Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1) Empty Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1)

Sat Mar 09, 2024 12:49 pm
Mission Info:

Jun yawned widely and rubbed his eyes as the morning sunlight filtered through his window, the birdsong outside having steadily prodded him awake. ‘My body feels like lead,’ he thought groggily, pushing himself to sit up with a groan and rubbing out his shoulders. After yesterday’s missions plus the training session he put himself through, it was no wonder he felt so stiff. He’d been up at dawn and had pushed himself til the moon was high. ‘Just gotta keep movin’, loosen up’ he coached himself, standing up and hearing several of his bones crack.

Rolling his neck, he made his way to his fridge and pulled out a carton of milk and some bacon and eggs, shuffling to his stove top and starting to fix himself some breakfast. He shoved a couple of slices of toast into the toaster while he stirred up his protein, drinking the milk straight out of the carton while he cooked. As the toaster popped, he transferred the breakfast scramble onto a plate before grabbing his toast and sitting down to butter it, taking a big bite and munching sleepily.

After a few bites were in his system, he let out a big breath and shook himself awake, starting to chow down with more vigor. By the time he was finished, he had a certifiable pep in his step, dropping his dishes in his sink and quickly finding his clothes. “Always better once I eat and move around,” he muttered to himself, chuckling at his own predictability. Tying his shinobi headband around his forehead, he then crouched down to pull on his sandals before dashing out of his apartment and turning to lock the door behind him. As he put the key in the lock, however, he noticed a note stuck in his mail slot. Curious, he picked it up and read the words scrawled on it.

“Assignment: Construction assistance. Location: Yamada farmstead. Mr. Yamada has requested a squad of young men to help him build a new shed for his cows. Report to the farm at 10AM.”

Frowning, Jun squinted at the sky. Based on the light, he imagined it was close to ten already. “Shit, better hurry!” he said aloud, shoving the note into his pocket and taking off from his landing, leaping on top of the buildings and racing toward the outskirts of town as fast as he could.

Once the farm was in view, Jun jogged up to the gate, panting slightly and grinning and the rough old man who stood in wait. “Mr. Yamada! I got your request for help with your shed. My name’s Jun.” The man squinted slightly, looking around down the road. “Is it just you? I’m gonna need more hands than that.” Quirking an eyebrow, Jun rubbed the back of his head a bit, also glancing down the road. “Oh, uhh well… If anyone else got assigned, I’m sure they’ll show up soon. Is it 10 yet?” The farmer glanced at his wrist watch, muttering gruffly. “5 more minutes. I’m paying them to get here on time, so they best be quick about it.”

Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1) Empty Re: Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1)

Mon Mar 11, 2024 5:24 pm
There he was, staring at the fixed doorknob across the room. It was beginning to become at habit now, not necessarily staring at doorknobs, but losing his self awareness. He‘d randomly stay still, focusing on past events. He was only in his mid twenties, what could be possibly know about life? He was far too young to recollect. He still had much to learn, much to experience. This habit started a few days after the chunin exams, him only making it to round one left quite a blow to his ego. Indeed, Okisho did say that he fought to honor those who have fought before for them, but still felt rather shallow when reciting it as of late. Regardless, like before, the case of melancholy resided. He snaps back into reality, his form now placed closer to the door with his hand on the doorknob. He had no clue how he got there, nevertheless, he waste no time in diving into it once more. He presses onward, walking into the kitchen to greet his parents in the morning, barely past 7am.

The smell of hot homemade food waft through the hair, it was pleasant. He immediately digs in, savoring eat bite. Of course, his mother chimed in to ask about the situation with him and the violet girl. The violet girl, a nickname he gave Nokino when he told them about the possibility of him going on a date, came up frequently and even more so after the chunin exams. He saw through it, they wanted Okisho to have a distraction to take his mind of the exams. To be honest, he wanted it too. However, as luck would have it, he was served with yet a different type of distraction. Laborious work, there was nothing like taking your mind off the now than laborious chores around the village. Judging by the thick package he received, there was quite a few to do. He opens it after he finished eating, scanning through the texts. None of the members assigned to this mission belonged to team 212.

It had been quite some time since he talked to them,  everyone was up to their own agendas. It was part of growing up, just like the day he graduated from the academy.

He takes a moment to gather himself, wrapping his mind around the idea of doing construction work in the morning. It wasn‘t exactly the first thing he would think to do early in the morning. But, when the higher up calls, it‘s the genin that most likely have to answer. As he made his way towards the door, his father quickly grabs his attention.

“Hey, Son! I don’t know what path you plan on taking with your shinobi career, this coming up short in the chunin exams just might be a small hiccup. However, if it doesn’t work out, you should look into the Police Force. Plenty of us employed, and I know you can still learn and grow through them. You should swing by the office this week, check em out”, he returns to his meal. He always asked for thirds, to keep up with his frame. He was quite big for his age, well built.

He nods before venturing out of the house to start his series of missions with his new team, for today. “Yes, Sir”, he said swiftly. The house behind him vanishes in the distance as he made his way towards the farm. It was 8:30 am, placing him way ahead of the curve.

As for attire, Okisho is a minimalist, nothing too flashy and void of any logos. He is seen wearing a simple all light grey shirt, and a pair of dark navy-blue slacks which stop at the top of his ankles. A single ninja pouch concealed underneath his black shirt. The pouch his attached to his black leather belt, fastened on the back right side of his waist. His shoes are standard issued shinobi editions, revealing his toes and back ankles. His shinobi headband is tied tight against his forehead, but not so much to cause any discomfort. Along with his attire, he carried a thick rolled up blanket in his left arm.

Before he leaves to district, he stops by the Police headquarters. He eyes the many officers going in and out of HQ. There was no green flak jackets in sight, just mostly casual attire. His whole outlook on the police force was drastically different from what he cound remember when learning about it back in the day. He wanted to take a look inside, but knew he didn’t have enough time to do a whole tour. He also could risk being pulled into a conversation that would barely leave him any time to make it to the farm for the construction mission. He continues to make his way to the district entrance, taking his father’s advice to check out the HQ later on this week.

