[I just wanted to place this in here to request that this thread be paused until the ‘Arrival’ topic battle mod verdict is reached, since Kenshin’s presence here has gotten us involved. I’d rather be clear whether his post is void or not based on his exit in Arrival before creating my own.]

[Just gonna ignore Kenshin’s post since it was ruled his exit was interrupted therefore the above post is void unless overruled or something]
The armor clad wraith would watch with precision, analyzing the situation 40 meters ahead of him at the entrance to the 20 meter wide chasm, having stopped long ago to catch the sight of the alien like light construct dwindling down before him at a steady speed. As it landed and began to materialize into what seemed to be a human, a hefty hand comprised of sand would latch around the care-package and gruesomely begin to destroy it’s integrity, fondling the being with its sharp talons to deprive it of life itself. The hand’s origination was foreign to Kutari, the only information he had on the construct would be it’s transit from the left side of the direction he was facing, swooping in to catch the light and kill whatever laid inside. As the sand came from the main forces of the army, it was clear the light was of no ally to the enemy forces, potential one for Kenshin. Activating his jutsu automatically to be capable of sensing his area with the Minds Eye to perceive forms of chakra, he would analyze the control and nature of the hand as it became coated with blood, seeing the sand trail attached to the levitating construct as some mechanism to operate it from long distance.
He waited on guard and keeping his senses aware of his surroundings for any sudden attacks around him as the teen would be surrounded by the enemies pristine element, glaring at the hand which desecrated his potential ally. The hand would begin to fly towards Kutari now from the vast distance it was from him, though detaching itself from the sand trail presented as it became stiff and stagnant in the position it held upon detachment, indicators that something was amok it’s questionable actions. Though he had little time to simply wait around, the hand coming towards him now detached from the sand trail he’d begin to dash to his left and up the wall that would dictate the chasm itself at his maximum speed capable, intending to rendezvous with the army and go about attacking them then dealing with this puppet. The sand hand would continue down it’s intended route directed before by it’s master upon detachment, Kutari of which dashing past it as the spacious chasm and altitude he now traversed would allow his evasion to take place, keeping a good eye on the hand ahead of him in his peripheral vision until it passed, from then on relying on his senses.
Given his direction and senses, the wraith would find himself overlooking the coming army forces as he would be spotted atop the first platform in front of them. Due to his greater movement speed in relation to the army, he'd make it to the platform before they were capable of beginning to scale the wall, though their actions would be imminent without proper interruption as two particular characters with yellow cloaks glowing would be spotted nearing the wall to begin walking up it, the main forces and the leaders splitting up as they took two routes to storm the village. The leaders being say 5 meters away from the beginning of the wall. Taking no time as he made contact with the enemy, he'd travel down the wall as he dashed ahead at a curvature towards his intended destination, the reinforced katana on his right hip being grasped by his right hand, the sheath held by his left.
Taking the optimal route as he sped ahead in his lean and crouched stance to begin his declaration of war, he'd aim for the foe who wielded a massive bandaged greatsword in his right with a kunai in his left and a glorified battle armor for the occasion, spotting no other weaponry or arsenal on the person before him from his perspective. Noting the environment around him through his honed senses, particularly of the target and the similarly decorated ally to the man's left, Kutari would come from an angle wrapping around to make contact with the greatsword wielder's right side if he did nothing to stop Kutari or made any other movements that would be alarming.
If the enemies remained unfazed by Kutari's presence he would release the now chakra imbued blade from it's sheath a few feet from the target as he would be in between Kutari and the watcher, continuing his animations and movement as he aimed to cut him in half diagonally from right lower torso/hip to his left pectoral area attempting to sever the heart with his aptitude, utilizing the momentum of his force to follow through with the imbued blade and continue his run. If this action transpired and his ally made no attempt to move or take a different approach to his positioning, Kutari would use his alternate leg that remained at the back during the slash to kick the upper part of the severed man ahead. It's intent would be made to project the torso forward and smash into the man behind him if applicable, continuing ahead in an attempt to pierce the ally in the skull with the length of his blade if he was collapsed on the ground due to the collision. Of course, this would all transpire if his intended didn't respond to his actions and there'd be no sign of something taking place underneath the scene which he could pick up on.

