Patrolling the Temple [P]

Well Kirino was instructed to not do anything yet, so she waited patiently trying to hear anything out of the ordinary. Of, course over the roaring of the rain there was little to be seen or heard. Ninja can sense chakra, so I might as well try that. Expanding her senses outward the girl seemed blocked by something, all she could feel was someone else’s chakra all around the area. Is this how chakra sensory works or am I doing this wrong. I don’t think that is Ayumi’s chakra.



”I’m not sure if it is because I’m doing this wrong or something is getting in the way, but I can’t sense anyone’s chakra. Its like another chakra just keeps blocking me.” Of, course Kirino didn’t expect their leader to answer she seemed rather quiet and distant for the most part.

[Sorry I took 5ever; been super busy with a conference the past week x_x also because I lost my post twice and was upset for 5 seconds each time]

Paying no attnetion to Kirino who stoood beside her, Ayumi took a deep breath before blocking out the sounds surrounding her. The pitter patter of rain slowly became silent as the raven haired girl begin to pull her act together and focus. Concentrate.

A few minutes passed before the sound of the heavy rain filled her ears. Biting her lower lips, the girl quietly said to Kirino, her voice cold, “Go out there and see what’s happening. Fight if needed. I’ll be watching and intervene when it gets out of hand. Be careful. Don’t get hurt.” It was a risk sending Kirino out to fight, but decisions needed to be made. Whatever was happening out there could be some sort of diversion planned by their enemy; in such case, someone needed to stay back and watch over the temple. She was going to head out instead but thought that she should be considerate to the girl. Based off of her body language, she could tell that Kirino wanted to fight.

Should Kirino follow her instructions, Ayumi would tail the girl and stop roughly fifty meters away from the temple which would place her about a hundred meters away from her teammates. At that point, she would have been hidden within the shadows and continued to suppress her chakra.


After getting caught by Kotsuzui, Ryoko bit his lower lips as he struggled to break free. This proved to be unsuccessful as the Kaguya slammed his own leg into Ryoko’s leg. The overwhelming strength of the kick caused the shorter male to wince. A split second passed before Ryoko felt the Kaguya’s limb against his gut. Long story short, the shorter male was unable to pull any tricks as his opponenet continued to attack him. By the end of the chain of the attacks, Ryoko was left unconscious on the forest floor.

Seeing as her brother did not fare too well on his own, what about Makoto? Rin turned her sight towards the taller twin, just in time to catch the boy trapped in what seemed to be a genjutsu. 

As the scene unfold, Rin took a step back and narrowed her eyes. Preparing to dart out in order to assist her twin, the girl plucked a shuriken out of her pouch. Speeding towards her twin, the girl flinched as Kisuke aimed a kunai towards Makoto. Stopping in her tracks, the kunoichi backed away.

As Makoto got stabbed with a kunai by his opponent, the short haired girl rolled her eyes. “Idiot,” the girl muttered to herself before making her way back to her team’s base camp, situated fifty meters away from the scene.

Upon arrival, she notified the team leader, a B-rank ninja, of the current situation. Pondering to himself, the man deployed two other ninja and Rin to the scene. One of the two shinobi deployed, Yuri, patted her weapon pouches, making sure that her weapons were sufficient. The other ninja, a male who went by the name of Yuto, stood up and stretched his muscles. Having sat in the same position for a couple of hours, his body felt stiff.

“About time,” the male muttered and signalled both Yuri and Rin to follow him. 

The trio travelled towards their destination, making sure to be light on their feet. Upon arrival, standing thirty meters away from both Kisuke and Kotsuzui, Rin performed the necessary handseals and casted the Thousand Needles of Death jutsu. By then, Yuri and Yuto would have surrounded the two males, ready to prevent them from escaping. 

Gathering the liquid from the rain which she had created earlier, Rin formed fifty needles; each of the needles are roughly 5 inches long and 1/2 inch thick. After she was done forming the needles, Rin directed them towards all of her opponents (that’s 100% Kotsuzui and Kisuke; Kirino is included should she be there).

Once the attack has been launched, Yuri and Yuto prepared themselves for any incoming attacks.

As Kotsuzui suspected, when he turned to see how Kisuke had fared his opponent was falling to the ground with a kunai stuck in him. Kotsuzui looked down at the one he had just taken out to make sure he wasn't getting up anytime soon. He then proceed to looking around to see if anyone else was out there. He was certain these two were just the pawns and the big boys would be coming out soon any moment. "I'll head over to inform Ayumi-sensei what just happened. We may need their help for what's about to come" Kotsuzui said to Kisuke. However, just as he was about to leave he spotted in the corner of his eye a female popping out of no where. "Dammit" Kotsuzui thought as his chance to get Kirino and his sensei had already ran short. "Let's take this one out quick"  he said to Kisuke as he twirled his bone blade in his right hand. But little did he know it wasn't going to be that easy.

