Journey on getting stronger (P) (Sal)

After Ryou's wounds were healed he felt a little better, he could her better now with the ringing gone. Even with this though he still cried a bit. Once he got the hug and Sal soothingly saying, "Hey, it's alright, Ryou... You're a lot tougher than I thought... I'm actually kind of impressed actually," His crying stopped. He felt very...loved. This is why he couldn't hate Sal, but he was still upset with himself. "Thanks." He said after he stopped crying and sounded a bit more cheerful

Then Ryou remembered what he thought of himself now he was wondering what Sal thought of it, he still wasn't sure if those words were actually from the heart and not just to make him stop crying. "But...if you are my friend..." He began sound more solemn, "Do you think I can defend my loved ones like this?" 

If Salzem told him no or something like "You could use more training", Ryou would ask, "Can help train me?" Ryou would sound very desperate.

If Salzem told him yes, Ryou give him a weak smile and say, "OK."

Salzem held the younger boy until he calmed down a tad, gently rubbing his back in some effort to stop his sobbing. The last thing the lycan wanted to do was ruin his day with a fantastical display of strength! How callow would that make him? He made a little child cry by beating (pain) a thought into the kid's head that he wasn't up to par... It was actually rather disgraceful... Gently, if Ryou would allow, Salzem would ball up the end of his sleeve and begin gently wiping the blood off of his face, both that from his forehead and some that was left unclean from his mouth. The more he wiped off, the more he saw on his own clothes, the more he realized just how badly he hurt this kid... It quietly made his heart ache to know how strong he had become and how little he realized it. Still, the didn't let Ryou go so readily once his sobbing face reformed into one more cheerful, not quite wanting to let this kid go... Still, he eventually did, and the moment he had, Ryou asked him a question, asking if he was really his friend... could he protect his loved ones like this...?

"Well... uh... that depends on who you're fighting..." Salzem sloppily evaded, looking off in some other direction, anywhere but the boy's eyes. "If you're fighting bandits or armed civilians, probably. They simply don't compare to a ninja like you. When it comes to other ninja... ninja just as well trained as you and stronger... I don't know... Hardly ever will you be in the position where you have to look out for yourself. You live in a village after all, a place where everyone protects each other." Salzem stopped a moment though, looking over the kid. "But I will help you get stronger... Its important that you do. Not because you are weak, Ryou... but because you'll get to help more." The lycan smiled back when Ryou offered him a weak shaky grin, taking his offer.

"Good kid!" He declared a bit loudly, gently ruffling the boy's hair. "What do you think about spar, but where you just try to hit me...? Come at me with everything you can... We'll work on your speed and stuff."

Ryou like what Sal said, he felt it was more from his heart this time. Ryou gave a stronger smile. Then Sal suggested a training method, "What do you think about spar, but where you just try to hit me...? Come at me with everything you can... We'll work on your speed and stuff." Ryou liked it, after all that's was what he wanted. "Ok." He nods. 

Ryou got up and stood up and stepped off a bit, giving Sal time to prepare. Once Sal got into a form to signal that he was ready, Ryou remembered the one jutsu that he had worked on earlier today. "OK, I have a jutsu i want to try." Ryou told Sal. He folded his hands, as the wind rejuvenation didn't need any. Then the next thing he did was take a deep breath, as it instructed. Along with the breath, he used the flow of wind chakra threw his body. This time he felt different from last time he did it this morning. He looked at his hand, it was a more red color, in fact his entire body was a more reddish color. He smiles at his accomplishment and said, "Wow it worked." Then he looks at Salzem.

Salzem allowed the boy to get up and take a few steps back with him doing the same, the younger kid commenting how he had a jutsu he wanted to try first. Assuming that this was some kind of projectile like... a bomb or a bullet, the lycanthrope nodded, allowing for Ryou to proceed. What Salzem didn't expect, was that when the kid took a deep breath... his skin started to change hue, taking on a much darker red tone. Salzem stared in somewhat awe, not quite knowing what to make of this form Ryou took... it looked as if he had some kind of horrid sun-burn all over his body, but the lycan could smell the blood under his skin with it's enhanced oxygen content... Whatever he had done to his body had amped it up to something impressive. He couldn't wait to test himself against it. Ryou smiled at his accomplishment, stating that he had done it. Salzem smiled back, though his was more in eagerness than congratulations.

