Sibling Workforce

Missions Undertaken:

Waking up in his family home Shin went about his normal morning routine of cleaning up, getting dressed and doing a light workout before he grabbed some food to munch on and went to the building inside the village where the Mission board was at. He was suppose to be doing some minor jobs with his sister Echo just to get some extra money and start the climb up the ranks.

While he waited for his sister to show up he began to look over the E ranked missions that were on the board and there were plenty to choose from though only a few stood out to the young Uchiha specifically ones that seemed to somewhat work together and could be done quicker then trying to do a bunch of them all over the village. Grabbing four of them that seemed to work all in the same area he went through the list that he had picked.

There were two of them that had to do with the local dog shelter, one asking to take the dogs for a walk and another to help fix up the place and clean it up a bit so that was an easy group to knock out. Then of the last two, one of them dealt with the Painter’s Guild and them needing some help cleaning up some equipment and the last was to basically write a report on something that was important either culturally, historically or architecturally to the village. Shin was sure his sister would be able to make that last mission quick and painless for the younger brother who disliked studying in general.

Echo had got up and immediately took to her studies. Unlike her though she had gotten up extra early making sure to allow herself time to throughly read her book, before she had to get up and get ready to leave for the day. Today she had told her little brother Shin that she would help him do some missions. It had been years since she did any real ninja work and truth be told she was still a genin. She had never went as far as to actually take the chuunin exam or go anywhere with her ninja career. After she graduated the academy she ended up falling in love with medicine and never looked back. But now things were different, as she now felt as if she had to continue being the helpful older sister. And in order for her to be the helpful older sister that she was always trying to be, she had to take up the role of ninja once again so that she could join him.

She knew that Shin and herself would be doing low rank missions to start and so she didnt think too much about what they could possibly be doing. Plus she was a Uchiha, a proud one at that so she was ready for whatever challenge came their way. She would leave the family house shortly after Shin had left, and she would make her way to meet him. When she arrived at the village mission board she would immediately see Shin and yell out “Baby brother!!! Im hereeeeeeeee~” She would then playfully skip over to him. Once in arms length she would wrap her arm around his head before saying “So did you pick out any good missions for us? Or did you just pick the really boring ones?”

It was just after Shin had picked the missions him and his sister would be undertaking that day when he hear a familiar and very loud voice yelling for him. “Of course got to be as loud as possible.” Shin muttered to himself chuckling as his Older sister Echo skipped towards the taller younger brother and put her arm around his head asking him if he had picked anything good or were they just going to be boring.

Getting his head out from under her arm and standing back up to full height he smiled at his smaller older sister. She was 4 years older then himself and had went the path of a medical shinobi and was just now coming back to progress through the rankings. “Some I’m sure will be boring as we are at the bottom of the totem pole.” Shin said as he passed the mission slips over to Echo.

“I picked ones that we could do quickly as they all take place pretty close to each other.” He pointed out as he showed what he meant on the slips. “I figured it would go by faster if we didn’t have to trek all over the village to finish them,” He said with a smile. “Also we get to work with some animals for a couple and I even grabbed one that had some researching to be done since you like that kind of stuff.” Shin said pointing out the last mission that asked for a report. He was pretty sure that these would suffice for his sister on their first bundle of missions to work through.

Echo would listen as Shin spoke about the missions, and to be honest she was glad that her little brother had picked missions that were easy. She wasn’t ready to get involved with anything to high rank just yet, however they were only genuine like he had mentioned and so it made sense that these were the kinds of missions they would get. She would look the slips over as Shin showed them to her which would make her think *Easy enough I suppose…* Now it was time for the siblings to go make stuff happen.

Echo would look to Shin saying “I think we should do the stuff with the animals first, if we are lucky this will be right up my alley and I can heal them… if not we will most likely both be useless.” Echo would then look to Shin as she would say “Ok little brother you lead the way… im just a fly on the wall pay me no mind.”

