Gingerbread [Kyson, Rei, Salzem][Closed, NK]

Queen took the compliment without having a big head like she normally did. Did she already know she was good? yes, granted but there was no need to ruin whatever pleasant moment was taking place on the training grounds between the four ninja. “No worries, It’s not too deep, just a flesh wound.” She responded about the bite. Queen was actually quite surprised that Sal had agreed to show her how exactly he was able to repel the effect of the barrier that Kyson had casted. If it was her, she’s be quite reserved in terms of showing off her personal abilities to others. It was something that she would keep in mind in the future during future interactions with the wolf. With that, she nodded and listened to the boy’s explanation as to how the technique… ability? well whatever it was worked.

She listened deeply into her explanation, her face showing clearly that she was deep in thought. mind and body one in the same? And the ability to match one’s strength to repel techniques that would otherwise require chakra to resist. It was something that seemed like it was right up her alleyway. After all, since only recently finding out she actually did have an active chakra system, her chakra levels weren’t on par with her physical abilities. “I would appreciate that greatly.” Rei responded to Sal offering to teach it to her knowing full well it could serve her a great purpose in the exams.

Kyson was the first to reach Sal as he began to heal him thoroughly, removing the effect of her gentle palm technique. The Suna boy quickly explained his technique along when Sal had explained the effect as his ability as she took in both techniques, and how they worked. Her mind began to to whirl with ideas, as one hit her instantly. The Hyuuga are known to disrupt chakra, so surely she could make a technique of her own that could have the same capabilities as that of the one Kyson used. It would require some training but with what she’s learned so far from the Clan’s arts, it wouldn’t be far off until she could perfect it.

Ayame quickly approached behind Kyson, helping him to heal Salzem’s wounds. Rei was a little hurt that no one had bothered to help her with her bite wound. It didn’t hurt terribly bad, but it would have been a nice notion nonetheless. Queen wouldn’t lie, she was pretty hungry, but there was still much she needed to train for the quickly approaching exams. Depending on how the others answered though, she would either choose to go or not.

As Kyson began to heal his disrupted chakra, he began to actually feel the real damage Queen had inflicted upon him, the reopening of his tenketsu was not a soothing experiance in the least. In fact, it felt as if Kyson's and Ayame's chakra was ripping open a recently closed wound and his chakra being released equated to his blood. Still, he had to bear with the pain... he had to get through it because his (now) friend and rival still had a bleeding gash in her shoulder that desperately needed healing and the FIRST thing he would do with his returned chakra is use it on that.

With sensation returning to his body (albeit a HORRIBLE sensation), the lycanthrope, his body still shaking from the damage he had sustained, got to his feet, his bones popping and his muscles burning as he flexed them once more. Immediately, he'd weave a few of his own signs, his hands glowing a greenish-blue as his medical ninjutsu reached his fingertips, a liberating feeling to be sure.

"Hold still..." Salzem growled, biting through the pain of simply moving around. "I'll heal that up for you... Least I can do." He wondered what Queen would think of him knowing and practicing medical ninjutsu... After all, a monster like him in his wolven form half the time and a dark, almost gothic figure the other half, he hardly looked like someone that would be healing other people's wounds. His chakra would flow into her damaged skin and muscles and, in fact, there was a bit more damage than she was letting on... In fact, if there was only a little more pressure and a bit more to the left, he could've hit a vital blood vessel or punctured her throat, effectively killing her... It would've taken a couple minutes for him to fully heal this wound, taking a LOT more concentration than normal but, there wouldn't be a trace of the bite left on her skin, only the blood that had leaked out post it's creation. At the end of it all, the lycan was breathing heavily, still recovering from his chakra being completely negated.

"There..." He sighed, taking his hands off her shoulder, revealing the disappearance of her wound. When Ayame asked if he wanted to grab some ramen or something, he gestured his hand as if waving away her request. "Maybe in a bit, my friend... I need to teach Queen this real fast... You two go on ahead." With that, he'd plop down there in the sand right in front of her and gesture for his rival to do the same. She'd need to meditate for the first time she does this...

"Now... what you need to do.. is focus on your chakra... realize that.... it's not quite so different than your strength... It's all energy... It all goes and comes from the same place..."

After Kyson just about finished Sal's wounds. Kyson would begin to stop, he did everything he could. Since medical ninjutsu wasn't really his thing. And it wasn't really something he wanted to improve much,, but at least he can be of somewhat use. After Sal was okay, he went on to heal Rei. Kyson didn't notice she had a wound on her. Though, that is why medical is not his thing. 

As he gets up and brushes off any sand from his clothes. Kyson heard Rei and Sal talk about a technique that invloves chakra and energy. Kyson didn't quite understand what it was. But it seemed interesting.