Re: Night of the Drowning Men [Village Destruction]

The masked man continued to observe. As the hand detached from the trail of sand the sole defender of Sunagakure would begin to move to their left. While this was happening the voice of his bijuu rumbled in his ear. Why? Takeo himself wondered. Why had his brother dragged everyone across the continent? Why had they sailed across the ocean and marched for days and nights. To conqueror a village with a lone defender? It made little sense to him. The desert sun that they had marched across continued to bare down on them from above as the man only grew more irritated with the situation. How Xyxer had convinced them all to follow him on this idiotic escapade made little sense to Takeo. More fool him perhaps, thinking that the actions of his sibling portrayed any notion of logic.
As the sole defender reached the wall of the chasm to begin their ascent the man in the mask would be already moving away from the village. "I refuse to play your games anymore brother." Would be the message passed across to his sibling when he had passed by. The white haired man would continue out into the desert. His brother was mad, and those who followed him were perhaps even more so.
The man left his replacement at the forefront of the army, the identical looking figure would stand by and watch, their own chakra spiking as it was enhanced by the lightning chakra that flowed throughout it. This clone would keep an eye on things, more so the single inhabitant of the ghost village as they were half way up the wall. Said clone would remain until Takeo himself had left the area completely, It's actions would depend on what was to follow, if his delusional brother wanted to continue in the 'conquest' of empty ruins then the clone would follow him until unable to. Perhaps the words he had spoken would jog sense into the man, snapping him out of whatever nonsense was going on his head. In which case the clone would remain where it stood, about forty or so meters from the wall.
By the time the defender had crossed the distance from chasm to front wall the original Takeo would be hundreds of meters from the wall itself, partly due to the fact that the man had body flickered to cross the maximum distance of three hundred meters. The man longed for the cool weather of the islands, not the nigh unbearable heat of the Wind Country. Xyxer could keep his sand castle if he wanted. The lone clone would remain, observing as the defender arrived atop the wall. The bijuu chakra within the clone swelled, bolstering it's own reserves that were on the lower side in case it would find it necessary to use. It's actions would depend on those of the defender however, and should the forces leave unimpeded it would simply poof out of existence after the fact.

A life had only been claimed in this conquest, yet something gnawed at Xyxer. This glorious crusade could yield no true boon that he was not capable of attaining within his new world. His better world. Takeo had been unable in conquering Sunagakure for himself the first time around, and it appeared that old habits would only die hard as the words of his brother reached him. He refused to partaker in the course of history that Xyxer had set forth, yet it did not surprise The Leviathan.
His brother always had been impetuous, motivated by momentary lapses in judgement much akin to a child than a man. Yet, in this scenario… something seemed fitting. Nobody would care for the reclamation of Ruins that were buried in sand. Better luck would be found in the resurgence of a village that had once been great, such as Tengakure. The destruction that had unfolded because Xyxer commanded it.
Something deep within the male whispered to him, dangling objects of desire before him. Had it not been so, perhaps he would have responded more violently to Takeos movement from the village. Instead, he himself turned his back on what had once seemed an intriguing conquest to move away from the village that had surrendered a life to them so quickly. Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise to Sunagakure that the attack would not continue, shielding them from casualties.
For now, Xyxer walked alongside his brother as he had done when they’d been reunited. Bound by blood, some would say, they were fated to walk a path that was not large enough to accompany both, yet neither was willing to follow behind the other for extended periods. Once they’d both started moving alongside one another from the village, Xyxers hand lifted and circled around once, indicating to the heads of the mobile army that the plan had changed. On cue, the orders were passed down the army of Kirigakure, causing them to turn around and begin their march back towards the designated spot they had arrived at. His hands soon met after the command was given, forming the seal of the ram before his visage disappeared off into the distance from the village, moments ahead of his dear brother, although it goes without saying that he didn’t collide with him.