“Alright then, lets go knock out some missions.” Shin would say after Echo had him take the lead. They would head to the local animal shelter to take on both the Dog walking mission and the extra help the shelter needed for the other mission. When they arrived there Shin approached the front desk, “Morning, We are here to help with these missions.” He would say as he produced the slips to the guy behind the desk who would then look over them and nod remembering these being put up. “Perfect so for these two missions one is just a simple walking some of our canine friends around the area so they can stretch their legs and the other is a bit more urgent as two of our cats got out of their cages and escaped through the hole in the back that we have been trying to get repaired.” The man behind the counter would explain to both of the siblings.
 
“If you guys could first repair that hole first and locate the cats then take the animals for a walk that would be perfect or if you guys want to split up someone taking the dogs and another fix the hole and find the cats I don’t mind. I just need these done sooner then later.” The man said with a desperate look on his face.
 
“Well Sis I can go ahead and work on the hole and finding the cats as I’m sure they haven’t strayed to far from here. So if you want to take the dogs for their walk I’m sure we can knock these two out quickly.” Shin would offer as he asked the man where the supplies and hole were. Shin was more then ready to get thing started and moving as he grabbed up the needed wood and nails to repair the wall. Whether Echo followed along or went about doing the other mission Shin would take lead more so on this one as it was simple manual labor that Shin enjoyed. So he fitted the boards as needed and nailed them into place making sure that it was sturdy on the outside with no gaps and sturdy from the inside so they wouldn’t just pop off the next time one of the animals of the shelter wanted to test it out. Overall it didn’t take long and he was pretty satisfied with that outcome, though now came locating the two cats who he hoped had stayed somewhat close to the shelter.

Echo would let off a big smile when Shin would say to her “Lets go knock out some missions.” The idea seemed so foreign in her head. It had been so long since she had done a mission of any kind. She was somewhat nervous though as she was about to find herself outside of her comfort zone. The female Uchiha would begin to follow behind her brother, as they would begin to make their way through the village and towards their first destination which was the animal shelter. Upon their arrival to the shelter Shin would continue on with his taking the lead as he would speak to the man at the front desk. For anyone who didn’t know better Shin taking the lead seemed like the right thing because for one he was a man, and for two he was taller than Echo which gave people the idea he was older. However his height and his age in comparison to Echo did not translate to that at all, as she was the older sibling after all. She would simply allow him to lead because she felt that she was here simply as a guardian or helper, and so she wanted him to experience doing these things for himself.

Shin would say to the man at the front desk that they were here to take on the missions they had posted up on the village mission board. Shin would even show the man the slips that were posted as a way to confirm with the man what he was talking about. The man at the desk would say how he remembered them being posted and would begin to give the details of the jobs that needed to be done. The first mission was simply to take the dogs on a walk, allowing them to stretch their legs and possibly handle their doggie duties. The second job was to fix a hole they had in the wall, and find two cats who managed to escape using said hole. Echo was surely not trying to do such a manly task a fixing a hole in the wall, and so she was ready to pass the job down to Shin.

After the man at the desk finished giving details of the missions, Shin would speak saying that he would fix the hole something that made her smile heavily. Her face would be filled with glee as she would say “Thank god, I thought you were gonna try to make me try to do that!” She would then turn to face the man at the desk before saying “Hey mister show me to the doggies!” Echo seemed fair more than happy to take the dogs for a walk, in fact she was excited to take them for a walk. She was so happy because of how much she secretly liked animals and dogs were probably her favorite animal. After asking her question the man would usher her towards the back where the dog cages were located. Echo would then give Shin a hug before saying “Well little brother good luck on your part of the mission. I’ll see you back here when im done taking the dogs out."

Shin continued his work as his sister went to take part of another part of their missions. Once the wall was fixed and taken care of he went searching for the two cats that had gotten out, making sure to grab some snacks and their descriptions he ran around the area looking in any normal spot for the cats and eventually he was able to find the two missing cats coaxing them into his reach with the snacks. Making sure to take them back quickly Shin then moved to help clean the cages as needed. It wouldn’t be long until Echo was back from the walk and once that was completed they could go take care of the rest of the missions which was write a report on something of cultural, historical or architectural significance to the village and help the Painter’s Guild clean their equipment.