Zipping out of the uchiha district and making his way to the farm, he arrives to the location. He instantly smells the cows within the area, he keeps a cautious eye with each step. It was 9:57 am, not a minute past the requested arrival time. He sees a lone blonde haired male, he wonders if it was Mr. Yamada or one of his teammates assigned to this mission. Once he got closer, he sees a rough old man nearby, who seemed to be growing more firious by the second. ‘The blonde must be one of my teammates, which means we are missing one’, he waves to both of them as he got closer.

“Hi, I’m Okisho. Im here to help build the shed.”, he takes in the details of the two as Mr. Yamada introduces himself.

After the introductions, and whether or not the third missing member would arrive. Okisho would get right to work after receiving the instructions from Mr. Yamada. Paint detail, Okisho was assigned to gather the paint. The paint was already bought and paid for by Mr. Yamada, All Okisho had to do was collect it from the older shed on the otherside of the far that housed all his extra supplies. “I’ll be back with the paint, if you cant pull or lift anything on your own with your legs, wait for help.”, he said as he made his way to the other side of the farm. He was given use of the carriage too, so that was a plus. He learned how to drive a carriage from one of his old missions back then, when he had to deliver food to the lower projects. It was hard at first, but he got the handle of it. He takes note that it was a single horse wagon, all the more easier.

Finally, he arrives to the older shed and gathers the older paint. He couldnt help but take note of all the old and odd stuff that was around here. Some of it was pretty dated. He even had an old shinobi armor chest plate. You don’t see much of those laying around intact, unless it was in a museum. After gathering the paint, he ventures back and sets up to beginning painting.

Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1) Empty Re: Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1)

Tue Mar 12, 2024 3:34 am
Ayane forced herself out of bed that morning, the young Uchiha had been feeling rather lazy since graduating from the Konoha Academy and her siblings had chastised her for as much. She had thought the life of a Shinobi would have been more exciting. Something along the lines of getting out into the world and exploring amazing far off lands, working with people from other nations, hell, even a road trip would have been nice. But no, her job seemed to be mediocre missions day after day. What had she done to deserve this? Today was another example of this, helping with construction? That was certainly not what she had signed up for. After all, she had only just gone and washed her hair the night before. What a joke.

Groaning, the Uchiha dragged her feet all the way to the ensuite bathroom and began preparing for the day she had ahead of her. Not only did she have to do manual labour, she had to do it alongside two DUDES that she had never even met before. She hoped they weren't the usual gross guys that she had seen around the village, otherwise she planned on bonking them on the head if they proved to be as bad. After performing her daily preparations, she got dressed. Ayane wore a cropped hoodie with a single sleeve on her right arm. Her left arm had a sleeve that began below her shoulder. She wore short and fitting black jean shorts. Her right leg had a long black legging running all the way up and her left had some black straps around them instead. She had no intention of looking fancy today.

With a huff, she made her way out of the large home that she lived in with her two siblings. Thankfully, it seemed like it was going to be a day filled with decent weather. The last thing she wanted to do was manual labour in the rain, a pretty girl could only take so much after all. She began humming to herself as she walked towards her destination, the 'Yamada Farmstead' that the mission had been assigned to. It was approaching 10 in the morning, so people were out and about fulfilling their daily duties. She would smile and wave to the increasingly familiar faces that she passed in the Uchiha district along the way. Unlike her brother, Ayane and her sister were new additions to the village, having been created by some form of weird cloning technique. It did not matter, the other Uchiha in the area had welcomed them with open arms, something about the district having too many foreigners. More Uchiha were always encouraged.

Ayane arrived at the Yamada Farmstead at 9:59, right on time for the start of the mission. As she approached, she was greeted by the sight of two young boys and a rather grumpy looking older gentleman. Greeeaaat... She sighed internally to herself. A grumpy old man, just what she needed... Putting on a joyful face, Ayane quickly walked up to the trio and introduced herself with a casual wave. "Heya! My name is Ayane Uchiha, super cool to meet you guys! It looks like I'm the last person to make it here, I guess it's time to get cracking huh?" She stayed put as one of the two Shinobi introduced himself as 'Okisho' to them. The name sounded familiar to Ayane, someone that her brother had talked about. He was... a team mate? The Uchiha did not get the chance to ask as Okisho went off to collect the required materials. She twiddled her thumbs together as they waited for his return, the air seemingly awkward between those who remained.

After what felt like an eternity, Okisho returned with the materials and it was time to get started. Picking up a tool, Ayane began doing her part on the shed. She worked alongside the other two mostly in silence, only making noise when she chose to hum as she went through the motions. After a short while, the job was done and the old man made his way over to them. He gave the shed a once over and nodded approvingly, it looked like they had done a decent job. When he left them, Ayane turned to the other two guys and spoke. "Well that was... err... fun? Anyways! It's like totally time for the next mission. Umm... What was that again?"

Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1) Empty Re: Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1)

Fri Mar 15, 2024 5:10 pm
Old man Yamada just nodded gruffly as the other two shinobi arrived, looking over Ayane a bit skeptically. "If you're sure you can handle a job like this... might have you stick to painting," he considered, before shaking his head and pointing out the shed. "All of your tools are in there. I need the rest of the walls finished, you'll find boards and nails. Then give it a nice paint job. You do good work, I'll make sure you get your payment."

His instructions given, Mr. Yamada shuffled away back inside his house, leaving the three shinobi to get to work. Jun turned to look at the two team mates that had shown up, smiling and giving them a bit of a wave. "Yo! I'm Jun Uzumaki, nice to meet you guys. Let's get started, yeah?" He seemed kind of hyped for such a boring mission, full of energy as he jogged to the shed and started dragging out the planks they would be using for the barn wall. It wasn't the work that got him going, really, but the prospect of meeting new faces and working as part of a team. He didn't really have any friends his own age, though he did his best to be friendly to whoever he met. His social life being a bit lacking, he got excited at the chance to be put on group assignments.

