It was another day in the village hidden in the mist for Kizmaru as he sat down at his desk doing paperwork. It wasn't as an eventful day as usual and he would kind of just sit there signing his life away. He was sure most of the previous leaders around the world would like a quiet desk job where all he had to do was push papers around all day and reap the benefits but Kizmaru wanted at least a little bit more enjoyment out of his life other than paperwork and conference meetings with the influential people of his village to hear them voice their complaints or kiss up to make themselves look more appealing when it comes to trivial standings and applications. Disgusting, Kizmaru thought to himself as he grit his teeth in contempt. As he continued to review and sign off on papers that didn't really seem as important to him as they did five seconds ago, Kizmaru could hear somebody trotting down his corridor approaching his office in a bit of a hurry. This puzzled him as he would usually get a notification that somebody was coming to visit him but alas this time he didn't as he could hear the person shouting, "Lord Mizukage! Lord Mizukage!"

Well, this didn't matter to him much as he was always prepared whether its concealing his identity or being ready for war. Wearing his Mizukage robes and hat with a veil draped over his face to hide his identity, it was also to conceal his normal attire of his Jounin Flak Jacket covering his yellow button down shirt, navy blue pants and ninja tabi. This time, he decided to wear a tie underneath his robes for whatever reason. His appearance aside, Kizmaru went right back to keeping his eyes glued on the door until the voice was perceived to be right in front of the doorway. "Lord Mizukage, may I enter the office," a voice had asked. Rolling his eyes, Kizmaru had given a halfhearted "come in'' before the door was meekly pushed open by a shinobi he didn't recognize. Looking them up and down, all he could gather was that they were a shinobi of his village that was assigned under Captain Xijion's gate guardian squad. Placing both of his hands onto the desk in front of him, Kizmaru abruptly stood up as the shinobi came towards the desk, holding a scroll in front of him. "OUT WITH THE REPORT," bellowed Kizmaru as he stood there, wondering what was so urgent.

If they were being attacked, Xijion should have just contacted him right away through the communications system they had in place instead of sending one of the able bodied shinobi here that could be defending against such a threat. "Are we under attack," Kizmaru had asked. The shinobi shook their head no, as they began to explain. "No, no the threat is over Captain Xijion has dealt with it. It was a young male from Konoha that had come here under the guise of negotiations only to reveal his true intentions by drawing his blade against the captain," the shinobi said now kneeling on one knee, fist planted on the ground as a gesture of respect. Kizmaru waived that nonsense away, demanding the shinobi to stand up and continue the report and asking the aftermath of the battle. "Captain Xijion was successful in stopping the intruder and placed his body into this storage scroll to deliver to you along with his report. He said it might interest you a bit as to what genetic traits the boy might have." Kizmaru blinks, wondering what it could be. He wasn't exactly hiding his intentions of obtaining power through spliced DNA but at the same time, he didn't think people would be so bold to spread it around either.

Either way, if Xijion was so sure that Kizmaru would like it, then he'd have no choice but to take a look. Before he dismissed his shinobi, Kizmaru asked if that was all he had to report. "Well, there is one more thing Mizukage, sir. Captain Xijion requested that when you're done your 'business' he would like the corpse back so he can give it a proper burial." Kizmaru pondered on the request for a moment wondering what would possess him to want to bury the enemy that had drawn his weapon first. Well, Kizmaru would never know, he assumed. Sighing, he told the shinobi that seemed to be awaiting a response that he could make no promises. The shinobi nodded, handing Kizmaru the corpse scroll before exiting the office in order to return to their given post. Clutching the scroll in hand, Kizmaru wondered what to do about this. Well, first thing is first, he'd need a medical specialist to perform an autopsy as well as an examination to determine the genetics this corpse has. He assumed it was still fresh if he was given it at this point in time. He wondered if he should go in his Jounin persona but he figured this would go smoothly if he remained as an authority figure for this one.

