A Missing Ninja and a Tiger (IO) (p)
Wed Nov 04, 2015 12:31 am
Kira paced around back and forth in the middle of her small apartment. The tournament in Sunagakure was beginning in a few days, yet that wasn’t why she was pacing around for. The boy she had met not too long ago had fled, left Suna without a word. In a regular case, this wouldn’t be so much of an issue, but here it was. Why you may ask? because he said that when he planned on leaving, he would take her with her. She had counted on him to take her with him. She was upset, disappointed, she wanted answers. She had trusted the boy, trusted him with her most deepest of darkest of secrets. Now, he had just fled without word, as if their interaction had meant nothing. What could this mean? had the boy fooled her at her own game, left her looking like nothing but a jester. She had trusted him, believed every word that came through his mouth. They had seen each as their most vulnerable, but was that all just a lie? To get her to confess? Was he some sort of spy trying to get information on Sunagakure? There were just so many questions, questions that needed answers! She couldn’t just let him get away with this large crime. Well, it was a large crime to her.
At her current state, there was a small chance that Koroshi would let her leave the village on hero own. While she had progressed far as a Genin, she was still just that, a Genin. And if the rumours were true, Konoha was suffering from a lost of a Hokage, so they would definitely be on high alert of all outside ninja who headed there. Now to those reading this, you may wonder to yourself, how does Kira know that Salzem left the village as well was headed towards Konoha? Well due to the mark seal she placed on him of course. The feint pull of chakra that she felt was coming from the direction Konoha was in, and considering that was the Missing Ninja’s origins, that’s where he was headed. If the worst was true about the boy, he was on his way back to report all the information he had found about the Sand Village. Her blood finally boiling with all the possibilities running through her mind, Kira stormed out of her apartment. She was going to find a way to get him back over here. She wanted answers, and she wanted them NOW.
The Uzumaki headed down the hot streets. The sand was hot, the air was hot, the beaming ray of hotness that hit her hot face and the not so hot men who walked around the hot village, and the Uzumaki, who was the hottest thing of all, attracted all the hotness of the hot hot. Point is, it was hot. Kira found herself near the centre of the village, where the massive library which contained many scrolls. The scroll she was looking for was that containing the arts of the summoning jutsu. Since she had placed a seal on the boy, she might be able to summon him back and get the answers she needed. At least, she was pretty sure she could. It was damn worth the try.
She entered the library by slamming open the double doors, sending a loud bass through the long halls of scroll and a lot of turn heads. Most importantly, it earned Kira a loud SHHHHH from the librarian that looked like she was about ready to smack the girl in the face with a very long ruler. Not wanting big long red mark across her face, The Uzumaki tip toed through the library, making her way down secured sections of the library where jutsu scrolls were located. She looked through the multiple scrolls. Some were hidden jutsu special to the village, some were basic jutsu that she had already learned long ago. Some were super awesome jutsu that she would hope to learn one day. One was a jutsu that she was currently working on that she wanted to curse to all hell! But finally, she found the specific scroll that she was looking for. The scroll for the Summoning Jutsu.
Kira found a seat seat secluded from everyone else and began to read through it. it read:
The Summoning technique is a space-time ninjutsu that as slows the summoner to transport animals or people across long distance instantly and uses blood as a sacrifice….
A lightbulb went off above her head as she read this. So it was true! By what it said so far, she would in fact be able to summon Salzem if she could just master the technique. There was a lot of stuff about summoning animals and stuff, all that sounded really really REALLY cool but it was something that she would look into later. As much as she’d love to befriend a species of animals and have like an awesome Liger pet, there were more important matters at hand, summoning Sal back to Sunagakure for some answers. The heterochromatic eyed girl studied the scroll, and every single bit of its content, even the parts about summoning animals. If she was going to learn this technique, she was going to need to learn every single part of doing it. The hours seemed to go by, ticking and rocking as small beads of sweet went down Kira’s face. She focused long and hard on the words that were presented to her. About what was needed in order to summon Salzem back to Sunagakure, where she would apprehend him and question him. Sure, she didn’t want it to be true. She wanted Sal to be innocent of what she was thinking he was guilty of. There had to be another reason, Kira had to find that reason.