Sorrow.
This would be the feeling that torn the young maiden's heart as she laid on her back uptop the large floating construct known as the Luna Gardens in Lux Athrena. It had been some time since she had fled into her realm in order to recover from the injuries left upon her by the people she had been sworn to protect. While the woman had not gotten back to her full strength, she had recovered more than good to take on missions and to reclaim her title in Hoshigakure. Be that the title of Deputy Kage, take the title of Hogokage from Lord Tanji, or just to remain the Alpha of the Nova core was beyond her, however the girl knew she needed to return to her homeland soon and sort out the mess that Valen and Kenshin had left her in. While she had been getting ready, Hikari had been taken a second to track her previous Hogokage's location and see how close he was to returning to Wind Country. The blonde hadn't been sure why she had been doing this, could it be because she wanted to seek out Valen for one final confrontation with the man before going their separate ways? Could it be because she was hoping to convince the Akari to return to Hoshigakure? Or may it just be because the Saint of the stars wished to confirm that the dark prince had left Haven before returning there herself? This would be a question that Hikari would never know the answer to.
Upon sensing Valen's return to wind country, the woman would quickly close her eyes and manipulate her dimension, allowing her to cast her gaze to the outside of her dimension, looking on to see the curse mark Hikari had placed upon her kage once oh so long ago, only to see a mutilated body laying infront of the gates of Sunagakure. Hikari's hand would cover her mouth, she couldn't believe what she was seeing, there was no way... Valen, was this badly injured?
After taking a moment to ready herself, Hikari knew what she had to do, at a speed of 100, the kunochi would start forming the four hand signs that were required in order to create a portal in between her dimension and the main realm. At the same time as her portal started to open, Hikari would activate the Minds Eye of the Kagura technique, allowing her to sense her surroundings all around her. The portal would form vertically 10 meters in front of Hikari and about 5 meters behind the body of the former Hogokage. (Closer to the main city of Sunagakure). As the portal got about 1 meter wide in radius, Hikari would raise her right hand and aim it at Valen, her palm open so that her hand would be in position to shoot out a chakra blast from the seal in her palm if needed. At the same time, the maiden would create two portals to the left and right of Valen that would spawn her chains of virtue, 3 meters away from him and one meter off the ground. These would sit there, waiting in case the demonic chakra that Hikari knew rested inside Valen attempted to leave him. If that happened, the Saint of the Stars would cause the chains to shoot out and impale the beast as it came out. That being said, Hikari had no intention of allowing the creature to come out.
At this point, it should be noted that the Tadashi brothers would have already made there escape at this point. She almost screamed out at Valen to remain awake, but would stop herself, not knowing who was around that might hear her calling out. Sure, the giant portal forming would be a big hint about the fact that something was coming, but there was no need to give a verbal confirmation as well. That being said, Hikari would reach out to the Prince of Darkness over their telepathy seals.
'Valen, please!' the girl would cry 'You need to get up! You need to do something to let me know you are alive! Please, I know losing your head would be enough to kill almost anyone else. But I know you can withstand more than any other shinobi that has ever lived. Please! You have to let me know you are still alive!'
Behind the Kunochi's Anbu mask, a single tear would start to fall. There was no way that Valen could possibly die in a place like this, right?