"Okisho, you wanna help me get these planks up?" he called out, lifting one side of the wood with a hammer and bucket of nails ready. He would work with the team to line them up, nailing them in place one at a time until the walls had taken a decent shape. When it was time to paint, Jun grabbed a brush and started painting quickly, his strokes a bit haphazard as he rushed to get it done. "Hey!" he heard the old man yell from the porch. "Blondie, fix those strokes! Make 'em long, side to side!" Jun grinned a bit sheepishly, nodding and waving to the farmer. "Right, sorry!" Dipping his brush again, he resumed painting the wood as instructed. Before long, the project was finished, not without smears of pink paint smudging the boy's cheek and clothes.

It was Ayane that spoke next, saying something about the next mission. Jun's ears perked up. "You guys got more missions? Hey, you need an extra guy? I don't got anything else going on today, I don't mind tagging along and helping out, yanno." He looked toward the two shinobi with a hopeful grin. Maybe this was his chance to finally make some friends.

Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1) Empty Re: Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1)

Sun Mar 17, 2024 2:38 pm
Finally, the shed was complete. Okisho wiped the sweat from his face, while looking back at the newly renovated shed. The difference was night and day, barely the run down box it once as. He even had to admit that the job wasn't that bad, but clearly not something he would want to make a career out of. Sighing with a elongated breath, he turns to, Ayane. "Yeah, nothing like hard labor to start your day", he said while looking over at the both of them. He knew for sure that he himself exhausted quite a bit of energy, and like Ayane stated, it was only the first mission. They needed to stay hydrated and well fed to keep up with today's chores. And by well fed, he meant a diet power bars, water and electrolytes. anything too heavy could cause the group to become lethargic.

"Yeah, it seems like it, Jun", he stated after swiftly retrieving the same letter he received today in the mail about the mission the group was instructed to do. "Our next tasks involve us capturing a vandalizing delinquent that has a taste for attention. There's even a mention of the last few monuments that were tagged, a week apart from each other. Which were the "The old fire nation wall, and the Cloud of Vandals statue, which both happen to be in walking distance near the Hokage Rock..."

" *sighs* No, they wouldn't. *Looks over towards the direction of the Hokage Rock* Then again, it would make sense. The new Hokage wiped the slate clean of all the past Hokage faces, and replaced it with the latest Hokages, Goto and Aokidanza Senju. I remember hearing a lot of the old senior villager talk about what that really meant. They all knew what move that was, it was a power move, a politically powerful one at that. Tagging the newly renovated Hokage rock... would just might be the culprits magnum opis."

Okisho paused to think on the last two acts. What the two statues had in common were that they were both highly political. The Old Fire nation Wall was erected right after the victory the fire nation gain after defeating he sky nation. The cloud of Vandals statue was sculpted in the one of the past Raikage and the cloud village's honor for defecting from the Sky nation and joining the Fire nation. The Vandalizer's motivations were quite clear, and did not agree with the past actions of the leaf. Was the culprit a foreigner that happened to take up residence during tough times, or perhaps some trust fund kid with way to much time and money on their hands?

"Alright, Before we start we should grab some water and power bars. If you want to eat, make it light. Remember, our bandit is quite elusive to manage avoiding capture up and till now. We need to be ready to chase them down if need be. We'll meet near the Hokage Rock in 10 minutes, and work our way from there. Unless, anyone else has any pertinent information about the recent vandalisms that have been going on as of late?", he waits for a moment to hear anything from the others. If nothing, Okisho would make his way towards the nearest food market, and grab a few power bars and two bottles of energy drinks. "Oh, hold on! Before we  go, you all should take these", he reaches into his back tool pouch and retrieves a pair of long range wireless earpieces, each individually packages in a plastic resealable bag. "I took a few extra from HQ when I did a mission within the admin building not too long ago..., they had extra.", he stares at both of them with a deadpan expression. He hoped the two would not think of Okisho as a thief and have to explain anything much further. No way would he steal from the Higher ups. The tools and equipment were there for official use only. This mission, handed down from the higher ups couldn't get any more official than that. He finally leave the scene,

Leaving the Market store, equipped with drinks that were full of electrolytes, not the rush energy drinks that he saw most of the villages down on a day to day basis, he eats a power bar. He was a bit bland, but at least it had a little bit of flavor. The energy pills that most shinobi eat on long distance deployment missions bit back with a bad bitter after taste. After the resupply, he zips over to the Hokage rock, scanning his surroundings. He would wait for the rest of the team to chime in, and look out for anything out of the ordinary. With a tap of the earpiece, and attempts to contact them anyway just to make sure they reached the Hokage Rock on time. 10 minutes was 10 minutes, not a minute over. They couldn't afford to be late, not this time. The after effects of this mission could be dire, for the village as a whole. "This Is Okisho. Ayane, Jun, do you copy? What's your status?

A Few Hours Later...

Okisho was seen sitting on a lone bench outside of a very regal looking building, his legs were crossed and his head was perched on top of his arm which was pressed against the top of his thigh used for support. It was close, but the vandalizer was brought to justice. It was close, but the team pulled through. He should have saw this coming, the vandalizer behind it was the son of one of the village elders. The same village elder that Okisho and crew would have to work for, for the better half of the evening. It's a small world after all. Okisho just couldn't wrap his head around it to the point that he started to question if the higher ups knew about this ahead of time. Productivity wise, it would be smart to weave together missions that linked up well together to provide smooth transitioning. But then that would just be cop out rationalizing. He shook his head while sighing deeply, waiting for the greeter to come back to let the crew in. Apparently, in the upper echelon, one must prepare a guest hall along with food and drinks to greet guest. But they didn't need any of that, at least to Okisho's concern, They needed to get to work, and finish these series of missions as soon as possible, not play the Count of Konoha.

