Do ANBU Get Overtime Pay?(P, NK)

Haru was a little disappointed at Xyxer’s answer. He had hoped for some closure in regards to his master’s death, but it seemed he’d have to look elsewhere for that.
”I see… I had hoped for more, but I suppose it’s better to hear a little bit, rather than nothing.” He said, looking down at his orange juice, a tinge of sadness in his eyes, though only for a moment. It was strange to think that his whole team was dead or missing. Family gone, master dead, home destroyed, Haru truly had lost it all. All he had left was his grandparents and his sister.

He did listen with interest about Xyxer’s first meeting with Rin, noting the one he called Sameonna, who somehow managed to stop Xyxer, saving his master’s life.
”Who is this Sameonna? Someone who command that kind of respect from you must have been very powerful.” He commented, wondering who exactly this person was.

He thought he noticed a brief glimpse of sorrow on the man's features, but he was unsure, the expression had not lasted for long if it had been true. However, Haru's questioning about who Sameonna was upset Xyxer. Actually, maybe that's not truly portraying his feelings.. it infuriated him. Running his index finger around the rim of his orange juice glass for a few seconds, he allowed his lips to curl up from their neutral position into a sardonic half smirk, "You don't know who Sameonna Hoshigaki is?" He paused for a few seconds, turning his gaze up from the glass towards Haru, "The Sannin of Old Kirigakure who drowned the curs of Konohagakure? The entirety of the village?" He felt an impulse dragging itself along his arm, but he decided to combat it. Shifting his hand towards the glass, he grasped it and moved it towards his mouth to drink. If he did not distract himself quickly, he'd be forced to attack the male opposite of him. Such blatant disregard for one of history's most prominent shinobi? The saviour of his leader? The one who his previous Tenkage executed? His half smirk by now had developed into a frown as he placed the glass back onto the counter, "Will that be all, Haru?"

Haru’s eyes widened with understanding as Xyxer stated the woman’s last name. He had heard mention of her surname from Denkiteki long ago, and subsequently read reports of her deeds, but her first name had escaped him. He knew of no connection between her and Xyxer, and had only read the reports of her attack on the Leaf and her subsequent execution by Shinji, but Xyxer surely seemed to have a lot of respect for the woman.
”... Wait, did you say Hoshigaki?” He would ask, looking up from his glass. The Mizukage was clearly irritated by his question, which Haru noted was the first time the man seemed to have shown his true emotions. ”I’ve heard of her, then. Forgive me, I only recognized her surname.” He explained calmly. The Mizukage seemed very upset by his mention of her, and it made him wonder how close they had been. He would ask no more, however, for fear of loss of employment. ”...I apologize if I upset you, that was not my intention.”

Pinching the bridge of his nose after a few seconds, he exhaled faintly. It appeared the male opposite of him had developed a keen sense of survival, knowing it was best to apologize to the demon, but that made him ponder.. how long could he maintain the alias of a demon if such respect for his sensei remained? Regardless of what that answer would be, he nodded his head for a few seconds. Shifting his other hand towards the glass, he lifted it up and knocked the contents back down his throat. Imitating Shinji was an arduous task.. was this what it was like for him to entertain Xyxer?

Haru sat there in silence as Xyxer drained the contents of his glass, frustration clear on his face. As his last words to Haru were "Will that be all?" Haru decided it was time to take his leave. Nothing like sitting in silence with your boss to draw out the awkward. 

"Err, I suppose I'll be going then." He said, fishing some ryo out of his pocket and leaving enough to cover both of their drinks. "It was nice speaking with you about Rin, Lord Mizukage." He said politely as he stood from the chair, exiting the building.