"Nice work, Ryou!" He declared, giving him a quick thumbs-up. "Now... lets see what that does for you, shall we? Come at me!"

Ryou was glad that Sal was supportive, he felt more accomplished when he got the praise. Then after Sal told him he did a good job, he said to use it against him. Before he charged at Sal with this new jutsu, he preformed the flicker movement hand signs. Now that his time was slower than it actually was, he was able to understand the new jutsu capabilities. Then, Ryou charges at Sal with a speed of 90 (+50 wind rejuvenation and +10 with Flicker Movement). Ryou noticed his speed, he was three times his original speed. Flicker movement helped a lot because everything was slowed, he still wasn't used to the speed. Once he was a couple feet from Sal, he raised his left knee to Sal's left side. 

If Salzem only countered it and didn't grab it, he would balance himself back on the ground and preform the tiger hand sign to use the body flicker technique at a speed of 85. With a speed of 175, he would appear beside Sal's right side and try to punch Sal's right side with the power of 25.

If Salzem catches Ryou's left side, he would use Dance of the Willow out of his right hand with a speed of 20. Then with that he would try to graze the arm that grabbed his left knee at a speed of 110.

Salzem was actually rather impressed with the Kid's speed as he attempted to come at him again, this time, easily MUCH faster than before. The kid attempted to close the distance once again, this time bringing up a knee in an effort to slam into Salzem's stomach on the left side. The attempt was admirable, but ultimately fruitless as the Lycan countered with a kick of his own, his knee colliding with Ryou's with equal power and speed, canceling out his attack all together. Determined to get in another blow, Ryou used his momentum to balance himself after having his attack negated, weaving his hands into the Ram sign, very nearly disappearing before his eyes. Thankfully, though, he was able to follow the boy with his eyes, shifting his position barely in time in order to be facing the child once again as he brought up his fist to connect with his right side... Raising his hands just in time, Ryou would find his knuckles meeting Salzem's own, a punch meeting punch, canceling out each other once more.

"Very nice!" He complimented, smiling enthusiastically. "Now... Lets see if you can keep it up!" The moment he spoke, the lycan quickly raised his leg, slamming his foot into Ryou's stomach in a powerful straight kick, intent on shoving the boy a good few meters back and only dealing superficial damage (speed 125, strength 50). Without missing a beat, Salzem would close the distance between them once more, throwing a quick jab into Ryou's right cheek, (speed 125, strength 49) then heavy upper-cut to his stomach, (speed 120, strength 60), the last of which likely knocking a good deal of air out of his stomach if it hit.

Ryou wasn't surprised when Sal countered that punch. Before he could say anything, Sal kicked Ryou knock a few meters back. Getting the wind knocked out of him, Ryou tried to get it back. Once he did he looked up to see the Sal up close. Ryou wasn't fast enough to counter it with anything getting socked in the face and a upper-cut to the stomach, getting the wind knocked out of him. He was kneeling at Sal's feet. With all these attacks to Ryou was hard to take, ringing began in his ears, his head started to ache and his vision was blurry. Even with all this though, Ryou refused to cry. He wanted Sal to see that he could take it.

His skin turned back to its normal color, Ryou could drain his chakra. He sat up and preformed the hand signs for medical ninjutsu. The green flowing chakra appeared and he pressed it against his stomach and face. After awhile he began to feel better. "Damn..." That was all the Ryou could say. Ryou actually felt he didn't do bad this time, he was so close to being the speed Sal was but wasn't enough. 

Then Ryou used a lot of will power to stand up and put his hands back together and took a deep breath. Wind chakra began to build within his body again, changing his skin red again. "I got this." He jumps back with a speed of 60 and pulls out his fuma shuriken from his back. In Ryou's hand he infused the fuma shuriken with wind chakra. He throws it at a speed of 50, with a sharpness of 120. This was all in mid air, once he lands, he preforms clone technique hand signs. His plan was that he hoped that Sal would be confused.  Once the clone appears from smoke, he uses Dance of Willows. Bones about a foot and a half long, come from his palms, knees, shoulders and elbows. This increases his speed to 110. Time for him was still slowed threw this all.

