resist. My mask allows me to see things normal people can't you see. So As long as i'm wearing it Yes I can see you by your heat signature. " She watched him attempting, stepping in to offer little criticisms here and there. 

     WIth the ball out of the way and their weapons locked up in a fashion that gave clone two the advantage she rushed forward to close the distance incredibly quick. Clone one took a defensive stance, the scythe set strait up to use to block or defend, and prepared to counter attack if given the chance. The second clone, who was now the agressor sent three quick stabs towards her opponent, one to each side of her body aimed just below the breast and one aimed low to pierce her stomach. The clashing of metal on metal rang out as the defending clone simply shifted the snath left to right to knock the thrusting strikes away easilly. 'Shit,' She thought to herself. 'I'm blocking alright but if I dont do something quickly inevitably I'm going to miss one of these strikes. ' She watched the girl set up, bringing the scythe down on her opponents shoulder. It was easily deflected off as the attacking clone raised her shield arm, shifting it to the side as the two would hit to clance the strike off of it's curved surface. 

     The attacking clone struck again, this time with the opponents weapon in a significantly less effective position to be able to defend. two quick stabs shot towards her body one at the shoulder and one at the hip followed by a downward slash, the tip of her sword circling around to raise slightly above her head as she powered it downward to cut into her opponents shoulder just short of the neck. THey were defended also, though sloppy. THe first stab caught the tip of her opponent's scythe, which looped around it to knock the attack downward and bring her scythe back into a defensive position. the second strike was lower, and she didn't quite succeed in bringing the weapon around in time, glancing the blade strike off to the side but not before it bit into her body lightly. the final strike met the blade of her scythe, which she flicked forward by twisting the snath quickly, knocking the sword's blade to the side to miss harmlessly. strike after strike glanced off, two steel blades singing a brilliant duet of clashing metal on metal as one girl tried to get the upper hand, but still neither could land more then a minor hit. 

     The defending clone was feeling the fatigue of their work out, her body close to low on stamina from the jutsu and the heavy weapons fighting not helping the situation much at all. She decided she needed to finish this quickly, and took her free hand, holding the scythe just in her left for a moment to shift it's weight left and right to block, and from it drew out five senbon, each on a long bit of wire. The attacking clone saw the movement, studying her hand for a moment between slashes and stabs to keep her on the defensive, and when she saw the senbon realized she would need to do something. There were far more then she had weapons of course, and with Kira's ability to fan the weapons out and the close proximity to one another, her chances of dodging them all were pretty bleak and the inevitability that those needles would hit something crippling was pretty good. 

     She had an idea, and as the defending clone threw the senbon she formed two seals, rat. Bird. WIth a wave of her sword hand ten water senbon flew from her arm to clash with the real senbon, knocking them easily out of the air as three of the ten who were within the defending clone's range of body movement continued on to attack the girl. She shifted the scythe's blade to the side, allowing the flat to block the needles out, their weak shafts shattering about the weapon harmlessly, and as they finished she brought her scythe up and then strait down on her opponents shoulder, pulling in as she struck with the intention of ending the strike in one swoop.