Kotsuzui watched as the girl performed a set of hand seals, and at the same time Kisuke and Kotsuzui were surrounded by two other shinobi. As Kotsuzui suspected, the reinforcements arrived. Shortly after water needles formed from the rain drops all around the two Genin. Kotsuzui didn't have much time to enter the ground as he normally would have. His first instinct was to throw his bone sword to his right past the water needles and towards the nearest missing nin who had surrounded them (not sure which one is to his right, Yuki or Yora?). The moment his weapon left his hands Kotsuzui slapped them together in a set of seals. When the needles came in every one aimed at Kotsuzui would make contact piercing right into his body. 

Moments later his body would explode into a puff of smoke being replaced by the bone sword he had thrown mere seconds before. Kotsuzui planned it out so that his bone sword would be in front of the missing-nin to his right as he replaced with it, now placing him in front of the nin and his bone sword in the middle of the water needles. Hoping to have surprised the nin, Kotsuzui moved in by jumping over him/her simultaneously performing a front flip. During the flip the Kaguya placed his hand onto the nins shoulder using all his strength to pin the nin down. Once landing behind the nin Kotsuzui would continue his momentum using his hand on the shoulder to grab the nin's clothing and flip them over his own body. Having just used Early Sacrifice, Kotsuzui would smash the nin into the ground right in front of him sending out a few ripples of cracks. If his attempt at the taijutsu was successful, once the nin was pinned down Kotsuzui would point his free right hand at his face. With his pointer and middle finger, Kotsuzui would fire two bone bullets aimed right at the nin's forehead.

Upon their return, Kisuke caught the chakra signature of Rin mere moments after Kotsuzui noticed her. His crimson red eyes cutting through the dimly light fields, Kisuke also noticed the signature of two more shinobi circling around to surround them. "Watch out. There's two more circling us." Swiftly his eyes started darting in every direction as he watched the build up of chakra in the air around them, forming into long sharp water needles. Watching the build up of chakra and water needles form before they actually came into existence gave the Uchiha more than enough time to perform the sequence of hand seals he needed at top speed to complete his substitution jutsu, much like Kots. As the water needles bolted forward, the second they came into contact with Kisuke he exploded into a puff of fluffy white smoke. Dropping to the ground would be a wooden shovel with several water needles riddling its spine. 

Appearing 5 meters away from the other enemy (either Yuto or Yuri) for which Kotsuzui was not attacking, the Uchiha would swiftly clap his hands together into a single tiger seal. Activating his most powerful visual hallucination Genjutsu, the lights would go out and the enemy would see nothing by darkness as the shadows overtook and consumed their eyes sight. Once that took effect, whether the person was adept in the use of Genjutsu as was able to cancel it or not and would be trapped till deactivated, Kisuke continued with his attack. Rat, Tiger, Dog, Ox, Rabbit, Tiger were the next succession of seals Kisuke performed. With each completed hand seal chakra built up in the Uchiha's chest and with the completion of the final seal Kisuke bent forward and opened his mouth. Releasing a flurry of 6 fire balls, each a foot in radius that soared towards the blinded enemy. The fiery balls of chakra would hopefully collide right into the opponent, each one erruptiong into an explosion of heat and flames with a radius of one meter.

As Ayumi gave the girl leave to do go find Kisuke and Kotsuzui, Kirino ran off into the direction of the flash she had seen from the fireball. As she moved her clothes got wetter and wetter until they clung to her body. It was getting awfully cold with the rain, Kirino was shivering slightly. “Warm thoughts, warm thoughts. All of the blood and guts I’m about to get all over me, sunny days, coffee. She would continue to run forward arriving about the time Kisuke had released a barrage of fireballs

”Well I guess you don’t need my help.” She would say with a slightly disappointed tone. Most people would take that to mean she wanted to be the hero, swooping in to rescue them but that isn’t what she meant. She already knew Kotsuzui could handle himself, maybe Kisuke too if they were on the same team. None the less she would wait for Kotsuzui to say something nice like “Sorry, for taking all of the fun.” While she waited for the other to say something snarky like “As if we’d need your help.” Yeah, that sounds about right.


She would continue to look around the moment she arrived, there could be others hiding. Seeing as the rain hadn’t stopped the caster must still be in the area. Concentrating once more she could still only feel the chakra from the rain, and even people in front of her like Kisuke and Kotsuzui were undetected. ”There could be more.” Likely, they were aware but that doesn’t mean she just assume they were.