Her interest in finding an animal species to summon quickly returned as continued to read through the scroll. The girl found a scroll and within it’s contents, had the location of where she could find the contract to sign with the Tiger species. Even with her current dilemma, her eyes couldn’t help but sparkle like they usually do when she comes across something she loves, whether that be a finding 10,000 ryo or a nice fruity beverage on a hot suna day. The location of it was not too far either, being near Suna’s borders. Now that she realized it, that was just the place she needed to be in order to summon Sal for some answers, since being in the village seemed to be too great of a distance for her capabilities. Looks like everything was falling into place after all. It was time to get to work, the clock was ticking, and God only knows where Sal was.

The Uzumaki sat in the library for hours, studying the technique scroll to make sure that she knew the jutsu inside out. She practiced over and over onto the scroll, summoning basic objects by biting down on her thumb. A few time, they came out disfigured. She even managed to turn a spoon into bent screw driver. But with lots of time spent on practicing the jutsu, she was finally able to figure out the kinks of how to use the technique. She had finally figured out how to use it, and it was no time to get some of the answers she was looking for. Kira rolled up the scroll she had been practicing on right after taking some notes about where to find the location of the Tiger’s summoning contract. She placed the scroll back and tiptoed out of the library to avoid getting the usual smack from the librarian.
The Heterochromatic eyed girl sprinted back to her small, but comfy apartment. She made her way to her special drawer where her equipment was located and loaded her tool pouches. She took once last glance at herself in the mirror before tightening her headband that rested over he head before she headed out. Kira leaped from building to building, making her way to the village gates before signing out and heading towards the infamous desert. Going through the scorching desert was quite torturous, it really was. I mean it was hot, humid, dry, hot, dry, HOT. Luckily, the Uzumaki didn’t come empty handed. With her, she brought enough water to make it to the border, and then refill near the stream that was right near the border.
Her travels through the sandy desert was quite brutal. It was a good thing she brought her white scarf since the wind picked up and a mild sandstorm began to brew. She placed the scarf over her mouth and nose, while reaching into the backpack she brought and pulled out a pair of goggles to keep the sand from getting into her eyes. The time she spent walking through the desert was the more time she had to reflect on what she was about to do, about the time she spent with Sal, everything. Rage began to boil her blood. How could she be so stupid to trust some outsider with her biggest secret that she had yet to tell everyone, not even the Kazekage. She was an idiot, an absolute idiot. Tears began to develop in her eyes, but not because she was sad, but because she was livid. It only made sense that the boy must have been some sort of spy. He fooled her, making her pity him in order to get intel. Who knows who else he tricked to get information on Sunagakure. Kira wasn’t sure if there was any tension between the two villages, but from her point of view it did look like Konoha was trying to stir up trouble. Konoha, or whomever else Salzem was associated with.
The Uzumaki wasn’t sure who else fell victim to Salzem’s games, how many people he must have tricked to get the information he was looking for. For all she knew, he currently had a map of the village, including its weak spots, it’s strongest kunoichi, and most important to her, her secret as an Uzumaki. She could recall the storied he told her of the ninja who went into Konoha, attacking those who held bloodlines. Could it be possible that Sal himself was on of these ninja? Of course he could! He probably was! There were too many thoughts wandering around Kira’s brain, scrambled up and it was definitely starting to cause her a total migraine.
The sandstorm began to subside, just as she was able to calm down and cool of the headache she had caused herself. Kira removed the scarf from over her mouth as well as the goggles she had on, and placed them back into her bag. She continued running at a steady pace, but took a second to observe the area around her as she made her way towards the border. The sky was clear of puffy clouds. It was an ocean of blue, with the sun being a stain in the pureness the engulfed the ceiling of the world. In a world where Kira wasn’t searching for a Missing Ninja, it would have been quite the mystical view. If it were also a world where she wasn’t searching for a Missing Ninja and was all quite a talented painter, it would have made for a painting to be worth millions! But there were bigger issues at hands than the landscape that surrounded the kunoichi.
Her trip had been long and hard, but she was close to approaching the border of the Wind country and Fire Country. She still felt the chakra signature that she had attached to the boy when they first met. A certain doubt filled Kira’s mind as something new filled her mind. If Sal was truly what The Uzumaki thought he was, then why hadn’t he removed to seal she placed on him? Surely, it would have been one of the first things he would have done. The girl looked downed at the one she let him place on her. Was that something he planned too? To mark he so him and his pals could find her later? Tsk, well Kira wasn’t going to give them the opportunity to come and find her, or worse yet, them summon her first. She was now approaching the borders, and so now came the moment of truth.