The grand wooden doors swung open, allowing the greeter to return with not only an inviting smile, but with a much grander entrance from before. Okisho couldn't stand it, the peacocking, the grandstanding, all of it. It was people like this, that gave Konoha a bad name. This was not what the village as about. But, when one had Elder money, they could pretty much not care what others think. Just like the same miserable foreign vapid wealthy pricks that keep buying up all the property in the Uchiha District and pricing out the locals with their artisanal coffee shops and yoga studios they were barely open. However, he was here on a mission, and had no choice but to press on, regardless of the bullshit.

Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1) Empty Re: Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1)

Wed Mar 27, 2024 3:49 am
It seemed like both of her companions were raring to go with their missions, which resulted in Ayane's own mood heightening in anticipation. With a jolly smile, she walked off with the two boys and began moving to their next destination. A vandal? That was interesting... Before the three of them could get started, Okisho made a suggestion for them to fill up on supplies for a rather long day that was ahead of them. She grabbed many protein bars and a few pork buns to accompany her after she had eaten, the buns were a guilty pleasure of hers and Ayane could not help herself.  She graciously took an earpiece that Okisho handed to her, not bothering to question just how genuine he was about obtaining them legally, frankly she could not care less. "Ok then, let's get to it dudes!" She split from the two of them and dashed in one of the directions that they suspected the vandal was working in.

After a couple of hours, there was finally word of the young boy's activity. Apparently he had targeted the Hokage's Rock next. Was this kid actually that stupid? Oh well. Without wasting time to question it, Ayane was on her way over. It took a very coordinated approach, but the three of them were finally able to apprehend the vandal, tying him up and handing him over to the authorities with little difficulty. Apparently he was the son of somebody very important, something that did not worry Ayane quite as much as it should have.

She would speak to her two companions. "Well that was fun! But it looks like that kid we caught was the son of some big shot? Like potentially the big shot that we'll be working for? This should be interesting! Onto the next one!" She was simply too excited about spending more time with her newly acquired friends.

Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1) Empty Re: Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1)

Tue May 07, 2024 8:18 pm
The day started off as any other would, awakening in her bed, Xena sat up, her hair a mess, one of the many burden's of having long hair, bed head. Sliding her leg's out from beneath her blanket they made contact with the floor, her arm's coming up and behind her as she stretched, the stretch slowly letting her soul escape until a crack was heard, rather quickly she stopped rubbing a hand across her back calmly, finally coming to a stand, what time even was it she pondered, walking across her room too the window, slowly creaking it open only for the sun too break through immediately rushing into her eyes blinding her momentarily as her arm flew in to block it, given a moment of recovery she checked the suns positioning, it was... maybe 12? That was her best guess as she yawned, moving across her room to her dresser, pulling out some proper clothes she'd remove her night shirt smelling it for a moment, it needed to be washed, as did she it seemed, sighing she'd toss the shirt into a weave basket before putting on a normal shirt for the time being rather then her ninja gear, she'd need to head to the bath house, seeing as her family's home didn't have a bath, much like most of the less wealthy Uchiha's homes. Walking across the room yet again, she'd slip her geta on before grabbing her basket of clothing and walking off into the main room.

As she entered the living room she would find only her mother present, her father likely off on a mission, or so she would guess. Taking the basket she would gather what clothes were around the living room before waving farewell to her mother. Making sure to grab her wallet so she could pay for the cleaner and bath house visit she would slowly with a leg open the front door beginning to walk, the Bath House was a good mile and a half away, she was in for a lengthy walk, though with the clouds out the sun wouldn't be too much of a issue. As she walked the quiet clak of her geta against the stone road followed, a pleasent sound in some places, meaning the road was lively, rather then desolate. And it was, there was plenty of Uchiha out and about, it was their district after all.

The many locations among the district were resturaunts stalls, shops, anything a district needs was there, yet there was still a clear hierarchy between the rich uchiha and the poor ones, the rich ones got buildings far more developed then the poor, as per to be expected. Regardless the one thing this district didn't have was a bath house, moving out of the district a good mile walk was where the nearest Bathhouse was, it wasn't that bad, she made the journey somewhat often, On such a sunny day, the wind blew free, so the heat wasn't bad at all, finally however she'd arrive at the Bathhouse, perhaps a hour after leaving her own house. Moving towards the owner too set up a payment for washing among other things he seemed more tense about something else.

"Pardon me madam, would you happen to be the Shinobi sent to deal with my... prediciment?" The Bathhouse owner would speak, too which Xena would tilt her head, it was moderately confusing how she could be mistaken for such a thing, especially given her dress attire. Slowly she responded. "Uh, what?..." A simple response of confusion, to which the man looked down and shook his head. "They were supposed to be here a hours ago... I don't know how much longer they'll wait for my payment..." Hearing this Xena curiously wondered about the situation commenting. "If you could explain the situation I could perhaps try helping?" She had set down her basket looking around the immediate area, pondering what could possibly be threatening the establishment. Too which her answer was given promptly. "A rival establishment has placed bombs around the building... Threatening to blow it up should I not return 70% of my income to them." Xena tilted her head further at that response, who in the world would do such a thing, they know bombing a building like this would lead to their execution most likely, do they not.

Taking a look towards the building, the womans eyes began to spin, glowing a deep crimson as a pinwheel forms, her 3 tomoe sharingan activating she examined the immediate area looking for Chakra Signature's explosive papers typically had some form of Chakra in them surely she'd be able to see them, and so she did, a single paper bomb sitting over the entrance was immediately prevelent with likely far more inside and around the building, discharging the explosive would be somewhat complicated, a shock could do it but it could also just as likely light the fuse, far to dangerous to just go in swinging with no logic behind it. And so she stood there, her Sharingan turning off as she thought of what to do.

Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1) Empty Re: Doing Your Part (Mission Thread Pt. 1)

Tue May 21, 2024 4:50 pm
Harvest of Remembrance:

"So you wish us to scavenge the forest for herbs in the most remote areas? Such areas that lack patrol from the leaf shinobi?", Okisho, now with the compound of the village elder, attempts to gain as much information about the mission from word of mouth to help execute the task the first time. His team, so the choose, stand beside him Infront of the aristocrat. The elder conveys his deepest interests in a single particular resource, the Garland Flame. The Garland Flame is a rare flower that only blooms, on the Summer Solstice. When the sun reaches its apex, the lucky flower caught in its rays will bloom but wilt away within hours. It is said that its petals contain the power of the sun. It meant that the team was on the clock, and had to deal with this soon. The Sun had passed the Apex point only minutes ago. Okisho nods before given a special pouch infused with seals and special soil to help preserve the plant once placed inside. He looks around towards his tea, to check if they were ready, "We have our task, we'll use the south entrance to leave the village and gather the resources", he turns around after placing the special pouch within his pocket and vanishes from sight with he aid of his body flicker jutsu.

Just before he leaves, Okisho is stopped by a woman. she was tall, slim in figure, and had raven black hair much like Okisho's. Of course, he slowly approaches her, inquiring why she needed his attention. After hearing her speak, he wonders if whether or not he should take her up on her offer. It would seem that the woman's little brother had gotten lost in the forest, went missing since this morning in search of his rabbit that gotten loose due to the fault cage it was in. Time was of the essence, he he really needed to get a move on. To fail a task given by one of the village elders would sing for quite some time. a bad strike on a record that would follow Okisho and quite possibly the team. However, the reward for such risks was her putting in a good word for the group. The woman happened to be a personal aide for the grand elder, bank accounts and trusts were all managed by her. Okisho found it rather odd that she didn't just go to the elder, and explain the situation. But, turns out that this wasn't the first time this little lost on the woods incident has happened; somebody was on their last red card. If the elder would have found it, the aide would get in to trouble and quite possibly lose the privilege of keeping her brother within the complex.

Looking at the situation from a pragmatic view, he decides to take her up on the offer. The good word for him and the entire team. A mark of approval like that from a village elder could go very well in any shinobi's career in the leaf. He gets the info of what the boy looked like, making sure he got everything he needed. The boy seemed to be very skittish, yet deeply in love with is rabbit, hence the long hours away from the compound. It was clear that the boy was not coming back unless that rabbit was in tow. Once again, using his body flicker technique, he vanishes from sight and mad his way towards the tasks at hand.

Moments later, Okisho was seen leaping from branch to branch. He surveyed the field looking for this special plant after collecting a few other herbs and spices. His sharingan was active as well, to help bolster his visual prowess. He managed to get a picture of it before he left in such a hurry. It was pretty hard to miss, considering it looked like an ember, an eternal flame produced from the very planet it self. He had a hard time understanding how nature could produce such oddities, then again, if humans could come from the earth it really wasn't such a farfetched thing. He adjusts the volume on his radio before speaking into it to reach out to his other teammates. "This is Okisho. Has anyone come into contact with the Garland Flame?', he gives it a moment to let the others speak. Time was running out, the few hours they had left to secure the plant, turned into few minutes. HE stops abruptly, now standing tall on top of a branch. It was thick and sturdy enough to support his weight, the trees grown in the forest were vast in size. He then leaps down, after taking in his surroundings.

A glimpse of something orange caught his attention while he was leaping from branch to branch. He saunters up to the log and peers behind it to get a closer look at what he thought was the Garland flame. IT WAS! the planet had an aura to it, as it it was set ablaze. The vivid red color was a marvel to behold, one of natures most coveted works of art. Wasting no more time idolizing the plant, he retrieves the pouch and places the plant into the pouch. "This is Okisho, I have secured the Garland Flame. Lets regroup back at the compound. If you managed to secure the plant yourself, the more the merrier.", after he finished speaking through the mic, he vanishes from sight with the use of his own body flicker jutsu.

With the Garland flame in tow, he moves on to his secondary task, finding the boy. He weaves a series of hand seals to activate his shadow clone jutsu. Physical copies of himself form into being along his flank. He, along with all the clones knew exactly what to do. They then ventured out in all directions, in search of the boy. One of the clones along scouting the far edge of his zone, came across a discarded jacket. Upon further inspection of the jacket, the pockets contained pellets of rabbit food. The boy was either near, or had very much been here and ran off elsewhere. He kept faith that he could find the boy soon. He would rather not keep the village elder waiting any longer than he already has.

The original Okisho, coming up fast upon the clone who found the jacket, stops abruptly. He pauses for a moment, wondering if he he heard sounds of fast pace footsteps. He leaps on to a high thick branch, sturdy enough for him to stand on. Then once again, it happens, the sound of leaves shuffling and twigs breaking was clear. He leaps towards the direction of the sound with haste. Branch by branch he hops to the sound and with his sharingan active he leaps down to the chakra source to discover the boy. He was of course startled by the entrance of the genin. "Relax, I mean you no harm. Your sister has been wondering where you have been this entire morning." The boy huffs, still worried about his rabbit. He looks around still in search for the rabbit. Okisho, pressed for time, aids the boy in search of the rabbit. The duo perused around the bushes and trees until finally coming across the lone white rabbit that sat upright looking at Okisho upon discovering it. He found it strange that the rabbit was this docile. was it scared? Regardless, grabbing it and holding it tight so it wouldn't hop away. He returns to the boy and hands him the rabbit. The boy, now more ecstatic than ever, follows Okisho back to the compound to be reunited with his worried sister.

"I hope you get a better cage, you might found yourself out of the complex if you keep getting lost in the forest."

Upon returning the to complex, the sister of the brother rushes to Okisho's side to hug her once lost brother. Of course, like any older sibling, she scolds her little brother for being so careless. Okisho, takes a few steps back to gain son distance from the sibling conflict. Although, he found it quite entertaining and genuine. After the harsh scolding, she turns to Okisho. "Thank you for doing this. I remember our deal. Once I get some time with the elder, I will tell him that you and the rest of your team, are very capable shinobi. This means that you will have access to missions that haven't made it to the administration office. You will be paid directly from the elder; payment that will be well above the standard wage for genin." Okisho nods his head, grateful for being afforded such access to unique missions. Like he stated before. This would look good on his record, being the right hand of one of the village elders. He shakes the hand of the sister, and waves the little brother and his rabbit a farewell. He assures the sister also that he will not tell the elder of the situation as per the deal.