Inching closer towards the bark of the tree, the kunoichi moved further into the shadows. Gripping a tree branch to keep herself from falling off the tree, the girl stared into space (as per usual). Being in such a position of not knowing what was happening out there, Ayumi wasn't able to sit still - a quality that could lead to her downfall. Despite usually having a calm demeanor, she was clearly not as experienced as she thought she was. As a Jounin and leader of the group, she had vowed to lead the group to the best of her abilities; she had made a promise to herself to lead her teammates to the best of her ability. Clearly, that hasn't been the case.

Deeply disappointed in herself, the girl bit her lower lip as she inched a meter away from the temple. At that point, she was able to feel the chakra of her teammates, much to her relief. Ayumi took a deep breath, filling her lungs with the night's air as she loosened her grip around the branch. She needed to stay calm.


30 meters away from both Kisuke and Kotsuzui, both Yuri and Yuto watched their opponents like hawks. There was no time to lose. The temple needed to be sieged before morning. If not, the mission would be a failure, something which the boss wouldn't like to hear.

Watching her opponents with piercing eyes, Yuri flinched as the Kaguya threw his sword towards her. Being relatively light on her feet, the girl bounded away from the spot as the sword came to a halt about 10 meters* away from her before Kotsuzui appeared in its stead. Crawling on all fours to get away from the scene, she launched herself to the left placing her 5 meters away from the male and started running away from, using her momentum to increase her speed. Halting 55 meters away from the site, the girl grabbed the hilt of her sword that was strapped to her back. A member with a sword, huh... the female thought to herself as she kept an eye on the situation.

By then, Yuto had left the scene and placed himself 50 meters away from it, to the right of Kisuke. After watching the Kaguya hurl the  sword towards his teammate, the male's instinct had told him to back away from the scene. It turned out to be the right choice as the Uchiha nearby had substituted into a wooden shovel in order to escape the ice needles. Reappearing 20 meters away from the ice needles*, the Uchiha appear to have casted some kind of jutsu which didn't seem to have an affect on Yuto**. Watching her teammates distanced themselves from the scene, Rin grew slightly restless. The girl who stood 30 meters away from both Kotsuzui and Kisuke would jump up to the nearest tree branch, thinking that she'd be at an advantage.

Whilst Rin positioned herself on the branch, Kisuke had quickly woven a set of handseals before spitting out 6 fireballs from his mouth, each about 2 feet in diameter. Mostly unaware of what was going on, the girl heard her Yuri uttered her name as she felt the heat of the fireballs creep up her back. Instinctively launching herself towards the ground, the girl ended up with a scratched knee and singed hair. Breathing heavily, Rin started to run towards her teammates out of fear. She was /shook/, one would say.

Upon arrival, Rin placed herself beside Yuri, as the older female comforted the younger one. At that point, the trio had formed a triangle 50 meters away from both Kisuke and Kotsuzui. Yuto had taken the initiative the lead the formation and had placed himself in front of his teammates. Upon receiving a signal from Yuto, Yuri started to weave a set of handseals before running past Yuto. Standing 40 meters away, the female casted the Majestic Fire Dragon jutsu, aiming it towards both Kotsuzui and Kisuke. A steady stream of fire would be dispelled out of her mouth, eventually forming a cone with a diameter of 20 meters. At the same time, Yuto signalled Rin to be ready.

Kotsuzui was unfortunately too slow for by the time he replaced himself with his bone sword, his opponented Yuri had already managed to escape. Kotsuzui looked back towards Kisuke to see if he had managed to escape the needle jutsu. He didn't see how the Uchiha had done it, but luckily both Genin and managed to avoid the killer jutsu. Kisuke did not end his assault there however as he continued with a flurry of fire balls. Though not a full on hit, it seemed as though the fireballs still managed to make some contact with one of the enemies. At least Kotsuzui thought they did. The three of them managed to regroup with one another about 50 meters away from Kotsuzui and Kisuke, the male taking the head. It was at that moment Kotsuzui twitched his head to the side when he heard Kirino speak. 

"How nice of you to join us" Kotsuzui said with a sly grin before looking back towards the other three. "We can probably handle these guys on our own" Kotsuzui said with a grin responding the Kirino's remark about her not being needed. "But the help would be nice" he added in as having a third body would make things go easier and quicker. Kotsuzui assumed that Ayumi-Sensei had stayed back to protect the temple in case they had more people going around. It was smarter for Ayumi to stay back and guard the temple. It was on her students to handle these three now. Yuri came forth as he finished her set of seals and launched forth a large stream of fire towards Kotsuzui and Kisuke. 

