When Drunks Unite

The shovel had fallen to her feet after another zombie crumpled to the dirt. They were nearing the end of the undead horde, and it was about time that the raven - haired kunoichi picked up some of her own slack. She was facing in the direction of her own part of the horde as they loomed closer, and as Meika had expected, she had wandered a little ways from the others. Her hands wove into the following signs; Rat - Ram - Snake - Tiger and ending with Bird. About twenty meters from her, and away from the others, appeared some sort of distortion.

The zombies that got caught within the distortion ceased to move, as if they were being forced to stay in one place. Then all at once, they folded into themselves, as if being crushed within a heavy unknown force.

After Meika’s gravitational performance, she turned her attention to the others. The zombie army was dwindling to almost nothing. Everyone had given the dead a proper smackdown that they deserved. Leaving the Kage to end the battle with a sweep of fire.

There was some discussion of having a drink after the battle to celebrate their victory. A shot glass of shochu really didn’t sound like a bad idea. But before Meika could agree upon the discussion, the lights upon the village went black. Swallowing her into darkness, just before the dream broke away. The events that happened within that apocalyptic nightmare faded away, as if it had never taken place to begin with.

Leaving Meika feeling clueless as she sat up within her bed. Her expression showed obvious confusion as she attempted to recall what awoke her. But nothing came to her mind. With a defeated sigh, the Kunoichi grabbed the corner of her blanket and rolled back onto her side. Closing her eyes once more to resume her night's sleep.

Nova was a blur as she spun through the crowd of zombies, moving so fast that her fists and staff were more like a finely-honed blade than simple wood and flesh. It had been far too long since Nova had actually stretched herself like this, and she was feeling the burn. It was a good feeling, though. It told her that she was pushing herself to higher limits than she had before. She'd been slacking for far too long, and it was time to change that she felt. It all started from her surviving this fight, though the prospects were looking good so she wasn't too worried. The four from Kumo made a pretty solid team.

At last, the final zombie had been vanquished and the guttural throat sounds died down. Nova winced as she deactivated the gate and finally felt the pain catching up to her; it felt like every single one of her muscles just experienced the worst case of cramp ever. Finally, the pain became more manageable and Nova smirked at the words of her companions.

"Looks like it's time to buy you that drink, Ichigo." She said in a somewhat jovial manner as the world around them began to fade.
