Vein of Skill

They were done with planning. Jake didn't say it but Rin assumed he was close type too. They turned to Xyxer and prepared themselves. "Attack when ready." Rin noticed Jinn nod at him, telling him to begin. The boy raised his hands and formed a handseal. "There we go..." In a moment mist formed on the water Xyxer was standing and covered everything between him and the three. Rin prepared himself by grasping his wired kunai and counted to ten. Then he charged at his opponent in a half circle, not taking the direct way. When he saw the silhouette he approached him and threw the kunais pulling them back if he would miss and then throwing again.

A few seconds later their plan would begin. Jinn would watch as the mist covered the area and he would note the place where Xyxer stood, so that he would know where to attack. He would reestablish his grip on his ninjato and pronged kunai. After he watched Yousei embark on his attack, Jinn would run into the mist. He would look at the direction Yousei was aiming at and assume that that is the location of Xyxer. He would then sprint towards Xyxer, with his ninjato in his left hand and his pronged kunai in his right. He would leap upwards into the air above Xyxer. After this action is done he would attempt a front flip while in the air and aim his ninjato downwards towards Xyxer's head saying, "Heavens' slam!" He knew that his strength with this technique would be enhanced, which is exactly what he needed to come close to the strength of Xyxer.

As soon as mist began to form around the lake, a smile found it's way to Xyxer's lips. They must not have known one of his signature jutsu, but if he was to use that it would all be over too soon, so he decided not too. Instead, he made a single hand seal, which resulted with an exact replica of him being made out of the water that he was stood on. After a few moments Xyxer's own body began to fall down into the lake, submerging itself and becoming one, his body unable to be hit from within the lake. He watched from underneath as kunais flew at his clone, which the clone would swerve from easily before something suddenly crashed into it's shoulder, followed with the words of, "Heaven's Slam!"

As the water clone's body fell and dispersed back into the lake, his hand silently emerged from it and would try to latch onto the ankle of Jinn; moving with frightening speed. If his hand was to catch onto his ankle, he'd tug and pull Jinn over before getting out from the lake and throwing him towards Yousei like a rag doll.

Rin saw Xyxer deflect his kunais, so he was about to swing them again. But then Jinn suddenly crashed at him with his ninjato "Heavens' slam!" Xyxer did not seam to have dodged or defended against this attack and his body was broken. As he fell down, suddenly the body turned to water and Rin realized it was the famous Water Clone technique - something he himself strives to learn in the future since he has the water element too. Deciding that Xyxer had left the clone absorb their attack and then retaliate somehow, Rin jumped backwards, disappearing into the mist and not noticing Xyxer's attempt to catch Jinn.

After making some distance Rin kneeled down on the water and hid his kunais in his pouch before making some handseals. With a poof of smoke his clone appeared next to him and charged back to where Jinn was. Rin wondered for a moment where the hell is Jake, then unsheathed his own ninjato which was just like the one Jinn used and started to circle the area where his clone went, staying out of sights range due to the mist but ready to jump in at any moment.

Jinn would grimace as his sword sliced through what he believed to be Xyxer. It could not have been that easy. He would think as he stood on top of the water. Suddenly he would feel a tug on his leg and before he would be able to react he would be flung into the air towards Rin. Though Rin had not noticed this action and had moved away. Causing him to be flung onto the hard ground. With a loud 'thud'.

Jinn would get up from the ground and with his ninjato still in his left hand. Jinn would begin to try and think of a plan he could use to attack Xyxer, while he was in the water. He knew that he could not use any water based ninjutsu because he lacked that element. Frustrated he would swipe his ninjato in the air, while doing this he would notice Rin's clone coming towards him. Staying in the area he would look around in the mist and run towards the direction where Rin's clone came from. He would soon see the silhouette of Rin. He too was carrying a ninjato. Jinn thought that it would be foolish to try and attack Xyxer in the mist, where he had the advantage. "It seems he is stronger than we thought, we should let him make the next move." Jinn would say to Rin.

[This is the third post since the mist was created, so after this one the mist has cleared]

Xyxer clibmed out from the water completely and just stood on the lake silently, looking around the area to see that the mist was beginning to clear. He knew he would have to make the most of it, so he began to walk through the mist rapidly towards the area where he had thrown the boy, his body getting there just a few seconds after he had set off from the lake. He noticed that there wasn't any of them there, but the ground had been dented roughly which didn't seem to be the weight of two boys, so it was just one. So his throwing had missed and he had simply threw Jinn into the ground. 'Huh'. He thought to himself before he looked upwards, the mist fully gone.