With the help of body flicker, Kotsuzui launched himself about 30 meters into the air well above the radius of the massive fire jutsu. It was clear that this jutsu was of high magnitude and strength and Kotsuzui wasn't sure if his strongest taijtusu were strong enough to break through the fire. So instead of sending it through the fire, he was going to send it from high above avoding the fire. Once Kotsuzui reached the peak of his jump he placed his left hand in front of his face, palm facing out. He then smacked his open palm with his right hand creating a mass amount of air pressure in between his open palm and closed fist. Kotsuzui then shaped his hands together in what resembled the face of a tiger, holding all the built up pressure in between his hands. With a single thrust, Kotsuzui released all the built up pressure taking the shape of a tiger. Traveling 50 meters, the tiger would collide with all three of the enemy shinobi. Hit or miss, Kotsuzui would make the tiger explode into a massive cone shaped wave of air pressure which traveled another 50 meters into the forest destroying and rooting out trees as it went. The cone explosion was used just in case they managed to dodge the tiger. Kotsuzui's attack on them would have most likely entered the fire stream jutsu. Thus once he landed he would land saftely on the ground.

Sorry for the delay, I was quite busy with school

Upon completing his replacement jutsu, Kisuke appeared to where he thought he would have been close enough to cast his opponent in a Genjutsu however upon arrival it appeared that was no longer possible. His target had moved out of range during his substitution therefore Kisuke was no longer able to attempt the activation of his Genjutsu however he was able to still let off his fire jutsu. Watching the soaring balls of fire only just missed Kisuke would grunt in disappointment now already thinking of what his next move would be. Meticulously watching everything with the crimson red Sharingans  of his that pierced through the darkness that was the battlefield, Kisuke watched the 3 enemies retreat and group up together. By this time the other Kaguya had finally decided to make an appearance. It appeared the playing field was now even. At this point in time was she really needed? However Kisuke kept his attention focused on the threat at hand, never taking his stern gaze off of them.

Watching every micro movement they made, analysing the sequence of seals and the build up of chakra Kisuke knew something big was coming. Twisting his hips to the right and swiftly bolting away(speed110) before the built up chakra reached the caster's throat, Kisuke already began moving away. Once the chakra was released as a stream of fire and scorched its way towards the Genin, Kisuke was already out of harms way and easily so thanks to his ability to anticipate what was coming with his Sharingan. Taking a split second to swiftly glance over towards his ally, he saw a shadow of Kotsuzui soaring into the air, muscles contracting, getting ready to perform something big. Glancing back towards the enemies Kisuke would change course and bolt straight towards them. Closing the distance between them to 15 meters, standing to their side Kisuke without any hand seals would cast all 3 of them into a Genjutsu. 

Casting the False Surroundings illusion, the fire being shot out from the enemies mouth would suddenly explode outwards from the caster's mouth and begin growing in size and shape as if it had a mind of its own. The fire would encircle all 3 of them, growing in size and shape till they were surrounded by walls of blazing hot fire. To their eyes to bright fire was forming a dome ensnaring them at the centre, to their ears the fire was raging like a ferocious water fall and to their touch the heat was unbearable. Kisuke used his False Surroundings Technique to alter the appearance of the flames hopefully to distract and confuse them just long enough for Kotsuzui to pancake them into the ground with his taijutsu that would miss Kisuke by several meters.

Flase Surroundings Technique: 40 power

With a rain of fire coming towards her allies, Kirino would jump into gear taking a deep breath. In that moment, an additional layer of bone would appear above the normal layer. This bone would increase her defense as well as her offense. (Health 90, strength 100) She would then set her attention onto the enemy ninja. Seeing her cousin forming the motions for daytime tiger Kirino would assume some would try to avoid.

She wanted to be there when they did. The girl would move swiftly as the tiger rushed forward to hit the opponents. Kirino would target the one shooting fire, she would avoid the blast radius of daytime tiger. As she got to the edge of the 50M blast (so about 52 meters away) the Kaguya would place her hand behind her neck and remove her own spine. With the spine removed Kirino would pull back her arm and then bring it forward launching it at her target to ensnare them. (Speed 135, strength 135, sharpness 135) If the whip managed to grip her opponent the spines of the vertebrae would cut into the opponent while also keeping them under Kirino’s control.


If captured Kirino would pull the enemy towards her with all her might and slam her fist into the incoming opponent. (power enough to shatter his jaw and teeth, speed 135) After that she would release the ninja from her whip and give him a swift kick to the chest to knock them over. (power enough to break a rib, but not kill)
