Soma Shin looks at Zeo not really with pity but with sincerity and says “that is a truly tragic story. I am very sorry to hear that.” Soma Shin had not really experienced anything near that kind of pain. The closest thing way when his grandmother died but that was a long time ago now. “We both know this place quite well and are willing to help with missions. Who knows we might get placed in the same team together. I am also waiting on an assignment. But we can do missions and training together outside of team assignments just let me know what you want to do.” He says this with a smile trying to reassure the new shinobi but also while He says this he can’t help but think about all the missions that he has already done and some training with the one lady which was cool. He remembers the missions where Sakuragi and hopes to do more not only to help himself but the village and his clan. He thinks about all of this and looks distracted and dazed for a moment. All these good memories rushing to his head and all of these good emotions that he was having made him smile a really good and happy smile.
He then really quickly looks at Sakuragi and says “I know that was you dumbass. There are only three of us here. I know it was not the new guy” He looks at sakuragi with a grin and sticks his tongue out. He is obviously joking with him. He knew he was going to have a good time with these two shinobi. He seemed to be coming out of his shell a little bit. He is not usually this joking and upfront with people. This is probably a good thing for Soma Shin. He turns back to Zeo and continues their conversation.

Zeo took a breath to clear his mind and get his head out of the gray clouds. His tone wasn't truly 'sad'-- but he was just being honest. He didn't intend to harbor sympathy or pity. He was just being upfront with his situation. "It's okay. I mean, its been a while now. Still, I am really not sure what my place is here. It's not like outsiders are viewed well in any village, " he explained. It was clear that Zeo, for his age, was surprisingly smart. Still the trauma was clear-- an emotionless shock that still took a toll on him. Even if he wasn't conscious of it, subconsciously the signs were there.

Suddenly the tension broke-- with Sakuragi slapping Soma across the head in a childish display. Zeo didn't laugh but raised a brow at the playful gesture of it all. It was... refreshing at least, as refreshing as the water fountain's mist was. He couldn't tell or read Sakuragi well. Either he was a serious person feinting emotion or was a goofball underneath the steely white gaze. Soma was a bit more clearer and open-- and for that Zeo was grateful. And even more so, he wasn't alone. It seemed he too had not been assigned yet, and that they were encouraged to team up with others regardless of squad prompting. "That's good to know. I was getting a little worried I was overlooked or just not wanted.. despite my performance in the academy."he said.

Finding renewed energy, Zeo rose from his seat on the water fountain's edge and faced the two shinobi. "It really is great to meet you guys. Not many have reached out beyond the shinobi who found me. Thank you Sakuragi and Soma-Senpai," he said with a polite bow to them. "I am actually trying to start more independent training, but I am not really sure where to start. " Zeo explained. He then reached for the bag he got and soon showed them the contents. Beyond the food and supplied he needed, it also showed a few books on Jutsu from the store. A Jutsu encyclopedia. "Admittingly, I am more of a book worm long before I came here..." he said.

Despite how emotionally filled his story was, Zeo looked emotionless while telling them. The hyuuga noticed just how composed Zeo was, that's so matured of him, being so expressionless. He didn't know his age nor could he accurately guess or tell it, but the young lad sound matured in his words. Those are the kind of people Sakuragi love to roll with. 


The newcomer hadn't been assigned to a team yet. It was mostly that way, especially when an outsider comes to join the village. They would have to analyse which team would be best to place him Into. Perhaps , that was why his assignation to a team had been delayed. The whitehead was sure no one was overlooking Zeo, he just need to be patient enough and sooner or later he would be assigned to a team.  Zeo was not alone, Somashin, a fresh genin himself was yet to be assigned to a team. The greeenhead was a citizen of hoshi, so if it was about over looking , they would have assigned Soma already. “No one is over looking you Zeo, you just need to be patient so they can put you in the right team. Somashin here was born in Hoshi I think, so if you think the reason why  they haven't added you to a team or are overlooking you is because you were not born in hoshi  then your thoughts are wrong. There are so many genins like you in the village, born in hoshi that are yet to be assigned to a team, you just need to exercise patience” he said calmly in a soft tone. The whitehead believed he was able to successfully pass across the message to Zeo. He didn't want him feeling down just because he wasn't added to a team yet.

Zeo would  bring out a book to show Sakuragi and Soma. It seems to the hyuuga that the boy was a book freak. Sakuragi was also a book freak, but he personally would consider himself an average book freak. Anyway, it was a good thing he met another genin in hoshi. “ i can tell you sure read a lot . You could start by learning basic jutsu , a water jutsu, fire , earth and all of those , you feel me ?”  the white head would say to Zeo. The hyuuga was a Taijutsu specialist in the Gentle fist style so he wasn't sure there was anything he could teach Zeo.

Soma Shin looked at the Hyuuga and said “I am sure we could come up with something to teach him. Even if he is just a water user.” He says this winking at Zeo and in a joking manner. He then gets a little more serious and says “We should train sometime if you want. Even if I cannot really show you anything new training is always a good thing.” He is talking to Zeo in a serious manner but still trying to keep things light hearted. He is trying to make the new shinobi feel welcomed and comfortable. But he also knows that this new journey can be hard on a person and on new shinobi in general but getting to know civilians, the village and especially other shinobi can be very useful and important. It is always good to have friends.

