Pulling Up
Wed Apr 29, 2020 6:57 pm
Days after his several week long endeavors with the Bearded Blood Vulture Race, Guren had finally begun his trip to Sunagakure. He felt as if it were long overdue, as his original schedule had him arriving a week ago. Yet it was finally underway. There was nothing in particular that would bring him to the village, aside from the two things he sought everywhere: ryo and opportunities to learn. Nowadays those seemed like the only incentives to motivate him. However Sunagakure's reputation gave him hope that he could acquire both. Additionally there were rumors that the village served as a haven for missing ninja, and Guren fit the bill. There were likely shinobi and people from all over the world, all congregated in this one location so it would be the perfect place to blend in for awhile. Also he figured that it would serve as a perfect opportunity to develop. With missing ninja from various villages, Guren imagined it to be a melting pot of ideologies, philosophies, and characters; all of which misaligned with the popular beliefs of their respective villages. Perhaps he could find some insight, or mentorship in this place. At the very least, some hospitality.
He had been traveling all morning, and by now the God rays of the sun would be beaming over top of his head. While normally he would be ready for a break, his conditioning since coming to the Land of Wind had improved dramatically. Thus this was a simple trip. But now he had reached a major milestone in his journey, for off in the distance he could make out enormous cliffs of rock that seemed to be scraping the clouds out of the sky. They were massive, and had signified that he was nearing the village. The sight of them alone created a feeling of excitement in his gut. It was kind of exhilarating to be in such a brand new environment compared to what he was used to. Nevertheless Guren retained his composure. He knew that it was juvenile of him to be excited over such trivial things. But the mysteries behind who he would meet, what he would learn, and how he would grow all stimulated his curiosity. This could be a new chapter in his life.
Guren tried not to get too ahead of himself, as his first task of visiting Sunagakure would be to actually make it through the village gates. While he thought to himself of the possibilities, he approached the entrance, known as The Cleft. He stuck his hands into the pockets of his trench coat and looked up at the natural underpass which towered above him. As he brought his head down to focus his attention on the gate before him, he could see a compact guard booth before him, which appeared to house a single person within. Guren approached close enough to be heard and called out to the man inside.
"Hey, you awake in there? I go by G...just looking for a little work."

Han would gaze at the approaching figure critically from within his comfortable booth, waiting patiently for them to get close enough to have a conversation without either of them needing to shout. Once the arrival got closer he would enquire as to whether Han was awake, something that earned a light chuckle.
“I’m not that old sonny, wouldn’t be guarding the gates if there was any risk of that happenin’… besides, my boss would have my head for that and I wouldn’t even be mad about it. Gonna need an actual name before I can let you in though, just the first will do, need it for the official logs and all.” The older man would state with a small shrug, making it clear that these rules weren’t made by him. Provided the man decided to give a name Han would simply nod and scribble it down.
“And with that we’re good to go, enjoy your stay in Suna. You’ll find no shortage of work within the walls, and if you’re thinking of trying to score some long term contracts or even joining just head to hospital and ask to speak to Kenshin Uzumaki, he’s the big boss around here, he might have some work and even if he doesn't he'll be able to tell you who to speak to. Oh, and he also sells Bloodline Transplants if you're in the market for those.” And with that Han would allow the man to enter the village, but again, this was all provided he gave a name.

Guren laughed off the comment with the guard. Although it was a slight joke, Guren could hear the serious tone that the man spoke with when mentioning his boss. He must have been someone important in the village to be in charge of the gatekeeper. Perhaps he was his direct superior? Or maybe his boss could have an even higher rank, potentially the kage? But did Sunagakure even have a kage? Up until this point everything Guren knew about this village was that it was ran by missing ninja. Maybe there was some order to it after all.
Upon being asked his name, Guren promptly responded, "Guren...sorry". He failed to realize that this setting was a bit more formal than his recent interactions with people. In either case, going by G just always made things easier.
Following his proper introduction, he was informed of some potential opportunities for ryo. Whether long term or short term it would seem like all roads would lead to Kenshin. Guren found it a bit strange that he was directed to the hospital to find this man, guessing that he would either be a patient or a doctor. Most likely the latter if he was offering up work. But apparently he was offering more than just a job; bloodline transplants as well. They were not something Guren was familiar with, yet their name was self-explanatory. He speculated that for the guard to mention them, they had to be something that people often inquired about. For now he took the comment with a grain of salt, as he lacked the background information and likely the ryo to pursue something that sounded so lucrative.
When Han would conclude his advice, Guren would respond with a nod. " 'Preciate you, pops. I'll stop by his office. Take care...and get some rest."
Guren proceeded to enter the village, exchanging a parting peace sign to the friendly guard as he passed by.

Han would smirk at the kid as he gave a peace sign, the man himself putting an obviously feigned irritated expression on his face while making a shoo'ing motion.

What requirements am I not meeting? I'm a C-rank and I have 2 summons from e - s rank. The only problem i would speculate would be that the summons haven't been app'd yet since it's a custom race. But I did all the WC to acquire them and that was approved.

Are your summons all approved? If not then you do not meet the requirements because they do not exist. You arent allowed to do wc for things that arent approved or made mate. Sorry