Ayame noticed that Sal had immediately left her side to go heal queen, what she had been intending to do next given that medical Jutsu were her specialty. She looked slightly annoyed a moment and then just looked away for a bit until She suggested the group go get ramen after training. Sal took it as "right now." and basically said no. Ouch, she didn't want it to turn into a date with Kyson, but even he didn't respond to her suggestion.

Ayame shook off her depressiveness and sat to Sal's right and Queen's left but sort of in the middle without being between the two. "I'd like to learn as well, so long as it's okay with you." She still felt rather hurt and it could be seen in her eyes, but she tried not to show it on her face. She had few friends left anymore and all she could do was try to make more.

Queen did as told, and sat quietly as chakra coated the boy’s hands to heal the bite wound he had inflicted. The fact that he used medical ninjutsu brought a slight disgust to the girl, who heavily tried to rely on just her martial art/Close Quarter Combat skills. Though, at this point in time she would not complain nor make any sly remark. It just wasn’t called for, especially since the boy was going out of his way to not only heal her but teach her one of his techniques.

Upon pressing his palms against her necks, the girl found a sudden relief as the soothing touch of the unknown chakra began to heal the wound. Rei began to relax her tensed body as the wounds were quickly closing. While the bite may have been worse that what she led on to her fellow ninja, she would never show it. These three may be her competitors soon and she wouldn’t show any sign of weakness in case she had to fight the individuals. “Thank You.” Queen remarked once he had finished healing her wound. She would rub the skin where the bite had been to see if she felt any scarring. Luckily, there didn’t seem to be none but she would take a look in the mirror later just to make sure.

Queen listened to the direction given by the boy, taking in the explanation as to how the skill worked. To her, it almost made perfect sense. Until she had found out that she was a Hyuuga, she had used her strength to over come the many obstacles that one would normally need chakra for. It was at this instant that she remember being unaffected by Jace’s genjutsu so many months ago. “I see.” She said simply, trying to focus on her inner self. She could feel her chakra strength as well as her physical strength. There was a gap in between the two, one that she now realized she could close.

“Kyson, would you mind using that technique once more?” She asked, hoping to be able to live practice this new found ability that she was learning. Not only that, but she wanted to see it first hand once more, seeing if she could observe some of it’s properties. She was quite intrigued by it’s capabilities. She would have never thought to be learning so much knowledge on this day.

Salzem nodded at Kyson as Queen made her request for his technique to be cast again, asking silently that he abide by this little request. If he would and the barrier would wash over them once more, the hyuuga would find that her chakra would be substantially more well protected by her strength, but not great enough as it was still not enough to resist the powerful effects of his chakra (assuming she doesn't use the breathing method.) Still, her eyes would flash that dark red, signaling the activation of the technique should she decide to do so and Salzem would smile to himself and nod, satisfied that his teachings didn't go to waste after all. He then turned his gaze to Ayame who too asked to learn this technique as well. All he did in that moment was tell Queen how to do this sort of thing and, potentially both Kyson and Ayame now knew how to unlock this ability. Perhaps she was just being respectful or maybe didn't quite catch how it was done. Whatever her reasons, Salzem would shake his head, exhausted, not in the mood to go over it again.

"I'm willing to teach, but not here or now... I've just been hit with the 64 palms so I need some rest... You'll learn it in a little while, okay? Maybe tomorrow." Getting to his feet once more, the lycanthrope would gently punch Ayame's shoulder playfully, letting her know that NOW was the time to go out to eat.

"Alright... I'm ready to go... But..." He turned to Ayame. "Since you offered, you're buying." And with that, he would head off towards the nearest ramen shop, his stomach growling almost as fiercely as he would when running into battle.

As Kyson noticed his time here was just about done. He probably should be heading back home right about now. His training for today was finished. It was definitely a good workout and a fun experience. Being able to fight shinobi from another village was interesting. Rei asked if Kyson could perform his fuinjutsu once more time. Just as Kyson was about to do it, he thought about it. 


"You'll see it again in the exams." Kyson would say to rei with a smirk as he walked off. He shouldn't have revealed his own personal jutsu to his opponents. But once was enough, he wouldn't want his opponents see any loopholes around his technique so quickly. Even though Kyson saw a little bit about them and how they fought. They saw a little bit from Kyson as well, so I guess they are just about even.

(Btw, you would need 120 str to break from my fuin tech with Sal's skill. The only way to resist it regarding jutsu power is by having a health higher than the power of the tech.)