Reaching over his desk, Kizmaru had picked up the phone before pressing three numbers to call his receptionist. He had told them to arrange for any available medical specialist to be ready to meet the Mizukage at the hospital for some urgent business. He'd like to get to the bottom of this mystery and soon. Exiting his office, he remained in his Mizukage attire as he began to make his way to the lobby of the Kage estate, where he would radio his bodyguard, Scyxion to shadow him but keep out of sight until they made it to their destination. He then began making his way to the hospital, entering through the emergency entrance upon arrival. He was then ushered into a private medical room in which he waited for a medical specialist. Shortly after appearing in the room, Scyxion was also in the room, suppressing his chakra and skulking ever so lightly in the corner of the room, out of sight waiting for whoever would be tending to the Mizukage. Kizmaru began to examine the scroll, a bit curious to open it up but knew it would do no good as he didn't have the means to identify the corpse himself. Well, his wait began as he sat down on the foot of a hospital bed, waiting.

*BBRRRRING!*

The ringing of the phone is absolutely not Mino's problem - she's here to solve problems, not deal with the public. At the moment, the problem she is solving is the incompetence of the hospital's clerical staff. The busy office is abuzz around the pair as Mino tears into the sweaty, middle-aged clerk, his eyes darting back and forth behind his little round glasses in desperation for an escape route.

"Mino, I said I'm sorry-"

"I will be arranging remedial handwriting lessons for you with the ten-year-olds at the academy," Mino says to the cringing hospital administration worker, glaring over the edge of a file that she had turned the entire building over for. The name had been both illegible and the file three floors away from its proper home - the latter being the greater crime, but the former making for the better insult.  "As for your organizational 'skills' -"

"Kurokabi - phone!" the receptionist calls, piercing over the din, the tiny woman muscling through people in quite the hurry to reach Mino.

"I'm busy," Mino retorts, quite engaged with berating this clerk, but the serious - kind of deeply worried? - the expression on the receptionist's face gives her pause. "...what is it?"

"It's the director, and it's urgent!" when, a small whisper, that only Mino is able to hear - "It's about the Mizukage."

In an instant, Mino is at the phone. The clerk immediately makes his escape.

"This is Kurokabi."

The following conversation quells Mino's initial concern that their leader is in danger, but her stony expression as she strides out of the office leaves the staff whispering to one another in worry, their previous buzz of work abandoned for the moment. It's best that they are kept out of the loop - it won't do to spread rumors.

Kizmaru likely hears Mino coming down the hallway, the 'clack-clack' of her shoes resounding across the hallway - footsteps that triple as she tucks her clipboard under her arm and forms the clone seal, two shadow clones forming on either side of her. They dart off to take up positions at the hospital's main and emergency entrances (the only two entrances not locked when approached from the outside), and to ensure that the staff has been informed to be on alert for suspicious people or activity.

Mino opens the door. His first impression of her might be that she has a sort of tired, reserved air - the slight asymmetry of one glass eye is likely obvious. "Lord Second," she greets, inclining her head to him, and then to Scyxion in turn when she scans the room and notes him (he has quite the talent for hiding in plain sight, befitting an ANBU) - "Commander." She returns her gaze to her veiled Mizukage, curiosity as always tugging at her as to what face lies behind that cloth. For the moment, however, there are more important things to worry about. She notes the familiar form of a corpse storage scroll in his hands. What's this about, then? She can't raise the dead. Yet.

"How can I be of service to you today?"

Waiting in the emergency room, Kizmaru could hear the sound of somebody approaching the room he was currently occupying. He hoped for his sake it was the medical specialist he had been waiting for so he could hurry and get this over with. Listening to the door open, Kizmaru began to grip the scroll tighter as he tried to anticipate the worst happening. Alas, it was the specialist he assumed was the one coming to aid him in the identification of the body that's contained in the scroll. Looking at the specialist enter the room, he decided to make note of her physical features. He noticed she has a kind of beige skin, dark eyes wrinkled as if she was always busy and didn't get much sleep. Her hair is short, wavy and seemingly edging into the beginnings of a curly, bleached blonde with obvious dark roots from not-so-meticulous maintenance. Well, she's not the first person Kizmaru encountered that looks like they've had long days and even he has it pretty bad being held up in the office most of the time. Well, none of that was his concern at the moment. She greeted him by calling him, "Lord Second" to which Kizmaru just slowly nodded his head.