A Feast of Memories:

A day before the mission began...

A hunter, dressed in fur trappings of their previous hunts, was seen sauntering up to a plateau overlooking the grand forest of the fire country. His face was stern, the hawk above him circled with anticipation, waiting for it's master to extend their arm for it to land. But as of now, he was focused on one thing, tradition. The hunter took pride in keeping with the old ways, it's what kept the hunters of the past alive and carried from generation to generation. He overlooking the forest, and just couldn't wait to begin . Behind him, hunters from the same tribe walk towards him, all eager to begin the hunt for the great crimson tusk. a boar bred by the hunters from careful breeding practices. They wished to create the perfect boar that not only bore the most tender of all meats, but also had to capability to outwit hunters of modest skill with instinct alone. Of course, the boar was smart as well which meant it knew what to do in troubled times.

Chief, we are all just about ready to go hunting for the crimson tusk. We have made sure it was well fed and will have plenty of space to work with when the time comes to hunt.", the hunter waits for a response for the leader. The leader, turns slowly around... "Gooooood", he said bellowing his voice towards his followers as the hunt would soon begin, Tomorrow!

Present Day...

Moving on to the next assignment, Okisho was seen standing before the elder once more. The Garland Flame pleased him greatly, to which of course the appreciation was expressed multiple times. It was funny, how the once great elder who stood like the mountain with a stone expression, acted like a mere child at the sight of the planet. Okisho didn't know the exact significance of the Garland Flame, but it had to be a sincere one to evoke such a reaction.

As he stood, hopefully with the rest of his team behind him if they so choose, Okisho nods after being give his next assignment. It would seem that the team would have to work together to being down a while boar who wielded crimson tusks. The creature even was given the moniker "Crimson Tusk", due to it's uniqueness. The boar has been shown to possess an above average intelligence, along with superior agility compared to the rest of the boar roaming the forestry. After hearing what he need to hear, Okisho walks off to come up with a plan to capture the boar. He was seen brainstorming off to the side near the entrance of the compound. His first method of choice was to use genjutsu, to slow it down to the point where it couldn't move. Since the boar would be used for the feast, he didn't want to butcher it himself. He was ears open for the rest of the team to speak their mind of how they should pursue it. He wasn't above being the sole individual giving out the orders. Although he was older than the rest of the team, he was still very much a genin.

After the plan was made, Okisho was seen venturing out to the forestry to deal with the Crimson Tusk. He remained vigilant as he roamed the forestry, just like before in search of the Garland Flame. His sharingan was active too, granted him even more visual prowess.

Staying low and avoiding any unnecessary sounds, the prowling Uchiha stops abruptly. A faint sound from the distance caught his attention. He looks to the north, past the bushy grooves and beyond the bark to peer through the mysterious eclipsing shadows. he remains as he was, foregoing the thought of reaching out to his teammates. Was it the Crimson Tusk? Sound of twigs and leaves shifting rung through his ears once again. Something was near, and approaching his current location. Okisho's form was obstructed by the thick truck of the towering tree beside him. Using it as cover, he peers to the north once more. This time the grooves were moving. All he needed to do was lock eyes with the beast, and ensnarl it with his sharingan genjutsu. Clenching his fist, knowing that on the other side of the truck stood the boar, he finally swings around the trunk and gazes upon the beast. The beast looks up in confusion and fright, startled beyond belief that it was caught off guard by the human. However, these feelings soon dissipate. It all became a soothing state of absent mindlessness. The boar now stood there, just existing. Okisho, taking a few steps closer to the boar, kneeled down to examine the boar. A slight frown formed upon realizing that the boar lacked the crimson tusks. It was the wrong one, the Crimson Boar was still out there. He immediately hops on the wireless headset and relays his status and officially clears his zone of the Crimson Tusk. The beast in question was somewhere else in the other zones his teammates were roaming about. He hopes this hunting game would end soon.

Rising to his feet, he releases the boar. The boar, now snapping back into reality, it scurries off into the bushes to rejoice in its freedom and narrow escape from becoming dinner for the elder villager's party. "I should regroup with the others to try and assist them anyway possible", he thinks about during his few moments of tracking the boar. He needed to remain silent and and keep the element of surprise. All the more reason to not use the coms any further, the regret of using them before started to creep up on him. He takes a chance and decides to head back to the compound to meet with the elder. The Crimson boar would soon see itself in the hands of the chef an hour later. The captor being that of one of Okisho's other teammates. It was good, seeing progress like this. Each carrying their own weight.

As Okisho ventured off back to the compound. an image from afar widens his eyes in disbelief. Hunters from the village, poaching on their hunting ground. He had to report this to the chief, for he was alone and the shinobi were to great in number to stop them all by himself. Deciding to head back, he had to check in on the boar to make sure it was still around. The hunter used their tracking skills to find where the boar might be. He was careful and wanted to remain in the shadows. The hunter, traveling to the last known where abouts of the crimson boar, soon discovered that it was gone along with the many other little ones it was watching over. The hunter, furious, returns to his chief to reveal the horrible news.

The Hunter's Rivalry:

As the sun rose this morning, the hunting clan that swore vengeance upon the village elder who stolen their game, quickly rose from their deep slumber. They were nomadic, resting where ever they could along with trading whatever they could. Their business, was mostly conducted within certain pockets of the unpatrolled forest of the leaf village. The village has always known of their presence and used it to their advantage. They would allow them to hunt and fight, but also indirectly defend the leaf and use them as a line of defense if forces from different countries would invade. After their meal, they chatted amongst themselves, coming up with a plan to take down the village elder. After much planning, the saddled up on their horses and made their way to the elder's compound. The same tracker who discovered the misdeed, managed to figure out the location of the compound.