Once Echo did return they would get the slips signed by the worker there so that those had been taken care of and Shin continued his leading to the Painter’s Guild. “Alright we just help these guys out and then we make that report and we are all set for the day. Knocking out four missions at once.” Shin would say with a smile on his face to his sister. They were making good time and progress for their first team up. “Not to bad for a day’s work if I’m being honest.” He would finish saying as they showed up to the Painter’s Guild. Going to the front desk as usual Shin produced the slip for the request as the worker looked it over and directed them to the needed room to clean off the brushes and buckets as needed. “There isn’t many in there but it would be great if you guys could take care of them.” The front desk mentioned as they left the siblings to deal with the dirty work.

“Well this is some simple work heck we could get this done fast and finish that report and be home before dinner.” Shin mentioned as he grabbed a couple of buckets to take out and fill with water and let them soak and filled some buckets with water so they could clean the brushes as they waited for the buckets to finish soaking. “If all the missions are this easy I would say we will be able to fly through the ranks.” Shin said with some optimism.

After she made her way to the back Echo would see 4 medium sized dogs who all seemed eager to see her, as they seemed to already know what the deal was. Echo would look at the dogs with a face of glee as she said to them "Oh hey there friends! My name is Echo! Are you guys ready to go for a walk?" After she said this the dogs would all begin to bark a bit as they seemed to all get happier. Echo would then begin to put colars on the four dogs, followed by attaching them all to a single leash handle. While such a practice could be seen as bad by most dog walkers due to the fact it allowed the dogs to use group power to overwhelm the walker, Echo was able to circumvent this by using her above average physical strength. Her being as strong as she was would make her able to control all of the dogs with ease, even if they all tried to work together to foil her.

After getting the dogs onto a leash Echo would take them all outside and begin their walk around the village. As Echo took the dogs on their walk she would be sure to hit a few key locations to make sure the dogs had gotten everything they needed from this small adventure. First Echo would take them through a stroll through some back alleys, this was so they could get nose activity by smelling all the different smells of the village and its residents trash. The next stop was to a local park where she would let the dogs run about and even play fetch with the small creatures for a bit. Before leaving the park and heading back to the animal shelter Echo would take the dogs past a very big tree in the park to allow them to use the bathroom.

Once Echo had returned she would take the dogs back into their area in the back where she would release their collars and leashes. Coming back to the front of the shelter she would see Shin getting the mission slips signed so that they could head over to the painter's guild to do the next set of jobs. As the brother and sister duo made their way to their next destination Shin would tell Echo what was going to happen next. After a short breakdown from her brother it would seem that they had arrived at the painter's guild. As soon as they walked in Shin would hand the slips over to the woman at the desk letting her know that they were there for the mission. After hearing the woman's words Shin immediately got to work. Echo would simply watch for a moment as she thought about how much her little brother had grown and matured. She then heard how her brother would say how if all missions were this easy that they would move through the ranks quickly.

Hearing this sent a chill down Echo's spine just a bit, as she knew the reality of this ninja world. A reality her brother may not have grasped or gotten to experience first hand as he was still pretty young. Echo working in the medical center for the village had seen a lot... she had seen the toll that missions of higher ranks had on the people who took them. She did not want such fates to befall her brothers or younger sister, which is what had her here to begin with. She would move closer to her brother to begin helping him clean the brushes, however her face would be filled with a bit of sadness mixed with a bit of serious. She would look to Shin and say "I dont ever wanna hear you think like that again...ok? All missions wont be this easy, in fact its best that you enjoy this now while you can because things will only get worse from here."

It seemed that Shin’s words had upset his older sister. “Yeah of course. Might have gotten a bit to excited for all this.” Shin said with a smile as they finished up the tasks they needed to do. “Alright let’s go turn this in to the people needed and collect our rewards.” Shin offered as he picked up his report and begun to lead the way back to the building that housed the mission board. “At least we got some missions taken care of and we can head on back home for some food.” Shin mused as he thought about the bowls of rice he would be devouring when they got back and he hoped that someone was cooking meat today.