The lycan was sure that Ryou would be able to play ball with him at these speeds, at least with his reaction time and everything kicking in, but apparently he had miscalculated... All three of his strikes hit, first his kick knocking the boy back, then his jab to the face, leaving a nasty stinging upon his cheek, then the uppercut to the stomach, sending the child to his knees... Poor kid... Salzem knelt down by his side as the color faded from his skin. Before he could offer his assistance, Ryou began healing himself with his own, a faint green light glowing on his hands, placing them wherever he was struck.

"'Think you need to pay attention to my movements more..." Salzem remarked, raising an eyebrow as he went about the healing process. "You're certainly fast enough to dodge my attacks at least." He certainly could have thrown in a remark about how this wasn't even one half of his maximum potential, but why crush the boy's spirit as well as his body? Ryou muttered something, something about him "getting this" before leaping away, his skin once again taking on that sanguine hue.

"Okay then..." Salzem muttered, ready for whatever attack Ryou was preparing. "Show me what you got, kid." As if hearing his request, Ryou, while still in the air, detatched a massive fuma shuriken from his pack, unfolded it and hurled it at him, the spinning star of death aimed directly at Salzem's middle. He could've taken the chance to catch such a weapon, but considering how easily it could cut him open, the werewolf decided against it. Ducking low (speed 125), the fuma shuriken hovered overhead, imbedding itself in the sand a few meters behind. When Salzem raised his head however, he saw now that two Ryous were now standing before him.

"Now now, kid..." Salzem chastised, tsking. "This may work on a weaker opponent, but not me. I can smell you." Without another word, Salzem lunged forward, closing the distance quickly. He crossed an arm over his chest and suddenly swung it around in a painful backhand, striking the real Ryou's cheek with a loud *smack*, possibly ending it right there if he didn't dodge (speed 120, strength 50)

Ryou's Fuma shuriken lands behind where Sal stood after he ducked Ryou's attack. Also, Once Ryou's clone plan didn't work as Sal stated, Sal charged at him, closing the space between. Ryou still saw thinks in slower motion and saw Sal's movement pretty will, so he was able to use the ram hand sign using the body flicker technique and disappear at speed of 175, of course putting his Dance of Willow away back in his body, his clone also disappeared. Ryou appeared by his fuma shuriken he threw earlier. He took it out of the ground and aimed it a Sal once more at a speed of 50 and after it was throw he chased it at a speed of 48. He stayed behind Fuma shuriken until it got close to Sal's position. Once that happened, Ryou jumped over the shuriken with his fingers and hand shaped like a blade. He infuses his wind style into his hand to make it a bodily weapon. He would try to slice at Salzem's upper half, and the fuma shuriken aiming at his center body. His hand had a sharpness of 50 and the fuma shuirken with the sharpness of 95.

Salzem merely watched as the kid flickered behind him once again and swept up his fuma-shuriken once again, hurling it at Salzem once more as if his was some kind of new trick. Needless to say, the lycan wasn't impressed in the least and made read to dodge again... but then Ryou did something he didn't expect. The kid leaped over the shuriken as it drew close, seemingly trying to go for a 2 pronged attack, one from the front and the other from above. The issue was, however, that even with his wind-style infused into his hand and weapon, he left his torso wide open for assault by coming down the way he did and that's exactly what he'd exploit. Just as the kunai nipped at his skin, Salzem would jump up and slam his shoulder into Ryou's stomach (speed 100 strength 50), taking the kid down as his weapon hovered past into the sand once more. Ryou's infused arm would be cast over Salzem's shoulder, missing it's target, but by the time he'd recover, ready to slash at Salzem's back, he'd be slammed into the ground in a powerful tackle with Salzem on top. The lycan would pin Ryou's infused hand to the ground with one hand, and his non-infused hand with the other, each with such strength that if he dared to move anymore, he'd risk hurting himself.

"I believe that's game, Ryou" Salzem stated, somewhat annoyed by how WELL he was suddenly doing.