The sounds of 20 horses could be heard throughout the forest. One by one they burst from the deep woods and on to the main road that led to the compound of the village elder's compound. Each of them, like their leader, wore fur trappings from their previous hunts. Some even more sacred marks from the blood of their recent kill, paying homage to their god of hunt whose name was barely mentioned in modern text. They were a old clan, yet a clan bound by old tradition and honor. Okisho would easily respect such customs, honoring those who have paved the way for the new generation to establish themselves. Yet, their mission as of now was retribution, payback for stealing what was rightfully theirs.

Patrols from afar could now see the trail of hunters, making their way to the compound. They try to alert the compound, but at their speed, the alert would arrive a few second too little too late after the hunters. They were fast, for cause was on their side. As they arrived to the compound, they stop before the entrance. The guards, ready to defend the compound, wait for their orders from the elder before engaging. They were issued not to attack until instructed. The hunters, growing impatient, wait for the elder to reveal himself and expect fair compensation for their stolen hunt.

The grand doors swing open, revealing the very same hall the team resided in every time they received their new mission orders from the elder. However, upon settling in, the team would find itself meeting a disgruntled Elder, surrounded by aids counseling him on what they were to do next. The elder sunk in his hair the more they spoke into his ear, words expressing caution and worry about the current situation. The guards in the room more than doubled, securing the hall and prevented unwanted figures from entering. OKisho wondered what was going on? Was the compound in danger? He waits curiously for the elder to divert his attention towards Okisho, and hopefully, the rest of his team should they choose to be here. The elder, growing tired of his own administration, sends them away with a swift hand gesture. They all disburse like a pack of training hounds almost immediately. The momentary pause was due to the gravity of the situation. They thought he elder did not truly understand the fact that he compound was surrounded by hunters, hunters who felt the need to spill blood for the intrusion of their very own hunting grounds.

The elder, once his aids left, spoke to the shinobi assigned to him with regret and worry. It had seemed that the crimson tusk, roamed the lands that belong to a group of hunters who have been wrong more than once by the village elder. There would be no turning the cheek this time. Okisho asked various questions ranging from the first time the elder and the group of hunters have met, to the mannerisms and ideology of the hunters. The more Okisho could learn more about them and how they think, the more certain he could feel about avoiding a blood bath in front of the elder's doorsteps. Another decree the elder slipped in, a order stating that no blood would be spilled. After the questioning, Okisho was sent on his way to deal with the threat looming outside.

"Diplomacy, that is what our main goal will be. I'll handle the negotiations, while the rest of you will cover my flanks and provide aid in case this whole ordeal takes a wrong turn. There will be no blood spilled, the elder doesn't want to provoke an entire hunting clan to invade his compound and start a unnecessary war with the Leaf." After OKisho said what he had to say, he removes his weaponry and makes his way towards the front doors. Upon opening it, he is met with a group of hunters on horse back, all adorned with furs and trappings of their previous hunts. This was the first time he had every come into contact with such characters. They all looked so remote, so barbaric. However, with the intel he was given by the elder, it would seem you really can't judge a book by its cover. These hunters operated by a code of honor and reasoning. Something Okisho would prove to use to his advantage.

Okisho, and the lead hunter who stood Infront of the rest of the barbarians were now seen talking to each other. There mannerisms and gestures conveyed almost all manners of acts of inquisitive prodding. It was as if they were trying to get a measure of each other and completely forgot about the reason as to why the two were here in the first place. Some would say that would be a waste of time, others a foot in the right direction. For a moment, the two stopped talking, eyeing each other down as if battle were ready to commence. The silence between them spoke volumes, their auras rising to the occasion should it come to it. Okisho, and the lead hunter, both nodded to each other and shook each others hands. The Conflict was over, threat level that once loomed over the compound was no more. The only thing that was required on the elder's part, was to make room at the table for the next feast. For the hunters would not only have to be invited, but they would also have to be fed the next game that proved to be troublesome.

The elder, grateful for the shinobi doing a job well done, invited not only the hunters but eh shinobi as well. It was a feast well worth their time he assured. As Okisho agreed, he noticed the same woman who he helped locate her brother, walk towards the elder and whisper into his ear. He nods with approval staring back at Okisho as if he was told he was the next best thing since slice bread. Before they set off and preparation of the great feats, the elder beckons Okisho over. It would seem that the woman kept her word, and gave her approval of him and the entire team. However, he was told nothing but orders about  the feast and how he could carry himself during the event. A side mission, which he humbly took. A shinobi's work is never done it seems.

As for his attire for this mission, he wore a navy blue baseball hat, a black short sleeved shirt, black jeans, and a pair of black boots. No indication of him belonging to the village shinobi force was visible, not even the tell tale shinobi boots which he chose to forego.. All expect his face, which was known to all participants who took the mission. He was told by the elder to remain on guard, despite the peace treaty that was recently made between the village elder and the hunters. The Brim of his hat was tilted low, keeping his eyes covered from passing servers

The hunters were a loud bunch, upon inspection from the Uchiha He sees them, still dressed in their fur trappings and well armed. He could see why the elder would want him to keep an eye on them. Then again, he found it oddly interesting to be exposed to such different cultures. All his life, it had been the same song and dance. Societal expectation to which was all he really knew. Even the way they sat at the table with the back of the chair facing the table, was odd to him. 'Strange. I feel as if I am in a whole new world', he thought. But if they were as honorable as OKisho thought, no trouble would brew tonight.

At the end of the feast, the hunters gathered their things while also managing to trade with some of the elder's aristocrat friends. Trinkets and furs of all sorts exchanged from their hands. If Okisho had know any better, he would have thought some of the elder's friends just made new ones. Diplomacy, immersion, all experiences well needed in everyone's life to remain open minded. Okisho then set off, and if any of the team was still around during the feast, he'd say his farewells to them before setting off. He was in desperate need of a shower. A life full of new experiences and diplomacy, started to sound a lot better than war and conflict.