Soma Shin sat down next to him by the water fountain. He could feel the mist cooling him off a little from this warm day. He was having a great time just hanging out with these other shinobi. He was usually more of a shy person. He had no idea he was going to make such great friends in Hoshi even if one is a little crazy on missions. But he turns to Sakuragi and says “I can try to teach him a few things. Even if it is just some of the basic stuff.” Soma Shin was starting to get hungry. “Should we eat something? I brought my own food but I can hang out a bit more if you all want too.”

He started to think about when he would be assigned a team and wondered if he did something wrong in the Academy. But he decided that it was all probably just lost in paperwork and he would get assigned soon and start running missions with his new teammates. These ideas made Soma Shin happy because it would prove and prove that he was ready for the shinobi lifestyle.

Sakuragi Hyuuga was quite wise and Zeo respected him for that. The biggest thing he needed to practice was patience. It made sense. It just didn't feel natural to sit and wait for things to happen for him. After all, he experienced, he felt being passive wouldn't get him anywhere. The river never rested, so neither should he. Still, he realized that logic didn't apply. "That doesn't seem to be the only thing I need to practice, but you are right." Zeo admitted. "And you are right. I plan to study for the Jutsu I can learn. Shame the one thing I wanna know is not something researchable... At least not till I get stronger."

He wanted to return to River Country-- to learn why his village was attacked. A person in his position would of wanted revenge, but those feelings just didn't seem to exist in Zeo. The sorrow, the pain was there-- but perhaps it was hard to get mad or hate something that didn't have a face. Still, the desire to learn the truth of that night was strong with him.

The "you feel me" part made Zeo raise a brow at the white-eyed shinobi. He was not someone who was good with 'slang'. If anything his parents discouraged it. Learning to read and write, they encouraged proper grammar, so that was a bit strange.

"How do you know I use water style?" Zeo asked Soma-- not recalling he had told him that. "I never said I knew it-- but my parents both did though. But I would be honored if you would help me train. I could use help learning some more basic ninjutsu. " Soma was someone he seemed he could relate to. He was friendly, direct, and sympathetic. He seemed more in touch with his emotions than Zeo was considering his time, and being the new kid in the village didn't help. Also, any shinobi village or city was nothing compared to some small town in the countryside.

He looked to Soma with a small smile-- a crack in the stoic mask he had before. "I guess it is good to know I am not the only one . guess it's asking too much for big Shinobi villages to always be on top of things , especially in such a nice nation like this. I never knew Haven was this ... peaceful. But I am very appreciative by this, Senpai. I am a bit hungry, now that you mention it. "

The whitehead was enjoying every bit of this moment but then he remembered he had something to attend to. It seems the new guy seek to learn new jutsu. Since Sakuragi was really a taijutsu fighter , he was very sure there was nothing he could teach the new guy. Maybe somashin would be able to help, maybe not. As for the white head , he would be leaving Zeo and Soma to attend to some other things. If only he had not remembered, he would still hangout  with these two for long but now there's much work for him to do. “I have to attend to some things, I'll see ya both later, bye” he would say to the two genins as he speed off.

Soma Shin looks at Zeo and says “here you go you can have a piece of mine.” He looks to Zeo and holds out a half of a little sandwich and offers it to Zeo. “I am out shopping anyways. I need to get groceries and a few things for the family. I should probably get back to that before my family starts to worry about what is taking so long and why I am not back yet.” He looks at zeo and if he takes the sandwich he will then look at Sakuragi and say “See you later, Sakuragi, hope everything goes well today. Let me know if you need anything. I am always willing to help.” He then gets up and starts to walk away when he turns around and yells “let me know if you ever want to train or go on a mission I’m always down for both. We are shinobi after all there is no reason to be slacking.” He says “I will be seeing you around Zeo, hopefully teams get posted soon.” He turns around and wonders if this was him coming out of his shell and making new friends or not.

Zeo was glad he got to meet the people who were also shinobi around his own age. While they had to go, he gathered Sakuragi was indeed a busy-body type who had other places he had to go. Still, talking to him really did help put his head on straight. Furthermore, the joy to meet Soma was much more pleasant. He had a friendly, cheerful spirit-- something that Zeo needed to see . Despite his feeling alienated, alone and unwanted in Hoshigakure, there were people here who understood his feelings and welcomed him warmly. Even one he would consider a friend. As Soma said his goodbyes for now, intending to complete his chores and return to his family, he felt both glad and a little sad. He wish he could return to his, but being alone he had no such thing anymore.

Still, the kindness and promise of Soma's friendship seemed strong and made the pain of his missing parents seem less. Even though he had not intended it, meeting them put his mind at ease far better than he could have done by himself.  He had hoped he would soon find his place among the village, in a squad and among the people who lived there.

A smile showed on Zeo's face. Realizing he had his own food to get back home and cook, he picked up his bag and purchases-- and left for home, with the hope of a brighter future for himself in Hoshigakure...
