Genin Examination

It had been a week since he learned the two jutsus required to become a genin and the exam was on this very day, the day he couldn’t wait to get over. He had grown quite anxious about today and due to that he had been training the two jutsus until they come to a proficient level. It was like second nature to him now and he was ready to show what he had learned to everyone including the proctor. As he began to get dressed he had started imagining plans about what he would do once he would get genin. What is the first jutsu he would learn? What ninja specialty will he have? So on and so forth. Finally making his way to the ninja academy he walks through the heavy doors, or maybe they were so because of the atmosphere. Heading straight for his classroom he could see through the glass panel in the middle of the door that there were a lot of kids.
He pushed open the door to see what felt like a thousand eyes on him, he made his way to the top right of the classroom and waited for the proctor to come in.

The chunnin looked harried as he burst through the doors, his arms over flowing with binders as he did so. Throwing the binders on the desk he rifled through them for several seconds before pulling out a list. Glancing down at it he called the first student up, a female sitting about midway up the aisle in the center. Once she had completed her examination he finished filling out the paperwork before handing it to her, telling her quietly that she had failed. Looking down at his list he nodded before looking up, "Uzumaki Maaran, front and center." Once the boy had gotten down to the podium the proctor would finish filling in his name on the paperwork before speaking again.
"Perform both the clone and the transformation technique. Then tell me the combat applications of the clone, and ways that you can utilize the transformation technique outside of combat."

Maraan’s attention jolted as he heard the bustling of an intern-like ninja that was weighed down by stress and lack of sleep. Maraan went back to looking outside the window thinking about what he should draw after this genin exam when all of the sudden the proctor pulled out a list and called the name of a young girl who would be the first to demonstrate the jutsu to him. Maraan wasn’t interested in what she had done so he went back to daydreaming, it would appear she didn’t do well enough as he could see a look of disappointment in her face. He could see now that the proctor wasn’t going to let just anyone pass which granted Maraan to show a bit more attention to the proctor.
As he did so he noticed the proctor look down at a sheet that had all the names and as he looked back up he called Maraan’s name. It was time for him to perform, he had been practicing all week so he wasn’t nervous whatsoever. Making his way down to the front of the class he turned back to the proctor and began to display what he had learned. The first thing he decided on showing was the clone jutsu as asked of him, he put his hands together and began to weave the seals required which were Ram, Snake Tiger. Flawlessly and calmly making sure not to miss a beat he moved to each hand seal until he could feel the swelling up of chakra.
Unlike before it felt much more balanced in his body, it must have been the training he did. His chakra control had improved leaps and bounds and as a result he was able to freely make a mental image of himself without having to worry about the chakra wobbling as it leaked from his body. Slowly, but surely a perfect clone of Maraan appeared after a burst of smoke filled the front portion of the class. Now it was time to tell the proctor what could be the practical uses of the clone jutsu outside of combat. “Well, the user can use this jutsu for creative purposes. If someone is painting a portrait of you then you don’t have to stand there in an uncomfortable position because you can just have your clone stand in for you.” Maraan said looking for a bit of a laugh, but he then continued. “In combat though this jutsu is incredibly versatile, one way it can be used is to confuse the enemy by making multiples of yourself. It can be easily detected by the opponent if they look to see if the clones have a shadow, if they do not then it is obvious that they are clones. In that split moment of concentration being taken away from you, you can rush in for an attack or use another disorienting move such as throwing down a smoke bomb. If your opponent happens to be gullible enough to fall for the clones then you can feint multiple attacks and bait out jutsus from them at no cost to your own life.” Maraan said looking at the proctor insightfully.
After giving the best explanation he could he then began to perform the transformation jutsu. Maraan knew fully well he was going to make himself into in order to pass this exam with flying colors. He took a quick glance at the procter and then began to weave the seals, Dog, Boar, Ram. Again, the usual wobbling of the chakra was no longer there and it felt like a quickly flowing stream around his body in an even manner. Maraan closed his eyes and began to create a mental image of the proctor. As he did so a cloud of smoke erupted and covered the front of the class once more. Slowly dissipating what was finally revealed was shocking. There were two proctors and the students wondered which was which for a few moments. Maraan hoping this sealed his chances of passing the exam then began to speak of it’s practical uses.
“The transformation jutsu can be used on a person or an object and has much utility to it. You can change the appearance of important documents into basic looking books or change your appearance for a short amount of time to conceal your presence. On to the combat applications of this jutsu. You transform a kunai into yourself and throw it, having the opponent think you are just throwing one of your clones. You could also transform into a monster to scare away your attack. There are many more ways that can be described, but I would like to save the rest for all the other participants.” Maraan then relinquished the jutsu forming another cloud of smoke shifting his eyes to the proctor to see if he had passed or not.

The proctors simply nodded along with the explanations examining the form and amount of chakra the student used before finally filling out the paper. Handing it to the student he spoke. "Good job, you passed. Present thst to the front desk to get your headband and go to the mission office if you want to do any missions." The proctor looked down calling out the next name on his list, expecting the newly promoted Genin to just leave.

Maraan realized that he had passed the exam as he was given a sheet of paper to take to the front desk. He did as instructed and was granted his headband which he immediately tied to his forehead making sure to show the silvery symbol of the village. "One step closer." Maraan said walking out of the ninja academy.