[Exit. Can’t be asked atm to write a proper exit and rather not hold up the timeline any longer. Maybe will write a legitimate one later of internal CD. Just imagine Kutari left the scene as quick as possible as Tak and Xy began to leave or something.
Will do claims at a later date.]
[Was allowed to edit in my post of my exit describing the actions of Kutari exiting the topic and of course interacting with no one currently still within it, even made sure to take a path to which i wouldnt be seen.]
As the young Uchiha routed his transit towards the coming forces of enemies which intended to rain down upon the existence of Kenshin’s regime, he would be capable of pinpointing their exact locations due to the assistance of the minds eye of kagura. Though as he continued down the chasm to meet them with the embrace of his blade, it seemed they had a different agenda at hand, beginning to turn around and leave the vicinity of Sunagakure unexpectedly. The maneuver was truly a baffling one to behold, Kutari’s own sense of judgement stuck on the idea that this was some sort of trap to elude him his senses and attack him due to the obvious attack departure they were taking part in. The gritty sand wall would continue to be defiled as he sped forward with haste to see with his own eyes what exactly was going on, utilizing his own original bloodline optical prowess to survey the nature of his chakra network to tell whether or not he was under some sort of illusion to justify these erratic turn of events. It was clear they came there intending to harm, the corpse that was made into parts scattered throughout the chasm, one of which he was sure to inform Kenshin of later on when the two met.
As he exited the chasm, he found the massive army that came to pillage the ruined village still fleeing from the scene, the two that were of interest particularly having long left the area around him, though a lone clone of a masked individual would act as the ward for Kutari if he so wished to impede upon their escape, at least from what he could see. As the army continued to travel outward and the clone remained idle simply watching the crimson eyed Uchiha, moments would past to where nothing transpired, and Kutari was convinced there was no other attack he was under the influence of or aware to be, though he was still feeling uneasy about the situation. Given the nature of all the events that took place and the fleeting army that took so long to arrive finally turning back, Kutari would begin to travel back to the village that he knew Kenshin resided within, intending to rendezvous with the man at the predetermined location to which they were to discuss affairs if something were to happen so suddenly like this attack. He would exit the area with a mind full of various questions and considerations to be had as various variables came out of nowhere intending to overflow his conscious. What allied force chose to came that day to attack Sunagakure, and then decide to leave so hastily? What was that overwhelming pressure and power resonating from the two foes ahead of him, that caused them to glow a similar orange hue? Who exactly was the man that became nothing more than a corpse in not even a second of arriving upon the battlefield? So many questions and confusion to be had, he would be sure to question his trusted ally when the time came soon enough as he traveled atop the wall towards the village, this peculiar situation needed to be reported as soon as possible of course The air would remain stagnant overshadowing the horrors which just took place and the unnecessary death that just recently came, as an important moment within Kutari's life quest would soon took place.

At the time that Kinzoku signaled for the army to stop Love dismounted her horse while activating her byakugan. She along with a select few followed Kinzoku as he got even closer to the city. Instantly there was a confrontation, surprisingly it was handled fairly quickly. And with that minor threat out of the way, Kinzoku gave the ok to storm the village. Along with the other headstart kids of Konoha's army, Love quickly ascended creating a thin veil around Suna that would soon thicken; Or so she thought. The bombs set off by the kage's clone caused much smoke, fire, and debris blocking all normal means of sight which is likely why he ordered a premature retreat. As the Nazar and others sat waiting for civilians or missing ninja to flee Love continued running along the wall, however, by the time she reached the other side the Kirigakure forces had already left. Only the body of the former Hoshikage laid distorted on the sand; A whistle for retreat came as the Hyuuga was still running yet she had to make certain there weren't any potential future threats escaping.
Normally she would've headed the call yet something weird happened... Three portals appeared around the lifeless body, two of them had chains coming out. Was this defense set by an ally to thwart against grave robbers? Had the Mizukage left a man behind to ensure Valen wasn't playing opossum or coming back as a zombie? Or perhaps something far more heinous? The red head couldn't be sure but she knew she had to act fast. Within seconds she'd located a pidgeon and sent it off with a message for the Hokage, Deputy, or even an ANBU. Hopefully, the source of the portals was just here for body retrieval and Love could take back their description so the leaf would know to be wary of that character. Of course, if Valen did being to reanimate she'd take action possibly assisting a leftover misty until reinforcements arrived.