It seems she had then spotted Scyxion, who tried his best to keep himself concealed from outside interference detecting his presence. He had also given a slight nod to the sound of 'commander' before going back into his silent, concentrated state. Similar to Kizmaru, Scyxion was also hiding his face but he's been doing it for so long not even Kizmaru had known what he looks like underneath the hood. Well, he was sure he had his reasons. On to business, Kizmaru thought to himself as the female specialist asked. Taking the scroll in hand, Kizmaru had unlocked it and dumped the contents out onto the bed that he happened to be sitting on. "Yes well, let's get to it then shall we? I guess I'll make this short but it seems as if one of my proteges thinks the genetics that lie within this body would be of use to me but probably is, I'm not a medical expert and I can't confirm that for myself. What I need you to do is perform a thorough examination on the body and discover what powers or secrets they might hold. if it has something that I might be able to use in the future then I';i'll gladly take it and will have to ask you to perform the surgery the same day. I hope this doesn't inconvenience you miss, uh..."

Kizmaru hadn't gotten a name from her and wasn't sure what to call her so he corrected himself and just replied with 'doctor' instead. Standing up, Kizmaru had decided to look at the corpse of the shinobi that tried to attack Xijion. Kizmaru exhaled through his nostrils as he thought to himself, "What an idiot, coming and challenging another village at such a young age." The eyes were closed but he decided that he didn't want to touch the body just yet until after the lady doctor over there began her work."Well, i hope we can get this over with." With that, Kizmaru had stood up and decoded to inspect it just by looking.

Mino watches, dumbfounded, as the Mizukage stands and dumps the twisted and bloody corpse of a teenage boy on to the examination bed.

"This hospital - is equipped with a mortuary," she chokes. She takes a deep breath, and very slowly exhales, thinking back to her HR-mandated anger management training. Alright. She's cool, she's alright, she's fine. The picture of composure. Moving along. "...pardon me... for not introducing myself. Kurokabi Mino, Chunin. ...I will, hypothetically, be able to perform surgery today, yes. In a different room,"  she notes with a glance and a look of deep distaste towards the corpse. Fresh bodies recovered from storage scrolls are always messier to work with than chilled cadavers. This one is bleeding all over the bed and floor, for example. Mino takes a brief moment to picture a calm, serene lake. Ah, there's a bird there, too. How nice.

"I will require access to your medical files in order to make informed and safe decisions in that regard, particularly with you desiring it be done so soon. You understand that such a procedure will be riskier in the long term without going through the usual channels."
Tissue rejection is vanishingly rare amongst shinobi, thankfully, but there is still the possibility that this boy's organs carry unknown health problems or that the Mizukage himself may have underlying conditions contraindicating transplants. Mino is, of course, unaware of the transplanted kidney already doing its job quite healthily and happily in Kizmaru's body. She's already making assumptions that the corpse before them does indeed contain some manner of bloodline. Her instinct is that it wouldn't be so urgent if it weren't already as good as confirmed.

"Is there an associated mission report?"  She asks. They had not been all that forthcoming in exactly where this body came from. "Any information on him will be useful for identification purposes. organs carrying bloodlines are notoriously finicky, and I wouldn't want to risk damaging any - particularly the eyes - by taking unnecessary samples -" she seems to realize something, mouth twisting into a frown - and she pokes her head out into the room to yell down the hallway at a passing intern, "YAMANAKA! get me my cooler from the mortuary, now!" The poor boy just about jumps out of his skin. "One of the cameras, too, and whatever autopsy equipment you can carry!"

