Trouble in the mist (mission) Empty Trouble in the mist (mission)

Mon Jun 04, 2012 2:33 pm
The sun was just rising over the village hidden in the mist and people were just waking up, but Nietzsche had already been up for an hour or so. Late in the previous day he had been assigned the mission to take down posters that had appeared overnight defaming the Mizukage. Nietzsche did not know much about the mist village’s Kage, but he felt a certain duty to protect his name. So as Nietzsche walked the streets he scanned every inch of them: the alleyways, shops and any other place he could see or think of. The people who posted them had been very sporadic in their placement. Some posters were even hidden in places out of sight: under benches and bar stools. Stooping down to pick up one of the posters that had fallen to the ground Nietzsche spotted something suspicious happening on the corner of the street he was patrolling.

Two men were standing together talking softly. Each wore long brown cloaks and carried a black messenger bag. Nietzsche could swear he heard the ruffle of papers and clink of nails coming from the two men’s bags. Walking slowly Nietzsche entered a near by shop, from which he could observe the two men. Unfortunately the door slammed with a loud thud as Nietzsche entered the store. Upon hearing the noise the two men looked around quickly then nodded to each other and seemingly vanished before Nietzsche’s eyes—They must have body flickered away. No matter I should finish cleaning up these posters, dam they are everywhere thought Nietzsche. Retuning to the streets Nietzsche walked up to the corner and found yet another poster on the ground where the two men had been. Keeping in mind the two men Nietzsche walked onward; he still had a quarter of the city left to sweep and the midday sun was just starting to fall.

(sometime later that day)

By now the infamous mist of the mist village was rolling in like a slow and winding snake, it coiled around each house and street corner; the day was coming to a close and Nietzsche still had an eighth of the city left to clean up. Also the bag his was collecting these posters in was getting quite full. He got some weird looks from people as he dropped some of the posters on the ground. He hastily picked them up and explained to angry onlookers that he was cleaning up the posters not putting them up, but he was still scolded by an old lady who couldn’t seem to hear Nietzsche’s excuses. Nietzsche officially decided that this mission had been one of his most boring ones yet, but he pushed through it in hopes that the next one would be better. He went down street after street and even found some streets he never knew existed in the mist village. Until at last rounding what seemed like the millionth corner he found himself back where he had begun. With a sigh of relief Nietzsche made his way back to the mission center for his next mission and of course his reward. After that he planned on stopping by a restaurant and picking up food as a reward for himself on a job well done. Then he planned on going home in hopes of getting a restful nights sleep. (word: 556 D rank mission done )