Bomb in the Bath House:

Okisho, was seen hanging around the bath house looking for the bathhouse owner. He and a few others were sent on a mission of urgency to handle a situation that could impact the lives of hundreds within the village. He scans the area, while remaining in ordinary civilians clothes. His usual getup of of course, a simple all black shirt, and a pair of dark navy-blue slacks which stop at the top of his ankles. His shoes are standard issued shinobi editions, revealing his toes and back ankles. However, not today almost everyone wore them so they wouldn't be a dead give away to his real identity should one gaze upon him. He finally makes his way towards the entrance to enter the bathhouse, but before he could do so he continues pass the door and makes his way towards the end of the street. The sixth sense he had alerted him of something troublesome within the area, besides the bomb threat.

Recalling the other bits of intel given to him by the higher ups, would suggest that the bomb threat was initiated by a group of leaf villagers, making them domestic terrorist. But why target the bomb house, he thought? He takes a quick glance back at the bathhouse while making his way across the street. The building had quite the business within, the owner had to have been making quite the profit. Perhaps that was the reason, jealous competition that couldn't keep up? Nevertheless, he needed to disarm the bombs. He stares cautiously at the seals once more, recalling information he gained in the past.

Flashback from the Academy days...

Okisho, a much younger version, was seen sitting patiently in front of the class room awaiting the professor. The class was quite full today, as it normally should towards the beginning of the semester; the third week to be exact. He wasn't doing to bad in his studies, trying to impress not only his parents but also his professor. He needed to pass this time around, during a time when conflict outside the village was at an all time high. Okisho's conviction, his nindo to fight and honor those who have fought for him and the village in the past was recently discovered. He was filled with an urge to serve his village, and thus, he devoted most of his time to his books and other seemingly arduous studies.

As for attire, Okisho back then was still considered a minimalist, nothing too flashy and void of any logos. This also includes his Clan emblem, at to which in this point in time didn't do the passage of rite as of yet. From his desk, he is seen wearing an all black shirt, and a pair of dark navy-blue shorts which stop at the top of his knees. A single ninja pouch concealed underneath his black shirt. The pouch his attached to his black leather belt, fastened on the back right side of his waist. His shoes are standard issued shinobi editions, revealing his toes and back ankles. He doesn't don the shinobi headband as of yet, due to him still attending the academy.

Finally, the professor entered the room. He saunters in wearing the traditional konoha shinobi outfit. Navy blue pants and long sleeve shirt, accompanied by a dark green standard issue konoha flak jacket. His expression was, empty. Nobody could really tell what he was thinking. He places his things on the large desk before him and looks out to the sea of students, awaiting eagerly for today's lesson. "Today, we will be going over explosive seals, and how to rig them up to explode", The professor is then seen walking over to the board and jotting down information. Okisho paid close attention to this as he would most definitely need to know this in the future if he wanted to become a shinobi.

Present Day...

Reaching the other side of the street 10 meters away, he acts as if he was window shopping in front of the other shops. His eyes flick crimson red for a mere second, taking a glimpse of the build. To his surprise, the building was laced with explosive tags. The one near the entrance attracting most of his attention. What Okisho knew about the tags was that the range the bomber would have to be in in order to detonate the tags was 10 meters. This was good, meaning that the bomber was really close by. In fact, the bomber could very well be within one of the stores within the area, looking out to see if any shinobi in a flak jacket was nearby. It was a good thing Okisho never liked the uniform, and always stuck to civilian clothes.

He stood by the window, trying to think of a plan to get rid of the bombs. He could just disarm them, not without knowing for sure that the bomber did not have the means to be alerted. The risk just wasn't worth it at this moment in time. What he needed in this moment of time, was.. a distraction!

He exhales heavily, pursing his lips while thinking of just what he could do to get the attention of the bomber and practically everyone else within the area. The answer, was staring right back at him. The shop he just so happened to be window shopping, was that of a pet store. "Hmm...", he enters the shop and takes note that the shop owner was busy helping another customer. As he walked around the store, he loosened locks on all the dog cages, there quite a lot of them. After that, he goes to the front of the store, and retrieves a plastic bag full of doggy treats. and with one jerk motion, the bag rips open, which sent the dogs into a frenzy due to the aroma of the doggy treats. The dogs burst free from their cages and make their way to the door. The owner also goes into a frantic state. "MY DOGGIES!!!", the dogs run wild into the street. With the store now empty, the owner and the lone customer now out and about, Okisho attempts to shift into his next stage. He himself would use the transformation jutsu to morph into a dog himself and roam the streets and use it as a cover to find the bomber if possible and when he was able to.

Now that chaos and discord roamed the streets, Okisho hid underneath the guise of a dog and attempted to either find the triggerman, or deactivate the bomb. He sharingan was still active while in his canine state. Using his sharingan, he notices within a certain individual's article of clothing that he bore another source of chakra within the coat pocket. Readying himself to charge towards the individual, he commits to taking down the trigger man and leaps towards the suspect at full speed. He keeps his eyes on the foe, more specially the arm to make sure no hand seals were formed. He leaps up and tackles the man down to the ground, after reverting back to his normal human form. His eyes, sharingan fully activated, lock direct eye contact with him, submitting him to a long and deep genjutsu. During which, he forced the man to tell everything about his plan, the Uchiha. The extortion, explosives, and every other detail you could think of was told to him. Lucky, he was the only one around that had the means to detonate the seal tags. He gets up from the ground, being mindful of everything around him. The other operatives in play would have, or just about done their part in stopping the bomb. Without the triggerman, the bombs were useless to a point.

After all was done, Okisho returned back to base to submit his report to the higher ups with haste. His heart, on the way to HQ, still fluttered at the fact that he was part of the team that stopped a bomb from blowing up within the village. As nerve wreaking as it may be, he preferred missions like these that were of important. The days of fetching wood and paint for old elders were over for this Uchiha.

Almost reaching GQ, he thinks back to the mission where he attended a feast with the elder and the hunters. 'There is so much out there in this world, yet I am still within these walls. I can't stay within the walls forever. I needed to ready myself for what is out there. What happened in the chuunin exams is part of life. And I still have time to better myself for the future.', the Uchiha finally reaches the HQ and delivers his report with pride. Pride knowing that despite is mishaps, he was still more than capable to become stronger.