Mino then swiftly sheds her flak jacket and locates a bouffant cap and gloves, paying a visit to the sink to wash her hands while she haphazardly suits up. This isn't entirely alien to her - she's had to carve up bodies in the field under worse circumstances. Still, of course, she hates waste. If it weren't under the orders of the Mizukage, she would be nailed to the wall for having a dead body on one of the examination beds - she's still not quite sure she'll get away with it scot-free. She is saving any thoughts on how she will judge his character for this after she has finished doing delicate work on his internal organs.

Mino opens her senses as she approaches Tadashi's body, taking in the flow of chakra within the room. There does not appear to be any active jutsu on his person. She cannot discount the possibility of a post-mortem assassination attempt. Carefully, she removes his armor, weapons, and other equipment, placing them delicately aside on the countertop. Underneath all the pomp and flair is the broken corpse of a fourteen-year-old boy.

A child that their village's leader is about to scrap for spare parts. How sad. It's with Mino's active assistance, of course, so she cannot be too judgmental. As distasteful as she finds it, disobedience never seriously crosses her mind.

The lad's face and chest are caked in fresh blood, presumably from the traumatic removal of his nose. There's enough blood that Mino at first doesn't realize that his hair is red as well. The flesh of where his nose used to be is roughly torn, the cartilage twisted in a way that would make a less seasoned professional cringe. The intense melange of purple, black and green bruising on his neck - and the twisted angle of his head - seems to indicate that he was killed by snapping his neck. Mino records all of this in a scrawl upon her clipboard, flipping to a blank page to begin her work. It'll have to be transferred to a proper form later.

Mino brushes his hair away from his neck, examining the bruising more closely.

"Unknown seal on his throat, here," she notes, squinting at the form of the Flying Thunder God jutsu marking. it's difficult to fully make out, from the heavy discoloration of Tadashi's skin underneath it. "...and another, just behind his ear. It would be best for me to take photographs and then break these before I begin carving him up."

Taking his left hand to his chin, Kizmaru began to stroke it as he hadn't thought about the mortuary that happened to be close by. He was honestly focused on the specific parts of the boy he could use as his own abilities in order to further his own power, even if it was stolen power. Regardless, Kizmaru turned his head directly towards the face of the woman that would be assisting him today and shrugged with a blank expression behind his face. Placing his hand down from his chin, Kizmaru continued to listen to the woman in front of him. She was now in the middle of introducing herself and had told Kizmaru that her name was Kurokabi Mino and that she was a chuunin. She also mentioned something about hypothetically being able to do surgery today. Kizmaru figured he'd cross that bridge when they get there, if they get there. Who was to say he wanted what Xijion sent him. Regardless, he figured he'd go through with the check. Hopefully, this wouldn't take up too much of his time as he had other plans he promised himself he would continue with his activities. Now for the tricky part.

The doctor here is asking Kizmaru for his medical records. As far as Kizmaru knew, he didn't have any such records for the sake of concealing his identity. After all, the last doctor he went to was some shady Aburame that seems to have disappeared abruptly, which was fine for Kizmaru. Well, he assumed he didn't have medical records under his alias but only by his birth name. Shifting his eyes towards the left side of the room, Kizmaru pondered on how this situation would play out. He still wasn't entirely sure what was even valuable enough for Xijion to hand him a corpse like this to consider getting the surgery today. For now, Kizmaru would put that matter aside and focus on one step at a time. Looking back towards the doctor, Kizmaru had thought of a response to her initial request. "Procedure? Medical files? I don't have any of those for this body. All I want at the moment is to identify this shinobi's genetic makeup to tell me what bloodline he has, if he even has a known one. If not, then I guess I'll honor a request made to me. If there is something to my liking, then we can talk about medical records belonging to myself."

