No, one could not fool the nose of an Inuzuka.
Fun fact: a lamp does not smell like a person. Both Chai and Ashi recognized this as they drew closer. So, instead of stopping next to the man Chai continued over to the corner where the Terumi had perched herself atop a rather small coffee table. Thus, when she broke her transformation Chai was there waiting for her with barred teeth. Perhaps this Terumi character was an acrobat? Or maybe an actor with the ability to throw her voice? Ashi couldn't be sure.
What she could be sure about was that a small crisis had been averted. Naturally, she did not bother to indulge the woman in banter, but one would be remiss to not note the fact that the Terumi's first request had been for alcohol. If that didn't scream alcoholic, well, Ashi didn't know what did. Then again, who was the Inuzuka to judge someone for their drinking habits?
As for the charge of treason? Suffice to say facts can be invented and stories created. Life as an anbu required a rather fluid understanding of what truth was. For example, a prominent businessman, much to his genuine surprise, had found that his business was a drug front. Of course, none of that was true, but he was causing trouble by trying to start a trade monopoly. Shame he was in jail now.
Yasuki would be met at the door by a pair of anbu who would take her away to the drunk tank. She would be allowed to cool off for a night and then released. Hopefully, it would knock some sense into the woman. Upon her release, however, she would be watched quite closely; people such as this had to be watched.
The rest of the day became a mess for Ashi. Paperwork was now the name of the game. The man from earlier went on his way leaving the Inuzuka with the aftermath. She'd probably have to find some contractors to repair that wall...
