For Miki's part, he did try to move his hands, but he simply wasn't quick enough, and soon found himself bent over the mans fist, bones cracking and air leaving his lungs. The man hit hard and fast. Faster than the boy could really perceive. Had Taiga not said anything, He likely wouldn't have been able to know it was coming. Not that he could have stopped it though, the man was simply too fast. He barely had time to think of possible actions to take as he was flung through the air towards the tree. He had no jutsu to speak of, and he was a trainee against a master. There was an obvious winner here, and it wasn't Miki. But he couldn't just give up. He hadn't clawed his way this far just to stop now. He hit the branch of the tree hard, the wood snapping against his back. As he fell, he grabbed a sharper piece of the tree and attempted to land on his feet. He knew this was a poor weapon, but he was really limited in his options right now. He had broken ribs, and blood dripped from his mouth. He stood strong anyway, a pointy stick in hand, and determination in his eyes. He focused chakra around him, preforming the signs for the clone jutsu. If Taiga was going to hop around so fast it looked like there were many of him, than Miki just had to make more targets. This jutsu, like the previous one though, was a lot simpler in theory. A span of seconds had passed since the fight started, and Miki knew that the jutsu was simply not going to work right away. Under s stressful situation like this, he was lucky he was even thinking straight. He just had to calm down. The world seemed to be in slow motion as he concentrated, trying to foresee any actions that would come against him. He needed to see past the reality, and see the future of his actions. If only he could see sharper, faster, this would be easier. His chakra still formed, but it was too slow. He needed to really see, not just with his eyes but with his senses. One of his eyes had begun to bleed unbeknownst to him, as if trying to tap into some untapped power. He preformed the handsigns for the jutsu one more time, hoping he could get it to work. Even if he knew it wouldn't help, it would give him at least that much portion of success. In reality, it had only been about ten seconds. To him, it was almost an eternity as he went through the seals as fast as he possibly could, wanting to get at least one more success out of this. He saw Taiga flash by again, moving faster than he could perceive it. There was no stopping him, but maybe that wasn't the point. He would persevere in light, darkness, rain or cold. He wouldn't be stopped till he was unconscious. As these last thoughts came to life in his mind, two identical copies appeared next to him, almost seeming like guards. Miki knew they were nearly useless, but that was one jutsu out of the way. Now he just needed substitution and transformation and he would be authorized for a rank up. Well.. he also needed to survive this training.