Kizmaru continued, "As for the mission report, I'll tell you what I was told. This here, 'diplomat' came to negotiate for peace, couldn't get by the gate guard, lost his temper and proceeded to attack before he was dispatched by the Captain of the gate guards. That's the bare bones of it. Other than that, I'm unclear of the events that have unfolded myself. All I was told was this boy possesses power that I had been interested in for a long time and it may be of use to me now. I don't know what it may be since this is the first time I've seen the body myself. Though, I wish the captain had just told me what it was." After his responses, it seems the woman had gone out to yell at her presumed assistant with the last name of Yamanaka. Kizmaru was familiar with that last name but he had his doubts that it was connected with the clan that once resided solely in Konoha. Probably just a common last name, he assumed. Apparently, the good doctor was yelling for the equipment to start the procedure of identifying the traits of the shinobi in question. It seems the woman was almost ready to begin.

Kizmaru had gotten up from where he was initially sitting to make room for the doctor to work. Slowly pacing across the room, he placed his hands behind his back, wrapping his lend hand around his right wrist. He wasn't sure when he picked up this habit, but he seemed to recall elder, prestigious people doing this often which made them seem a bit more mature, at least in Kizmaru's eyes anyway. He would then silently watch the woman work, awaiting the news of her discoveries with anticipation. At this point in time, he couldn't help but wonder what Captain Xijion means by something he had been interested in for a long time.

"Of course." Mino waves off his caginess. So long as she can see his medical history before she's directly responsible for his life, she's satisfied. "I'll take samples and send them to the lab, then. We should expect results within a few hours."

Kira Yamanaka returns in a hurry, arms full of various sharp doodads, an organ cooler - and what Mino is most interested in for the moment, a camera. She swipes it unceremoniously from the top of the pile, examines it for a brief moment, and then gets to work. The boy, looking to be in his late teens, stands awkwardly, presumably waiting for a 'thank you' that never comes. His dusty, buzzed blond hair and pupil-free blue eyes seem to indicate he is indeed a Yamanaka. Slowly, he begins to realize that he is trapped here, face falling into a mask of despair as he realizes who he is sharing the room with. "Lord Mizukage," he manages, bowing abruptly - and immediately adjusting his grip as the bundle of equipment in his arms threatens to clatter all over the floor.

Meanwhile, there's a loud 'click' 'click' as Mino snaps two photographs, one of the Flying Thunder God jutsu marking and one of the telepathy seal. Then, her fingers light up with chakra, and she presses it to the marking. The flying thunder god seal does not respond - firmly rebutting her chakra. Not like a seal that is simply too powerful for her to break - more like a round hole rejecting a square peg.

"Interesting. This isn't fuinjutsu." She slices the skin of the seal is placed upon with the practiced swipe of a scalpel and bags it up, taking the organ cooler from Kira and sealing the skin sample inside. Even if it is dangerous, it should be out of their hair while tucked away in extradimensional space, and this way they can take a closer look at it another time.

"Bear with me, this is going to take a moment." Mino lights up another instance of fuinjutsu breaking and presses her fingers to the telepathy seal, focusing intently as she unravels it.

Soon enough, there's a blue spark of chakra, and the seal vanishes. Mino gives the body a once-over, and satisfied that any potentially troublesome seals have been removed, she picks the scalpel back up.

"Let's get to work."

Watching the doctor work, Kizmaru was quite impressed with how serious this one took her work. One thing was for sure, he'd come back to her if everything went well today, hopefully doing it in a more 'appropriate' manner than what he's done today. Still, it was quite amusing to see her reaction to it but alas, this was neither for here or there. As he was lost in thought, it seems as if Mino's assistant had returned with the requested items she had yelled for earlier. Staring at the blond man, maybe Kizmaru's first assumption was correct in thinking he might be part of the Yamanaka familiy line. Regardless, that was none of his business. As Kizmaru studied him, the male had began to awkwardly greet him with a meek, 'lord Mizukage' before he responded with a slight nod of his head himself. Looking back towards Mino, it seems she was in the middle of takign pictures of the body's peculiar markings. Kizmaru would step in just a bit closer to observe what was going on and maybe he'd pick up on a few things here and there. After she was done taking the pictures, she began to use a familiar jutsu on the places she had just took pictures of.