He saw Jinn and two versions of Yousei which made him cock his head a little. None of them seemed to be showing any signs of aggression so they were either thinking of another plan or they were waiting for him to attack. None the less, the latter was going to happen. His hand swiftly ducked into his ninja pouch before he pulled out two kunais, throwing them both at an angle so they would collide with each other and push themselves, one heading towards Yousei and the other heading towards Jinn after they had collided. However, this would prove to be a distraction as Xyxer made a single hand seal and his speed seemed to increase greatly, making him appear in a blur behind the body of Jinn before he swiftly send his hand down in a claw-like grip towards Jinn's weapon hand, attempting to disarm him with a swift turn of the wrist, not enough to break it however.

Soon after Rin's clone made it into the mist, Jinn emerged and came next to Rin. "It seems he is stronger than we thought, we should let him make the next move." Rin made a smirk. "Stronger? Sure... What did you expect?" There was no point to try to attack in the mist again, as his technique was expiring in front of their eyes. Soon it cleared completely and both of them saw Xyxer. Rin's clone was visible too. For a moment Xyxer was standing there and the boys waited for his attack. Then he suddenly threw two kunais. In mid air they collided and one was now headed for Rin's clone, while the other one was flying at Jinn. Rin decided he could easily deflect the kunai himself, so it should be even easier for Jinn. Ignoring the kunai Rin went for Xyxer only to noticed he's not where he stood, but now was right next to Jinn. Rin quickly targeted his legs and launched a swing at them with his ninjato, while preparing a kunai with his other hand.

By that time the clone was already gone.

Jinn would wait patiently for the mist to clear and when it finally did Jinn was able to see Xyxer. Though Xyxer gave him no time to react. He threw two kunai towards Jinn and Rin. The kunai collided and changed courses one headed for Jinn and the other towards Rin's clone. Jinn raised his ninjato and was prepared to block the attack, but he was caught off guard when Xyxer disappeared behind him. Jinn's first response was to attack with his ninjato, but Xyxer began to swipe his hand downwards, knocking the ninjato from his grasp. Now Jinn was in a bad situation because the kunai was flying towards him and Xyxer had made him defenseless. What should I do, Jinn would think quickly. Jinn would then notice Rin make an attempt to attack Xyxer's legs. Jinn took this opportunity to grab his ninjato from the ground and duck avoiding the incoming kunai. This move would give Jinn and Rin an advantage since, Xyxer now had to dodge his own kunai and Rin's ninjato.

As soon as Xyxer saw the ninjato drop from Jinn's hand, he almost immediately unsheathed his own Heavens Sorrow Ninjato. Holding it in a reversed position as was his way, he saw a poof of smoke in the distance that revealed he had destroyed a clone. So it was only the real Rin and Jinn now. He also noticed how Rin was attacking his legs with his own ninjato, which brought a small smirk to the lips of Xyxer under his mask. He also saw Jinn ducking which seemed like a bit of a mistake if the other boy was going to cut where he was ducking, so all Xyxer did was let go of him and jump up, putting one foot on Jinn's shoulder to push him to the ground if it was to land, while snatching his kunai from mid air due to his superior speed. He then front-flipped off from Jinn and towards Rin, ducking down and touching the ground behind him as he spun around with a kick to the boy's ankle to try and make him fall to the ground.

It all happened very fast. Right after the clone was dispelled, Jinn ducked to avoid the flying kunai, he also grabbed his ninjato that Xyxer had thrown off his hands, but Rin did not notice that. Most of his attention was directed at Xyxer, as he suddenly jumped up, catching his kunai in mid air and landing behind Rin with a flip. Rin pulled his hand back, shifting the ninjato's path and making it avoid Jinn. With but a quick glimpse Rin saw Xyxer's kick coming straight for his angle. At this position it would most certainly throw him off balance and probably make him fall down, and that's not good. Knowing he had no chance of dodging the attack, nor the time or free hands to prepare a substitution, Rin quickly turned most of his body around and barely managed to put his ninjato in the kick's way. If Xyxer was to proceed, he would land the attack, but at a cost of injuring his leg. At the same time Rin suddenly thrusted his other hand and threw the kunai he had prepared right at Xyxer's face... protected by a mask. The kunai was wired, so if it didn't hit Rin could pull it back to him and use again.
