From Water to Water

After passing the genin exams with flying colors Maraan was placed in the more advanced classes with genin, upon arrival he and the other students were split up by what the elemental affinity was. Naturally his was water so that was the group he was placed in, they were then taken by different instructors which he assumed excelled in the chakra nature. They then went outside to learn their element-based jutsus. Once he and his remaining classmates went outside they noticed that there was a small pond and it seems that this is what they would use in order to train with. Maraan seen that there were chairs set up with glasses of water in them and they were each placed in front of one as they awaited their instructions
Shortly after a female ninja walked up to them, “Today you guys will be learning the water replacement jutsu. It is fundamentally the water version of the substitution jutsu, but has many more applications if you are smart enough. Now, the first step to mastering any jutsu is always chakra control, you can master the output of chakra and keep it in check jutsus will be a lot easier for you. Before beginning the actual jutsu I want you guys to take these pebbles and sit them on your forehead and do not balance them. I want you to stand straight up and place them on your forehead and use chakra to keep it stuck there. If you can not hold it there for 2 minutes without it falling you will be sent home. I will give you 5 attempts.” She said pacing and crossing her arms.
Maraan immediately felt the pressure of being in the advanced portion of the class. He never thought it would be like this, but it was a lot more fun than taking notes and having to go home to train the jutsu by himself so he took this seriously. As instructed, Maraan put the pebble up to his forehead and began to concentrate on his chakra flow before actually letting go of the pebble. She said you have five attempts which he figured only start once you let go of the pebble and try to balance. Two of his other classmates immediately made their first attempt and failed without even trying to rationalize anything, but the others seemed to have caught on just as he did.
Seeing that he was on the right track at the very least he focused more on himself and closed his eyes to further feel the chakra. He wondered how he would get the swelling to chakra to take place in his forehead as that only occurred when he used hand seals. This time he would be without the help of hand seals so, the first thing to figure out is what causes chakra to concentrate in a certain area? Instead of saying concentrate he figured it would be easier for him to visualize such a thing if he referred to it as moulding. How can he sculpt the chakra? Maraan knew very well that mentally you had control of chakra as he could tell from working with the clone jutsu because when his brain sent a signal the electricity was transferred to chakra and then sent to that clone like a pheromone for ants.
He figured this had to be fairly similar so he gave a mental command to his chakra to sculpt itself into a chakra ball fairly similar to the size of the pebble on his forehead. He then felt the chakra slowly work it’s way up there travelling through the chakra network. Once it reached his forehead he wondered how he would get the connection of chakra to the pebble. Using prior knowledge once more he knew chakra could exist outside the body and be leaked out of the body to perform certain actions. Realizing this he let the chakra leak out of his forehead and sculpted it into a small hand that latched onto the pebble. After he had made the connection he opened up his eyes with a smile on his face and looked at the proctor who had been staring at him as well. He removed his hand from the pebble and the pebble stayed in place.
As he looked around he seen 3 other students had gotten it sooner than he did which was alright, as long as he didn’t fail. “Ah, Maraan was it? I see you are one of the truly gifted kids. Good job, you can remove the rock from your forehead and after the rest of the attempts are used up we can begin the next lesson.” She said as she scanned her eyes at the other kids still attempting. It was a few more moments before Maraan and the others who were still there were finally able to begin learning the jutsu. “Okay, now that we are done with the fodder ninja we can begin the lesson. The first thing you guys will have to memorize are the hand seals to the jutsu. Listen carefully, Tiger, Boar, Ox, Dog, Snake is the combination of seals you need to perform in order to begin the lesson. I want you guys to correctly do the hand seals 5 times before we move on. Since you guys have potential this won’t be as strict as the earlier lesson.” She said taking a seat on one of the empty chairs. Maraan immediately began to weave the hand seals, Tiger, Ox, Dog, Snake. “No, that’s wrong, it was five seals...hmm. Oh yeah Tiger and then Boar.” Maraan said as he quickly began to weave the signs once more. After the he successfully recreated the combination of seals four more times.
“Okay the final and most important less, the actual jutsu. You guys need to remember that this is very reminiscent of the substitution jutsu and I want you to treat them the same, but visualize what you want to substitute with. Obviously in this case it is water so keep that in mind.” After all the technicalities this was the final step, it didn’t seem to hard, but he would still give it his all. He looked at the cup of water in front of him and closed his eyes. He began to weave the hand seals in the correct pattern and felt the swelling of chakra once more. He began to feel it leak from his body and to the cup of water that he was imagining. Once the chakra link was prepared he imagined the cup of water and him switching places and as he did a cloud of smoke appeared around his body or where he body previously was. As he opened up his eyes he could see that he was standing on top of the chair and the cup of water was where he was.
“That will include your lesson for today, if you want to keep practicing it feel free to, but you are also free to leave.” Maraan took the chance to get out of class early and grabbed his art supplies from his locker on his way out. Then he sat under his favorite tree thinking about how eventful today was.

Approved for the stats but I'll have to deny the claim for water replacement because that tech is under review and not available to learn at this time. You can however use your wc towards another water style tech. Also please keep in mind that until your genin exam is approved you can't learn D ranks. I apologize for any confusion.