The first one was a no go, as he heard her say the mark she had tried to break was not classified as Fuinjutsu. This puzzled Kizmaru a bit since it seems like a normal seal in his eyes but if it wasn't fuinjutsu then he'd have to be wary. Assuming the doctor thought the same as well, he watched as she separated skin with the peculiar seal from the shinobi's neck before placing it in a bag. Next, she began to attempt the same jutsu on the other seal. Much to his surprise, this one came off easier than the last one. Kizmaru would keep in memory of the first seal she had sliced away and bagged up. He would definitely keep tabs on the research going on with that one. For now, he would sit back and watch the doctor at work. One thing that stood out to Kizmaru was the fact she was a Fuinjutsu expert. Recently, he had heard reports of the barrier being attacked by some unruly missing ninja and had been dealt with long ago. This now brought up another point that he would go into detail after the Fuinjutsu revelation. He figured when all of this was said and done, he would bring it up to her.

Mino moves quickly. She'd prefer not to get too much blood on this sweater, be it as it may that it has two identical siblings in her closet. Throughout the process, Kira hovers awkwardly, both curious and looking a little sick - he's never been allowed in so close on something so important before.

Her scalpel (a slightly longer one, better suited for autopsies) flashes as she slices open the corpse's torso from the shoulder joints to the chest - and then down. She forgoes the bone saw for the moment, as most of the more interesting organs for their purposes are located in the abdomen, which is thankfully more accessible.

With a practiced sense of urgency (but never rushing), Mino removes Tadashi's liver and pancreas, sealing them each into her organ cooler after taking a small sample of each. Whenever she moves to a new organ, she goes over its connection points with the rest of the body with a small, bright flashlight - seemingly looking for something. When she reaches his kidneys, she lets out a hum of recognition. "This isn't his natal kidney," she notes. There's barely-noticeable tissue differentiation where a previous surgeon has welded it in. Mino takes a small, unobtrusive tissue sample from the organ and seals it as well.

Once she is done with those major organs, she moves to his eyes, first shining her flashlight over them to check for cloudiness. Then she moves to carefully extract them, similarly looking over the optic nerves - and finding the same telltale signs. "Not his natal eyes, either. Likely transplanted dojutsu. We can rule out Byakugan, of course," she hums thoughtfully. "Assuming an origin of Konohagakure, my suspicion is Sharingan, though the basic eye coloration is unusual." The pair of eyes go into the cooler as well, and she lets out a deep breath of exertion. Having both of those clones active is putting some strain on her.

"With your leave," Mino says, once all of the important organs have been removed, "I feel as though it would be best to move the body into the morgue and bring the samples to the lab for testing. I do not require any of these, for the moment," she says, nodding to the cooler, "So if you would prefer to keep them for the moment, for security purposes, that would, of course, be acceptable. Otherwise, I will bring them back to the mortuary until we have genetic results, at which point I will inform you of what we've found."

Continuing to watch the doctor at work, Kizmaru had to somewhat admire how serious she took her work at such a swift pace. From how she picked the correct tools with the slightest modification for the job. He watched as she began to make surgical incisions in choice places of the corpse. Watching as she cut open parts of the boy, the doctor also began detaching certain organs from the body into an organ cooler. As she removed a particular body part, Kizmaru had heard something peculiar. According to mino, the kidney wasn't native to the body, assuming it might be a transplant from somebody else. Kizmaru's interest was now piqued as he cocked his left eyebrow upon hearing those words. After she had did her business with the organ, she moved her attention over to the eyes of the corpses head. Removing it, she examined the optic nerves for a little while before she said aloud the eyes also weren't native to the body. This piqued Kizmaru's interest even more so as he has been look for a particular pair of eyes for his own head. She continued saying it was the dojutsu, Byakugan which could only mean, the dojutsu in question was Sharingan.