Rejection. Queen’s eyes remained emotionless as the boy refused to perform the technique once more, denying her the ability to practice the technique she was picking up from the boy. Rei understood his reasons, she also wouldn’t want to be showing off her moved to her possible future competitors. Nonetheless, she did find it to be quite rude since at the end of the day, they were all allies trying to get stronger. Well, that’s the crap ninja believe in right? Either way, Queen thought she had a decent grasp of the ability and was something that she would work on as the exams approached. There would still be a few days left that she was probably going to use to hone her skills anyways. “I’m sure I will.” Queen replied, sounding more of a challenge than a friendly remark.

She watched as the boy walked off, Queen listening to Sal and Ayame’s banter in the background about getting some ramen. She could feel her energy reserves were low and could possibly use something to eat herself before picking up her training once more. “Ramen’s on me.” Queen stated, as Sal announced that Ayame was buying. “Let’s consider it a truths.” She finished off, knowing the hostility that the two felt towards her. While it was never directly stated, the sly remarks an ominous glares she’s received from the two always indicated a sense of spite; one that the blonde didn’t particularly share. Nonetheless, it was always good to have allies rather than enemies when things turned grim, and she definitely needed more allies. Besides, her family was wealthy, inviting two to a cheap dinner wouldn't hurt her pocket.

Queen dusted off her legs before heading off towards a ramen shop she had dined at the night before assuming the other two would follow. Her mind was consumed over the technique taught to her as well as the possible technique she could form based off what she had witnessed of Kyson’s technique. With the more time that passed, the more she was looking forward to the exams.

Ayame watched carefully as Queen practiced what she was doing, and then decided that she should get in a little more work rather than just sit there doing nothing. Salzem wasn't going to teach her anything anymore anyway, so Ayame stood up and stretched turning away from the group and working on her mastery of the Lightning Technique, Raiton: Jibashi.

She would make the hand signs of Boar, Ram, Snake, Horse, and Dragon as quickly as she could in succession of one another before she would cast it heading for an insignificant patch of sand in relation to their location.

As Ayame finished the prep work of the Jutsu, she extended her arms out in front of her with her fingers spread apart, lightning strands shooting out of them, rigidly webbing away from her and away from the group as it tried to find the fastest route to the ground.

Unfortunately, the furthest she could manipulate the lightning to go was 5 meters, but given how strong she could make the lightning, that wasn't too much of a concern. As she held the Jutsu she worked on her control of it, trying to bend it to her will in various ways. At one point she had made it so thin that it looked like glowing spider silk in the desert wind, having enough thin strands that hooked together to make a lightning lace bride's veil.

Then she focused on thickening it, cutting down on the beams of lightning completely and bringing her hands together, joining the lightning in the center of her being, still aimed away from the group and away from herself. This made one large bolt that slammed into the sand with a loud crack, melting it with an extreme intensity into a large fulgurite.

Ayame couldn't hold the Jutsu much longer before that, but it was obvious that it ended the moment that large lightning chakra surge plummeted into the sand. She had lost control.

Ayame noticed Kyson was gone when she looked back over her shoulder at the group. She shook her head with a half sigh. Perhaps he just didn't feel up to eating out. It wasn't like she was going to make him pay for the meal or anything.

Aya wiped the sweat off her forehead and waited a minute before she tried again. She made the hand signs of Boar, Ram, Snake, Horse, and Dragon yet again, attempting to produce an outcome more conducive to that which she saw as the perfection of this Jutsu. She needed to figure out how to manipulate it well because Lightning is fast and unpredictable. It was just in its nature.

As she focused she tried to bend the lightning, albeit difficult, it wasn't impossible. If she could manage to figure that one out, she'd be a genius.

But she never got the hang of it. Every time she tried to bend it the entire beam would shift over like a clock hand ticking away.

Noticing that continuing with that method was pointless, Ayame tried another tactic, noticing her grip on the Jutsu was growing ever weaker.  She began strengthening her beams again, still only able to project it a measly five meters. As she did this she suddenly rapidly decreased the size of the beams, knocking them out one by one until only a single beam remained, shooting from her index finger of her right hand. this thread of lightning, still potent, was only the width of a strand of hair.

Then Ayame could feel her exhaustion kicking in. She relaxed, dispelling the Jutsu feeling a bit out of breath. She truly had mastered the Jutsu, though. Ayame followed the others to go out to eat not saying a whole lot and feeling sorta bad that Kyson didn't want to grab a bite with them. Was she being too forward or something?

When the group headed out from the training grounds, she thanked Queen for offering to pay, even though she intended to split the bill, or at least pay for her meal. The Wolf boy seemed rather cheery, though, especially after a long day of training and sparring. As they walked she read more about a Jutsu she had been studying for quite some time now: Body Replication Jutsu.