Normally she would've headed the call yet something weird happened... Three portals appeared around the lifeless body, two of them had chains coming out. Or perhaps something far more heinous? The red head couldn't be sure but she knew she had to act fast. While looking down at Valen from her dimension, Hikari noticed something in the corner of her eye. On the side of the chasm wall moving at a speed of 100 there was a kunochi running on the inner chasm wall and away from the village about 20 meters away from Valen and 10 meters off of the ground. Her face was blurred out due to Hikari not having her chakra memorized, but her outfit led the Nova Operative to believe she was a member of the Leaf village. Why was a Konoha Shinobi this far away from fire country? Could this solider of had something to do with Valen's condition? Could it have been a spy attempting to flee from Kenshin's grasp? Either way, to let this character escape would be a mistake, and while the maiden hated killing, she was an Alpha of Hoshigakure's Nova Corp and knew that allowing someone to see Valen out of commission and hold knowledge of Kenshin's home was a loose end that Namikaze would want to tie up if at all possible.
Hikari would start to form the hand signs required for the Pergrinati Sunt technique just like before but with a few slight differences. As the blonde would form the handsigns, she would stand up and activate the Sigilla Fortitudinem technique, thinking it may give her an edge with the plan she was going to preform. Once the portal opened, Hikari would create the portal that was 20 meters behind Valen's body in the center of the chasim. As such, this portal would have spawned 10 meters to the side of the Konoha Kunochi and about 3 meters behind her due to her moving as Hikari made her movements. The other end of the portal Hikari would place about 100 meters off the edge of the floating platform she had been standing on in the Lunar Gardens, which would be about 3KM's above the ground level of her dimension. The side that was in the main realm would have the gravitational effected added to it as it started to open, pulling everyone toward it at a power of 120. The body of the former Hogokage would be pulled in since he had no way to resist, and unless the unnamed Konoha Chuunin had some trick to prevent herself from being pulled, would find herself being yanked off of the wall and into the air, falling toward the the portal which would gobble the two of them and force them into Lux Aeterna where the two would start to fall 3 KM. The fall speed would be 100, just to make things clear and easy to calculate. (Unless there is a rule on the site that says differently, in which case that rule would overturn this.)
Under normal circumstances, Hikari would probably let the kunochi just fall to her death, but she needed to collect the body of Valen Akari, so she wasn't going to wait for the ground to do her dirty work. Instead, Hikari would manipulate Lux Aeterna's to call forth one of the blades laying on the ground about 5 meters to the right of Hikari, and send it forth toward the falling Konoha redhead. This blade would resemble a basic katana. Hikari would be sure that the path it took would not connect with Valen, herself, or any other objects that may stand in it's way, instead making sure the blade would pierce through the heart of the Hyuuga, which if it would connect, would end her life in an instant. This connection would happen before either of the bodies had fallen more than 150 meters.
Now, all that was left was to wait and see if the young Konoha kunochi would have any tricks up her sleeve to save herself from the assault of the Power of Haven.

Pain
This was what Kokuō felt, one minute she had been safe within the mind scape of that akari boy and the next all she could feel was pain, she screamed, and as she did so she felt what remained of the seal keeping her prisoner break, her distinct chakra began radiating out of the fractured corpse of the akari boy and coalescing into her true form, just as a portal began to appear above the boy's body. Kokuō roared, screaming her pain and torture to the world as jets of boiling hot steam began to exude from her mouth, obscuring a 50 meter radius around her and billowing through the portal behind her, melting anything it came into contact with.
Kokuō tried to take a moment to calm herself, to understand what had just happend, and that was when she felt a tug of force behind her, she recognised that accursed chakra, it was the same chakra that had kept her imprisoned for so long, trying to pull her in and trap her once again. Nevermore! she had had enough of being used as a tool for these humans would no longer be imprisoned, bent to the will of these pitiful mortals, the akari boy had gained her begrudging respect but the rest of these fools were worthless, with a tensing of her muscles she would push of from the ground and rush off into the distant desert, desperate to escape the chains and shackles that no doubt awaited her within that portal