A pair of Sharingan eyes happen to be sitting in front of him and he didn't even know it. So that's what captain Xijion means when he said the corpse had something he wanted. Now that he was on the subject of Uchiha organs, he automatically assumed the kidney that wasn't native to the body also belonged to the Uchiha that shared the same eyes. Well, that's it. He had learned all that he needed to about the body. It was clear to him that the shinobi wasn't an Uchiha but this was good enough. He had to admit, he was quite surprised captain Xijion was able to show enough restraint to leave these body parts in tact and undamaged. He's heard enough. After listening to her explanation, Kizmaru decided he would take this opportunity to get what he wanted in the moment. if they were indeed uchiha eyes, they would be useful to him in the long run and there would be no point in waiting for a genetic test. he did agree with the doctor that he might have been a bit too hasty when dumping the body out onto the bed like that but he saw it as a trivial matter. if anything happened, he would vouch for her personally to put her mind, and job, at ease.

"Alright then, I've made my decision," Kizmaru said. "We will move the body from here to the morgue and then you can bring the samples back to the lab for testing. However, there was something you said that has caught my interest. Did you just say, the eyes might be Sharingan? And if so, can you do an emergency procedure to replace my eyes with them immediately? I would like to have them to test out the limitations of their power." He was quite ecstatic about the discovery of the Sharingan falling on his lap and had always wanted to wield the powers behind it. Kizmaru stared at the doctor, awaiting her response.

Examination Empty Re: Examination

Mino blinks at him blankly. There is not the same expression of bewilderment as before - more a twist of regret as she realizes the bed she's made for herself. More things are beginning to click into place about her leader, and though she doesn't like them, she wonders if he may prove to be fairly predictable in the long run.

"As a medical professional, I have to object," she says, the annoyed resignation in her voice already indicating that she isn't going to seriously fight him on this. "As a shinobi of Kirigakure... I'll arrange a room and a surgery team. Am I to presume you would like your face to remain covered?" she says, looking from the Mizukage to Xijion, with the suggestion that the ANBU commander would be tasked with enforcing such measures while their boss is indisposed. Mino knows that she is as good as being entrusted with his identity, even without the veil being lifted, but the rest of the surgical team will not be working so closely. "Are we to gamble on the kidney, as well? It would be best to keep the number of separate surgeries minimal."

Mino could do the operation solo, in a pinch, but it will be more safe and comfortable for Kizmaru for there to least be a specialized anesthesiologist present. Her own work on the corpse was quite imprecise compared to what the hospital's mortician could do, but the Mizukage had seemed impressed enough. Overall, he seems... young. Inexperienced, rash, and overconfident in his own assumptions. It would likely be for the best for Mino to push back against his demands harder, so he develops a better understanding and respect for the medical system he is nominally in control of... but such actions need to wait until she has a firmer grasp of his personality.

"I will also require your records - or, if those are confidential, at least a rundown of anything I should know. Pre-existing conditions or previous procedures." She realizes now that he may have danced around that point due to the matter of his stubborn refusal to divulge his identity. Though Mino would quite like that to be public, she has already resolved not to do so through underhanded means. It's frustrating that the opportunity to learn who lies behind that veil has dropped into her lap, but not in a context where it will help the village.

Assuming that the Mizukage's response to Mino's final questions do not derail their plans entirely, she sets to work getting things ready. First, the samples head to the lab with orders to be processed as rapidly as possible. The room that they have been conversing in has been slated for cleaning. For the time being, Tadashi's remains have been returned to the morgue, and his organs accompany Mino as she buzzes around the hospital making arrangements.

Within the hour, a surgery room and barebones team are prepared. If the team is given the Mizukage's blessing, he is hooked up to a few basic monitoring devices (electrocardiogram, blood pressure, etc.) as the anesthesiologist prepares his IV, the tall woman - looking to be a little older than Mino, with round glasses - clicking her tongue as she works. Mino fusses at one of the assistants over her equipment, before returning her attention to Kizmaru when the anesthesiologist softly calls that she's ready.

"We're ready to get started," Mino says to him.
